"The fool." A deep voice echoed through the clearing full of hourglasses, each shedding a beautiful golden light. "Let him run free. After all... without his guidance, the child is left unhindered... for now." If you had heard the voice, you could practically hear the menace in it. 

There was silence. "I do wonder, however. He IS the child's other half. Taken over the body, and left the child locked in their own brain. His intentions are unknown at this point." A pregnant pause filled the clearing, along with various murmurs. "Hm... I see. Of course. He is protective of his other half, but only for the reasons of... are we the...? I should think so... we are... to..." The voice got softer and softer, as it seemed to veer further and further away. 

And just like that, a bright light shone inside one of the hourglasses in the middle of the clearing as it turned, golden sand starting to fall gently down the hole.
