《I Like Selena Gomez || Taelena Fanfiction (Taehyung x Selena Gomez)》Chapter 53

I laid comfortably on the bed while caressing Selena's face as she slept.
I stared up at the ceiling, my mind wandering off.
Something has been on my mind a lot lately. Of course, it's a bit soon, but I'd like to do it in a couple months.
So I've wanted to talk to Selena's mom about her thoughts on it, along with my mom and dad.
I got out of the bed slowly, trying not to wake Selena up.
I kissed her cheek as her head was now laying on the pillow as she peacefully slept.
I walked to the bathroom and brushed my teeth, fixing my hair after.
I went back to the bedroom after I was finished, taking off my pajamas and putting some different clothes on.
I made my way downstairs and spotted Selena's mom making breakfast along with my mom.
I smiled, loving how they immediately got along.
"Oh, Taehyung, you're awake." Mandy smiled at me once she turned around.
"Yeah, good morning." I smiled, sitting on a stool in front of the island.
"What're you guys making?" I asked.
"Well, your mom decided to make traditional Korean breakfast, so we decided to make a mix in between Korean and American. We were able to use a translator, it worked out pretty okay." She laughed.
I giggled and looked back at mom who also laughed.
"Everyone else is still asleep?" I asked.
Both mom and Mandy nodded, chuckling.
Hearing footsteps, we all turned around to see dad walking down the hallway, rubbing his eyes.
"Oh, good morning." He spoke, laughing.
This is perfect.
"Oh, guys can I talk to you all about something?" I asked, looking down shyly.
"Of course, let's go in the living room?" Mandy said and I nodded.
I told mom and dad what I said and they nodded in response, walking into the living room and sitting down on the couch.
Once we all settled down, I sighed nervously.
"What is it?" Mandy asked, a trace of concern in her voice.
"I've been thinking for a while, and..." I trailed off.
"I've been thinking about Selena and I's future. In just a couple months, I was thinking of proposing to her." I finished, looking back up at them.
I translated what I said to mom and dad and they looked shocked, just like Mandy.
I bit my lip nervously, scared of what they would say.
But they all exchanged looks, wide smiles growing on each other's faces.
"Why do you look so nervous?" Mom said, laughing.
My cheeks turned red and I shyly looked away.

Mandy laughed along with mom and dad, shaking her head.
"I-I didn't know how you guys would react!" I stuttered.
"You have my blessing, of course. You make Selena happy, Taehyung. There's nothing to be nervous about." Mandy reassured me, grabbing my hand.
I smiled at her, tearing up a little.
"We can't wait until we see you two married, it's destined to happy one day, right?" Mom spoke in Korean, chuckling at the end.
Dad laughed and nodded, "It certainly is, you two get along perfectly. Your relationship is very strong and stable."
"It's just- I was worried you might think it's too soon." I sighed, translating to both English and Korean.
"It won't be too soon, it'll be the perfect time. You both are around that age where you settle down with somebody and soon start a family, anyway." Mom said, giving me a warm smile.
"You're both madly in love and have a wonderful relationship, getting married will be amazing for you two." Mandy smiled at me.
"There's just one more thing, what will Selena say?" I sighed, rubbing my forehead thinking about it.
"The girl dreams of her wedding day, you have nothing to worry about." Mandy chuckled.
I laughed and dad pat my back, standing up.
"Nothing to worry about, bud." He reassured me.
"Oh, Taehyung, will you go get Gracie up? She'll sleep in if she doesn't get waken up." Mandy giggled.
"Sure thing." I smiled and stood up, walking to Gracie's room.
I opened the door, seeing Gracie peacefully asleep on the bed.
I sat on the edge of the bed and called her name softly.
She didn't wake up so I frowned, calling her name a bit louder.
But still, she didn't wake up.
She's a heavy sleeper.
I was about to call her name again, but I was interrupted by a voice coming from the doorframe.
I looked and saw Selena who stood there with her arms crossed against her chest.
"She's a heavy sleeper, I always use this technique to get her up." She smirked, walking over to the bed.
"Gracie, food's ready!" She called and Gracie immediately lifted her body up from the mattress, her hair all messed up.
"Food?" She widened her eyes.
"Yes. Let me fix your hair first, though. It looks like a rat played in it." Selena laughed, grabbing Gracie's hairbrush.
She sat down next to me, brushing Gracie's hair.
"Oh, hey, TaeTae. I didn't even see you." Gracie smiled.
I chuckled, shaking my head.
"Now, run to the kitchen, alright?" Selena told her and Gracie nodded quickly, getting out of the bed and running to the kitchen.

