This was incredibly awkward. Of course, out of all the times to finally meet her you're in this situation. Why couldn't you have just met her when you and she were alone?
Y/n: "Ah geez... This is awkward." You said while looking away.
Shizuku: "Yeah." She also said while looking away.
Gon: "Hey, Y/n. What's going on?" Gon asked, confused as to why this was awkward.
Killua: "Yeah, what's up? What's awkward?" Killua asked.
Y/n: "Y'know how I said that my special person was in Yorknew?" You asked, making them nod.
Y/n: "Well... I can't point at her, but she's the black-haired one." You said, making their jaws drop.
Killua: "Yeah, You're right. This is awkward." Killua said.
Gon: "Yeah. I mean, Having your soulmate be the enemy is a bit strange. But Im sure this'll work out though!" Gon said, wanting you and Shizuku to still have a relationship despite... this.
Phinks: "Hey, you kids." Phinks said, getting your attention.
Phinks: "How about you join us? You would get to be around your soulmate, and the other 2 would still get to be around their friend. So, how about it?" Phinks offered.
Killua: "Hard pass." Killua said almost instantly.
Gon: "Sorry, but no." Gon said, a bit more polite in declining.
Y/n: "As much as I'd like to be able to be around her more often, Im gonna have to refuse." You said, being slightly sad that you couldn't be around Shizuku.
Chrollo: "Hey, You in the middle. What's your name?" Chrollo asked.
Y/n: "Y/n, Y/n Gojo." You responded, being a bit confused as to why he asked.
Chrollo: "Y'know, Im a bit curious as to what your abilities are. I watched you in heavens arena but I want to witness them with my own eyes." Chrollo said, trying to bait you and steal your abilities.
Chrollo: 'Okay, I have to get him to activate infinity, It would seem the most useful to have.' Chrollo said.

Y/n: "Too bad. Dont feel like showing them." You responded snarkily.
Feitan, knowing what Chrollo is trying to do, decides to help him out.
Feitan: "It doesn't matter if you feel like it. You're gonna show us." Feitan said as he tried to grab you, but you activate Infinity to stop him.
Chrollo: 'Nice one Feitan!' Chrollo thought to himself, satisfying the first condition.
Chrollo: "Wait, why couldn't he touch you? That some kind of barrier or something?" Chrollo asked, trying to satisfy the second condition.
Y/n: "Basically, You have no hope of touching me, no matter your abilities." You responded, unknowingly satisfying the 2nd condition of Chrollo's ability
Chrollo: 'Thats the second, but how do I convince him to touch Bandits Secret?' Chrollo thought to himself.
Chrollo: "I see." Chrollo said as he walked over to you.
Chrollo then proceeded to release you along with your friends, confusing everyone.
You, Gon, and Killua then proceeded to jump away from him, thinking that he was about to do something.
Y/n: "May I ask why you released us?" You asked confused.
Chrollo: "Because we really dont intend on harming you. We're trying to friendly, but you aren't making that easy." Chrollo answered, faking a friendly tone.
Y/n: "Now that we're free, what's stopping us from just running?" You asked.
Chrollo: "Well, You're capable of getting away, but your friends aren't." Chrollo answered.
Killua: 'Dammit! As long as we're here, Y/n can't properly fight them!' Killua thought to himself.
Gon: 'I wanted to get stronger so I could prevent exactly this from happening!' Gon thought to himself, frustrated that he still isn't strong enough to help.
Chrollo: "Hey, you like books?" Chrollo asked as he pulled out Bandits Secret.
Y/n: "Not really. Im more of a TV person myself." You answered condescendingly.
Chrollo: "Well as you can see, there aren't any TVs here. So your gonna have to read." Chrollo said.
Y/n: "I'd rather not." You responded.

Chrollo: 'This is gonna be difficult.' Chrollo thought to himself.
Chrollo: "Do you really wanna sit here, bored out of your mind, just to spite me?" Chrollo asked.
Y/n: 'Why is he so persistent with his dumb book?' You thought to yourself.
Y/n: "Why are you so adamant one me reading?" You asked, having a creeping suspicion that his abilities are revolved around it.
Chrollo: 'He's being difficult.' Chrollo thought to himself.
Chrollo then tosses you the book. Making you instinctively catch it.
Y/n: "What's with the large handprint on it?" You asked, thinking that it was a bit out of place.
Chrollo: "I left it out when I was at a restaurant. When I came back, some guy dipped his hand in white paint and put it on the cover. Of course, I killed him once I saw this. I haven't bothered to try and get it off since." Chrollo explained, faking a story on the fly.
Y/n: "Hm." You said as you tried to scratch the "paint" off, but to no avail.
Y/n: "I can't get it off." You said as you kept scratching at it.
Chrollo: 'Dammit. Just put your palm on the handprint already.' Chrollo thought to himself, getting slightly annoyed.
After a few seconds of scratching the so-called paint, you put your palm on it, making Chrollo smile creepily.
Y/n: 'Hm? Why does it feel like this book is trying to take something from me?' You thought to yourself, palm still on the handprint.
Then, you finally get the idea of what his ability is. You then toss the book back to him and smile widely.
Y/n: "I see what you tried to do there. You can steal Nen abilities, can you?" You asked smugly.
Killua: 'Steal Nen abilities? Is something like that even possible?' Killua thought to himself.
Chrollo just had widened eyes, He couldn't steal Infinity. He satisfied all 4 conditions, so why didn't it work?
Chrollo: "W-Why didn't-" Before he could finish, you cut him off.
Y/n: "Why didn't your ability work? Well, that's not of your business now is it?" You said while grinning.
Chrollo then just sighs. He had a feeling that you would somehow avoid getting your abilities stolen. A massive well of power and he had no way of taking it for himself.
Chrollo: "Well. I had a feeling that your abilities couldn't be stolen... Oh well, you can leave now." Chrollo said, making you shocked.
Y/n: "W-What??" You said confused, you fully expected him to be at least a bit angry, but he wasn't.
Chrollo: "Yeah. I only wanted you kidnapped so I could try and take your Nen abilities. And since you won't join us, and I have no way of stealing them, There's no reason for you to be here. So, you're free to go." Chrollo said again.
Shizuku: 'H-He's gonna leave?! But I didn't even have to chance to get to know him yet!' Shizuku thought to herself, visibly distraught.
Chrollo: "Oh yeah. Shizuku, You're also free to go and do what you want. As of this moment, you no longer have to associate yourself with the Phantom Troupe." Chrollo said, making You and Shizuku smile brightly.
Shizuku then bolts toward you and hugs you tightly, prompting you to do the same.
Gon: "Congratulations guys!" Gon said, happy that his friend is happy.
Killua: "Well, That takes care of that. Can we leave now? I dont wanna stay here any longer." Killua said, wanting to get away from the Phantom Troupe.
Y/n: "Yeah. I dont wanna stay for too long either. Let's-" As you were about to finish your sentence, Shizuku started glowing out of nowhere.
As she was glowing, you panic. Trying to think of a way to make her stop glowing. You thought she was gonna die,
Then, you take a second to look at her. And she was fine. But strangely, Shizuku was... Shrinking?

