Killua: "We're being watched." Killua said.
Gon: "Killua!" Gon said, happy to see him.
Killua: "Thanks for waiting." Killua said as he walked toward Gon.
Gon: "Now, all we have to do is wait for Y/n. And we'll be able to-" But as Gon was about to finish, you cut him off.
Y/n: "Boo." You said, suddenly appearing in front of Gon.
Gon: "AH- WHAT THE HELL Y/N!" Gon shouted, angry that you surprised him.
Y/n: "How's it going?" You asked casually, ignoring his angry shouting.
Gon: "I was doing fine until you scared me." Gon mumbled angrily.
Killua: "Hey, as much as I'd like to sit here and chat, we have to go." Killua said.
Y/n: "Yeah, I agree." You responded.
Killua: "We should start by gathering information." Killua said you the three of you started walking.
Killua: "So, how did it go?" Killua asked, confusing Gon.
Killua: "Your save data of course." Killua clarified as he summoned his book.
Killua: "How many cards were inside?" Killua asked.
Gon: "There weren't any cards inside." Gon answered.
Y/n: "Seriously?" You asked, slightly disappointed.
Gon: "But there was a message from Ging." Gon added.
Y/n: "What did he say?" You asked.
Gon: "To enjoy the game." Gon answered.
Y/n: "Is that it? Well, the thing is, This doesn't really feel like a game." You said.
Gon: "What do you think about the rules?" Gon asked.
Killua: "I don't enough yet." Killua answered as they suddenly hear a loud sound.
Then, a player crashes down in front of him.
Y/n: 'What the hell? That some kind of Nen or something?' You thought to yourself confused.
Player: "This must be your first time playing this game." The player asked.
Killua: "Who wants to know? Since your carrying s book, you must be a player." Killua said.
Player: "You think?" The player asked.
Player: 'You can't fool me. I know you're new to this game.' The player said as he pulled out a card.
Player: 'I can use the Steal card.' The player thought to himself sd he activated it.
Y/n: 'The hell is he doing?' You thought to yourself.
Player: "Killua, Gon, and Y/n huh?" The player asked, making you surprised that he figured out your name.
Y/n: "And how do know our names?" You asked worriedly.
Player: "How indeed!" The player said.
Player: 'You have no chance if you don't know about spell cards." The player thought to himself ominously as he looked at Killua's free slots.
Player: 'And that settles it. They're total newbies who've just arrived. And they're just kids.' The player thought to himself as he looked through his cards.
Player: 'This is too good to waste on them.' The player thought to himself as he took out the "Trace" card.
Player: 'Trace should be good enough.' The player thought to himself.
Player: "Trace on! Attack Y/n!" The player shouted as yellow energy came flying toward you.
Y/n: "Nope!" You shouted as you bolted away, but the energy was tracking you.
Player: "You can't run from spells in this game!" The player shouted as the yellow energy hit you.
Gon: "Y/n, are you okay?!" Gon asked concerned.
Player: "My attack worked!" The player said victoriously.
Then, you take off your blindfold and give him a menacing look.
Y/n: "" You asked angrily, scaring the shit out of him.
Player: 'This kid's dangerous!' The player thought to himself.

Then, you started walking toward him.
Player: "Return on! Take me to Masadora!" The player shouted as he activated the spell card, sending him flying away.
Y/n: "Tch. Coward." You said in an annoyed tone.
-Timeskip-
Gon: "Y/n, How are you holding up?" Gon asked.
Y/n: "Hmm? Oh, I don't feel any different really." You answered.
Gon: "Good, But I'm still worried. He definitely did something to you." Gon said.
Y/n: "No point in worrying about it now." You said.
Gon: "Hey, was he using Nen when he said, "Trace on"?" Gon asked.
Y/n: "No. It's probably some magic that only works in the game." You answered.
Gon: "Magic? What kind?" Gon asked.
Y/n: "Beats me. Well, we'll find out eventually." You answered.
Gon: "Wait, where's the prison realm?" Gon asked panicking.
