《My Morphine [Wade Wilson]》[6]

A day later, I found myself sittin in the jet, on our way to yet another secret, foreign land. Wade was sitting next to me, James across from me, Victor next to him and on his other side Sat Fred. Chris sat towards the front of the jet, and Johnny beside him. Stryker came along this time. Wade started talking about his swords, Victor had a snide remark, which caused a little bickering between everyone. The...Wade pointed out fred's new tattoo. . .wow.
Anyway we ended up at some strange compound, surrounded by nothing but forest. Zero went first, He cleared the main perimeter, then Stryker sent Fred to stop the tank. He shoved his fist into the main barrel and the tank imploded. I walked back and gave him a pat on his shoulder and smile. I was rather impressed, I had saw Fred fight before, but wow. I was speechless. Inside the building, we decided to take the elevator...not the stealthiest approach, so they shut the power to the elevators down, Chris took us the rest of the way.
Wade started mouthing off to Stryker, who told him to shut up, and that he was up next. I felt my body tence up. The elevator doors opened and he stepped out, immediately swinging his swords. I went to move in behind him, but james grabbed me around the waist and pulled me against him. "Don't. You'll be shot, and you'll distract him." He said. I could hear the sounds of bullets hitting metal, Wade wasn't screaming, but I still wanted to look.
Finally it got silent, I was about to flip when I heard Wade's voice. "Ok," he called. "people are dead." I ran out and instantly he put his arms around me. God, his body was glistening with sweat, his muscles were bulging from the work out he just got, he was gorgeous. I wanted him now more than ever. I thought running my hands over his chest. "easy baby." he said kissing me, "I'll give you a ride later." He said winking.
A shot rang out, my shoulder shattered, I screamed as it started to heal. Johnny appeared beside the guy and took the gun from his hands. There was only one man alive, sitting at the desk in the back of the room. Wade held me tighter, my body shivered as it finished healing. I missed Stryker's conversation, something about adamantium, and a meteor or something. Anyway, he had Zero kill the guy, and we continued to a small village in the jungle.
It took a while but we gathered all of the villages residents and got them on their knees. I was confused as to what we were doing. I stood next to James and whispered back and forth while Stryker and wade talked to the village leader. "We're searching for a valuable metal of some kind, Stryker was using it in his research, its supposed to be invincable or something." He informed me. "The man in the office said he found it somewhere in the village while he was traveling. As far as I know, thats all we know right now." We turned our attention back to what was happening.
"he says..." Wade paused for a moment to listen to the man speaking in his native language. "It came from the sky?" He said shrugging. Stryker gave him a look and Wade kind of smiled. He looked to me and gave me a wink, I felt uncomfortable though...and I knew what was coming...and although its my job, it didn't feel right.

"Kill them." Stryker said walking away.
"Wait!" I yelled. Wade stopped and looked at me, Victor and Zero seemed to be wearing the same smile that wade had a moment ago. "This doesn't feel right Stryker!" I yelled after him,
"They're telling the truth!" James yelled after me. "They don't have to die." He said sternly. They all ignored us. "Victor! Don't!" He yelled.
It seemed like it was a dream, happening in slow motion. Victor, Zero, Johnny, Fred, Chris...Wade... they were killing everyone. I almost fell to my knees, I felt a strong sickness coming over me. James through his gun aside, ripped the dog tags from his neck, grabbed me, and taking me up in his arms, ran back to the Jet.
He sat me down in one of the seats and started to walk away, I grabbed his hand, still finding it hard to breath, I kept seeing the look on Wade's face, he enjoyed it! "Blyss..." james' voice finally came through. "Stay here, " He said. "I have to get the hell away from this, I'm not killing innocent people anymore!" He yelled. I still couldn't drown out the screams of those people, the women, the children... "When they come back, say nothing. Just go back to the compoud and get the hell away from Stryker and everything he does" He said in that fatherly tone he always talks to me with.
"But..." I was falling over my words. "I..wanna go with..you..." I took a deep, shakey breath. "They ki...killed..d..those pe..people!" I Sobbed. He nodded, hugged my tightly, kissed my head and whispered something to me. As if in a blink, He ran out, just full on into the jungle. I scooted down to my knees and into the back corner of the jet. I put my head down on my knees and cried there for a while. I wasn't sure how long it was before I heard faint, voice outside, I heard....Victor laughing?! I was sickened at the thought of going anywhere with him, or any of the others again...I had to stomache it though.
