《Best Friends Brother》1

How it started?
_________________________________________
I wake up to my alarm going off. I turn it off and get dressed for my last day of summer before school. My friends and I are going to the mall and the movies today. My phone rings and I pick it up to see it's my best friend Piper texting in the group chat with all of my friends.

The Mad Chatters:
Piper: ready for the last day of summer!
Hayden: No. We have to go back to school tomorrow.
Piper: My mom and I are picking Sophie up in an hour
Sophie: okay
Piper: we will pick everyone else up after.
End of text messages

I straighten my hair and wear a crop top with ripped Jean's and my doc martens (idk if I spelt that right). I apply some light makeup and then walk downstairs to meet my mom who is making breakfast. She hands me a plate that has waffles on it. I eat my breakfast and then brush my teeth. I then wait for Piper and her mom to show up. When they're car pulls up I say goodbye to my mom and head to their car. I sit next to Piper in the back of the car. "Why did you pick me up so early and why are you sitting in the back of the car?" I ask knowing that she rarely ever wakes up this early in summer or sits in the back row of her moms car. "We have to pick my brother up from the airport really quickly, he starts school with us tomorrow" she says. "Cool" I reply. I don't remember much about her brother. That's a lie. We used to be close. Anytime he came to visit we were really close. I haven't seen him since we were 11 years old. I've talked to him over the phone with Piper, but I haven't seen him in 2 years. Piper's mom backs out of my driveway and heads to the airport. When we arrive there, a boy with brown hair and alot of freckles walks up to the car. Piper runs out and gives him a hug. Jentzen looks different then I remeber him. He looks kind of cute. No. I can't think that. He's my best friends brother. I'm brought out of my thoughts when Jentzen says "hi Sophie" "hi Jentzen" I reply and he gives me a quick hug. I felt butterflies flutter around in my stomach. No. I don't like Jentzen. There is no way. I can't like Jentzen. It's not happening. It can't happen. I do not like Jentzen Ramirez like that. Why would I?

A-Live AI
The year is 2247. For almost two hundred years Sentient AI research has been banned. Everyone knew this, and yet no one has ever given up on finding the perfect setup for it. Restricted AI are rare, but possible to get ahold of if you have the money and the clout to get through the law for it. Especially when it deals with the military. Alfred Homis is an engineer and has spent the last three years working for the United Terran Military's Research and Exploration Department. Specifically to help build a 'shackled' AI who's prime directive was to explore potentially habitable worlds. Worlds that are far cheaper to colonize and add to the United Terran Directorate's fold than terraforming. During the AI's maiden voyage things go horribly wrong, taking Alfred Homis along for the ride. Thrown into a parallel universe where the laws of physics are just a little messed up, Alfred finds himself trapped inside the very machine he'd helped to build. Add magic, hostile fantasy creatures, and two different pantheons of 'Gods' to the mix and things get even more complicated. Oh, and an invasion between universes to boot. But that's just all in a days work though for Alfred, the AI Lord. Authors Note: Hi guys! Long time no see. And yes, I know that's all on me. But I blame life for that. Anyway, this is my new work, and I hope you guys enjoy it! The chapters are a little shorter than I'd previously posted in my other stories, but I cannot say that I have the same amount of time or energy to write them like that anymore. Sorry about that. Still, some warnings: There is cursing in this story. I am not going to edit it out. There will be sexual content later. Blood, gore and cruel depictions are all planned. If that isn't your thing, I'd suggest you turn back now. There is also my dry, and often not-so-funny sense of humor. And oh, it's all in first person gain. Haha. I just tend to write better that way. If none of that bothers you, then enjoy the read! Feel free to comment, point out mistakes, or make suggestions! Reviews are nice too, but please lay off the criticism until the story gets good and going. Thank you. Note 1: Some edits to the synopsis.
