《Child Of Infinity (Malereader X HunterHunter) [COMPLETED]》Chimera Ants
Advertisement
We currently see the Chimera Ants flying toward a village, intent on capturing everyone there.
Villager 1: "Hey, what's that?" A villager asked, looking at the oncoming army of ants.
Villager 2: "M-M-Monsters!" Villager w said while dropping his wheat and running away.
Ant: "Listen carefully! Target the fully grown ones. They will provide the most nutrition. Now go!" The ant commanded.
Then, every soldier started flying toward the running villagers, killing them and picking them up from the ground.
Then, after a while, They managed to take every human from the village. And were now heading toward the ant nest.
Kite: "A Chimera Ant queen stays on the move until she finds a place she likes. During the search, she'll produce more and more soldier ants to build her own army. Once she's chosen a location, she produces a large number of construction ants, to build her castle with incredible speed." Kite explained.
Kite: "From then on, the queen remains within the castle until her death. Should a queen who has reached 2 meters in height get a taste for human flesh... entire towns and villages will go missing." Kite said.
Spin: "I don't see anything... I just checked the past six months and the largest group only numbered ten." Spin said.
Gon: "Hey, can we look up missing people individually?" Gon asked.
Spin: "Don't be ridiculous. You know how many hundreds of thousands of people go missing worldwide? We should be able to see which areas have the highest concentrations." Spin said.
Spin: "Let's see... No good... The data's two years old." Spin said.
Gon: "Perhaps we should start by checking for sightings. If someone saw a two-meter tall insect, it would be a big deal!" Gon said.
Spin: "We tried that, of course. But we couldn't find anything." Spin said.
Banana: "Maybe we're getting worked up over nothing..." Banana said.
Spin: "Yeah." Spin said.
Kite: "Bring up the tidal data from the day the arm was found." Kite said.
Spin: "The arm was discovered here..." Spin said.
Kite: "Now go back ten days. Locate any currents that may have carried the arm to that location in that time." Kite said.
Spin: "What do you mean?" Spin asked.
Kite: "It's possible that the arm was severed after the Chimera Ant made landfall." Kite said.
Spin: "I see..." Spin said as she started typing.
Spin: "It could have come from any of the Balsa Islands..." Spin said.
Kite: "Including the Mitene Union." Kite said.
Stick: "The Mitene Union?" Stick asked.
Banana: "Oh, where the NGL Autonomous Region is." Banana said.
Kite: "Yes, as well as East Gorteau. There will be no getting information out of those two countries." Kite said.
Killua: "What's this NGL?" Killua asked.
Banana: "An acronym, standing for Neo-Green Life." Banana said.
Stick: "It's a country founded by people who eschew modern technology, and choose to live in nature." Stick said.
Spin: "Here it is. They primarily communicate by mail. Primary means of transportation is by horseback. Anyone knowingly bringing technology into the country is subject to execution. In '87, a three-man TV crew was caught trying to enter the country to get a story. One was executed, and the other two remain in prison. Of its 2.17 million population, 99% belong to the Neo-Green Life Party, with the rest being volunteers." Spin explained.
Kite: "If the Chimera Ant washed ashore there, how would the citizen of the NGL react? They probably wouldn't do anything. When a deadly epidemic spread throughout the area, they refused to admit International medical aid, preferring to let nature take its course. And even if they tried to contact the outside world, it would be too late by the time word arrived. If that arm belonged to the Chimera Ant queen, she may have already begun to build her nest." Kite said.

-Cut to Chimera Ants-
Ant 1: "A contest?"
Ant 2: "Yeah... Between you and me. Let's see who can bring the Queen more humans. I challenge you!" Ant w said.
Ant 1: "Hmph." He said while walking away.
Ant 2: "What? You're running away? Hey, accept my challenge!" Ant 2 shouted.
Ant 1: "Accept? Are you ordering me around?" Ant 1 asked, turning back around.
Ant 1: "Why should I follow an order from you? I only follow the Queen's orders." Ant 1 said.
Ant 2: "You're just scared of losing. My squad is comprised of elite soldiers. I can beat any squad in this castle! Oh, I know... I should get the other squad leaders in on this. If we compete, we'll capture more prey." Ant 2 said.
Ant 1: "More prey? I see... I agree with that idea. If we gather more prey, the Queen will be pleased." Ant 1 said.
Ant 2: "Okay, that settles it." Ant 2 said.
Ant 1: "However, I believe that the prey's quality also matters. We must ensure that the Queen eats highly nutritious humans." Ant 1 said while walking away.
Ant 2: "That guy's such a stiff..." Ant 2 said.
Ant 3: "That's what makes him endearing. He is dedicated and loyal." Ant 3 said.
Ant 4: "I presume... the human he was created from was also quite earnest." Ant 4 said.
