Kurapika: "That was certainly a brief farewell." Kurapika said. Having his goodbye last for a total of 5 seconds.
Leorio: "No kidding! I dont think any of us expected all those hidden doors to lead us all into the same room." Leorio said in agreeance with Kurapika.
Gon then moved over to a pedestal with 5 watches on it, prompting everyone else to follow after him.
Gon: "Hey, look at this! " The five who drop into this chamber must find their way down together by consensus of the majority." " Gon said, reading off of the screen in front of him.
Y/n: "And look at that, We're a group of five! And we know each other pretty well so I think this'll be a breeze!" You said happily.
Gon: "Yeah! We should be able to do this in no time!" Gon said in agreeance with you.
Everyone then each took a wristband and put it on, making a door open up behind them.
Kurapika: "Hm. The door must be programmed to appear once all five timers are put on." Kurapika said.
They then walk through the door to see a screen with a prompt on it.
Gon: "At this door, select O to open, X not to open." Gon said reading off the screen in front of him.
Leorio: "Using Majority rule, already? All right! At least the answer is obvious." Leorio said.
Everyone then pressed the 'O' option on their wristwatches, making another door open and passing the first part without a problem.
Leorio: "Seriously? I didn't think we'd get another question so soon." Leorio said in slight annoyance at the fact that they're getting another question so soon.
Gon: "Which way do you want to go? O for right, X for left." Gon said, reading the question on the screen.

Kurapika, Killua, Y/n picked the right option. While Leorio and Gon picked the left.
Leorio: "Hey! Why would you wanna go right? You always go left! What's wrong with you?" Leorio shouted in anger.
Y/n: "Leorio, Calm down. This test is meant to put us against each other. Just go with the decision that has the most votes." You said to Leorio in an attempt to calm him down.
Kurapika: "Yeah, Calm down. Also, As research has shown people who are lost or find themselves at a crossroads tend to choose to go to the left much more than the right." Kurapika said.
Killua: "Y'know, I think I've heard that before." Killua said, slightly remembering seeing the same research that Kurapika knows about.
Leorio: "Hold on a second. The numbers just don't add up! Which direction did you three pick?" Leorio asked in annoyance.
Y/n & Kurapika & Killua: "" You all said at the same time whilst heading to the right.
Leorio: "Ugh. You little monsters..." Leorio said as he reluctantly headed to the right, prompting Gon to do the same.
Everyone then started to head down the right path, wanting to see what was in store for them. They then arrive at a large open space with a platform in the middle.
Leorio: "Whoah... Where the hell are we?" Leorio said in awe at the room that he's in.
Y/n: "See that, over there?" You said while pointing at the other side of the room.
At the other side of the room, there are several cloaked figures with restraints on them, Almost like they're prisoners.
Prisoner: "The applicants are here. Unlock my handcuffs." One of the prisoners said to an unknown person.
Then, everyone's handcuffs fall straight off.
Prisoner: "Here we go." The prisoner said as he took off his cloak revealing a towering man with scars all over his head.

Prisoner: "There, now let's get down to business." The buff prisoner said as he walked out of the shadows revealing himself to everyone. And making Leorio gulp in nervousness.
Lippo: "Gentlemen, My name is Lippo. Allow me to explain. You've probably already noticed that some of the prisoners of Trick tower are standing before you." Lippo said.
Kurapika: "They're prisoners?" Kurapika asked Surprised.
Lippo: "Not just prisoners. The Hunter Exam Committee has also officially hired them as examiners. In this phase, you'll be fighting against all five of them. The fights will be one-on-one with each person fighting only once. Using any style you like. There will be no draws. To be declared the victor, your opponent must admit defeat." Lippo said, explaining all the rules.
Prisoner: "You can decide which of you will be the first contender. And this is majority rule, Which means you must have to secure three wins to pass. The Rules are simple." The jacked prisoner explained.
Leorio: "I'm getting real tired of this." Leorio said in annoyance.
Y/n: "Actually, This'll be pretty easy. Not to sound cocky or anything but Me and Killua are basically 2 free wins. The third, however... I dont know." You said to everyone.
Killua: "You're right. So, after me and y/n win, we'll try and decide who'll come after us." Killua said, coming off as overconfident to the Prisoners.
Prisoner: "Hm... You're pretty confident aren't you?" The buff prisoner said while smirking thinking that he is way stronger than all of you.
Lippo: "Hm. Confident in your strength eh? How about this: For every hour the prisoners keep you occupied here, their sentences will be reduced by one year. In other words, their goal is to literally buy time." Lippo said while grinning.
Kurapika: "I understand. We're on the clock, and if we don't reach the goal of getting out of here in 72 hours, we fail. So, as you're fighting, remember: time is of the essence." Kurapika said to everyone, warning them to end their fights as fast as possible.
Prisoner: "Ok, I'm fighting whoever's first. Now, who's it gonna be?" The prisoner asked.
Killua: "Now what? He said to fight however we want, so I'm guessing that means anything goes." Killua says.
Leorio: "Everybody, be careful. No telling what they'll try to pull." Leorio warned.
Kurapika: "Without knowing what's up their sleeves, there's far too much at stake. Given that, I'll-" Kurapika then gets cut off by you.
Y/n: "No, I'll go." You cut Killua off as you headed toward the arena.
Kurapika: "Are you sure? This guy looks like trouble." Kurapika warned.
Y/n: "Just give me ten seconds." You said while stretching.
Y/n: "Gon, Hold this." You said as you tossed him the Inverted spear of heaven.
Kurapika: "But..." You then cut him off again.
Y/n: "Dont worry,

If you think you even have the *tiniest* idea as to what could make the novel even a tad better, please do not hesitate to tell me. MC is very OP, apologies if you don't like that, it's just one of my preferences. Once I am experienced, I will most likely do weak to strong or fantasy style novels.

Lesser Evil
In a perfect world, an alcoholic, hedonistic, mentally abusive individual like Audry Forge would never coincide with his attempts to stop the extinction of life. But there is no perfect world. There is no other person. Only the lesser of evils. Participant of the Royal Road Writathon challenge - 55k words Author's Note: This is story has been the easiest to write in my time of writing. I thoroughly enjoy it! You may not understand the premise in the first few chapters but need not worry buddy, I've been working ahead. Things will start rolling! I hope you enjoy it. Give me feedback and make sure to share it around! Other Info: Normally I wouldn't put any warnings but this story will be going down a pretty dark path (based on irl experiences) fairly early on. There will not be any overtly sexual content this early but some themes are suggestive. There is profanity. There are references to drugs and alcohol. There are dramatic relationships that I'm trying to base off of real life. There is more of a focus on characters. There will be unpleasant scenes in regards to death, while others will be brushed over. There will also be a fair amount of pop culture references too! Give it a try. You might like my form of storytelling!