Y/n: "Oh, it's right here." You answered as you pulled out the Prison Realm from your inner jacket pocket
Y/n: "Before I entered the game, I hid this in my jacket. Keep this on the DL." You said to Gon.
Gon: "Oh, right!" Gon whispered back.
Gon: "Oh, Look, there's a town!" Gon said while pointing toward the massive town in front of them.
-Timeskip-
Killua: "Those must be the prizes." Killua said.
Gon: "Wow, all these are prizes?" Gon asked.
Y/n: "Looks that way." You answered.
Gon: "Oh, Killua? Look." Gon said while looking at a huge board in front of him.
Killua: " "Antokiba Monthly Tournaments Schedule." "Killua said, reading what's on the board.
Gon: "There's a rock-paper-scissors tournament this month." Gon said.
Y/n: "And the prize is the sword of truth." You said.
Gon: "Is that an important item?" Gon asked.
Killua: "Probably." Killua responded.
Gon: "Should we participate?" Gon asked.
K/Y: "Of course." You and Killua said at the same time.
Gon: "Then let's try to win all kinds of prizes." Gon said.
Killia: "We should also gather information." Killua added.
Then, all your stomachs rumbled.
Y/n: "How about some food first?" You asked.
-Timeskip-
Chef: "Welcome! If you can finish this within thirty minutes, you don't need to pay! In addition, you'll also receive a Gargaider as your prize." The chef explained.
Chef: "Okay, begin!" The chef said as you began to eat.
Killua: "Hey, Mister. Do you know how to use magic?" Killua asked.
Chef: "What's that?" The chef asked.
Gon: "Who's the wisest person in this city?" Gon asked.
Chef: " "Wisest?" What's that?" The chef asked.
Y/n: "Huh. This guy's dumb." You said while chewing.
Killia: "He's probably just an NPC." Gon said angrily.
Then, they finished eating.
Chef: "Oh, no! You did it! Here is your prize, Gargaider." The chef said, handing Killua the card.
Killua: "1217. F-185." Killua said, reading off the guard.
Gon: "What does that mean?" Gon asked.
Chef: "Oh, Is this your first time seeing a card? The left number is the item's card number and the sequence on the right ranks how difficult it is to obtain. There are ten ranks, from SS to H. F would be the third easiest. The number next to the rank is the item's maximum conversion limit." The chef explains.
Gon: "Oh, which means this item card..." Gon started
Killua: "Is nothing but junk." Killua said.
Then, an explosion could be heard from outside.
Y/n: "What the hell?" You said surprised.
Then, You leave the restaurant and bolt toward where the explosion came from, Gon and Killua following behind.

You then arrive to see someone on the ground, dead snd bleeding out.
Killua: 'He's one of the players who entered with us.' Killua thought to himself, recognizing the victim.
Y/n: "Hey, what happened?" You asked the person next to you.
Random: "His body suddenly exploded. Just blew up from the inside." He answered.
Gon: 'We've only been inside the game for a few hours, and there's already a fatality. And this corpse is very real. It's hard to believe this is just a game. We're really risking our lives here.' Gon thought to himself.
Then, the corpse suddenly disappeared. Leaving no trace of him ever being here behind.
Y/n: 'He vanished?' You asked yourself confused.
Killua: "He probably went back to the real world. Game over." Killua said.
Gon: "Hey, Y/n. Was that magic used on your earlier?" Gon asked.
Y/n: "Let's hope not." You answered.
Player: "Don't worry. There's no such spell in this game." The player said.
Gon: "Spell?" Gon asked.
Player: "As you just said, it's something like magic." The player answered.
Player: "He died from another player's Nen." The player added.
Killua: "Does that mean that players are trying to kill each other?" Killua asked.
Gon: "Why would they do that?" Gon asked.
Player: "Player hunting." The player answered.
Killua: "Player hunting?" Killua asked.
Player: "I can explain later. Anyway, are you interested in teaming up? There's a sure-fire way to clear this game." The player said, piquing their interest.
