《Child Of Infinity (Malereader X HunterHunter) [COMPLETED]》Hunter Exam

Satotz: "Oh, good. You're awake." Satotz said as he closed the book that he was reading.
Gon: "What happened?" Gon asked. One minute he was fighting Hanzo, the next he was in a completely different room.
Satotz: "In a waiting room that is next to the arena for the final phase." Satotz answered Gon.
Gon: "Oh right. I was in the middle of the hunter exam." Gon said, finally remembering what happened.
Satotz: "Your arm will be fine by the way. The break was clean and easily set. In fact, that limb will be even stronger once it mends." Satotz said.
Satotz: "In any case, congratulations on your win, Gon." Satotz said while holding out his arm for a handshake.
Gon: "Mr. Satotz, I-" But before he could ask, he gets cut off.
Satotz: "You can't. Just as someone who has failed the hunter exam can no longer pass, someone who has passed the hunter exam can no longer fail. What you make of it is entirely up to you." Satotz said.
Satotz: "If you feel you are unqualified to be a professional, you may put away your license. Or destroy it, if you wish. You can even sell it, though it's of no practical use to anyone else." Satotz explained, suggesting Gon ways to get rid of his license if he ever wants to.
Satotz: "However, you have officially passed the hunter exam, and no one who passes it will be allowed to retake it." Satotz explained.
Satotz: "Due to efforts of our predecessors, professional hunters are treated quite well. As a result, there is no end to applicants seeking a license for the worst intentions. If it weren't for the likes of them, we would gladly pass everyone who applies, without exception." Satotz said as he opened a book with Gon's license in it.
Satotz: "Most professional hunters value this card even above their own lives. All the same, it's nothing more than a silly piece of junk. What's important is not the way that you become a hunter, but what you do." Satotz said, going on an entire speech about why Gon shouldn't be mad that Hanzo surrendered against him.

Gon: "What I do, huh?" Gon asked himself.
Satotz: "Gon. You must decide for yourself when you're ready to use this card. Im confident you'll make the right choice." Satotz said as he handed Gon his license.
Gon: "You know, I got a lot of help to get this far, and I owe a lot of people a bunch of favors. Once I've paid everyone back, then I think I'll be ready." Gon explained.
Satotz: "Then please allow me the honor of congratulating you once again." Satotz said as he held out his hand once more.
Gon: "Thank you, Mr. Satotz." Gon said as he shook his hand.
Gon: "What happened to the other applicants? The Exam's still going on, right?" Gon asked.
Satotz: "Oh, no. The exam has already ended." Satotz said, catching gon by surprise.
Gon: "Seriously?" Gon asked with disbelief in his voice.
Satotz: "Thats right. You've been out for almost the entire day." Satotz said, catching Gon by surprise again.
Gon: "The entire day?" Gon asked with surprise evident in his voice.
Satotz: "The others who passed are completing a brief orientation, the same orientation you'll undergo later." Satotz explained.
Gon: "Who wound up failing?" Gon asked.
Satotz: "It was... Killua." Satotz said.
Gon: "Killua failed? But why?" Gon asked, shocked that someone of Killuas caliber failed.
Satotz: "I feel like I should begin by telling you about all that transpired after you lost consciousness. Perhaps that way, you'll better understand the outcome." Satotz said. Gon then nodded, signifying for him to begin.
Satotz: "Just as soon as you were out cold..."
-Flashback.-
Hanzo: "Whenever he wakes up, he'll probably decline his advancement." Hanzo said.
Leorio: "He's right. Sounds like something Gon would do." Leorio said, in agreeance with Hanzo.
Hanzo: "Only one person fails this round, right? So, if Gon is disqualified, then wouldn't that render the rest of our upcoming fights completely meaningless?" Hanzo asked.
Netero: "You don't need to worry. Gon has certainly passed. Nothing he says or does can change that now." Netero said, making both Leorio and Kurapika sigh in relief.

