《A Twist to Our Futures (Killua X OCs X Gon)》Greed Island - Chapter 17

I glared at the three guys standing in front of us. The five of us had to stick with the plan, or else they would know that we were prepared for this.
"What do you want?" Killua coldly asked, looking daggers at them.
"Don't be so hostile. Let's just make a deal." Genthru offered.
"Why would we be interested in your little 'deal?'" I retorted.
"It's not a bad deal. It's so good, even Tsezguerra agreed to it."
"What is it?" Killua asked.
"Interested now?" The tall guy stepped forward, smirking.
"Hold it! Talk from where you are!" Gon commanded, and Genthru obeyed.
"It's quite simple. We'll beat the game on everyone's behalf, then everyone returns to the real world and splits Battera's reward." He briefly explained, and my eye twitched from hearing his lies.
"I won't believe that!" I scowled.
"We've had a little change of heart. And Tsezguerra and his team have already left the game." He stated.
"Yeah. But that doesn't prove that he agreed to your offer!" Killua countered.
"Yes, that's true. Then, now what? Do you want to die here?" Genthru sent us an ominous look, making me gasp sharply with terror.
"Shut up and hand over your cards! Otherwise, we'll have no choice but to kill you all!" He threatened, and we started running away.
"Finally showing your true colors, huh?" Killua yelled.
"Book!" Gon summoned his binder and took out a card.
"Accompany on! Soufrabi!"
We were taken by the light to the beach, and then we went back to the badlands before moving to a field.
"Return on! Masadora!" We all cast our Return spells, and we went to Masadora next.
We all hid in a bush and concealed our presences. The Bombers went to the Spell Card Shop, thinking that we were getting more spell cards.
We took the opportunity to get away while they were busy searching for us. But unfortunately, Genthru used another Accompany to teleport to us, and we turned around and ran away.
"Don't lose sight of them! We're out of Accompanies!" Genthru ordered his wingmen.
We continued running through the forest until all three Bombers surrounded us.
"Now, why don't you give up and hand over your cards?" Genthru adjusted his glasses and sneered at the five of us.
"No way! We'll never let you have them!" Gon yelled at him. "If you want our cards, come and get them!"
I tensed up. That foolish moron!
"Huh?! Damn it!" Killua growled and glared at the three Bombers.
Great. Now they have to fight us for our cards. We can't give them up. We'll make sure we beat them and win!
"Bisky! Get out of here!" The ex-assassin urged her.
"B-but I—" The blonde started, but Killua interrupted her.
"Just run! Girls, go with her!" He ordered us and ran away with the red-haired guy behind his tail.
"Right!" I nodded and followed Bisky along with Lizzy and the purple-haired guy.
"You're not getting away!" He began to chase the three of us as we separated from the others, leaving Gon to fight Genthru by himself for now.
I prayed inside my head that Gon could be strong enough to beat the crap out of Genthru and defend our cards.
"Book!" Bisky summoned her binder and took out a Pickpocket spell card, reverting it to an Accompany.
"Accompany on! Soufrabi!" She cast the spell, and the light took us to the beach with him. Lizzy and I were instructed not to fight him, as we needed to save our energy to fight the other Bombers, and that Bisky could handle it herself.

"I don't get it. Why would you go through all this trouble just to be alone with me?" The purple-haired guy asked.
"The reason is simple. I don't want you to ask any of your friends to come and help you." Bisky answered, her voice sounding contemptuous.
"Huh? What the hell are you talking about?"
"Idiot." The blonde turned around to face him. "I'm just sayin' that I'm stronger than you."
She charged forward and appeared behind him. She kicked the back of his neck, knocking him down. Then, she punched him in the head to try to knock him out. Lizzy and I stood still, not interfering with the battle.
"Why you little—" The guy was cut off by Bisky kicking his chin and then attacking him everywhere many times. He got pushed back by her last attack, and then he let out an evil chuckle.
"Your attacks are too weak! Too bad, 'cause you still can't beat me!" He sneered, his face showing bruises and blood coming out from his mouth.
Bisky charged forward again, but he slapped her, sending her flying and knocking her down.
"Bisky!" Lizzy and I yelled.
"I won't go easy on ya, so don't blame me when you get hurt! It's nothing personal." He ruffled his hair and smirked.
