After making sure, Jax had already fallen asleep

Herain hastily got out of his house and immediately rode a cab

"Umm sir if possible can we go faster?, I'm actually in a hurry right now" Herain stated as she was removing her disguise

"Okay Miss" the driver replied

Herain checked her phone and there was 30 missed calls from Rhaveir and 2 messages from Elayne saying

‘Why are you not answering his call?, I told him you were sleeping so you couldn't take it’

‘The president almost flew to my house, good thing Hayden manage to convince him to stay’

"I better think of something to appease him fast or else I won't be able to go out ever again" Herain mumbled under her breath

As Herain arrived at White Wisteria, she hastily walked inside

As soon as she entered, a deep voice immediately called out to her

"What took you so long?" he asked

Herain turned around and immediately knew who it was

Rhaveir was on the living room, sitting on the sofa with a cold look on his face

Herain immediately run to him, sat beside him and held his hand as she gently asked "Why are you still awake?"

"I was waiting for you" Rhaveir replied

‘It's already 10:30 and this guy is still waiting for me, even though he is already busy and might be tired at work’ she thought

Herain was deeply touched and felt guilty at the same time

Herain smiled and kissed his cheek then asked "Have you already eaten dinner?"

"Not yet, did you?" he asked

Herain placed her hands around Rhaveir's neck as she said "I miss my boyfriend so I didn't have the appetite to eat there"

Rhaveir's gaze soften as he said "I cooked something for dinner"

"Really?!, I want to try it" Herain cheerfully stated then ran to the kitchen

Thus, Herain and Rhaveir ate together and she was happy that he didn't inquired any further

After they were done eating, Rhaveir suddenly moved closer to her

"What did you do?" Rhaveir asked

Herain was nervous deep inside but she showed a smile to him as she said "I was just hanging out with Elayne, why?"

"You smell of alcohol and a man's scent" he replied

‘Why is he so sharp at times like this’ she thought

"Elayne drunk a lot of liquor and I was the one who put her to bed and about a man's scent I guess it was from the delivery man, he helped me carry Elayne to her bed" she stated

"I should go wash myself up first before going to bed" Herain added as she stood up from her seat and walked away

‘That was so natural, I can't believe I lied so effortlessly’ Herain thought to herself

After Herain took a bath, he entered Rhaveir's room where Rhaveir was at his desk doing his work

Herain walked to him acting adorable as she said "Will you dry my hair please"

Rhaveir nodded his head and Herain pulled him to the bed where Rhaveir started drying her hair

‘Who in the world would have guessed, that the richest man in this country would be drying my hair’ she thought

After he was done, he laid on the bed then pulled Herain close making her lie down on his chest

"Let's go to sleep" he stated as he wrapped her in his arms

"Darling, are you mad at me?" Herain asked

Hearing no response from Rhaveir, Herain looked up to him with sadness

"I'm sorry I didn't return early, I should have welcomed you with embrace as soon as you returned and my phone was silent so I didn't knew you called" she uttered in a soft voice

Rhaveir always return at White Wisteria before or exactly 9 o'clock to be with Herain despite being so busy

She on the other hand, returned so late while he even cooked and waited for her so that they could still eat dinner together

"I'm sorry" Herain pouted

Rhaveir smiled and place a kiss on her forehead as he said "As long as you return then I won't mind waiting for a long time"

Herain smiled and hugged him as she said "I love you the most"

On the other hand, when Harold arrived at their home his mother immediately approached them full of worry in her eyes

"What happened?, what happened to your hand?!" his mother asked as she held his hand

"The young master has drunk a lot madam" the chauffeur informed

"You can now go, I'll take care of him" his mother replied

His mother assist him to his room as she helped Harold lay on his bed

"Shouldn't you already stop this behavior, that girl doesn't want you" his mother reprimanded

His mother reached out to the handkerchief that was wrapped on his hand and Harold was quick to pull his arm

"Don't touch it, she gave it to me" Harold stated in a loud voice

"This is my only proof that it was all real" he added as he tightly clutch the handkerchief in his hands and fell asleep

With a heavy sigh, his mother uttered "When will you ever forget that girl?"