-Timeskip-
Ant 1: "We haven't raided this area yet." The ant said as he and an army of other ants flew down toward a village.
Then, he flew down and walked toward a little girl. But as he was walking toward her, her mother came in and protected her.
Once he sees this, he decides to spare them and take the guy behind them.
-Cut to other Ants-
Ant 3: "Excellent. This should suffice to please the Queen." Ant 3 said.
Then, out of nowhere, people wearing white came in and gunned the ants down. Managing to kill some of them.
Ant 3: "Wh-What's happening?" Ant 3 asked.
Gunner 1: "Exterminate the insects quickly. That's Gyro's order." Gunner 1 said.
Ant 3: "Gyro? What's that?" Ant 3 asked.
Gunner 1: "That's the name of our King!" Gunner 1 said.
Then, they proceeded to gun them down. But Ant 3's used his shell to protect them. He proceeded to roll away at high speeds.
Gunner 1: "Damn it!" The gunner said angrily as the Ant got away.
-Cut to Kite-
Spin: "I bought tickets to the Mitene Union." Spin said.
Banana: "But to reach NGL, we have to take an airship to the neighboring Rokario Republic, and travel by land from there." Banana said.
Stick: "It "ant" gonna be easy to get into a country of such nasty rumors. Just kidding." Stick said while laughing.
Y/n: 'That pun couldn't have been less funny.' You thought to yourself, unamused.
Killua: "Nasty rumors?" Killua asked.
Gon: "What do you mean?" Gon asked.
Kite: "Have you heard of D2?" Kite asked.
Gon: "D2?"
Kite: "It's an ingestible drug thats propagating rapidly throughout urban areas worldwide. It's derived from the Bira Tree, native to the Mitene Union. And they claim that over 80% of the world's Bira Trees are located in the NGL..." Kite explained.
Killua: "So the nasty rumors are saying that the drug is being manufactured in the NGL?" Killua asked.
Kite: "They're only rumors. No one has been able to publicly prove it." Kite said.
Stick: "After all, the country's locked down tight." Stick said.
Spin: "When people try to get in to investigate, they're executed." Spin said.
-Timeskip-
Kite: "It may be a bit late to ask, but are you sure you want to come?" Kite asked.
Gon: "Of course!" Gon answered.
Killua: "You weren't kidding about the "late" part." Killua answered
Y/n: "Hell yeah I wanna come." You answered.
Kite: "We have no idea what the situation is inside the NGL. There may very well be a swarm of giant Chimera Ants already, hunting humans down. If that turns out to be the case, my priority will be saving them. So I may not be able to help you. You must be able to protect yourselves. If you want to come, that's the requirement." Kite explained.
Gon: "Okay, got it." Gon said.
Killua: "We'll be fine." Killua said.
Y/n: "We're good, you can trust us." You said.
Kite: "And if I'm the one who's in danger, you should escape without me. Got it?" Kite asked.
-Cut to Chimera Ants-
Ant: "A pretty good haul. But it's not even half the size of what my squadron delivered..." Ant said.
Ant: "My focus was on quality. And I wasn't competing against you." Ant responded.
Ant: "Whatever. Anyway, did you hear? That turtle guy ran into human resistance." Ant said.
Ant: "Resistance?"
-Cut to other Ants-
Ant: "Hmm... those were probably things called guns." Ant said.
Ant: "Guns?" Ant asked.
Ant: "Simply, it's a barrel that launches metal projectiles called bullets using the explosive force of gunpowder. It's one of the most commonly used human weapons." Ant said.
Ant: "I have no idea what you're talking about..." The ant said dumbly.
Ant: "If you want the details, read books. Books are wonderful. You can learn about how these human creatures think, behave, and function as a society." Ant said.
Ant: "Can you answer a question, then? Do humans have armies too?" Ant asked.
Ant: "Armies?"
Ant: "Yes, that was an army. They belong to a military body led by an authoritative figure, much like us!" Ant explained.
Ant: "Ah, I have another question. They mentioned something about a name." Ant said.
Ant: "A name?" He said while flipping through a book.
Ant: "I can't blame you for not understanding. Because it's a human idea we do not make use of. Put simply..."
Ant: "So it seems that there are humans capable of more than running and crying." Ant said.
Ant: "I don't know why that should surprise you. Much like how different you and I are, it's only natural that individual humans would have unique traits as well. After all, their blood flows through us." Ant said.
Then, the Ant Queen called all of the Squad leaders out of nowhere.
Ant Queen: "Assemble, squadron leaders! Assemble, squadron leaders!" The queen said.
Ant: "The Queen summons us." Rhe ant said.
Then, the squadron leaders started heading toward the queen.
Ant: "Do you get a headache when the Queen calls to us?" Ant asked.
Ant: "Yeah, my ears start ringing." Ant responded.
Ant: "It's too bad the Queen cant talk like we do." The ant I really wanna smash said.