A laugh could be heard from where I was, and it was coming from the blonde.
"That's exactly what I'm going to say."
We noticed her body changing and her voice getting deeper, greatly astonishing us and the guy.
"I always let people get a hit in. Because when I turn back, I sometimes fail to control myself." She told him right before she punched his face, sending him flying.
"So I usually end up killing my opponents." She concluded as the guy landed on the ground, looking lifeless.
Lizzy and I couldn't believe our eyes. This woman was insanely powerful! Not only that, but she looked intimidating in that form. Her appearance had us aghast. For some inexplicable reason, she had that kind of power to change from a young girl to a big, buff woman.
The large and muscular blonde went to the nearly unconscious guy, our eyes locked on her.
"Oh, you're still alive? I'm impressed." She said in a gruff tone.
"Why would you...hide your power...if you're that strong?" The guy managed to ask.
"Two reasons. First, never show your hand. Second, I absolutely hate what I look like. I'm way too buff!" She explained. "Don't you agree?"
She eyed him and picked him up with one hand. "Guess he passed out."
My eyes and mouth were left wide open as well as Lizzy's from what we saw. The large blonde dropped the unconscious guy and looked at us with fierce eyes.
"Lizzy. Lynn." She spoke, her voice still deep. "Go on. Help them while I take care of him over here."
I was still astounded by her buff appearance, but I managed to nod. Lizzy and I ran away from her and summoned our binders to check our spell cards.
"I have no Accompany cards in here. Just a Magnetic Force." Lizzy pointed out.
"I have one Accompany, so we can use it to go to Genthru and fight him." I stated.
"No." She slowed down and stopped running, and I turned around to look at her.
"What?" I said.
"I'll go help Gon fight Genthru. You go help Killua fight that red-haired dude." She stated.

"Are you crazy? Genthru is really powerful and I'm not letting you fight him alone!" I argued.
"I am fighting him! Because..." She paused for a moment to gather her words to explain her reason. "I promised Gon...that I will always be by his side."
I was taken aback by her response, my eyes growing wide.
"I won't let him fight Genthru by himself, and I don't want to put you through much trouble for me, so let me fight Genthru with him. Please." She looked at me with pleading and determined eyes, hoping that I would accept her decision.
My mind was having trouble making up. She would end up going in the wrong direction if she kept being stubborn like that. I didn't want to lose her to that damn bastard, but I also didn't want to let our team down.
"You have to believe in her, and forget about the worst thing that will happen to her."
Killua's message played in my head, and I remembered the time when he told me that. There wouldn't be another reason why Bisky trained my sister when we had the time. I closed my eyes and sighed.
"Alright. I want you to be very careful, and whatever you do, don't let Genthru use his Little Flower on you. Okay?" I placed both hands on her shoulders and stared at her eyes.
She grew an energetic smile and nodded. I hugged her, and she did the same thing. We parted and shared one last moment together before Lizzy used Magnetic Force to transport herself to where Gon was.
I'm counting on you, Lizzy.
I gaped at the card I was holding and held it up in the air.
"Accompany on! Killua!"
The light took me away from Soufrabi and landed in a field where Killua and the red-haired guy were fighting. They turned to my direction, and the guy was shocked.
"Need a hand, snowball?" I grinned at the boy, and he parted his lips in a smile at the sight of me.
"Lynn!" He exclaimed, and the guy smirked at me.
"Wanna have some fun, girl?" He made a lunge at me, and I dodged his punch. I attempted to land a kick to his face, but he blocked it with both of his arms and launched a counterattack. I barely dodged, feeling a bit of pain on my right cheek.
He kept dealing lots of blows at me, and I blocked most of his attacks using my arms and legs. I kicked his stomach, which was unguarded, and lowered his guard down for a moment. Using the chance to strike, I jumped up and kicked his back, sending him flying. He landed on his feet and tried to attack me, but Killua interfered and used his Nen to stun him.
"This guy's strong." I commented.
"I got this." Killua pulled out a yo-yo, much to my surprise, and toyed with it.
What is he going to use that for?
"Let's go." The boy threw the yo-yo and aimed it at the guy, who dodged by ducking down. It hit a tree with so much force that the tree fell down.
"Damn." I muttered, mind blown by the scene.
