A few days have past since the wedding. We finally got back home last night late from our little family trip in place of the normal honeymoon for Jack and I.

Everyone of us enjoyed being at the cabin with no phones or anything. We ended up spending much of the night hours driving around and seeing all types of Christmas lights and then trying to decide which were the best. During the day we went to some of the local shops they had in town and a few that were put up just for Christmas time. Not to mention the snow covered mountains are a photographers dream with the beauty it holds.

It may be cold as the artic but I for one enjoyed this little shop we ventured into where we got to see ice cream being made. The owners even will make the flavors you want personally right in front of you and that was magic to me. Needless to say, Jack laughed for the rest of the day due to Nicolas and myself being hyped up on extreme amounts of sugar. Not the best thing to have before lunch but it was oh so delicious.

Jack and I have learned a new position for our time together rolling in the sheets. With us both on our sides with him behind me. Which is much more enjoyable than bring on all fours and worried about falling onto my very large bump with Miss Eve.

I just finished helping to clean our breakfast dishes. Jack has to go in to his shop right after lunch for some sessions. Which means, this Mama is going out to shop for Christmas. We have a little over three weeks now before it is here and I hadn't bought the first gift yet.

"Okay, so I brought all the boxes in from the shed out back." Jack walks in with the last box.

"Thank you." I smile and walk over into the living room.

Nicolas has so much energy and is ready to decorate. He practically jumps in place as Jack opens the large box that holds the six foot tree.

Together we place the lights on the tree. Once they are on Nicolas and I get to placing ornaments, while Jack hangs lights around the living room ceiling. This house will be decked out and just the way I love to have it.

Last year I didn't do this but I spent my time with them both in the hospital and we had a little decorations there. My heart was already with them so much it didn't feel right spending much time here at home, but now this is all of our home.

With three of us working on placing everything it doesn't even take two full hours. Unlike doing it myself would last almost the entire day.

I laugh lightly to myself.

"Ready guys?" Nicolas calls out before flipping the main switch for all the lights and decorations to turn on, as Jack turns the main lights off.

Our living room and kitchen are alight with Christmas cheer. It makes me feel so giddy and just like a small kid myself all over again.

"Oh one more thing little man." I walk over to the last box that hasn't been emptied and taken back to the shed.

Nicolas walks over with me.

"This is your very own personal little tree for your room so it has something decorated too." I hand the box to him and he smiles.

"What about yours and Dad's room?"

"I already put the tiniest tree from the hosptial last year on our dresser. So the largest tree is in here and then you get a medium tree and we get the smallest. Right now we won't have a tree in the nursery, but I did place a little snowman in there." I smile at Nicolas.

He takes the box and goes to his room. As Jack walks over and kisses my lips.

"I got to get to work in an hour. In the meantime I want you to rest some before you go out and shop while I have Nicolas."

"Are you sure that you don't want to wait and shop together when he goes to see my parents this weekend?" I look up at him.

"Snowflake, you know I don't do well picking gifts unlike you. There is a few things I will buy online to help with shopping because what we want to get him can't be found in the stores around here."

I nod. "Sounds good. I want to check on Nicolas before I sit down for just a tad bit."

I walk or feels like waddle to his room. Nicolas is on the floor and placing ornaments in his tree. I grab my phone and he sees me as I take a picture.

I smile at him as Nicolas goes back to placing the glass balls on his tree.

Going back to the living room, I sit on the couch looking around me. Jack walks out of the kitchen and hands me a nice warm cup.

"You hadn't had any of your sugar fix for those cravings yet. So, a nice cup of hot chocolate for my snowflake."

"Hmm, thank you. Your always the sweetest." I smile and take a sip.

Jack laughs as he sits down next to me. "I learned real quick not to get in the way of your cravings for chocolate or sugar. Especially since you got a little helper in his room."

I laugh with Jack before drinking more of the drink he made for me. It seems like time passes quickly before Jack kisses me again and tells Nicolas it is time for them to go to the shop.

Jack helps me off the couch and I slip my shoes on to leave when they do. We walk out together and I get in my car while they jump in his truck. Nicolas waves and I wave back before pulling out of the drive.

Excitement flows through me along with a little energy boost from the hot chocolate. This woman is ready to start shopping and get things for everyone on my list.

It is crazy that in one year so many things have changed and all for the best. I am married to the love of my life, adopted my son and in a months time will have our little girl here. I cherish these precious moments and always look forward to what our future will hold.
