My eyes widened at first, but then I settled into the kiss, kissing him back. 

He then wrapped one arm around my waist and put his other hand on my cheek, deepening the kiss.

I then wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him closer.

The fireworks exploding in the sky made the moment even more magical.

His grip tightened around my waist as he pulled me closer, smiling into the kiss.

After a bit, we then pulled away for air. My cheeks flushed deep red as I looked at him.

Suddenly, cheers erupted, and we turned around, seeing the boys and many other people clapping and cheering.

Jin covered Jungkook's eyes who held a camera, recording the whole thing. I widened my eyes, my cheeks turning into an even deeper shade of red.

"YAH! How long have you guys been there?!" Taehyung yelled, which I didn't understand because it was in Korean.

"Well, you guys did steal the show." Yoongi said, which I didn't understand as well.

"Go, shoo!" he said, shooing them away.

They all then walked away to go watch the fireworks.

Taehyung then looked at me and blushed.

"What about Sumi?" I suddenly asked and he raised his eyebrows in confusion.

"What about her?" he asked.

"I thought that you and her liked each other." I said and suddenly he started to giggle.

"Hey, what's so funny?!" I asked.

"Me and Sumi don't like each other in that way. She has a fiancé. They're getting married soon. That's why she dropped off that envelope, she invited me to her wedding and you're going to be my plus one." he said, smirking and then put his arms around my waist.

I stared at his with my mouth wide open. "Wait, then how come she would always give me glares like this?" I said, demonstrating the way she gave me glares.

He then giggled.

"I'll explain everything. So back in high school, me and Sumi did date. But she asked me out, I didn't like her more than a friend, but I didn't want to hurt her feelings by rejecting her. When I finally realized that leading her on would only hurt her more, I finally told her that I only saw her as a friend. Of course, she was sad, but we ended on good terms. She understood and I'm very thankful for that. We lost contact, but apparently a couple months after we broke up, she found a guy who she really liked, and he felt the same. They began dating, and here they are now." he explained.

I nodded, taking in all the information.

"And the reason why I've been spending so much time with her is because of course, we wanted to catch up. I also went wedding dress shopping with her because she really wanted me to come. She doesn't dislike you, it's just she's always been overprotective over me. She wants the best for me and I want the same for her." he said and I nodded.

I sighed. "Sorry for assuming things." I said. He then smiled. "If I were in your shoes I would've done the same." he said.

He then suddenly inhaled, looking down at me. And his next words made my cheeks immediately heat up.

"Selena, will you be my girlfriend?"

Not knowing what to say, I looked back into his eyes.

"Tae- I-I don't know..." I said and he looked at me with a sad expression but then nodded.

"You're right, it's fine. You just got out of an abusive relationship, and you've only known me for like a month." he said and I sadly looked at him, cupping his cheeks.

"No, it's just that I need to really decide if my feelings towards you is love. I don't want to hurt you by saying yes if I only see you as a friend." I said and he nodded.

"I'll wait for you. I know I love you, Selena." he said and I gulped and smiled.

"Let's just enjoy the rest of the night." he said and I nodded.

He then sat down on the grass, pulling me into his lap and securing his arms around me.

The rest of the night, me and Taehyung pretended like nothing happened and had as much fun as we could.

I opened my eyes, looking around tiredly.

I sat up, recognizing the room I was in. I then tiredly got up out of the bed, getting ready for the day.

Once I remembered what happened yesterday, I blushed. But at the same time, I felt bad for Taehyung. I don't want him to be hurt because of me.

I then made my way to the kitchen, seeing Taehyung shirtless (as usual) making bacon and eggs.

I then walked up beside him. "Can I help?" I asked. He then nodded. "Yeah, just go get some plates." he said and I then did as he said, grabbing two plates out of the cabinet.

And just as I got them, he got finished cooking. I placed the plates down and he put the food in them.

We then began to eat at the counter together. After we finished, I cleaned both the dishes.

I could feel Taehyung's stare burned into the back of my head, so I then turned around and faced him.

He then looked into my eyes and then began to speak, "I was just going to tell you that I'm going to practice today." he said coldly and then went to his bedroom to get dressed.

What's up with him, why is he being so cold all of a sudden? It's probably because of me, isn't it?

I sighed and soon Taehyung walked out of his bedroom, putting on a jacket.

"Bye." he said and then left.

Sighing, I then went on social media. It sure is boring without him.

I suddenly heard the front door open and I walked out of my room, seeing that it was indeed Taehyung.

He tiredly made his way to the kitchen and got a glass of water.

I then stood a couple feet away from him and his eyes then met mine after some time.

"What is it?" he asked. "N-nothing, how was practice?" I asked.

"It was okay." is all he said and then made his way to his room, closing the door.

I sighed and then made my way back to my room, turning off the light and plopping down onto my bed.

It was already dark out and I was tired because of how late we stayed up last night because of New Years.

I then got under the covers, trying to go to sleep. But as much as I tried, I couldn't.

The noises outside were scaring me and haunted me because of the way Justin would lock me into that guest room and even outside sometimes.

I gulped. My two options were to either make my way into Taehyung's room or stay here and remain afraid.

Getting out of bed, I decided to go with the first option.

Making my way towards Taehyung's room, I opened the door slowly.

"Tae?" I softly called, seeing him in bed already.

He didn't answer.

I then slowly made my way towards his bed, checking to see if he was awake. But no, he was asleep.

I then made my way into his bed. He wouldn't mind, right? We've done this before.

However, as soon as I got into his bed, he then shuffled around, opening his eyes to meet mine.

"Selena? What are you doing in here?" he said in an annoyed tone.

"I-I'm sorry, Tae, I was just sc-" I said, but suddenly he cut me off.

"Selena, stay in your room, alright? I don't need you in here all the time. Now go." he said coldly.

I then got out of his bed, doing as he said.

I then spared a sad and scared glance at him before closing his door and walking back to my room.

Sobbing, I cried myself to sleep.
