I let out a small grunt when my butt hits the chair that Holly just pushed me into while she laughs and hands me my gift, that had been put off to the side while she opened hers.

For the first time I see Holly bounce up and down where she stands, while rubbing her hands together smiling at me.

I shred the top of the paper and the box catches my attention.

"No way." I mutter out, making Holly squeal.

"Yes way." She laughs.

I take the paper off and see it is the new camera lens I had tried to get several months ago but had been out of stock then with Nicolas being sick I just hadn't bothered trying to get it.

"This is something I have been wanting for a while." I finally breath out.

"I know." Holly is smirking when I look up to her.

"How?" I raise an eyebrow. I know Nicolas couldn't have told her because he didn't even know.

"Tony. I found your little place where you guys do the photography the night before I went shopping. Pretty common name for your shop by the way. I went in and seen Tony, so I spoke to him about it and told him to mums the word. Then they just so happened to have them while I was shopping." Holly stands proud of herself.

"This costed a fortune though." I sigh a little.

"And? I am sure with the stethoscope alone was a pretty penny since it came from the best medical shop online. Oh, yeah the names on the box and I know Jewels would have told you for you to have ordered from the best. Then the necklace is stunning and couldn't have been cheap." Holly sasses.

Nicolas holds his mouth to keep from laughing and I am right about there with him.

A knock on the door has me going over to open it and Tony stands with bags in his hands.

"Merry Christmas." We say together and laugh as I pat his back with him walking in the room.

"I brought food and glad I went with my gut feeling in getting extra." Tony laughs and hands out breakfast burrtios to us all.

"Thank you." Holly smiles and sits by Nicolas on the bed.

Tony turns to me and smirks, giving a wink. "All night?" He whispers.

I nod my head then sit on the couch and he joins me a moment later. We listen as Nicolas and Holly talk going over all his gifts while they eat.

Nicolas is so excited about everything he got today and I can't wait until we get home and he finds out there is even more for him. Sure, I went overboard this year on gifts but he deserves every single one of them. Once we get home and he is asleep the first night, I will pull them all out of my closet and spend a couple of hours wrapping them up myself. That way I can be involved in more than just ordering it all for him this year. Tony has a key to the house with all of this going on so that has made that part easy.

Tony and I talk over shop work and how it is a little slower because families are spending time together. We make more than enough to be easy off during the slow times. It will pick back up quickly after the holidays.

Another knock comes on the door and it is Jewels this time. She even hands Nicolas a little gift to open. Nicolas thanks her and digs in to find a large hardback book.

"It is a book I got at the bookstore once I heard you like being read too." Jewels smiles.

"Thank you." Holly and I tell her at the same time making us all laugh once again.

"Holly! Daddy look at this!" Nicolas holds the book up.

I read the title and smile. It is the complete works of all the fairy tales.

"I know a few of them you won't care for but there is more fairy tale stories for young boys that most people don't even know about." Jewels gives Nicolas a high five.

The nurse comes in to do vitals. Tony and Jewels stick around for a another few minutes before they both decide to leave for the day.

Holly reads some to Nicolas and we spend the rest of Christmas going through it together. We play and read more to Nicolas and by night time comes around he is wore out from not having a nap that he has been used to while still recovering from the cancer.

"I should be getting home since I have to be up early and make the drive with Massie over to a different town for the boards." Holly stands.

I pull her into my arms and kiss her lips.

"Be careful and I wish you as much luck as I can send. Even if you don't need it because you got this." I whisper in her ear.

"Thank you." Holly kisses me again.

"So I won't be in tomorrow it will be Dr. Marshall that comes in to do the check on Nicolas. The plan is to get another CT scan along with lab work. If those come back looking good, which I will see when I get back in the day after I will be releasing him." Holly softly talks and smiles at me.

"That is earlier than it has been said before."

"By a week yes. His numbers have come down so much and has done so much better, faster than we were thinking, which is so good Jack. During this last month he hasn't caught any infections either which is amazing so it will be a month in two days and depending on everything there won't be a reason to keep him admitted as a patient. Then he will just have to come back for visits to have tests ran to make sure he is staying level." Holly finishes.

There will be one reason to come back for. It is you Holly. I keep that thought to myself for now.

Holly's mind needs to be on her major test tomorrow. That is the only reason that is keeping me from spilling my guts here and now. Not to mention she could get in trouble if anyone was to hear me spilling my guts or us making plans to date after being discharged. I would rather go for the surprise factor anyway too, make it all the more sweet for my snowflake.