Player: "If you're interested, follow me. My friends are up ahead." The player said.
Gon: "What now?" Gon asked.
Y/n: "Sounds suspicious. And we're already off to a bad start." You answered.
Player: "If I remember correctly, but on your way here, another player used an attack spell on you." The player said.
Y/n: "Oh? You some kind of stalker or something?" You asked.
Player: "Yeah. And I wasn't the only one. Lots of people keep an eye on the starting point. If you come with me, I'll explain why. I can also tell you about the spell that was cast on you." The player said.
Y/n: "You're being quite generous. There must be a catch." You said while smirking.
Player: "We have no choice. Once you realize how hard, frightening, and foul this game is, you'll be more willing to accept our offer. And, it's your first time playing, so you could use the information." The player said.
Killua: "What makes you think it's our first time? We could be returning players." Killua asked.
Player: "Book." The player said, making the three of you jump away.
Player: "This proves that your beginners. An experienced player would react by summoning his own binder. Because you need spell cards to defend yourself." The player said.
Gon: "Then the spell cast on Y/n..." Gon started.
Killua: "Could only be stopped by another card." Killua finished.
Player: "Even when you aren't carrying any cards, you should still summon your binder. It's an important bluff. Book." The player said, unsummoning his book.
Gon: "Hey, how do we obtain spell cards?" Gon asked.
Player: "The easiest method would be to go to Masadora, the City of Magic." The player answered.
Gon: "Masadora?" Gon said, remembering what the player from before said.
Gon: "Hey, Y/n, let's go! I'm worried about the spell on you. Okay?" Gon asked.
Y/n: "Sure." You responded.
-Timeskip-
Player: "Is this everyone?" Player asked.
Player 2: "Yeah. Everyone else turned me down." Player 2 answered.
Player 3: "Let's get started." Player 3 said.
'It's that Gojo kid again... I wonder if he's as strong as Satoru is.' The girl thought to herself.
But the moment you saw him, Red flags immediately went off in your head. He just oozed danger. But, the others seemed to trust him, so you would put up with him.
But, One thing that wasn't gonna happen is you or your friends joining him. You DID NOT want to risk dying.
Player: "Another player was killed. He arrived with the rest of you. His stomach exploded. It was the work of the bomber." Player explained.
Y/n: "The Bomber?" You asked.
Player 3: "His victims aren't killed by spells. No spell in this game is capable of injuring people. Which means that you won't be harmed or killed by any spell cast on you." Player 3 said.
Player: "There are 40 different spells in all. The one cast on you was an inspection spell. Either Trace or Adhesion. In short, once the enemies uses these on you, he will then know everything about you." Player explained.
Player 3: "Some players wait near the starting point to cast these spells on new players. As soon as a player obtains a valuable card, they'll show up and steal it. In some cases, they just kill their target." Player 3 explained.
Puhat: "Like the guy who just died? I won't be that easy to kill." Robot chin said cockily.
Player 3: "No, someone else killed him. By a radical type of player, one who targets players. The bomber killed him." Player 3 retorted.
Player 4: "In this game, there are three ways to acquire item cards. Do you know what they are?" Player 4 asked.
Gon: "Find them yourself." Gon answered.
Player 5: "Trade with other players." Player 5 added.
Killua: "Or simply steal them from other players." Killua added.
Player 4: "Yes, those are the three ways. However, the number of players stealing from others has recently increased. That's due to the increasing difficulty in obtaining cards and the card conversion limit system. Players who can't obtain cards themselves choose to take them from others. If those players resist, they're killed. When they die, their ring disappears, and their cards are lost." Player 4 explained.
Player 4: "However, it increases the conversion limit of that type of the card. If you kill a player, you cant take his cards. That rule was meant to keep players from killing each other." Player 4 said.
Player: "But now, it's backfiring. It's been over ten years since this game's release. If no one can find a way to beat it, the killing will only continue. That's why we're trying to end this mess. We're recruiting allies to clear this game. We need your help." Player explained while looking at the three of you.
