《I Like Selena Gomez || Taelena Fanfiction (Taehyung x Selena Gomez)》Chapter 36

Today we were going to meet Taehyung's parents since we have to leave to go back to America tomorrow and Taehyung wanted me to meet them as soon as possible.
Of course I was nervous because I know some Korean but not much. I just hope I make a good impression on them.
Since it wasn't going to be formal, I wore something simple.
I put some light makeup on like usual, putting in some earrings and the necklace Taehyung gave me once again.
I left my hair wavy and once I finished, Taehyung appeared behind me, back hugging me.
He hid his face in my neck, smiling.
"You ready to go?" He asked.
"Yeah, how about you?"
"I am too, let's go." He smiled, grabbing my hand.
I held my purse in my other hand, walking beside him as we made our way to the front door, then exiting and making our way to his car.
I got into the passenger seat, sighing nervously as he got in on the other side.
"You look nervous." He spoke while starting up the car.
"I am a little bit..." I admitted, nervously looking out the window.
"There's nothing to be nervous about. My parents have loved you for a long time, even before we met." He reassured me, smiling.
"It's just the language barrier... I will only be able to understand some of what they're saying." I said, looking at him.
"It'll be okay. I'll translate for you." He smiled at me.
"It won't be as bad as you think it will be, I promise." He said, driving off to his parent's house.
"We have a while of driving ahead of us." Taehyung said, slightly smiling.
During the whole drive, we listened to some random songs we had on our playlists and even listened to some of our own.
After getting some fast food midway, I fell asleep.
"Selena..." I heard a deep but soft voice call.
"Hm?" I hummed, still half asleep.
"We're here."
I then opened my eyes, looking around.
"Are you ready to go in?" He asked.
Looking at Taehyung, I nodded, yawning.
I got out of the car, following behind him as we made our way to the doorstep.

I nervously stood beside him as he rang the doorbell.
Footsteps were head on the other side of the door as it soon opened, revealing a woman who I'm assuming was his mother.
She looked from him to me with a big smile on her face.
"Eomma!" He smiled, immediately hugging her.
A man then appeared behind the woman.
The man smiled, going over to Taehyung and hugging him.
After they pulled away, Taehyung introduced me to them in Korean, which I understood.
"Eomma, appa, this is my girlfriend, Selena." He spoke, his face turning red.
His parents turned their attention back towards me, smiling brightly at me.
I kindly introduced myself to them properly since they've probably only seen me on interviews, shows, and the internet.
They then invited us in and we made our way to the living room with them.
Taehyung's mother then began speaking in Korean, some I understood and some I didn't.
"She says that she was shocked once we became friends, she didn't really expect it. And once we started dating, she wasn't shocked anymore." He said and I laughed.
After talking to his parents for a while, his mother invited me into the kitchen.
She talked a bit in English and I understood what she was trying to say.
She wanted to cook with me.
She showed me a recipe that she had on her phone and I nodded, getting out a pan.
She smiled at me and we talked a bit while making some food. She was very nice towards me and she tried her best to speak with me in the English she knew.
After we finished, she thanked me and I smiled kindly at her, telling her that it was no problem and that I enjoyed it.
"Selena, let's go to my room." Taehyung suddenly came into the kitchen and I looked at him after I finished drying my hands.
I excused myself from his mother and made my way to his room with him.
"What is it?" I asked him as he closed the door.
"I wanted to show you around my room." He smiled at me.
"I haven't been here in a while... you may or may not know but I was raised by my grandmother so I never lived with my mom and dad, but we've always been close. I moved all my stuff into my parents extra bedroom once she... passed." He spoke sadly, and I could tell he was trying his best not to break down.

I got up, walking over to him and caressing his cheek.
"You know... you don't have to act strong around me, right? If you want to cry, cry. I'll be here for you. I can't imagine how hard it was for you once she passed." I softly said and tears began to stream down his face.
He hid his face in my neck as he sobbed into it while I rubbed his back, comforting him as best as I could.
"She's in a better place now, Tae... and I'm sure she's proud of you." I comforted him, wrapping my arms around him.
He nodded, soon calming down. He pulled away from me, letting out a deep breath.
I softly smiled at him, wiping off the remaining tears on his face.
"I'm gonna go to the restroom to freshen up real quick, alright?" He said and I nodded.
He walked out of the room, going to the bathroom.
I then walked around his room and peeled into the closet.
What's this?
I raised an eyebrow, walking into the closet and bending down, getting a better look at what I saw.
I laughed, seeing what it was.
It was three posters of me with my signature on them.
It looked like he had put them away a while ago, but I noticed that it was a set of them and the other two were missing.
But just as I turned around, I saw Taehyung standing there and I flinched.
He noticed what I was looking at and his face turned deep red.
"Y-you weren't supposed to see that!" He accidentally stuttered.
I laughed, "You were a fanboy of mine even when you were younger?"
"Yah! Stop looking, just pretend like you didn't see it, alright?" He said, embarrassed.
"Where's the other two? This is a poster set." I raised an eyebrow, smirking a bit.
He sighed, "Back home in the closet..."
"What?! How come I never saw them?" I widened my eyes, surprised.
"I hid them well." He laughed.
He grabbed my hand, pulling me out of the closet.
He pulled me onto the bed, hovering over me as he kissed me softly.
But suddenly the door opened as his mom stood there.
She said something in Korean and Taehyung's cheeks flushed red as he jumped off of me.
He whined something back to her while I just giggled silently at how red his face was.
His mom laughed as she closed the door and I wondered what she said that got his face so red. Well, besides the fact that she walked in on us kissing.
"What'd she say?" I asked him.
"Nothung..." he said shyly.
"Come on, tell me!" I whined, crawling behind him and wrapping my arms around his neck and placing my head on his shoulder.
"Fine. She said she didn't want any grandkids anytime soon so I should calm down..." he almost whispered.
I then laughed hysterically, falling back onto the bed.
"It's not funny!" He pouted, his face still the same shade of red from earlier.
I got up, crawling over to his lap and sitting down on it.
"Your face is so red." I laughed, feeling how hot his cheeks were.
He muttered something in Korean and I narrowed my eyes at him.
"What did you say?"
"Nothing."
"Stop lying. What did you say?"
"I told you, nothing."
"Stop lying Kim Taehyung."
"Fine, do you really want to know?"
I nodded my head and he smirked before whispering something in my ear.
I widened my eyes, immediately slapping his chest.
"You dirty little-!"
"You said you wanted to know." He shrugged his shoulders.
"Yeah, well, I didn't know it'd be something like that!" I told him, my face turning red.
"Now your face is red!" He laughed.
I hid my face in his neck, embarrassed.
He giggled, "Let's go spend time with my parents now, okay?" He asked and I nodded, smiling.
