《The Healer | ✔》48. You're Not A Raichand.

If not for the people around him, Kabir would have acted on his fantasies for her on the very next second. And much more cruelly than he had first imagined.

His eyes, as dark as night. And stormy to bring the destruction.

Addictions are fatal. That's how he is with anger. The way his muscles tensed, fists planted firmly on the table and canines gnashed against each other as if waiting to chunk out a flesh of his prey, were enough signs to know that he had lost his ability to think properly.

His soul was burning, and he was trying to hold himself back.

"I'm done.", He gritted out, getting up and ready to go.

"You know that you're no Raichand right?", Kabir's veins swelled, as if wanting to explode.

His fists were shaking and he was taking deep breaths to hold the wavering patience that was on the edge to snap apart.

"Shut the fuck up!", He looked at her, his eyes warning her to keep her silence. They were blazing and so dominating that one would have went on his knees to seek for apology.

The aura around him was thick, powerful and scary. But she was too ignorant to realize the threat she was inviting for herself.

"Why, Kabir? Did I poke any old scar?", She remarked.

He forced himself to not act on his desires that were screaming at him to grab her throat and twist it painfully. Leaning down, he placed his hands on table, and lowered himself to her eye level.

She tried not to show the fear on her face.

His face appeared beastly, and so very charming. Like a devil with intentions of death but illusions of life.

"If I were you, I would have kept my mouth shut.", He whispered, eyes blank and soulless.

"My father built everything on his own.", She started bitterly, when he gave out no response, she scoffed. "He brought the company where it was before you snatched it from us. Unlike you, we weren't served everything on silver platter. Back in school, I thought you were weird. But no, you're just an evil soul who doesn't deserve to be among humans!", She snarled. Venom dripping down her every spoken word.

"So sad.", He pitied, tilting his head as he looked at her with a pout. But his eyes gleamed in mock, contrasting his words of sympathy.

She looked at him with disgust.

"You've no shame!", She sniffed.

"Hmm hmm.", He hummed, nodding his head lazily. Half lidded eyes looking at her with no interest. He decided to sit, until she completes her sad sob story. Let's see if he can end this chapter today.

Her spine straightened when he sat down and brought his ankle over the other knee. His arms propping on the armrest, one of them folding to hold his chin as he fixed his eyes on her. He looked lazy, but sinister.

She gulped.

"Continue.", He added when she continued to stare at him.

"Other people had always been a joke to you, right?", She scowled. "I'm not going to rattle my sad story to you. Don't worry. I know you've had done your research and know perfectly who I am.", She said as she took a deep breath. "The only thing you should know is that you're the most pathetic man I've ever seen.", She spat out. His brows shot up, trying to act surprise. "Remember who you are Kabir. Before you were adopted. Sardesai. That's what you are. That's your real identity. You don't deserve this luxury, it's not yours. What do you have that you can claim as yours? Let me answer that, nothing! Absolutely nothing! So who gave you the right to steal others hard earned property? You were always an outcast and would have remained the same if not for the Raichand surname! Get one thing straight, apart from this high held ego, you've nothing.", She said maliciously before opening her purse and slapping some cash on the table. Throwing one last glare in his direction, she stormed out.

His ability to understand nuances and emotional generosity was blinded by rage. He could clearly hear the sound of her clicking heels, that's how sharply he was keeping an eye on her. The moment that sound faded, he stood up sending the chair flying back on the marble floor. His hands curled around the edge of the table and he flipped it. The cutleries falling down on floor with an unpleasant clinking sound.

"Wha-What!? You can't do this-", The man in well tailored suit halted after seeing the promise of destruction in Kabir's eyes. "Pl-Please.", He whispered.

Kabir fished out his wallet. Grabbing the bundle of notes, he slammed them on the man's chest who stumbled back at the harsh push. Glancing around quickly, he found many eyes following him as he walked out of the restaurant. He unlocked the car with the key fob and entered, before driving out of the car park.

There were only two aims slamming hard against the walls of his brains; to build a powerful empire that'll drive any other businessman insane and bring destruction to Mehrotras.

She dared to insult him like that? Oh well, she knows nothing about the beast that is now awake and ready to seek satisfaction in her downfall.

Rivaah moved out of kitchen when Pooja answered her call.

"Yes, Di?", Pooja asked absent-mindedly.

"When were you going to tell me about your relationship with Aarav?", Rivaah asked tauntingly.

"So he told you? What a tattletale!", Pooja hissed.

Rivaah rolled her eyes.

"Why didn't you tell me?", She asked.

"Because it was nothing important! Just casual dating.", Pooja dismissed it as unimportant.

"It was for him, Pooja. He wants to marry you. Respect his feelings please.", Rivaah sighed. Her sister was always a woman who overlooked emotions and judged people quickly without knowing them better.

"No, Di! I mean, we had known each other for so long and now he started having interest in me? That's complete bullshit! He must have thought I'll be like you, so let's try a chance. Men of his age want to settle down and needs a naive wife to produce kids for them.", Pooja said without realizing what a blunder she created because of the choice of her words.

"What do you mean by like me?", Rivaah asked angrily.

