The sun was setting and the sky had turned different shades of purple and pink. Leila watched from her window as the sun set till it was completely dark.

Dinner was earlier than usual and she ate in her room this time around. Nikolai and Samantha had already taken their leave.

She was very tired of staying in her room all the time so she snuck out of her room to find a way she could go outside.

After going through a "maze" called a home, Leila found two large French doors right in front of her. She was curious to know where is led to so she opened it. Immediately, her skin was met with the cold chilly air outside. The door led to the backyard which was a large garden with a few benches outside.

She slid of her shoes and walked barefoot on the grass towards one of the benches. The stars were twinkling and the moon shone brightly and suddenly she wish she had her telescope.

A long sigh escaped her lips.

A sigh that showed she was annoyed.

She got up and straightened out her flay purple dress as patted her brown her down which was being blown by the wind.

Now that she knew where the door led to, she decided she would come here often.

While walking to her room, she wasn't paying attention and was thinking about God knows what when she bumped into something... Or rather.... Someone. Her amber eyes slowly travelled up until she met those stark blue eyes.

Even though Leila was very tall for a lady, she still felt little standing in front of the 6'4 figure. His eyebrows were quirked up in a curious way which made her feel nervous so she immediately looked down to his chest.

"Any problem?" he asked her as he folded his muscular arms against his broad chest. His sleeves were rolled up allowing some of his tattoos to peek through and gone knows how much she wanted to trace them.

"Nothing. I was just heading to my room." she mumbled

"This is the way to my room, unless you are confused." he stated

She mentally face palmed herself. What was she thinking of?!

"Well you're aren't used to the house so I can't blame you. Do you need help finding your way back?" how asked in a less intimidating tone.

"No thanks. I was just occupied with my thoughts." she mumbled and walked past him.

He simply shrugged and continued walking.

When Leila got back to her room, she let out a breathe she didn't know she was holding and staggered to her bed. She jumped into her bed and cuddled with the sheets. All of a sudden, she heard a vibration and she snapped her head towards the sound. It was her phone. A phone she barely used.

She picked it up and saw it was a message from Killian. A huge smile plastered her face as she began speaking to her brother.

He even called which made her very happy as well as home sick.

It was really late when she decided to sleep. Not that she wanted to.

She closed her eyes and waited for the darkness to engulf her.
