The first Monday after the event, was the first working for the siblings as the CEOs.

"It feels surreal, doesn't it?" Mayera spoke in a daze.

"Yes!" Kabir smiled.

They both knew that they'll be getting the company one day, and they both have worked very hard to achieve it. And now when they've finally got it, they felt on top of the world.

"Sir, ma'am! These are the files you asked for." Naveen, Tejas' PA, was a 55 year old man.

Kabir and Mayera exchanged looks. "Sir, ma'am?"

"Now that you both have become CEOs, I'd have to respect you." Naveen teased them.

"No matter what we become, we'll always be Kabiru and Mayeru for you, Uncle." Kabir spoke in a very serious tone.

Naveen Kashyap had been Tejas' PA since the very start of the company. That was why he had practically seen Kabir and Mayera grow up in front of his eyes. He was like a second father to both of them.

And now along with Tejas, Naveen had also decided to retire and spend the rest of his days with his kids. He was just coming to the office for a few days, till both the new CEOs appoint their own assistants.

After he left them with the files, which were of all the deals and projects going on which they'll be taking care of, they started going through them.

"Almost half of our project's base is in New Delhi. Till Dad was the CEO, I used to keep making visits to the capital every month or so. But this can't go on now. One of us has to shift there to handle that base."

Mayera knew what Kabir was talking about. Earlier it was easy to manage all the work from Mumbai, but in the last decade, KaMa had grown tremendously. So many of the projects became more cost effective if their bases were in the capital of the country. Eventually their dad used to go there whenever any problem arose but later on, after Kabir joined working in the company, he took those trips.

But they knew that when they take over the company, one of the CEOs will have to stay in Delhi full time so that they can save their energy and time on those trips and work on making KaMa more larger than it already was.

But they hadn't decided who would be shifting

"Who will go?" Mayera asked.

"Well, if we speak logically, I've spent more time with our clients and we've built a rapport with each other. And these are the same people who think you've only got this position because of nepotism. I don't think they'll be very thrilled while dealing with you, at least not in the initial years. Also, you've stayed in Delhi for half an year, you've met many business people there while working at the Singhania Corporation. It might work in your favor if you operate from there."

Mayera knew Kabir was right. It'll be more logical if he stayed in Mumbai, and she went to Delhi. But going to Delhi meant going where he was.

"This is just my point of view. We can discuss this more and you can take as much time as you want to come up with a decision." Kabir said when he saw his sister in some deep thought.

He'd never want to force his sister into anything. For him, her happiness and comfort mattered the most, and if she wanted to stay in Mumbai, he'd accept it and shift to Delhi himself. Giraffe would do anything for his munchkin.

Mayera took Kabir's advice. She thought about it a lot and then came to the decision that she will be shifting to Delhi.

So what if he's going to be there too? She couldn't let that influence her decision. She decided that she'd not let anything affect her work, especially not him.

And anyway she couldn't avoid him forever! Their companies work together, they have the same social circle. They'd keep meeting in future. So she'd have to get over him and just see him what he was, just her business acquaintance.

Just business acquaintances! It crushed her heart to even think that he'd never be anything more than that. That's what their relationship is going to be, purely professional.

Mayera knocked on Kabir's bedroom door.

"It's open!" He said from inside.

She barged in.

"Giraffe, I'll be going to Delhi."

"You sure, munchkin?" He stood up from his bed. "If you want to stay here, you can. I'll go."

"No, you'll handle Mumbai better and I'll work in Delhi more easily. It's best if we do this."

He took her in a comforting hug, "I'll talk to dad tomorrow."

After Mayera left, he took his phone and called someone.

"She agreed." Kabir informed the other person.

"Oh, thank God." The man on the other side of the phone exclaimed.

"But keep in mind, Arjun, if you hurt her again, if I ever see a single tear shedding her eyes because of you, I'll personally make sure that you're not capable of doing anything ever again in your life." Kabir's threat sent shivers down Arjun's spine.

"I promise the only thing I'll bring to your sister is happiness. Thank you for giving me a chance."

Arjun had gone to meet Kabir On Sunday, before leaving for Delhi. He came clean before him and told him everything he had said to his sister and how he had hurt her.

At the end of the story, a punch landed on Arjun's sharp, pointed nose. He didn't mind it one bit. In fact he was expecting much more than just a punch. If someone had done something like this with Alina, that guy would not have lived to see another daylight.

He knew he didn't deserve another chance with Mayera, but he was selfish. He needed her. So he begged her brother to do something that'll help him, that'll send her close to him.

After seeing the desperate-ness and selfless love for his munchkin, Kabir had agreed to talk to Mayera about shifting to Delhi. But he told Arjun that he would not force her. He'd just suggest it and if she agreed with her own free will, then he can try to convince her. Otherwise, forget her.

Arjun had taken that chance. He didn't know why but his heart believed that she'd come. And it was proved that his heart was indeed right!

She was coming!