"Shit! No, I mean-"

"Save it! In your eyes I must be a naive wife producing kids for my husband, but thank God my husband knows my worth. You know what Pooja, Aarav deserves someone different. You're not right for him. I tried to tell my husband about this, but as a brother he wanted to try. So I made a final attempt. But don't worry, Aarav will be out of your life before you blink. He respects me and my words. I'll find a nice, mature and responsible lady for him. Now that you believe that all he needs is a homely wife, then why not? You live your life. He'll live his. Just don't regret in future. Bye. Take care of yourself and of Ma and dad.", With that, Rivaah hung up. She sighed a deep breath and struggled to calm herself. Her sister is still a little birdie and may say something that she doesn't mean. She needs to be the understanding one and forget this conversation ever happened.

She then dialled Aarav's number.

"Bhabhi, I missed you!", Aarav beamed.

"Are you drunk?", Rivaah gasped.

"No!", He hiccuped. "Okay, a little.", He admitted.

"Where are you?", She enquired.

"Somewhere.", He mumbled.

"Aarav!", Rivaah almost shouted.

"Geez! You call me after so many days to yell at me? I can feel your non-existent love rolling in waves!", He slurred. "By the way, where's my little monster. I miss him so much. I want to squish his little body and kiss him all over his face!", He added with a dreamy sigh.

"I called Pooja.", She said and his breath hitched.

"You know Bhabhi, your sister is so heartless.", Aarav sniffed. "She's not answering my calls. And leaves me on seen. I miss her so much. More than I miss my Reyansh. But she doesn't care.", He said defeatedly.

"Aarav, get your head straight please. Where are you?"

"Uhm, in some bar. I don't remember the name.", He mumbled, sounding lost.

"Is there someone near you?"

"There's this girl but she's not pretty than Pooja.", He commented with a scoff.

Rivaah face-palmed herself mentally. "Hand your phone to her."

"She wants to talk to you.", She heard him say.

"Who?"

"My Bhabhi, duh!", He said sassily. As if everyone should know who he was talking to on his phone.

"Uhm, hello?"

"Ah yes, I'm sorry on his behalf. He's little drunk.", Rivaah apologized immediately.

"Little? He's tripping even while sitting. He's heavily drunk.", She responded.

"Oh. Can you please tell me the address of the bar. I'll send someone to get him.", Rivaah said and noted down the address on the tissue paper with Reyansh's sketchpen that was lying on the floor since morning.

"He's asking for his phone.", She said.

"Oh okay. Give it back to him please. And thank you.", Rivaah replied.

"It's fine."

"Bhabhi, I'm seeing everything double. Will I be able to see two Pooja? Can I have one for myself?", He asked sounding hopeful.

Rivaah chuckled.

"You know Bhabhi, my friends gave me the idea of impregnating her so she'll have no choice but to marry me. But that'll be so wrong. I want her. But I want her happy too. And if I do something like that, then she'll not be happy. Betraying is a sin, right?", He asked innocently.

"Right.", Rivaah said. Noting in her mind to talk about his friends with Kabir. What kind of friends suggests something so outrageous and disgusting thing?

"Hmm. But she's stubborn. She's-", Rivaah hung up. She called her father in law and made him aware of Aarav's current location.

"Thanks for telling, Baccha. Have you had dinner?", Vihaan asked in a fatherly voice.

"Not yet. Kabir is not home.", She said.

"Okay. I hope you are doing good? Is the baby healthy?"

"Yeah. On our last prenatal visit, we listened to the baby's heartbeat.", She smiled shyly.

"That's amazing. I can't wait to hold my grandchild in my arms. That reminds me, how's my grandson?", He asked, curiosity and adoration shining in his tone.

"He's in study room. He's always there since he found the room.", She chuckled.

"Already a workaholic!", Vihaan laughed. "Good for him. He's the one who'll handle all Raichand empire after I retire and Kabir takes the position of chairman.", he added gleefully.

"And Aarav?", She asked.

"He'll be vice chairman of course!", Vihaan said as if it's obvious.

"Will that not create a tiff between them?", She asked fearfully.

Vihaan laughed. "Oh darling! If you're scared of that then you don't know the bond they share. Aarav will die for Kabir and same goes for Kabir as well. Both brothers share same soul. Even if not same blood. So don't worry. And I know who deserves what. So believe on me.", He said. After a minute more talk, they hung up.

"But what if Reyansh is not interested in getting involved with the family business?", She questioned herself as she saw her son running out of study room behind Murphy with his toy stethoscope in hands.

She stiffened as the air around her turned thick. Kabir strode in, his leather boots slapping against the cold floor as he spared no glance to anyone and climbed upstairs. The aura surrounding him was threatening, ready to burn the one on receiving end of his wrath. She wondered who pissed him off at this extent.

"Mo-Mommy?", Reyansh called out. He didn't miss the rage on his father's face.

"Daddy seems angry about something. You stay here. I'll che-", both of them flinched at the sound of door being slammed harshly. "I'll check.", She gulped before following his tail.

She was about to knock but decided otherwise. Gently nudging on the door, she found it open and pushed it ajar. The room looked as if it witnessed a storm few seconds ago.

"Ka-Kabir?", She whispered as she slowly entered, so cautiously as if stepping inside an untamed lion's cage.

Hearing the sound of running water, she tip toed toward bathroom and peeked in. He was just beside the door, near the wash basin. After splashing water on face, he gripped the edge of basin and looked up. Panting like a wild animal.

She flinched as his bloodshot red eyes landed on her. The water slowly trailed down his sinfully gorgeous face, and she noticed the tight gripping of his knuckles around the wash basin.

Lavanya has poked the sleeping devil, and now he's completely awake. With the only intention of unleashing his wrath on the one who dared to stand against him.
