A few days has passed and now it is April third and my little mans birthday. Jack and I have been a little sneaky in buying gifts for him along with us planning a surprise birthday party.

The day after the park, Jewels and Tony both came over along with Massie and we got Jack's house packed up and moved over here easily because they didn't have many things at all. The most things there is what Nicolas has. I made a spot in the living room just for Jack to place his small shelf of memorable things with Isabel that he wants to keep out and not have in storage under the bed or in his closet.

"A little higher up Massie." Jewels instructs us.

Currently we are hanging up the birthday banner in the living room. Jack and Tony has taken Nicolas with them for man time. Which at this point scares me on what they will get into because Jack and Tony are just as much a kid themselves as Nicolas.

I finally got my results back from a little blood test I had ran over a week ago. Now it seems I have to stop my birth control pills because my hormones are all out of wack and I had been on the pill continually for to long. All to which Jack knows I had to stop taking awhile back and we have not been careful at all.

Jack wants more kids and I would love to have one also to give Nicolas a sibling. Maybe we should let nature just takes it course but being a doctor I want to be as healthy as I can be before we take that step also. See the internal battle of just let it be or get healthy, my eyes roll to myself and Jewels huffs having seen it.

"When will they be back?" Massie looks over to me.

"In about an hour or so. I think Jack said they were going to the park." I laugh.

"I am so happy for you Holly. It is falling perfect for all three of us ladies. You and I got out of schooling and got solid jobs now and got the guy then Jewels got a guy too." Massie starts to squeal, making us laugh.

"We just got to place these last few things around and it will be ready. Other than pulling the food out of the fridge." I rub my hands together and get off the step stool.

My phone rings and I pick it up to answer without looking to see who it is.

"Hello?" My voice comes out soft and happy.

"Hello Holly." Mom's voice comes back to me.

I stand up striaghter.

"It is good to hear from you Mom."

"How are you doing Holly?"

"I am doing really good Mom. I passed my boards and just recently got engaged. Jewels is with me today we are throwing a party for my son while his dad has him out of the house."

Mom is quiet for a moment before I hear her exhale.

"Holly are you sure this is the route you want to go?"

"Yes it is Mom. I thought you understood me better than Dad did at Christmas. This is something you have wanted is to by having a grandchild and you would love Nicolas."

"Sweetheart, I am happy for you it is just your Dad that has had the stick up his ass." Mom pauses when Dad yells he does not, making me roll my eyes.

"Sorry sweetheart, I moved to a different room. Anyways, your Dad got me pregnant with you before we married and it stopped one of the biggest things in his life by getting a job in a different state because he stayed with me, that is why he is acting this way."

"That is you guys Mom, not me. I am more than happy with my decisions and choices. I love Jack and Nicolas with everything I have and my job is amazing. Now, your more than welcome to come meet Jack and Nicolas both. He needs a grandmother, Mom please talk some sense into Dad."

"I will sweetheart. I love you too Holly, so much more than you would ever know. I know it doesn't always seem like it but I am on your side and been telling your Dad to knock it off. He puts to much pressure on you like your the one that can do what he couldn't." Mom speaks softer.

"I am happy where I am and please tell him that. I don't need some fancy job in a huge hospital. Everything is right here where Jewels and I work in the town I live in." I sigh.

"I would like to meet this young boy. Could I have the address when we get back home in the next few weeks. Nothing will keep me from my daughter, future son-in-law and grandchild. Not even some old goat that needs to let up and sit." Mom yells the last part.

Dad huffs loudly and I hold my laugh in because he will give into Mom, he always hated her mad.

"I love you Mom but I have to go to finish setting up the party." I look at the clock.

"I will be texting you more and calling sweetheart, plus you can give me all the details of your wedding. I hope you can forgive this old woman. Please send me pictures of all of you if they don't mind."

"I will Mom and please do text me more and call." I smile some, and hang up.

Jewels looks at me stunned. "I am glad Mom finally called you. I been telling her she needed too but Dad would throw a fit everytime."

"Thanks Jewels." I smile and give her a hug before we get to work on finishing up.

Jack, Nicolas and Tony walk in a few minutes after finish.

"Surprise little man!" I dash over to him to hug him close.

Massie just put out the last wrapped gifted on the table from everyone of us here.

"Thank you Mama, this is so cool." Nicolas looks to the balloons and little Scooby-Doo decorations I got online.

Nicolas and Tony take off with the girls to the living room. Jack wraps his arm around me.

"Are you okay?"

I nod. "Mom called, but I will explain after the party. She did wonder if I could send her pictures of the three of us to her and she wants to meet you both in a couple of weeks."

"Sure snowflake if you want to send them to her. She is your mother and your choice but if your still mad at them, take it from someone who lost his parents you really want them around and Nicolas would love to have grandparents."

Jack always seems to know the perfect things that I need to hear to stop the subconcious nagging that I always do to myself. I kiss his lips and we walk into the living room to enjoy the party with our son.
