《Child Of Infinity (Malereader X HunterHunter) [COMPLETED]》Chimera Ants

masterpiece of a story.
Megumi: "Shizuku? What's wrong?" Megumi asked concerned.
Shizuku: "It's... It's Y/n..." Shizuku said.
Yuji: "What about Y/n? Did something happen to him?" Yuji asked.
Shizuku: "I don't know how to word it... But, He isn't Y/n anymore." Shizuku answered.
Megumi: "What do you mean?" Megumi asked confused.
Shizuku: "He's alive, thankfully. But... It's like he's been taken over or something." Shizuku said.
Nobara: "Okay... So, I have 2 Theories." Nobara started, making everyone urn toward her.
Nobara: "Number 1: According to Shizuku, Y/n is alive, but not himself. So that could either mean that he's under some kind of hypnosis, OR he's been taken over by an enemy, and that enemy is using his body for who knows what." Nobara said.
Megumi: "Honestly, I don't think that's the case. Y/n is smart enough to not fall for Hypnosis. And Infinity will stop anyone from trying to take him over, that's if they need to touch him, but still." Megumi retorted.
Nobara: "Agreed. And Number 2: This may seem a bit unrealistic, but it could still be an option." Nobara started.
Megumi: "And what would that be?" Megumi asked.
Nobara: "" Nobara said.
Yuji: "Yeahhhh... That is unrealistic." Yuji said, not believing her.
Nobara: "But it could still be possible! Either Y/n somehow became a Cursed Spirit, or he became something else." Nobara said.
Megumi: "As dumb as that sounds, That's more likely to happen than someone hypnotizing him or taking over his body." Megumi said.
Shizuku: "It doesn't matter." Shizuku started, getting their attention.
Shizuku: "He could've been taken over, turned into a cursed spirit, Hell, he could even be the person who caused that Surge of cursed energy. But it doesn't matter." Shizuku said.
Shizuku: "I'm gonna get Y/n back. And whoever did this, " Shizuku said with resolve.
-Cut to Hunter Association-
We currently see Netero's extermination team with Colt. With Netero currently on the Phone.
Netero: "It's me. Send over a team of Chimera Ant Research Team immediately!" Netero said over the phone.
Netero: "Yes, the king had been born. Contact Dr. Lee, of the Fanlin Medical College, and have her assemble a team of the best surgeons and artificial organ specialists." Netero said as he hung up.
Netero: "We'll leave in four hours." Netero said.
K/M: "Yes, sir." Knov snd Morel said.

Then, Netero cut off a bit of his hair.
Netero: "We will do everything we can." Netero said.
Netero: "Colt..." Netero said as Colt entered the room.
Netero: "We'll need your help too." Netero said as Colt nodded.
Netero then stripped down into his "battle clothes".
Netero: "This may be the last time I'll wear this..." Netero said.
Netero: "Colt, it appears that you can use Nen..." Netero said.
Then, Netero flared his Nen.
Netero: "Since you've been in the King's presence, I want you to give me your honest opinion. How do I compare to the King?" Netero asked.
Colt: "Most likely, you will be unable to lay a finger on him. You'll be killed by one of his Royal Guards before you can get close enough." Colt said.
Netero: "I see... I'm happy to hear that. A challenger at my age. What a thrill! A thrill!" Netero said excitedly.
Colt: "But. It doesn't end there. The situation is far worse than that." Colt said.
Netero: "Hmm?" Netero asked.
Colt: "The King may be powerful, but one of his Guards far surpasses him. Because when the King and he fought, the King was defeated in 2 hits." Colt said, catching everyone massively off guard.
Colt: "The King isn't dead, but he was knocked unconscious by him. But the Royal Guard healed him, so he's fine." Colt said.
Netero: "2 hits...? Do you know who this Ant is?" Netero asked surprised.
Colt: "His name... Is " Colt said, shocking everyone.
Sakura: "Y/n...?" Sakura asked, not expecting to hear your name.
Mari: "Oh god... Has he..." Mari said, concluding that you turned into a Chimera Ant.
Netero: "Ah, I see... If that's the case, then we're screwed." Netero said.l bluntly.
Morel: "Chairman? You aren't losing hope, are you?" Morel asked.
Netero: "Honestly, I am. Y/n as a human almost beat me. And now, as a Chimera Ant, he was able to beat the King." Netero said.
Netero: "It'll take a miracle to beat Y/n and the King." Netero said.
Sakura: "I have an idea on how to beat Y/n, but you'll have to deal with the King on your own." Sakura said.
Netero: "I'm fine with that. Now, what's this plan of yours?" Netero asked.
Sakura: "Maybe we could jog his memories by reminding him of who he is...?" Sakura suggested.

Sakura: "Like, maybe if we get all of his friends and loved ones together, It could work." Sakura added.
Morel: "Well, to do that we'd have to separate Y/n from the King. Which won't be the easiest to do." Knov said.
Morel: "Yeah. But it's the only real chance we have of winning." Morel said.