Netero: "As a matter of fact, he could even throw a fit and kill me where I stand, but we still wouldn't be able to revoke his license." Netero said, hammering in the fact that Gon couldn't retract his passing no matter what he did.
Hanzo: "Yes, I see." Hanzo said as he walked away.
Killua: "So why? Why'd you let him win?" Killua asked Hanzo.
Hanzo: "What did you say?" Hanzo asked killua, slightly agitated.
Killua: "You didn't have to kill him. With your skills, you could've made him surrender... somehow." Killua said, making everyone turn toward him.
Hanzo: "I expect when I torture someone, my victim will despise me for the rest of their life. It's more effective and less stressful. When you're in pain, your eyes show a gleam of hostility toward the person responsible. Even with the most extensive training and discipline, that sign of rage is difficult to suppress. But Gon's eyes had no such gleam. Can you believe that? I had just broken his arm. But I could tell just by look into his eyes that he had forgotten all about it. So I guess you could say the little guy won me over. If you need a reason why I " let him win," there you have it." Hanzo explained, making everyone look at Killua once again.
-Flashback over.-
Satotz: "You won your opponent Gon. Hanzo admitted as much himself." Satotz explained to Gon.
Satotz: "After that, the second match of the phase began."
-Flashback.-
Masta: "Round two! Kurapika versus Hisoka. Begin!" Masta shouted.
Kurapika and Hisoka then start going at it. Hisoka had been mostly toying around with Kurapika, Until...
Hisoka whispered something into Kurapikas ear. After he said whatever he said, Hisoka surrendered.
Hisoka: "I lose this one." Hisoka said casually as he walked away.
The third match was Hanzo versus Pokkle. Pokkle was in the same position as Gon, but he surrendered almost immediately.
The fourth match was Hisoka bs Bodoro. The match was extremely one-sided in Hisokas favor. But bodoro just refused to give up. However, while Bodoro was lying on the floor, Hisoka whispered something in his ear. And this time, it was Bodoro who surrendered.
The fifth match was between Killua and Pokkle, But Killua walked away as soon it began. In a confident tone, he declared...
Killua: "Yeah, sorry. But Im just not interested in fighting you."
He was confident he would win his next match. However, Leorio requested that the sixth match be postponed while Bodoro recovered from his injuries.
So, in the meantime, The match between Killua and Gitarrackur was held.
It became apparent that Killua had made a grave miscalculation.
Killua then slowly started walking toward Gitarrackur, being very cautious, Until...
Gitarrackur: "It's been a while, Kil." Gitarrackur said, catching Killua off guard.
Then, Gitarrackur took out his pins. Making his face slowly contorted smaller, his hair started getting longer and turned a black color, And oddly, one of his eyes was missing.
When killua sees his true appearance, Killua gets frozen in fear. It eas his older brother, Illumi Zoldyck.
Killua: "Big brother!" Killua said, shocked that his brother was here.
Illumi: "Hey." Illumi said casually.
Y/n: "Wow! Its Illumi! Didn't know that YOU were in that disguise! Im surprised that you had the balls to stay here after you saw me! Ain't that hilarious?" You said condescendingly, making Killua, Leorio, and Kurapika confused.
Illumi: "Ugh. So annoying..." Illumi said annoyed.
Leorio: "Y/n, you know him?!" Leorio asked you surprised.
Kurapika: "If you know him y/n, then please tell us who he is." Kurapika said.
Y/n: "Oh! Oh ho, I know him alright! And I know him because...

Marrow
Marrow was old... older than me or you. Older than the nation he lived in. And older than anyone he knew. Which is not surprising, because he did not know anyone else. He had been sitting, or perhaps leaning is the more apt expression, in a closet for many, many years, and had done nothing but stare. But eating, or rather chewing, a spider opened up another world to him. A world with a voice that was talking to him - to HIM! Marrow did not get what the voice was saying, but that was secondary at this point. And Marrow started to feel restless. Nuff said. If you like a sometimes quirky skeleton as the main character and want to ride along for its coming of age, or perhaps rather coming of sapience story... give it a shot. It is a litrpg context with skills, levels, heroes and monsters... and a skeleton. Not sure yet how fast the skeleton will level... we'll have to wait and see. As a disclaimer... this is my secondary novel... my main story is ongoing and most of my time is dedicated to that. As such, new chapters will, at first, be rather infrequent and irregular. If things go well, I may shift more attention to the story, but we shall see how things go.