Then, they arrived at the queen.
Ant Queen: "I shall now begin preparations for the King's birth. Every day, deliver me with fifty humans." Ant Queen ordered.
All: "Yes, Majesty!" Everyone said.
Ant: "Your Majesty, may I ask you a question?" One of the ants asked.
Ant Queen: "Permitted. Speak." Ant Queen said.
Ant: "Among the humans are soldiers like ourselves, with weapons to use against us. We must fortify our defenses, in preparation for any potential attack." Ant said.
Ant: "We have a few options. Would you care to hear them?" Ant asked.
Ant Queen: "I shall let you decide your course. I must focus entirely on my son." Ant Queen said.
Ant: "Yes, and one more thing... Would you allow us to have names?" Ant asked.
Ant Queen: "What is a name?" Ant Queen asked.
Ant: "It's like a code that can be used to identify each of us." Ant said.
Ant Queen: "Very well, do as you please." Ant queen responded.
Ant: "I am truly grateful!" Ant said.
Then, everyone began to walk away.
Ant Queen: "Curious creatures... They're assertive and desire things called names to be distinct. They place a high value on individualism, yet strive with one another for the good of the colony. I suppose I am also peculiar to find this change fascinating. Perhaps I, too, have faint traces of human blood within me. Regardless, I feel such anticipation!" The ant queen said.
Ant Queen: "I can see you already, as though recalling a memory from my past. My King... You shall stand at the pinnacle of all species!" The ant queen said, even though someone else will do that.
Ant Queen: "Names... how amusing." The ant queen said while looking at 3 eggs.
Ant Queen: "The Three Elite Royal Guards... I shall come up with a name for you myself." The ant queen said.
-Cut to Y/n-
Killua: "What did you just decide?" Killua asked.
Gon: "Remember what Kite said before we left? That we should escape without him if he's in danger." Gon said.
Y/n: 'Yeah, Im not doing that. If he's in danger, Im gonna help. Besides, I highly doubt that any regular ant could take me on.' You thought to yourself.
Killua: "Yeah, I dont think it was a choice..." Killua said.
Gon: "Yeah. That's why none of us said anything, but I've been thinking. Is it possible for Kite, who's earned Ging's respect, to be in that much danger?" Gon asked.
Gon: "You said that Ging had a reason for bringing Kite and me together..." Gon said.
Killua: "Yeah." Killua answered.
Gon: "You're probably right. I dont know the reason, but I can't give up halfway, no matter what's going on. Otherwise, I'll disappoint Ging. Of course, I could never forgive myself, either. So I won't run away. That's what I've decided." Gon said with resolve.
Killua: "Damn it, you had a really serious expression, so I was expecting something big. But it's just the same as usual..." Killua said.
Gon: "Huh? I thought about this a lot. I even ran a bunch of simulations in my mind..." Gon said.
Killua: "Think all you want, but you'll still be Gon. If someone said you should abandon them, you'd never do it." Killua said.
Gon: "You make it sound like I wasted my time considering it. Then what about you?" Gon asked.
Killua: "I'm a spontaneous guy, so I'd think about it when the time comes." Killua said.
Gon: "You mean you might run away?" Gon asked.
Killua: "Depends. I can't say until it actually happens." Killua said.
Gon: "What about you, Y/n?" Gon asked you.
Y/n: "Well... If the Ant happens to be far stronger than all of you, then I'd step up and fight them." You said.
Gon: "But I would-!" But as he was about to speak, you cut him off.
Y/n: "I would knock you out first, due to that stubborn attitude." You said, making Gon pour angrily.
The ship you were on was heading toward the Mitene region. But little did all of you know, bringing Y/n would be the best and only possible chance of defeating the Ants.
Or will the completely unexpected happen?

The Dog with a Chair
As of now, this story is dropped. It was an excellent learning experience, but the quality suffered too much from me trying new things for me to continue in good concience. Thanks to anyone that read it. I'm leaving this story up as a record of my first ever attempt at publishing something I've wrote. To any new writers out there, remember that even if the stuff you write is trash, you can still learn a lot from writing it. - November 17th 2020 Guy gets involved in advocacy for civil engineering projects, then gets pulled into an interdimensional war. Third person with a focus on one main character (Stanley) with the occasional point of view from another character important to story progression. Writing style tends to shift early on as I figure out how to write (this is my first book). Still learning, hoping to improve. Current style choice is to have a focus on character dialogue/actions with interspersed internal monologue in italics. No current end is set for the story, with the primary goal of this project being to learn to express myself in a written format. Storyline is kept as consistent as practical while covering things I find interesting. Governmental systems are mentioned, but not explained in extreme detail. Sci fi elements are used to reinforce and guide plot progression as I'm able. Personal goals belonging to each character are in the process of being developed, with the hope that they will support or oppose each other in interesting ways later on. Hope you enjoy :)