I felt someone's hand on my shoulder, I looked up through a teary eyed glare, Wade. He was looking at me very concerned, I just looked away from him. He said something, but I didn't hear him, He lifted me up, and cradled me in his lap. I'm sure the others were talking, asking me if I knew where James was, but it was like I was stricken deaf. I just replayed the moments of the last hour over in my head, I couldn't hear any of them. I couldn't even look at them without seeing what they did to those poor, innocent people. And Wade..."Wade..." I looked up to his eyes, my eyes still soaked with running make up and tears. He wiped my cheeks clean and kissed my forhead. I could feel his lips moving against my ear softly, I didn't hear him. "How could you?!" I wanted to scream, to push him away and burn this whole jet in the skies, and everyone inside it. I couldn't move. Body feels cold. I was finally able to make out words. "I think shes in shock." It was Chris. Not in shock. Angry. Numb though. Hard to breath. Hard to move. Feel sick. Blood boiling. Body unable to react. Heart...broken?
The ride seemed to last years, I could hear them again, but they seldomly talked. I heard Victor call James a coward, Zero laughed."You make me sick." I thought as he spoke. Chris was silent, as was Fred and John. Wade spoke only to Stryker when he asked if "the baby had stopped crying yet." I could have melted his skin right off of his bones where he sat. Wade just held me tighter.

The jet landed, Wade by passed everyone, carrying me gently to my room. He laid me down in my bed and lit a cigarette, handing it to me. I sat up, running a shakey hand through my hair, and took a long drag. "Are you alright?" He asked running his fingers over my arms.I scooted away from his touch, I put my back against my head bored and smoked my cigarette. "You're still frightened?" He asked. "Look, I told you. Its nothing to ashamed of, I took care of it for you. It takes time..."
"IT TAKES TIME?!" I screamed. The flame from my cigarette jumped towards him. He dodged and got off my bed. I felt like my blood was going to explode my my veins. My hands enveloped in flame, the carpet beneath my feet started to singe.
"Baby!" He yelled backing up slowly. "Calm down!" He yelled in defence.
"CALM DOWN?!" I yelled back. I could feel my eyes burning with this new found rage. "I just watched you," I through a ball of fire towards him, he ducked and it hit the wall behind him. "Murder an entire tribe of innocent people!" I yelled. He began stomping the flames out with his boots. "how could you?!" I yelled reaching out for him. he moved away.
"Stop the fire." he said sternly. He laid his hands on one of his swords.
"Oh!" I yelled with a demented laugh. "You're gonna pull one of me too?!" I screamed. I through another ball of flame at him, he dodged and drew up his katana, slicing my cheek. I stopped for a moment as a drop of blood ran down my face, the cut healed and I glared at him.
He backed up in defence. "Blyss," He began. "Now, you forced me to do that." He tried reasoning.
"You haven't seen force yet...baby." I said, flames grew around my eyes as they faded white, the flames on my hands went full on. This was about to be an all out fight.
~With Chris, Fred and Johnny in the common area downstairs~
A few loud crashes came from Blyss' room upstairs. The guys, minus Zero and Victor stayed silent for a while. Chris tried to put his nose in his paper while he sat on the sofa. He wanted to say something, but he also was conflicted with what had just happened in the jungle hours ago.
"I think we may lose her too." Fred said sadly.
Johnny sighed. "Well what are we supposed to do?" He asked no one in paticular. "Its not like we can justify what we did. Wade tried, and hes about to be well done." He said putting his head down.
Chris was becoming worried. "maybe someone should check on them." He suggested. They all looked at eachother, wondering who would be the brave soul to interupt a fight like that. Loud crashes became more frequent. "I think they're actually fighting." He said glancing toward the cieling.
Fred looked up too. "I'm leaving if she starts burning this place down." He said. Johnny nodded and just then, a loud smash came from the hallway. She had kicked the door in. "James did a good job with her strength training." Johnyn and Chris nodded as she came walking through the living room, no flame, no glances around. She had a dufflebag slung over her arm. Wade was following, his clothes were singed and burned, he had cuts and burns on his arms and body.
