The Memory stuck in his head. The last one. Gone. "You failed, Ross." the dark, sinister voice crept throughout his head, keeping him awake, even if the Red Sun didn't. "You failed to capture Sky. Now you'll lose all of your friends, Ross. ALL OF THEM."
"No... no, please... stop it..." He whimpered, gripping his head like it was the last thing keeping him sane. He had let Sky go. He had let the last link go.
"You had one job to do... now, he will get you. He will make you pay."
"Stop it..."
"Do you want to let him out again?"
"Stop..."
"Let your anger grow..."
"Never..."
"Do you really think he will let you go? Do you really think he will let YOU go?"
"GET AWAY FROM HIM!"
"You're weak."
"I said, GET AWAY FROM HIM."
"I am merely a servant, you insolent child. Perhaps... there is a way..."

A Broken World [Rewrite]
In a world of floating islands of stone in the sky, where rivers flow through the air and defy gravity from one island to another, and ancient ruins can be found containing wonders beyond what can be produced by the lands current inhabitants- a millenia long war rages. With the demon's forbidden knowledge, in the heart of Uri a new ritual was made. Called, "The Millenial Summoning," the ritual had the power to call a being from another world that would have the power to change the world forever. The first being summoned became known as "The Speaker," and he brought the power of the Gods to the world. With the blessings and power of the new priests, the unstoppable demon hordes were finally halted. A thousand years later, the ritual was used again and "The First Sorceress" was brought to the world. She brought the knowledge of advanced magics, and techniques to find and refine magical talent. With the magic power now added to the battlefield, the stalemate was broken. And for the first time, the demons were pushed back. Another thousand years later, and all of humanites hope for a final victory were dashed. Traitors slew the ritual's participants and took their places, and humanity quaked as The Demon King stepped into the world. His name, his nature, where he came from none of these are known, but what is known is his overwhelming power and his brilliant strategic leadership of the formerly formless hordes. Still, despite their position being even more dire than it has ever been since history has been recorded, humanity held on for another thousand years. Aided, thankfully, by The Demon King not taking the field after the first few years and battles. Now, the ritual is being cast again and a new hero is being summoned. In our world, after nearly three decades of study and hard work, Lucas Jaeger is making his dreams come true. With a double doctorate in both genetics and microbiology, as well as an associates degree in accounting, he has finally, after nearly driving himself mad from stress and sick from overwork, been able to put to together a presentation and ask for a business loan. His long time dream, earned by his own blood and sweat, to start his own commercial genetic company is finally coming to fruition. Lucas's car never left the banks parking lot and Lucas was never seen again in our world. This is a rewrite of "A Broken World." It is basically the same story, just a thousand times better and with decent length chapters!

When Jethen was captured by slavers, his childhood was torn from him and left shattered half a world away. When he finds himself back home decades later, by methods he does not fully understand, he finds that the life he has lived has changed him far more than he knew. In a home he no longer knows. Places and people at the same time familiar and foreign, he must decide - stay and help with his parent's business, or return to the land that remade him and the family he made there. --------- Homecoming started as just a short story to break an episode of writers block. It has since morphed well beyond that into a novel in it's own right, and may well end up with a sequel. The writing of Homecoming became a bit of a self induced challenge to improve my initial, first brush, writing quality. Each chapter was written raw, given a once over read and edit, and then posted. In this way I am forcing myself to write better from the start. I do hope you enjoy the story and will leave a comment or review, and if you see an issue, feel free to let me know as well. I know it is not nearly perfect, and it will get a full and proper edit once I am done. Never hurts to fix things along the way though. As an additional note. The story has undergone a structural rework and has been reposted in an updated structure and sequence of chapters. If you have read this story already, I invite you to do so again in this new structure.

Follow the continuing adventures of the group of unlikely adventurers in their quest to prepare against the impending invasion of the Trikelians. It follows the adventures of two different group of heroes: The first, a trio of Sel, Kilkaja, and Astha, continuing their story in search of the missing commander of the Saukari and Astha's twin brother, Sethis. Along the way, Sel and Kilkaja became even closer as they understood the plight of each other's races. The second story focused on the bizarre and extraordinary adventures of George Atmell, the human of Earth, and Domel Arcturus, the Vyrnian out of time, as they slowly find out about their enemies and the danger they posed to the whole galaxy. Along the way, they met the unlikeliest of allies that was beyond their understanding and was drawn to this Dragon of Ossogoth's plans against their Trikelians adversaries. Follow on as stories are updated and lore expanded that will either continue or explain the mystery of the Sealed Planet of Vyrn, and possibly also expand on the fantasy-themed world called Earth. The stories are written in the perspective of the characters as named on the start of the chapter. It will be told in parts, with each story being standalone in plot, but related to one another by setting and character.