"All I had to do was say 'Food's ready'?" I raised my eyebrows.
"You're too soft with her. You act as if she's a piece of glass that can be easily broken." Selena laughed.
"Now, I'm hungry, let's go." Selena smiled, grabbing my arm and leading me to the kitchen.

After we are breakfast, I played with Gracie for a while until I decided to go into the kitchen for a drink, but as I entered the living room, I heard Selena's laugh.
Confused, I looked to my left only to see mom and dad showing Selena a photo album.
But looking closely, I saw that it was my baby photos.
"YAH! What're you doing?" I yelled.
"They're showing me your baby photos, Tae." She giggled, taking one from mom's hand.
"Look, you had such a cute butt." She laughed, showing me the photo.
My face turned red as I tried to get the photo from her, but she didn't let me.
I saw mom and dad chuckle behind Selena, and I shot them a glare.
"Why're you so upset? Look how cute you were!" She giggled.
"Because it's embarrassing." I mumbled.
"Everyone has baby photos, Tae. And luckily, your mom took plenty of you and your little baby butt." She laughed.
I frowned at her, but soon her mom entered the room.
"Did someone say baby photos?" She smirked, bringing out a photo album of her own.
Selena gasped, shaking her head at her mom, but Mandy just smirked at her.
I smirked at Selena.
"How about we all see your baby photos, Selena?" I smirked at her.
She stared at me, shooting me a glare, but I looked back at Mandy, smiling.
"Let's see them." I smirked.
Mandy sat in between all of us, opening the book as Selena looked away, covering her face with her hands.
But one caught my attention.
"Hey Mandy, can you hand me that one?" I asked her and she nodded, taking it out and giving it to me.
I uncovered Selena's hands from her face and made her look at the photo.
"Aww love, I think you had a cute butt, too." I smirked, raising my eyebrows at her.
Her face was red now, shooting me a glare but I smiled at how adorable she looked.
I handed the picture back to Mandy who laughed at us, putting the picture back.
Mom and dad chuckled at our behavior, shaking their heads.
After looking at each other's baby pictures, Selena came up with an idea.
"Let's go canoeing!" She smiled.
I smiled at the idea, nodding.
"You guys want to come?" Selena asked our parents, but they shook their heads.
"Gosh, I haven't done that in years." Mom said and I laughed.
"Looks like we're on our own, let's go?" I asked and Selena nodded excitedly.
"Hey, how come you're walking good now?" She asked once we got outside.
"My leg feels a little better now, I don't have to use crutches, but it still hurts a little." I responded as we made our way to the dock.
Once we reached the canoes, I got in first.
She looked unsure about the whole thing even though it was her idea, so I reassured her that it was fine.
"It's fine, I've done this before." I reassured her, holding my hand out to her.
She hesitantly took my hand, climbing into the canoe.
"Here, you can sit in front of me, alright?" I smiled.
She nodded, sitting in front of me and grabbed the paddle boards.
We started paddling the canoe, looking around the area.
"Wow, it looks really pretty out here." She said.
I nodded in agreement, "It really does."
"Hey Tae, look! There's the guys!" Selena pointed in front of us where their cabin was.
They were sitting outside of the cabin, grilling out.
They noticed us and started waving and we did the same in return.
We could literally hear Jungkook yelling "NOONA!" and we both laughed.
Once we reached a comfortable spot, we stopped paddling and took the time to admire the lake and all the hills and trees.
"Hey, Selena?" I called her name softly.
"Hmm?" She turned her body back to me, looking at me.
"Have you ever thought of marriage?" I asked her.
She seemed surprised, but nodded with a smile on her face.
"Of course I have." She replied.
"When do you think a couple should get married?" I asked her, nervous of her answer.
She smiled and giggled, "Well, it all depends. It doesn't really matter how long you're together, but how strong your bond is, all that stuff."
I nodded, understanding.
"What, you planning to propose?" She teased.
I widened my eyes, "U-uh, I-I..."
"I'm just teasing you." She chuckled.
I gulped, my heart rate calming down.
"Let's go back to the cabin, alright?"