"What's that thing made of?" The guy asked, sounding shocked.
"My brother's custom alloy. It weighs around 50 kilograms. It packs a real punch!" He stated, grinning and throwing the yo-yo at the guy again, and he dodged it. But he changed the trajectory and hit his chin, sending him flying.
I stared at the boy in awe, impressed by his tactics. He played around with his yo-yo as the guy recovered himself from his attack.
Killua swung his yo-yo one more time and the guy jumped up and threw a pebble at him, causing the yo-yo to slip out of Killua's arm. I gasped.
"Got ya!" The guy charged towards the boy and kicked his side very hard.
"Killua!" I shouted.
"Yes! Time to crush your ribs!" The guy snickered.
I was about to step in and help him, but then I noticed another yo-yo striking the guy on the head, knocking him down.
"Uh-oh. Did I forget to mention that I have two yo-yos?" Killua taunted, using the tree to swing himself back to him.
Amazed by his moves, I walked to the nearly knocked-out guy who was struggling to get up.
"Wow, you're still conscious? Hey old man, did you know that when you kick me, you raise up your guarding arm? It's like you're making your own blind spot." The boy stated, wrapping up the string of his yo-yos.
"Hang on. Then your blind spot..." The guy began, but Killua cut him off.
"Was a fake to make you kick me with your left leg."
"And when you released your first yo-yo?"
"Yeah. I knew you picked up something to throw at me."
"Why did you use Accompany to draw me away?"
"Oh, it's simple, really. We just want to make sure that you don't call any of your friends for help. I came here by using an Accompany I had to help my friend. None of you had any Accompanies left, so no hard feelings if you think that's unfair." I explained, crossing my arms.
"I don't believe it. That brat set three traps during that brief exchange." The guy reasoned.
"Three? You've gotta be joking!" Killua swung his yo-yos up in the air, smiling innocently. "Every move I made was a trap."
Both of his yo-yos hit the guy on the head, and the boy signaled me to use my ability. I nodded and conjured my four rings.
"Aqua Spritz!" I chanted as Killua used his electricity to stun the redhead, and a burst of water splashed him, causing the electricity to spike up. The guy screamed in agony, and was eventually knocked out.
We tied him up using one of the yo-yos and gave each other a high-five to celebrate our victory.
Now I just had to wait until Lizzy and Gon were done dealing with Genthru. I silently wished them good luck and that they both come out alive. I knew they could do this.
When I came to Gon's location, the fighting stopped for a moment, and Genthru frowned at my sudden appearance.
"How dare you interrupt my fight? Shouldn't you have your own business to deal with?" Genthru sent me a threatening glare.
"I'm already done with my business. Now, it's time for me to take you on!" I yelled, getting in a fighting stance.
"Tch. I have no time for any of your foolish games, brat!" Genthru charged at me, but I got out of the way and took out my baton to defend myself. I focused my aura in it and got ready to strike him as he was behind my tail.
When he was about to grab me, I jumped up and raised my baton to prepare my attack. I swung it, and Genthru blocked it with his arm. I landed beside Gon, who looked beaten up.
The blond grabbed my arm and Gon's, and I quickly remembered what I had to do to counter it.
"Gyo!" I shouted and Genthru used his Little Flower at around the same time. I successfully countered it, a bruise appearing on my arm.
He gritted his teeth and exchanged blows between us. I blocked most of them with my baton, and Gon countered with Gyo when Genthru grasped his arm again. But Genthru punched his stomach and sent him flying.
I widened my eyes and gasped, which caused Genthru to kick the back of my head while my guard was down for a moment. I got knocked down, and I strained to get up.
"What's wrong? Those were just simple blows. If you focus your aura where I grab you, you leave yourself open everywhere else. How pointless. It backfired on you." Genthru turned to me while I stood up, groaning from the pain. Then he turned to Gon, who only smiled despite taking a big hit.
"You won't be smiling much longer, boy!" He rushed towards Gon, who dodged to the side. The two continued dealing blows to each other while I was trying to find a way to catch him off guard so I could use my ability to manipulate him.
He grabbed his arm and punched his stomach again, but Gon broke free from his grasp and ran through the forest, with me going after him.