She stared at his son's handsome face as she said "I regretted ever being acquainted with the Vergara"

His mother had first notice his son having feelings for Herain Vergara when he was just 7 years old and she was 5 years old

Harold's mother POV

The Franchester and Vergara had long been partners in business and friends

He was a very self centered child so he wouldn't know if he ever hurt someone without them telling him

However no one dares to tell a small child who came from a rich family that they were wrong even those who are also rich they would just shrugged it off as a child being a child

But that girl dares to reprimand him in front of everyone telling him that what he did was bad and should apologize

Of course my son didn't yield and they became enemies afterwards but when my son got sick that girl came in our house from time to time to visit him

That was when I learned that he was doing it on purpose, I called for the doctor again since he said that he was still sick and it had already been 2 weeks

That was the longest time he was sick which made me very worried but the doctor said he was already completely healed after his last visit

I was about to asked him why he lied but then as I was about to enter his room, I witnessed the brightest smile my son ever had in my lifetime as she gaze at that girl

I kept quiet about it for 3 months and the little girl would visit him 4 times in a week just to check up on him

But days later, she suddenly stopped and never showed up

3 months after her last visit, I learned that both of her parents died in an accident and days after that she fainted from shock and was in a coma

I tried to hide it from him and keep him away but as he begged to go to her house, I cannot stand it anymore

It was the first time in my life that I heard my own son begging me desperately thus I told him the truth

We visited the Vergara Mansion but she was not there, no one knows what hospital she was in and her grandfather had kept it secret from everyone

Days passed and when news got out that she was back, my son was ecstatic to meet her again and immediately went straight there

I didn't know what happened but my son suddenly came back annoyed

However it went on for years, my son would still kept visiting her and sometimes when I see them both they always end up bickering each other

It was the same even before but after she came back it got even worse but even so I can still see the like my son has for that girl

One day when I went to Vergara Mansion to bring him back to home, that was when I learned the very reason they end up annoying each other

"Why does Herain have to chased you around?!, why are you hanging out with her?!" the young Harold stated with annoyance

"Maybe he can't stand the sight of you that's why she always sticks next to me" the young man replied

Hearing this, Harold was fuming mad and drove by his anger he pushed the man with all his force and the young man fell down on the ground

Coincidentally, the little girl witnessed it and immediately ran to the young man who fell

"Are you alright?" the little girl asked full of worry and adoration in her eyes

She faced Harold and gave him a smack on his head

"How dare you push him!, didn't I told you to get away from him?!" she stated with anger burning in her eyes

It was the first time I had seen that little girl so angry to that extent and it was pointed to him

Harold just scoffed and left and I immediately followed him

I caught him crying hidden in a corner and my heart broke

After that day, I arranged for Harold to study abroad so that he will be away from that girl

After all, nothing good will come out from loving someone who already has someone else in their heart

I forced him to go there even if he was crying and begging at me to stay

Even if it meant me becoming an evil woman, then I will do it as long as I don't have to witnessed that kind of scene ever again

After he finished his study, I made sure to let him remain there not until he introduced a girlfriend or fiancee to the family

When he told me, that he already has a girlfriend and wanted to meet us

I was overjoyed and finally agreed in returning home

However a day after he arrived, he suddenly and totally out of the blue broke up with his girlfriend

Finally knowing that I was completely fooled, I tried to stop him from going there but in the end I lose to his act of looking pitifully and accompanied him in going at the Veragara Mansion

When we arrived, I didn't know if it was a blessing or a curse but that girl was no longer there

"That girl was already kicked out in the family, she's basically homeless" a younger woman scoffed

"It would be a miracle if she survive in the streets, she would either end up dead or became a prostitute" an older woman added

After hearing this, I have never ever seen my own son that mad to the point of trembling so much as he suppressed the urge to go on a rampage

After we got out of that mansion, he became frantic and focused on looking for her in every part of the country

Every nook and corner was searched for her, he spent a lot of sleepless nights and he began to put his self to sleep by drinking a lot of liquor

Whenever I peeked into his room, I would either found him crying or just staring into space like a dead person

After witnessing him getting depressed more and more as days passed, I began to regret what I did

Maybe what I did was not the best choice I decided

Witnessing my son crumbling into pieces and falling into darkness day by day with my very own eyes, I cannot stand it anymore