Chris stood up. "Blyss?!" He yelled. She stopped. Didn't turn around, but stopped. "Where are you gonna go?" He asked. "Stryker won't let you go." He said grimly. "he already has Victor searching for James."
She huffed. "Let him try to find me." She said. "I'll burn his world down around him, and I'll hit him where it hurts." She said looking around the compoud. "Don't let that..." she paused. "that MONSTER! Keep you here." She turned around, her tears seemed to evaporate as soon as they touched her skin. "If you want to leave, then leave. We're MUTANTS!" She screamed. "Whats he going to do to us?!" And with that she ran out.
Everyone in the room looked to Wade. He sighed and plopped down on the sofa. "Well?" Johnny asked looking over at him.
"Well what?!" He yelled standing back up. "What the hell do you all want from me?! God!" He yelled.
"You're fucking idiot!" Chris yelled. Everyone looked over at him surprised at his outburst. "She LOVES you Wade! why else would she put up with you?!" He continued. Wade looked away from him. "If you don't go after her, I will." He said. Wade looked up to Chris, he seemed determined, He looked to fred and Johnny who only nodded.
"So we're leaving then?" he asked sighing. Everyone exchanged looks, "well go catch her before she leaves." He said waving us off. "I don't think she'll let me ride along." The guys shared a reluctant glance, and all ran out to catch Blyss. Johnny patted Wade's shoulder.
"It was an honor working with you Wade, but your a dumbass if you don't go after her." He said and then left.
Wade sat there alone for a long time, everyone else had long been gone now. He sighed putting on his leather jacket, it still smelled of Blyss' perfume, strapped his katana's over his jacket, and walked outside to the garage. James' motorcycle had still be sitting there. "well" He sighed. "I don't think he'll mind." He said turning it on. It roared to life instantly and he took off into the night.
While he was driving, he saw her again in his head. She was asleep on his arm, he brushed his fingers over his lips softly, then kissed her head, lingered and laid back. It was like perfection, her sleeping form. She seemed at peace, happy...in love...like he was. So, so in love. He smiled while he was driving, a tear came to his eye, he shook his head trying to concentrate on the road. A flash of her, while they were training. He took it easy on her, he didn't want to actually hurt her. A flash, the argument in her bedroom, he made her bleed, cut her several times, trying to hurt her. He began kicking himself mentally.
"Where would she go?" he asked himself. Even if he did want to go after her...he didn't know the first place to look...He sighed "what now?" he thought to himself...

8 87The Fall of The Gods
Synopsis: In the year 1966, an army of Orishas led by Sango stormed Amadioha’s palace and razed it the ground, starting a decades-long war between two of Nigeria’s most powerful divine orders. Blinded by the rage of battle, the gods did not detect the rise of a third power, far greater and deadlier than anything they could have imagined. When gods, on both the Yoruba and Igbo sides, begin falling mysteriously to their death, Sango seeks the help of Odion, a Lagos teenager destined to rise from his dark past to become a hero. But can a human hero save the gods from a doomed fate? The Fall of the Gods is an action-packed YA fantasy based on the mythical bond that ties human life with the realm of the divine. It demonstrates the power of stories to change our lives. It also reminds us that Sango and Amadioha are not relics of the past and that, sometimes, what it means to be a hero in today’s world is knowing how to find inspiration in the stories of the gods. PLEASE NOTE: Weekly chapters will be released every friday along with interludes once in a while about Nigerian mythology. I'm a young 17 year old writer and I am new to the site so I will appreciate your comments and reviews. Thank you very much.
8 196Faeos Book One: The Stuff of Legends
A ragtag assemblage of adventurers, scraped together by seeming circumstance, investigate the theft of an ecologically essential artifact. In so doing, they find themselves embroiled (as adventurers so often do) in the larger machinations of a mischevious gnome, a determined mage or three, and a dire threat to their homes. Based on a homebrew Pathfinder campaign begun several years ago, and still running. Faeos is one part combat, one part character building, and one part entirely justified silliness. Blame any lead character weirdnesses on my players, whom I love. Blame everything else on me. Oh, and yes, this should also be tagged "Unreliable Narrator."