Puhat: "How do you plan to obtain cards? 1) Find them yourself. 2) Trade for them. 3) Steal them. Which method will you use?" Box chin asked.
Player: "Three." Player asked.
Player 5: "I assume you mean to use all three methods, but the third will be the primary method." Player 5 said.
Puhat: "What? So you're still gonna use force?" Cube chin asked.
Player: "No! We won't use violence to reach our goal." Player retorted.
Player 5: "Spells. You'll use spells. Am I right?" Player 5 asked.
Player: "Correct. There are certain spells for taking cards, and there are cards that defend against those spells. We'll focus on monopolizing these kinds of spell cards. We're going to use the very card conversion limit that's frustrated the players. This is the only way to clear the game." Player explained.
Player 3: "I've met many players, and they all reached the same conclusion. Even if you search for cards, they'll be taken from you eventually." Player 3 said.
Player 4: "Because this game is based on players taking cards from each other." Player 4 said.
Player 6: "We will ensure that we can take cards from other players while mitigating our risk of losing cards." Player 6 said.
Puhat: "You're leaving out something important. Once you clear the game, how are you gonna split the reward?" Puhat asked.
Player 7: "Good point. Mr. Battera hired you, right?" Player 7 asked.
Puhat: "So you knew who we were when you invited us." Chin god asked.
Player 7: "Yeah. Mr. Battera also hired us to play this game." Player 7 said.
Player: "That means the reward will be 50 billion. We'll split it between everyone who helps." Player said.
Player 4: "Current, we have 53 players. It will take two months to collect the remaining spell cards, and one month to get the cards we need. We can finish this in three months." Player 4 said.
Player 3: "Of course, if you join us, we'll remove any spells cast on you." Player 3 said.
Puhat: "Im in. I don't like the idea of splitting the 50 billion, but I like the three-month schedule for clearing the game." chin said.
Player 3: "What about you?" Player 3 said while looking at Player 5.
Player 5: "I have a question. If I obtain an SS rank card on my own, what's my cut?" Player 5 asked.
Player: "Naturally, you'd receive 500 million for a card of that rank." Player answered.
Player 5: "Okay, Im in." Player 5 answered.
Player: "What about you three?" Player asked.
Gon: "Y/n, sorry." Gon said.
Y/n: "For what?" You asked.
Gon: "Count me out. Im playing this game on my own." Gon said ad he began to walk away, making you follow behind.
Y/n: "Well, you heard 'em. I have to pass." You said.
Y/n: "Also, one more thing." You said while pointing at Player 3.
Y/n: "If you trust him... " You said ominously.
Y/n: "Anyway, Gon! Killua! Wait up!" You shouted as you ran behind them.

The Yes-Mage
Plenty of people have stopped and asked what it'd be like to simply have everything, and Sylvain Henry Camille Johansson was no different. He was a man who had a lot of things going on, with a name that'd make a supervillain blush and a family who'd make even the useless of their rank into someone important. It was a shame, then, that he was slapped with a dreadfully unfortunate condition that kept him from living up to any of those already low expectations. Stuck living a life where magic is everywhere while he's left working with nothing more than a moderate intellect, a little bit of whatever influence he could get from his family, and a lifetime's practice at making himself the ideal subordinate for his bosses' boss, Vane was still beating the odds and slowly working his way up in the world. When the cunning yes-man finally got a chance to really make a name for himself, he leapt at the offer, taking his first real step onto a road he knew he was always meant to walk. His goal? Nothing less than finding out why he and too many other unfortunate souls are barred from the wonderful world of the higher energies, and with any luck, fixing it. Of course, life has a knack for interfering in even the humblest of plans, and Vane's lofty ideals were anything but humble; he was practically a walking bullseye for disaster. The funny thing about catastrophe, though, is that nobody can ever say what form it's going to take. That’s why, when it all went wrong for Vane, he'd gotten everything he'd ever wanted foisted onto him, and Everything else, too. Watch as a man so used to saying 'yes' to everyone above him finds himself stuck with the power to make reality itself say it back.