The Everlasting. (Completed)
An Everlasting. A title given to those who have reached a state closest to godhood. Be it through might and power or through love and compassion. These beings hold great influence over the realms. This story is about Asura, a young orphaned child, who was taught the way of the blade and has mastered the Warrior Arts at a very young age. Given a recommendation by his master, Asura ventures out to broaden his horizons and to learn magic. Follow Asura’s journey and his quest to reach Everlastinghood. Comment by the author: Looking at the chapter list, you might have noticed Volume 1 is not there. The reason is that it’s in the process of being published so I’m somewhat restricted in where and how I can post it. Edit. 18/04/2017 The first volume is now officially on sale. It is no longer possible to get the first volume for free. I am sorry but it was free for a long time and it was time for it. However if you like to support me you can find th first volume here on Amazon (getBook.at/TheEverlasting) Compared to other stories on Royal Road this one is faster paced. No artificial extensions of the story by spending forever in generic constructs, like random ranking tournaments, that don’t really matter for the overall plot. That’s the plan anyway. Volumes consist roughly of 30-35k words. Additionally: I am not a native speaker, nor have I had any formal education in the English language. I am trying very hard to improve myself. If you want to help me by proofreading my story, shoot me a PM and we’ll see if we can arrange something. Other than my thanks and fake internet points I can’t offer anything, though. Yeah, poor student here… Edit 22/06/2017 Hey the story is officially ended if i ever decide to continue it will be on another date. The ending is open for anyone to use their imagination. Thank you all for the support. I hope we could meet later in the Everlasting II. Respectfully Biako

Tales of the Legendary Scholar
They meet in the most unlikely moment and turned their life around. Freidrech newly arrived in his own nation's capital city, which is so foreign to him compared to his village's idyllic and nondiscriminatory atmosphere, after he is forced to come. Now, he is facing a royal prince and tells him to bow. This draws out one of his late father's teachings from the deepest recesses in his mind. "The blood of your great ancestors runs in your veins. Don't easily bow down to anyone, or accept suppression by any being, not even from a monarch, unless you pledge your allegiance to him. Also, giving in to oppression is directly telling the oppressor that you're easy prey and open for manipulation." He is uncertain on how to face this oppression right now. Will he bows or not? What will he do to uphold his father's words while keeping his life safe? As for the prince, Theodrech has nothing to do with Freidrech, so he wishes to let this slip, but the boy opens his mouth and proposes the most ludicrous challenge he ever heard and triggers his curiosity. "I, Freidrech Goederf Gerboud, son of the late Village Chief Louvel Gerboud of Wrilon, will challenge you, Your Highness, to a battle of riddles… If you win, I will not only bow but be your servant for the rest of my life." This amuses the prince. It is the first he met a boy of the same age who is not intimidated by the air of authority he projects. Rather, this boy challenges him. "Why are you so headstrong? In fact, bowing to me is an honor. You saw the King's noble Knights. When they saw me, they bowed," says Theodrech, testing Freidrech. "Allow me to be forward, Your Highness. For me, bowing to a monarch does not guarantee loyalty. If I were you, I rather have men who stand straight in my presence but who got my back, than bowing men who are dreaming of my death," replies Freidrech. The prince’s curiosity increases. A huge smile is seen on his face. Prince Theodrech decides to take Freidrech under his wing. Little did they know, this boy who Prince Theodrech takes in as his confidant and friend in the most ridiculous fashion is someone indispensable in his life and the one who can help him succeed the throne when he almost believes he has lost. Thus, the Tales of the Legendary Scholar begins. ------ o ------ Old Synopsis: A famous ancient adage stated, behind a successful man is a woman BUT… In these lands, the monarchs are seeking not a woman to stand behind them but the man hailed as the Legendary Scholar.
