《A Twist to Our Futures (Killua X OCs X Gon)》Greed Island - Chapter 6

"Cool! You've been an Examiner for the Hunter Exam?" Gon asked the female Pro Hunter.

"That's legit awesome!" Lizzy exclaimed.

"I'm not convinced that she's telling the truth." Killua replied, being impudent.

Bisky stepped up and pointed a finger at the silver-haired male's chest. "You sure are a stubborn little boy. I like seeing that in kids." She stepped back and placed her hands on her hips. "Now, you said you weren't desperate, right? Book."

We tensed at the sudden action. She pulled out a card, which was the same black puffball we tried to catch earlier. "Look carefully. Notice that the difficulty to obtain this card is ranked D. It is a normal card that doesn't go in a specified slot. The problem is that there are a lot of people who could have easily obtained the card while you four could not. If you run into someone who's stronger than you or someone who has evil intentions..." She let out a light gasp and kneeled down.

"Sit down. Pretend we're just chatting." She whispered, and we all kneeled down. "There's an enemy behind me."

We all listened while we were wary of our surroundings. "Don't try to sense him out. He'll notice us." She said, darting her glance behind her.

"How did you sense him?" Killua asked.

"He let a tiny bit of his bloodlust out. The enemy let it slip for a second, because he was not threatened by children." She stated.

"He must be weak since he let it slip."

"But he almost immediately concealed his presence again. It was the slightest amount of bloodlust, and he quickly concealed it, which is a swift reaction, so he's very experienced." She explained.

Killua thought for a second, then looked up to see her. "What should we do?"

The blonde dispelled her book. "What do you think?"

"All of us should stick together." Gon suggested.

"And why is that?"

"Since there are five of us here, I'm guessing that's the reason why he tensed up again. If all of us stick together, he'll think twice before attacking us." He explained.

"I agree." Killua replied.

"Yeah." I said, and Lizzy nodded.

"Well, you're right. But that's not what we're going to do." Bisky firmly asserted, which had us stunned and confused. "If I go off on my own, the enemy is almost guaranteed to go after me. So, I go south and you four go north. Walk about five hundred meters without concealing your presences. Aim for that pillar right there." She gestured to the tall pillar that was on the north. "Once you get there, use Zetsu, and then rush back immediately!"

"Okay, stalking the stalker." Killua remarked, and Bisky slapped him so hard that it left a red mark on his cheek. Gon, Lizzy, and I awkwardly stared at her, our eyes small as buttons.

"Fine! Be that way, you big dumbo!" She yelled, pissing him off. She stood up and started walking away. "I've had enough! I'm leaving!"

"Yeah, get lost! And don't come back, you hear me? Come on Gon, girls. Let's go." He urged us, and I realized what we were doing.

So we're acting, huh? Good plan.

I stood up and moved along with them to the pillar.

"So long, idiot!" The silver-haired male shouted. Now that the four of us, plus Bisky, had separated, the enemy would most likely target Bisky.

"That woman...is pretty amazing." Killua said.

"Huh?" Gon tilted his head in confusion, as well as Lizzy.

"I was on full alert, so I'd be ready for anything. Even so, I didn't realize what she'd done until my cheek was stinging."

"I was surprised for a second, until I realized it was an act to get the enemy to go after Bisky." I stated.

We had reached the pillar after a long time walking. We then activated Zetsu and did as Bisky told us.

"Now that we got here, let's go back." I said.

"Yeah!" Lizzy nodded, and we all started running back to where Bisky and the enemy are.

We saw them in a crater and hid behind the rocks. I cringed when I saw the red-haired guy eating one of Bisky's pigtails that he cut off. I heard everything about his ability, to eat someone's hair and learn everything about their body.

The guy wanted to spar with Bisky, so he took off his belt and got in a fighting stance. We watched as he dashed forward only to get flipped over and pushed back by Bisky. I widened my eyes at her unbelievable strength.

"You were very lucky. In a Nen battle, I would've killed you." Bisky said to the fallen guy. "During the fight, what did you see first?" She asked us as we came out from our hiding spot.

"The guy being flipped through the air." Gon answered.

"Me too." Killua replied.

That woman sure is powerful. Her opponent himself isn't that weak.

"If he were an in-game character, he'd have a difficulty ranked D. In other words, an instant game over for you boys and girls. That makes it the second time I've seen you barely escape from the hands of death." Bisky explained. "How long will your luck last?"

"Hey Ms. Bisky?" Gon spoke up.

"Just call me Bisky. But if you insist on using honorifics, you can call me Lady Bisky." She spoke in a girly tone.

"I think I'm still gonna call you 'Hag.'" Killua mumbled, and hearing that, Bisky punched him high in the air, feeling offended.

"Why are you here, Bisky?" Gon asked.

"Well, I came here to clear the game, but I'm also looking for a jewel." She grinned.

"A jewel? Which one?" Lizzy asked.

"It's one that can only be found here in Greed Island. It's specified slot 81, called Blue Planet."