"You wanna know how you can be able to manipulate Genthru at just the right time? He'll think you are a nuisance and will do anything to get rid of you. You must not reveal anything about your abilities when attacking from a close range. Whenever you or Gon can restrain him, you can be able to manipulate him and force him to give up."
"Uh-huh."
"If you can't withstand his attacks, try to keep an eye out for any openings that will give you the chance. That way, you can attack without taking any damage and let yourself take the upper hand."
"Okay!"
I remembered Bisky's lesson when I was training with her. She also explained to me about how Genthru used Gyo when attacking with Little Flower, and that he would not use it if he were to attack somewhere else.
All of us stopped at a clearing, and me and Gon kept our distance from Genthru.
"I see. You knew from my Gyo? Clever." Genthru began preparing his attack, and I tensed up.
"Let me repeat myself. The shallow strategy you're using will backfire. If my Little Flower catches you when you're not using enough aura to defend, a hit to the face will blow off your eyes, nose, and mouth with no hope of repair. A hit to the arms or legs will incinerate your skin, severely damaging any nerves or muscle. You'll have no fingers or toes left."
I gripped my baton tightly, my breaths becoming uneven. My fear was beginning to take over me, my mind thinking that there was no way to defeat him.
"It's impossible to guard against all of my Gyo attacks using your Gyo. Now, what are you two gonna do? I'm not interested in continuing this. This fight has shown me something. You kids have talent and promising futures, filled with opportunities. Don't you think it's meaningless to throw all that away just for the sake of your pride?"
I knew he was getting irritated by Gon's stubbornness, and that he was determined to make us surrender. We had not shown our full strength yet, and we would make sure he paid for all the casualties he had caused.
"If you really feel this way, then you should give up, Genthru!" Gon yelled.
"Why would you fight us if you're not going to go all out on us? If you refuse to keep fighting, then I will certainly kick your ass!" I screamed and gritted my teeth in anger.
Genthru covered his mouth with one hand. "How unfortunate. Let me show you...that there are some things even worse than death." He stepped forward, preparing to use Little Flower on us.
"First, I'll blow up both of your arms. Use Gyo to protect the one you want to keep. Then, I'll blow up your remaining arm and a leg. Again, use Gyo to protect the one you want to keep. I'll keep going until you're out of limbs." He bitterly explained, and then turned to me. "And I'll do the same with you."
"Go ahead and try!" The boy demanded, and I whipped my head to him.
"Gon! The hell?" I grumbled and scowled.
"Alright." Genthru quickly grabbed his arms, showing a wide, evil grin on his face.
"Take this!" He used his Little Flower with both hands, and I couldn't tell what was going on until I saw something flying.
"Show me Rock!" Gon began to charge up his attack while Genthru was stunned by his aura. He tried to back away as the boy prepared his attack.
"Jan! Ken! Rock!!"
I noticed Genthru tripping on a rock as Gon attempted to land a hit on him using his ability. Then, I noticed the boy wincing in pain and jumping back.
As soon as I realized what happened, I was completely horrified. His hands...one of them was totally gone! And the other one had been severely injured.
I covered my mouth with both hands, my eyes wide as ever. That was the consequence of not using enough aura to defend oneself from Genthru's attacks.
He clutched his missing hand, feeling the extreme pain from the injury. Now that I had seen what happened, I didn't know if I could survive one of Genthru's attacks when trying to use my second ability on him. Hell, I might even end up like Gon, but with both of my hands gone.
"That's enough." The boy muttered, trying to bear the pain.
"Huh?" I questioned, pretending to be surprised in order to follow the plan.
"I'm done being selfish. Time to get serious! Come on, Genthru! Fight me!"
The blond guy was taken aback by his satisfaction, unaware of the plan our team came up with.
"Book!" Gon's binder was summoned, and the boy took out a card, which reverted to its original form using the Paladin's Necklace.
"This is your last chance to surrender. Once I convert this card, you could end up dying, so think carefully." He warned Genthru.
"You're clearly bluffing!" The blond retorted.
There was a moment of silence between them until Genthru summoned his binder.
"I give up. Obviously, you're never going to admit defeat. Take them." He gestured him to come forward, and I watched as Gon walked to the guy.
"But I do have one request. Could you leave me this card right here?" He asked, pointing at a card in his binder.