Mari: "Well, where do we start?" Mari asked.
Netero: "Firstly..."
-Timeskip-
Gon and Killua still sulking in the truck.
Then, Out of nowhere, Gon starts screaming.
Gon: "Okay, I'm over it! Knuckle and the other Hunters will save Y/n. So I have to become stronger! So that Y/n won't is disappointed when he comes back." Gon said with resolve.
Spin: "Ah, so you do get it. We may not Know Y/n, like at all, But I know for certain that he wouldn't want you moping." Spin said as she closed her book.
Spin: "After we crossed the mountains, if you'd still been moping, I would've beat you up..." Spin said bluntly.
Spin: "...and told you that Y/n wouldn't want to see you two like this. I know he's still alive, and he doesn't want you to have regrets." Spin finished.
Spin: "Right now, what should you do? You must make the correct decision, and find the will to follow through!" Spin said.
Spin: "If you're too weak, train more. There's enough space here for squats and push-ups." Spin said.
Gon: "Yeah, you're-" But as Gon was speaking, he gets cut off by the Prison Realm emerging.
Spin: "Hey! What's that?" Spin asked, getting on guard.
Killia: "Hmm? Oh, they must be coming out." Killua said.
Spin: "Who are you-" But as she was speaking, Yuji and friends come out.
Yuji: "Oh... How you doing?" Yuji asked, not recognizing Spin.
Gon: "Hello!" Gon shouted, making everyone turn toward Gon.
Yuji: "Hey, you two must be Y/n's friends, Im Yuji, nice to meet you!" Yuji said.
Gon: "Im Gon, and this is Killua! Say hi Killua!" Gon said.
Killua: "Sup." Killua said.
Spin: "Do... Do you know these guys?" Spin asked, not trusting them.
Yuji: "Well, let us introduce ourselves. Im Yuji Itadori, friends of Y/n." Yuji said.
Nobara: "Im Nobara, Nobara Kusigaki." Nobara said.
But, Megumi didn't introduce himself. He just stayed silent.
Nobara: "Megumi, I swear to god I will hurt you if you dont introduce yourself." Nobara threatened.
Megumi: "Im Megumi, Megumi Fushiguro." Megumi said.
Shizuku: "And I'm Shizuku, Shizuku Fushiguro." Shizuku said.
Killua: 'Oh, crap! How will She react once she knows that Y/n is gone?!' Killua thought.
Gon: 'Crap! If she finds out that Y/n is Gon, she'll be angry!' Gon thought while visibly sweating.
Shizuku then looks around the Truck, looking for you, but she doesn't find you. Making her breathe a sigh of disappointment.
Shizuku: "Ah, As I thought. Like it'd be that easy." Shizuku said.
Spin: "What are you talking about?" Spin asked.
Yuji and friends then sit down.
Shizuku: "I was hoping that Y/n would be here so I could find out what was up with him." Shizuku said, making Spin confused.
Spin: "Wait, how would you know what was up with him? He's not even here." Spin said.
Shizuku then explains the Soul connection, and that she can just "feel" that something is up with him.
Spin: "Oh, I see." Spin said.
Shizuki: "And based on this, I know that Y/n is alive and well. Because if he wasn't, I probably wouldn't be feeling this." Shizuku said.
Gon: "ALRIGHT!" Gon shouted, happy to know that you were fine.
Shizuku: "BUT. This is where it gets confusing." Shizuku started.
Shizuku: "See, He's alive, but He isn't himself anymore." Shizuku said.
Killua: "Isn't himself...? What do you mean?" Killua asked.
Shizuku: "If I want to explain this better, I would need to know where he went." Shizuku said.
Gon then explained everything related to the Chimera Ants. And their encounter with Pitou and how they left you behind.
Gon: "And that's what happened. He hasn't come back yet. So we don't know what happened." Gon said.
Then, Shizuku had a sudden realization. Knowing exactly what happened because of Gon's explanation.
Shizuku: "If that's the case... Then the situation has dramatically worsened." Shizuku said worriedly.
Spin: "How so?" Spin asked.
Shizuku: "Because not only was Y/n defeated, but... " Shizuku said.
Shizuku has finally connected all of the dots and realized what happened to you. How will Your family and friends drag you out of the darkness? Who knows... But one thing's for certain...
Shizuku is now drowning in an indescribable sadness.