"Blue Planet. Sounds interesting. I wonder if Grandma Millie knows about it too." She placed a finger on her chin, smiling with curiosity. "I wonder if she even played Greed Island before."

"Wait, do you know Millie Azrelt?" Bisky asked her.

"Yeah, of course I do! She's my grandmother!" She beamed.

"We lived with her since both of our parents died." I started explaining. "She used to be a Stone Hunter, collecting the most beautiful and shiny gemstones and crafting jewelry out of them. She took care of us back in our home in Dolphin Island. Lizzy and I love her so much, and we couldn't have been much more happier when we were together."

"Oh, wow! So Millie did become a grandmother, huh? Well, I used to collect gemstones with her about twenty years ago before you girls were born. I was her old friend back then. She told me everything about the jewelry she crafted and all." Her pink eyes landed on the bracelet Lizzy got from Gon back when we were at Heavens Arena. "Oh my gosh. It's so sparkly! Where did you get this?"

My orange-haired sister rubbed the back of her neck, smiling sheepishly. "Oh, Gon bought me this bracelet. It's valuable and very expensive, but it's worth it to make me feel happy."

The blonde held back the urge to squeal, thinking about something obvious that was going on. "Crafted with real diamonds, making it very genuine. I hope he really does care about you." She softly spoke, observing the bracelet.

Lizzy chuckled, a slight red hue on her cheeks. Bisky then took a look at the necklace Grandma Millie gave us back home. "And he gave you the necklace, too?" She asked.

"No, Grandma Millie crafted it using her favorite kind of gemstones she found years ago. She made two for me and Lynn to keep."

"Ah, so it must be yellow garnets and grey tourmalines. How remarkable." The blonde smiled and looked up at us. "I'm really glad I get to meet you two."

"The same goes for me and my sister. I would not lie if I say this is coincidental. Grandma Millie would've told me more about you. I guess I couldn't say that you were older than her back then." I gently spoke, feeling happy to meet an old friend of Grandma Millie.

"With your grandma in her 60s now, she and I stand apart by a ten year gap. She's probably retired now, but I'm still as good as when I was twenty years ago. You really are witty." She remarked. "Anyway, how about you? Why did you come here?"

"We're here to clear the game, obviously." Killua replied, rubbing the area where Bisky punched him.

"Actually, my dad and his friends made this game." Gon stated.

"Really?" The blonde curiously asked.

"I'm looking for him, so I thought this game might have a clue on where he is right now."

"Who's your dad?"

"His name is Ging Freecss." Gon told her, and she was shocked by hearing this intriguing fact. "Ging? Seriously?" She slightly shouted.

"Do you know him?"

"Of course I do! He's famous!" She exclaimed. "Chairman Netero used to say he's among the top five Nen users in the entire world!"

I wonder if Dad was strong in terms of Nen. I've barely knew anything about my parents other than the fact that they died eight years ago. They could be powerful, but not powerful enough to stop the Phantom Troupe. I have avenged them along with my sister, and we will grow stronger.

"Bisky, if you'd be willing to postpone your treasure hunt, please teach us Nen. We'd be honored for you to do so." Gon begged her to train all of us.

"So, you've finally come around? I'm a lot harder than Wing, so you better be ready." She asserted, pointing directly at us.

"I am!" Gon exclaimed, raising a hand.

"Me too! I want to become stronger than ever!" Lizzy cheered.

"Whatever it takes to help us clear the game." I replied.

"I'll be fine." Killua bluntly said.

The red-haired guy began to cough uncontrollably, waking up from his unconscious state.

"Hurry. Take out all your cards." Bisky demanded, and he obeyed, summoning his binder and showing her his cards.

"I'm going to give you one chance. Evade their attacks successfully for two weeks! If you do, I'll let you go. However, if you're knocked unconscious or can't stand up anymore, I'll kill you." She explained, her tone sounding serious.

"So, I'll just have to avoid their attacks, right? It doesn't matter what I do to them?" The red-haired guy looked at us with a creepy and insane face, making me and Lizzy shudder.

"But there's one rule: You aren't allowed to leave this crater under no circumstances. If you break this rule, you lose and I'll kill you."

"What about us?" Killua asked.

"The same rules apply. If you leave, or if you fail to defeat him after two weeks, you will be punished." She told us, and then turned to the guy. "You're the Bounty Hunter Binolt, aren't you?"

"Yeah." The guy named Binolt stood up and put his belt back on.

"He's also a bounty himself. He's a brutal murderer." Bisky added.

Binolt took out a pair of scissors and toyed with it, smiling evilly.

"Now, begin!" She announced, raising her arm high in the air.

It was already morning, and we tried to attack Binolt, but we couldn't even get close to him. He repelled us with his scissors, and he was trying to recover from his wounds he got from Bisky.

"What are you waiting for? Are you going to let him heal his wounds? Get moving!" Bisky shouted from above the crater.

Killua rushed towards him, and Binolt swiped his scissors at his face. I swiftly turned my head to him and saw a cut right under his eye.

Gon took a chance to attack him, but Binolt pointed his scissors at his face, making him jump back.

