《I Like Selena Gomez || Taelena Fanfiction (Taehyung x Selena Gomez)》Chapter 43

It's been three days since Taehyung has been in a coma. I've only left the hospital to shower and eat since I've gotten tired of hospital food.
Taehyung remained the same, but I still stayed strong as my mom and the boys told me to.
They told me it was unhealthy how much time I spent at the hospital, but honestly I didn't really care.
I wanted to be there when he woke up, if he did.
The fans have been informed about it, too. I haven't checked my social media, but it's all over the news and everyone is worried.
I don't think I've ever been this depressed before. I've been way less productive, I haven't even been working.
Taehyung was on my mind 24/7. My mind didn't let me leave him and I didn't want to.
And for his parents; of course, they're worried, too. But they can't fly down because they don't have the money to right now.
I feel so bad for them, they're worried for their child who is in a coma all the way across the world.
So because if that, I sent them some money. They were shocked at first, and Namjoon told me that they said they couldn't take it.
However, I told them that it was necessary because I couldn't imagine myself in their position.
So now, they should arrive in LA tomorrow.
I held Taehyung's hand, softly caressing it as I looked up at his face.
My hand made its way to his hair, playing with it.
"Tae, please wake up soon. I can't handle it much longer." I whispered, caressing his cheek.
"Gracie got you a new blanket and some slippers. We don't want you to get cold and these hospital blankets can be uncomfortable sometimes." I smiled, taking them out of the bag mom and Gracie dropped off.
I opened the pack of purple slippers and giggled. Of course she got the purple ones.
I walked over to the edge of the hospital bed, uncovering his feet and sliding the slippers onto them.
I walked back over to the bag and got out the blanket, putting it over his body.
I made sure he was all covered up and sat back down beside him.
"I don't understand why everything bad happens to us... I just hope we can be happy one day." I looked down, trying not to cry.

"Without you, I can't be happy. Taehyung, you taught me so many things. You took me out of an abusive situation, you saved me," I weakly spoke, "yes, we had our troubles. But what couple doesn't? I can't go on without you, Tae."
I finished, tears falling down my eyes.
I calmed myself down and looked at his figure once again, standing up and running my hand from his jaw to his neck.
"I love you." I whispered, soothingly rubbing his cheek.
I gulped, "Your parents are coming tomorrow, they're very worried about you. I paid for their flights because they didn't have the money to. I can't imagine how they're feeling." I sighed.
"Your Korean lessons have really paid off, Tae... thanks for helping me. I can say basic sentences now." I smiled, trying to lighten the mood even though I knew he probably couldn't hear me right now.
"I'll be spending the night here, like usual. I don't want to not be here when you wake up." I slightly smiled, trying to make myself feel better.
I held his hand, "I'll be here."

Walking back to the hospital's café, I ordered myself a coffee and salad to keep me awake from the restless nights of sleep I've had.
The guy at the counter widened his eyes as he noticed me, but I ignored it.
They handed me my food after I handed them some money.
I thanked them and headed back to Taehyung's hospital room, placing my stuff down on the table.
I ate and after I finished, I threw it away.
I was going to check up on Taehyung, but I got a text.
Pulling out my phone, I saw it was Namjoon.
Namjoon: are you still at the hospital?
Selena: yeah, why?
Namjoon: Selena, you can't be there 24/7. It's not healthy
Selena: I have to, Joon. What if he wakes up and I'm gone?
Namjoon: it wouldn't be too bad to leave the hospital for just a little bit. let me take you to get some fresh air.
Selena: I don't know...
Namjoon: it'll be quick, we won't go too far
Selena: oh, alright.
Namjoon: I'll be there in just a bit, the guys are practicing
Selena: okay, see you soon

I put my phone away and looked back at Taehyung.
"I'll be back soon, Namjoon is taking me out to get fresh air. It's probably best for me, anyway..." I stated, sighing.
I heard the door open and there stood Namjoon.
He gave me a soft smile and looked back over at Taehyung.
He walked over to him, smiling sadly.
"I bet it's hard for you." I suddenly blurted out.
"It is... he's like a brother to all of us. It's been really hard on all of us, but mostly Jungkook and Jimin. He's very close with them, they're always sad." He sighed.
I nodded, understanding. "I can't imagine. You've all known him for so long..." I trailed off at the end.
I noticed Namjoon had some tears in his eyes, but he quickly wiped them away and looked over at me.
"Let's go now?" He asked.
I nodded, standing up with my purse.
I walked out of the room with Namjoon and we made our way down the elevator to the hospital exit.
We walked out and Namjoon looked at me, "We don't have to leave the hospital perimeter, we can just go on the walking trail, if you'd like."
"That'd be good." I nodded.
He nodded and we walked down the trail, looking at the little stream.
I smiled looking at the birds and butterflies. I felt like I could finally relax.
"Is this better?" He asked me, smiling.
"Yeah, it is. Thanks, Joon. I really appreciate it." I thanked him, smiling.
"It's no problem. We'll walk just a little longer and you can go back." He spoke, his hands in his pockets.
"Sounds good." I agreed, looking around at the beautiful nature I hadn't seen in days.
"You look really pale, by the way. You need more sunlight." He chuckled.
I laughed and nodded, "Yeah, I should probably start doing this more often, it's really relaxing."
"It really is. Back home in Korea, I would do this all the time. It's just so calming." He smiled while staring at the birds that rested on the benches.
"It's really pretty back in Korea, I enjoy every visit." I smiled, remembering all my visits.
"We enjoyed you coming, too. It was always so fun." He smiled back.
After a while of walking, we circled the whole building and made our way back the entrance.
"I can stay for a while if you want." Namjoon offered.
"If you're okay with it, some company would be fine." I smiled at him.
"Of course." He walked into the building with me and we made our way to Taehyung's room.
We walked in and I opened up the curtains that were closed. It looked so depressing in here.
The light shone through the window, making it look way better.
I looked out and saw the sunset.
"What time is it?" I asked Namjoon.
"5:30." Namjoon replied, looking at his phone.
"Really, already? Wow." I replied, looking back to the sunset.
Namjoon nodded and stood beside me, looking at the sunset with me.
"Please, Selena. Take care of yourself." Namjoon told me, turning to face me.
"I will, Joon." I took in a deep breath, then exhaling.
"You don't look like you have." He raised an eyebrow, looking at how pale I looked and my hollow cheeks.
"I know, I know I'm probably not healthy right now... I'll work on it." I reassuringly smiled at him.
"Promise?" He kept his eyebrows raised.
"Promise." I slightly smiled at him.
He looked convinced and nodded, "Thank you. We need you healthy, Selena."
"I understand..." I looked back at the sun which was already almost down.
"I have to go now, see you soon, Selena." He smiled at me.
"Bye, Joon." I gave him a hug and he happily returned it, then turning around and walking towards the door.
He waved goodbye and left, leaving me alone in the room with Taehyung, once again.
I sighed and sat down next to Taehyung like usual, holding his hand.
His hand felt cold, so I put both of his hands under the covers, hoping they'd get warm.
I grabbed the remote, hoping to settle down and relax after days of stress.
I turned it to a random channel, getting comfortable with the blankets the hospital gave me as I sat in the recliner chair.
I relaxed, finally getting some comfort after days of stress.
And soon enough, I found myself falling asleep.