Sword System Academia
2/17 NOTICE: I'm putting this on hiatus, possibly permanently. I didn't want to spam with an "update chapter", so hopefully here and in the story blurb will get enough eyeballs. There are a couple reasons for ending SSA for now. 1) I wrote the next chapter but wasn't happy with it. I've been less and less satisfied with SSA's quality the more I thought about it. Part of the reason is... 2) I am seriously thinking about trying to publish some novels to help pay the bills, since I don't have my other source of income anymore. I have never asked for anything from SSA readers, no money, not even a review or rating. SSA is written for fun to amuse myself, primarily, and I would kind of feel bad actually charging someone money for something as unserious as that. I don't think it is good enough to ask anything in return. To use an analogy from music, SSA is more like a jam session with a bunch of friends. You're just chiling and having fun playing some music. I mean, if you are Mozart or even Eminem, your jam session is good enough to sell, but for an amateur beginner like myself, haha, no. If I want to publish something, I feel like I need to go the proper route of practice and rehearsals, which might be more similar to a classical concert performance. With SSA, I work from worldbuilding notes and a loose outline, but what you are essentially getting is the first draft with lots of so-called pantsing. Pushing out a web novel like this also means it is very difficult to go back and improve things without breaking everything else downstream. I wanted to try this "jamming" approach, as it was a good way to teach me about another aspect of writing, but to move forward, I think I need to hone my "classical" techniques, which emphasize rewriting, or at least, revising outlines. 3) While I intend to try to make $$$, my actual current goal is to "get gud". I've spent a lot of time recently trying to understand the self-publishing industry, and I'm pretty sure I can make some money by using short-term strategies with my current amateur skill level. But I've seen too many authors come and go/burnout, and really, the only way that I think I can enjoy writing and still make money on a long-term basis is to become a better writer. And the next step for me, which I haven't done much before, is to spend more time on rewriting and outlines. That is pretty much antithetical to the way SSA is developing. I've always been kind of 20/80 plotting/pantsing, but I want to spend a lot more time outlining before I even start writing. SSA jam sessions don't really fit my goal anymore. If you're curious about what's next, read on... Among other regrets, I regret not finishing SSA. It's the first story I've dropped, but then again, it's the first web novel I've attempted, so I suppose that's not a surprise. I don't think traditional web novel formats suit me that well. The whole SSA story I had loosely planned (beyond a first book or major arc) is way too large as well. Big story = good for neverending webnovel with Patreons, bad for penniless and fickle writer like me. I am currently outlining a complete trilogy to another story in great detail. I want the story to end concisely, and I also want the chance to really spend a lot of time on the full outline to spot pacing problems, character issues, lost themes, and so on. I'll still share this story on RR. What I intend to do is finish book 1, flash-publish the whole thing here for a few weeks, then publish on the big Zon. Repeat for books 2 and 3. The upcoming story will be about crafting heroes. The backdrop is an isekai-like setting, where elves will summon humans to their world as heroes, but the whole hero crafting business is still in its infancy. The elven mage researchers are figuring out how to imbue heroes with power, while the heroes are trying to figure out how to use the powers that they gain. Humans are the best hero templates because they are blank and have no intrinsic magic. Or at least that what the elves thought. The human MC has his own secrets... There will be some similarities with litrpgs, but I would call it more a progression fantasy or gamelit story. For example, the stats are very low, at least initially. Say we have a stat called Str. Going from Str = 1 to Str = 2 is a huge deal. Also, going from Dex = 0 to Dex = 1 is an even bigger deal. I guess you could call it a "low-stat litrpg", haha. Also, the heroes won't be gaining stats simply by killing things or leveling up. You can't increase stats arbitrarily, either. There will be rules to how stats can increase, and how they work with each other. The elven mages will be figuring out these rules in order to craft stronger and stronger heroes. Some inspiration will be from cultivation magic systems, but there won't be overt cultivation, at least for now. A theme I really want to explore is the idea of interactions. That includes things like hero crafter vs hero, tactics vs strategy, skill synergies, racial interactions (dwarves, elves, etc), and son. Yeah, so hero crafting. I'm super excited about this project and venturing into publishing. If you want to check out the upcoming story, you can follow my RR author profile to see when it drops here. Finally... THANK YOU TO EVERYONE! I'm very sorry that SSA is stopping, but I hope at least some of you will find the next story at least as enjoyable, if not more. Thanks to all the readers who gave SSA a shot. Big hug or solid fistbump to all of you, whichever you prefer! I hope this message is not a downer but an upper, because I am psyched!! -purlcray -------------- BLURB: Talen, youngest Master of the Koroi, makes his way to the Empire's capital to salvage his clan's fate. But the bustling city has few opportunities for the traditionalist. For the old sword clans are fading. With the rise of alchemy, gold can purchase strength that ordinarily took years of training to cultivate. Sword artists, once rare and accomplished, are quickly growing in number, especially among the wealthy noble class. Even with such alchemy, though, no one has advanced to the rank of Grandmaster in countless years. Talen's true dream is to walk the path of a sword artist to the very end while fulfilling his clan duties. And then the Swordgeists return, fabled founders of all sword arts, gods who had touched the world long ago and vanished. These myths turned into reality warn of a coming threat. Alongside this warning, they issue an invitation to the Sword System Academy, a path to power beyond the mortal realm. But first, they will hold an entrance exam... Story notes:Sword System Academia blends elements of western and asian fantasy such as xianxia and litrpg. I took parts from different genres I enjoyed and twisted them into my own creation. There will be an explicit system, both of the litrpg kind and the hard(ish) magic kind, but it is embedded within an academic structure that will develop over the course of the story. This is my attempt to design a unique type of system, the System Academia.