Lizzy and I ran forward and tried to attack him simultaneously, but the guy spun around with his scissors in front of him. They slashed my left arm when I held it in front of my face to prevent losing my eyes. We jumped back to avoid his attacks.

"Guys! Let's make this a battle of attrition!" Killua shouted.

"Attrition? What does that mean?" Lizzy shouted back.

"You three should get some rest. I'll stay here and keep an eye on him, and use these rocks to attack. We'll switch every six hours." He explained.

"Rocks? Good idea." Gon walked to a boulder and activated his aura. I watched as he punched it and broke it into smaller pieces. He picked one up and jumped up to perform a slam with the rock. Binolt quickly moved out of the way.

"That's right! You kids can't beat him in an endurance test!" Bisky shouted.

"Makes sense." Killua picked up a big chunk of the boulder, and I went to pick one up too. It was a little heavy, but I managed to use it as a shield to block Binolt's dangerous attacks. Lizzy tried to pick one up, but it was way too heavy for her to carry. Using all of her strength, she threw it at Binolt. It barely got close to reaching him. He snickered at her weakness.

Over half a day had passed, and not one of us was tired yet. Even Lizzy was still standing after carrying a ton of rocks and throwing them at the criminal. The crater was filled with lots of rocks we had thrown at him.

I hid behind a rock and threw a pebble at Binolt, catching his attention. Killua went for the offensive, and Binolt kept him back with his scissors. I heard Gon yell before smashing his rock, blinding the guy and pushing him back, and I took a chance to attack him using my earth ring. He was launched in the air after being hit with the stones. This gave Killua the opportunity to finish him off.

"Well, looks like it's game over for you, old man." The silver-haired boy drew his fist back to punch him, but Gon stopped him. "Stop Killua!"

The ex-assassin jumped back under his demand. "Why did you stop me, Gon?"

"We still have plenty of time. Let's keep going until we can deal with him one on one."

"Huh?"

"Stopping now would be a waste of time. We're all in top form now."

Binolt chuckled. "Idiot. It's my turn. I'll cut you to pieces!"

"Okay, but let's continue tomorrow. I can tell that you're slowing down, so you should probably get some rest." Gon, being an innocent child, stated.

Even though he can be dense sometimes, he thinks what's best for both himself and others. I assume Lizzy likes that part of him. Not a single thing about him can make her feel discouraged.

I sat down across from Lizzy as all of us, including Binolt, were taking a break from fighting. I dozed off, me unaware that my head landed on something as soft as a cloud. The person sleeping next to me huffed and wrapped an arm around my waist. Their hold was comfortable, so comfortable that I never wanted to wake up again. It totally surprised someone else who was awake from a nightmare.

Ten days had passed, and all of us had improved our agility and speed, as well as our endurance. Binolt had been dodging all of our attacks, including Lizzy's Manipulation ability, which allowed her to control a rock using her mind. After using it as a bluff, she was able to land a hit on him by kicking him in the gut.

Killua, Lizzy, and I saw Gon punch Binolt's stomach after he spaced out for a second. We smiled at the sight of it.

"Enough already. There's no way I can beat you. Just kill me." Binolt kneeled down and admitted defeat.

"Why would we kill you? You've helped us improve. Thank you, Mr. Binolt." Gon bowed down, showing respect for the wanted criminal.

"You may go." Bisky told the red-haired guy as he took off his belt in which he held his scissors.

"I'll go turn myself in." Binolt started to walk away, leaving behind his belt.

Gon waved him goodbye, the rest of us watching as he left the area. If it weren't for Bisky stepping in to fight Binolt for us before we did, we would have been turned into mincemeat by now. But I was grateful that she made him fight us for our training.

"Alright! Let's head for Masadora!" The blonde announced, holding up a finger. I quickly realized what she was doing and activated Gyo.

"9!" Lizzy and I shouted in unison.

"The number 9!" The boys followed along.

"You boys are too slow! Give me three thousand push-ups!" She ordered.

"Damn it!" They groaned as they started doing their push-ups. Lizzy snorted, unable to contain her laughter.

"This ain't funny, Lizzy!" Gon whined and formed a pout, making her giggle and laugh more.

"Yeah, it's not our fault that we got stuck in this mess! You think you're better than us, idiot!" Killua insulted her. She stopped laughing and grew angry. All of a sudden, her foot stepped on his head, making him cry out in pain. The silver-haired male screamed and flailed his arms and legs like crazy.

"That's enough. Let him go." I sternly spoke, taking a step forward. She huffed and removed her foot from his head. Killua snarled and continued his push-ups.

"Seventy kilometers to go and probably 3 hours until we reach Masadora. Should be a breeze." Bisky placed her hands on her hips, smiling condescendingly.

"Seriously?" The boys and Lizzy yelled out, and I groaned. What did this woman think we were? I could assume that Wing went through similar training, and that she would push him to his limits.

Who knew how long we would have to stay under her gruesome training? If we planned on clearing the game, she would be essential to improve our strength. I knew we could make it through together, stronger than ever.
