Selena's POV
I sat next to Taehyung's bed tiredly, feeling as if I could fall asleep any moment.
The boys were already gone since it was getting really late. They told me to make sure to get some rest and I agreed, but I wanted to keep an eye on Taehyung.
My hand caressed his cheek, my other one holding his hand.
"I'm sorry, Tae... this is my fault. I miss you so much already." I whispered, my voice trembling.
The door suddenly opened and there stood a nurse.
"Miss, you should get some sleep. You can use the recliner chair over there to rest and we can get you some warm blankets." She spoke in a comforting tone.
"Oh, can you get me some blankets please?" I asked politely.
"Of course, I'll be back." She smiled, exiting the room.
I played with Taehyung's long fingers, trying my best not to break down again.
The nurse soon came back with some warm blankets, handing them to me.
"Thank you so much." I thanked her.
"It's not a problem. Have a good rest." She responded and then walked out of the room, closing the door behind her.
I stood up and walked over to the recliner, pulling it next to Taehyung's bed and sitting down on it.
I put the blankets over me and held Taehyung's hand again.
I looked up at his face and kissed his cheek.
"Night, Tae." I whispered.
I relaxed against the chair and laid my head against it, closing my eyes.

I awoke from my slumber, looking around only to hear someone calling my name.
I rubbed my eyes and saw that it was my mom. I looked beside her and saw Gracie, who was staring at Taehyung's body.

"M-mom?" I stuttered.
"Selena, honey, are you okay? We got a call and they told us everything." She spoke worriedly.
"Mom, I'm fine. It's Taehyung... he's in a coma." I responded, my voice weak.
"I-I'm so scared, mom. I love him." I cried and she pulled me into a hug.
"It's going to be alright, honey. He'll wake up soon and he'll be fine and healthy." She comforted me, rubbing circles on my back.
I looked back at Gracie who was still looking at Taehyung, her hand sliding up the bed to reach Taehyung's hand.
I looked at her sadly, pulling away from my mother's grasp and getting up from the recliner.
I walked over to her and bent down to her level. "Gracie, are you alright?" I asked her softly.
She had some tears in her eyes, "When will TaeTae wake up?" She asked sadly.
"I don't know, Gracie. But he will be okay, alright?" I reassured her even though I was hurting.
She nodded sadly, her tiny hand wrapping around his finger.
I didn't notice before, but she held her Tata plushie in her other hand, holding onto it tightly.
My heart felt broken while I looked at her, she was absolutely devastated.
"I'm going to get us some breakfast from the cafeteria, alright?" Mom spoke and Gracie and I nodded.
She made her way out of the room and I looked back at Gracie.
"Come here, Gracie." I smiled softly to her, trying to cheer her up.
She looked back and walked over to me, sitting down on my lap on the chair.
I pushed her hair back and looked at her.
"You know, he wouldn't want us to be sad, right?" I reassured her.
She nodded, but looked back down at her fingers.

"I remember when you were talking about how dad didn't really spend much time with me. TaeTae told me that he'll always be here for me and support me." She spoke, still looking at her fingers.
I pulled her into a hug, rubbing her back.
"It's okay, Gracie. Don't be worried, Tae wouldn't want that." I softly whispered to her.
She nodded and pulled away, but suddenly let out a giggle.
"What is it?" I asked, confused.
"I remember the first time we came over. TaeTae kept looking at you with these sparkles in his eyes, he looked silly. I could tell he liked you so when he took me to play I asked him if he had a crush on you," she told me, "his face turned red like a tomato and he started to stutter a lot! I never really got an answer from him, he just said that he thought you were pretty and very kind." She finished, still giggling.
I laughed, "I remember when he got horseradish confused with mayonnaise because the labels were ripped off. He put it on his sandwich and when he took a bite he started to gag a lot. He immediately ran to the bathroom and when he came back, he started whining and complaining." I giggled.
She laughed and looked back at Taehyung.
"Do you think he'll be okay?" She asked me, looking back at me worriedly.
"Gracie, Taehyung is strong. I'm sure he'll be okay." I reassured her, giving her a big hug.
"I hope." She whispered.
Soon, mom came back and handed us some pancakes.
"I don't want you two to be hungry." She smiled.
She looked back at Taehyung and sighed.
"You know, Selena, I told you he's the one. The Taehyung I know would tell you to stay strong and to not be sad. He's been here with you for everything, helping you with your struggles, comforting you. And trust me, someday you will be happy with him." She smiled to me in a comforting way.
I looked at her, smiling sadly.
"You're right, mom..." I nodded, looking at Taehyung's body.
She smiled and held me and Gracie's hands.
"You two, Taehyung would be proud of you for staying strong." She smiled at us.
Gracie nodded, her Tata plushie being held against her chest.
"Thanks, mom." I smiled.

After a while, Gracie and mom left and I was once again left alone with Taehyung.
The boys texted me that they had to be in practice for an upcoming performance so they couldn't come yet.
However, they did remind me not to stay in the hospital all day and night. They wanted me to stay healthy while I was looking out for Taehyung since they knew he would want that, too.
I sighed and looked back down at Taehyung, who was of course still asleep.
"It's funny how I always thought I'd be alone. I would wake up in the morning feeling miserable..." I started, caressing his cheek, "but then you came along... I no longer felt empty and broken. You healed me. I've never loved someone as much as I love you, Tae. Please, even though you probably can't hear me right now, stay strong as you would always tell me. Don't leave me." I practically begged him.
Tears threatened to fall down my cheeks, but I didn't let them.
"I will stay strong for you." I whispered.

It will be published in 19 chapters, roughly one chapter per day. Reviews and comments are much appreciated. And if you actually read all the way to the end, I will be extremely grateful if you could post a comment saying so. After all, the whole point of me publishing this is to share the story with at least one other person, and to know about it. And, yes, I don’t have any graphic artist skills. How did you guess?
