Lila
"Can we take a break? I'm so tired." I said and I sat on the nearest bench.
"You want ice cream? My treat!" He said and I nodded. He left and bought ice cream.
"What's your favorite flavor? Strawberry or Chocolate?" He asked. I pointed to the chocolate and he gave it to me.
"Priki, you won't leave me right?" I said out of nowhere.
"Why do you ask?"
"Because everyone is always leaving me behind." I said.
"Come on, Lila. I won't leave you. I promise." He raises his right hand.
"Whatever happens, I won't leave your side." He smiles brightly.
I am here in our favorite place. The park. I am waiting for Priki. He promised that we will play. But hours passed, he didn't come.
Days, weeks, months, years passed... I never saw him again. He left me, all alone. He broke his own promise. He didn't even say goodbye to me.
15 years later.
I am in the park. This was my favorite place when I was a kid. This is a good and bad memory of him. I will never forget that day when he left me.
"Lila! Are you even listening?" Dongpyo asked.
"Sorry. I was preoccupied. I just remember something here."
"Oh, is that your childhood best friend who left you behind?"
"Shh... stop that Dongpyo. You're being talkative again." Junho said.
"Oops... Sorry Noona."
"It's okay." I said.
"Noona, can I ask?" Hyeongjun said.
"What is it?"
"What was your feeling when he left you?"
"I feel betrayed, sad, angry and hopeless. He promised that he would never leave me. But what happened? He left without saying goodbye." Tears began falling into my cheeks.

"I'm so sorry Noona!" Hyeongjun said and he hugged me. I heard his sobs. Even Dongpyo is crying.
"W-wait, why are you two crying?"
"Your childhood story was sad. We can't help but to cry."
"Come on, let's just go home." Junho said.
For some reason, I'm still hoping that I will see him again. Even if it is three over one-hundred percent. I want to know why he left. I want to know why he broke his own promise. I want to know everything...
The sky was turning red. I remember, Priki loves red. I'm sure he would love seeing this.
I heard someone singing. The voice is kinda familiar.
🎶To be young and in love in new york city
To not know who i am but still know
I'm good long as you're here🎶
I froze on my seat. Don't tell me...
"Nah, I don't think so." Well, I don't know his face anymore. Even his name. All I remember is that he has a mole on his right chin. That's all.
"Eunsang! I've been looking for you!" A girl shouted. "I almost searched the whole park yet you are here. Sitting on your favorite bench."
"Sorry Nina. This was her favorite seat back then."
"You really miss her, right?"
"Yes. And I felt sorry for her. I shouldn't have left her."
"I'm sure she will understand why you left. You know, everything has a reason."
"I wish I could meet her again." He said and they left.
Is he my childhood friend? Is he Priki? But it's impossible. Priki is different from this man with red hair. Maybe it is just a coincidence.
"Noona! There you are. I know you're in here so I'll go in here." Hyeongjun said.

"What are you doing here? It's almost night you know."
"Sorry Noona. But Appa is looking for you. Come on! Let's go." He said.
"Appa! We're here!" Hyeongjun said.
"Hello Lila. Where have you been? You have a visitor." Appa said.
"A visitor? Is it Junho?" I asked.
"Nope. An Old friend came to visit." Old friend? Huh..
"Hello Lila, nice meeting you again." A lady said and he hugged me. Weird. Who the hell is this lady? Are we even close?
"Lila, Eunsang is here. Your childhood friend is back..." Appa said.
"Sorry but I don't have a friend named Eunsang. You must be in the wrong house or in the wrong person."
"Lila, you don't remember me? I am Priki." He said.
"Why did you come back?"

Lone: The Wanderer [Dropped Version (includes original draft of the rewrite's first volume)]
Nine-to-five. The daily grind. Life. Painful years of school. Working as a slave for some undeserving corporate big-wig. The monotonous life of unemployment. We all experience this in one way or another, and we can all conclude one thing: it's dull. Such a fact rings true even for the fabled Lone Immortus, a powerful nine-tailed Golden Foxkin. However, what would you do if your monotony was suddenly ground to a halt and you were thrown out of your comfort zone along with a young girl forgotten by time? Perhaps you might have done things differently, been more organised, immediately died, gained control of the world in a matter of days, but this is Lone's tale, not yours. Watching two insecure people struggle to survive and find their place in an unfamiliar land just might be enjoyable to witness. Who knows? One thing's for certain: it won't be an easy path for them to tread, and what could possibly be more entertaining than watching people endure hardships and grow? I know of at least eight gods that would answer with, 'Absolutely nothing.' I wonder, after seeing this journey from start to finish, how would you answer? [Goal of 2 chapters per week, the only exceptions being announced breaks or emergencies] A/N: This story is in the middle of a rewrite, so please forgive any noticeable plot holes and wonky chapter numbers. I am working on it every day, so understanding would be greatly appreciated. The new cover art is a courtesy of the very kind and talented ssddx. This novel is a participant in The Writer's Pledge
