He was speechless. She just called him Dad. He took a deep breath,"Belle?" He asked with a shaky voice. Was it really his little belle? She took a stepp closer towards him and hesitated before she slowly wrapped her arms around his neck. She nodded vigorously in his neck as she sobbed in her Dad's arms.
His shaking hands wrapped around her, pulling her tighter to him. His body started shaking as she felt something wet on her shoulder. She took a sniff at his familiar scent making her feel at home. She heard him sniff. Her dad's reaction made her cry even more. They couldn't believe they found each other after all these years.
Isabella never believed that he was dead, never. She couldn't and didn't want to believe it. She wanted to believe that he is still alive out there and she would find him, someday. She is grateful that he is alive. He is the only family member she has, except her sweet, Kennan.
John couldn't believe he was holding his little belle in his hands. He though that she died alone with his beloved wife.
He pulled back slightly and dragged her to the couch were took her hands in his as he looked at her with bloodshot eyes. He asked her with a crooked voice where was she, what happened, how was she. Isabella signed before she talked. She told him everything. She told him about that night what happened and how she ended up in the place as a maid. She also told him about the attack and how she met Kenna when he asked her.
When she was done, he was tearing up again. " I'm so sorry! It's my fault that you have been through all this. If I had found you sooner, if I hadn't left that day, we wouldn't be apart. It's all my fault. I lost so much. I wasnt there with you, for you. You had to grow up so fast, my belle. I'm so sorry! I'm a horrible father!" He cried out as he broke down in front of her. He felt weak and disappointed in himself.
Isabella felt her heart sting at his words and felt her tears on her cheeks as she looked at her dad. He looked so valuable and depressed. She shook her head,"It's not you fault, dad. Please don't blame yourself, you did and still do whatever you can. You never stopped looking for me and that's enough for me. You are an amazing father! I love so much, dad." She hugged again. She rubbed his back, trying to calm him down.
After a couple of minutes, she could feel his shaking stopping and relax. He moved back, wiping his tears as he laughed, looking a little embarrassed.
"How did you end up here, dad?" She asked changing the subject, feeling curious yet scared to find out.
He looked at her and smiled a little melancholic. He didn't hide anything from her. He told her what happend after that eventful night.

He recalled every in his head, that night he was the first to leave the house, adrenaline kicking in, he grabbed his sword and run around their house, protecting his family. He didn't notice Anna leaving from the back door with a sleepy and confused belle. It was late when he walked inside and didn't find them.
He panicked as he though the worst. He run around the village, killing whoever tried to get in his way. He couldn't find them anywhere. He was crying from frustration as he couldn't stop shaking.
Later that night, when they had left, leaving a destroyed village behind them. He walked in the woods, not caring if it was dangerous. He just didn't care. As he stumbled around the woods, he found a dead body. It was a women. He approached cautiously, he looked at the dry blood around her before he rolled his eyes to her face.
He felt his knees hit the ground hard but the pain wasn't as hard as the pain he felt in his heart. Fresh tears started falling uncontrollably down his cheeks. He moved closer to her and grabbed her cold hand softly.
He pulled her hand to his face as his body shook unstoppable . He cried his eyes out. He stopped when he didn't have more tears. He looked at her face one last time before he got up, promising to himself to come back for her. Now, he had to find their belle.
He got up and started looking for her. He looked for hours and hours but no luck. It was morning when he returned back to his wife, tired, disappointed and sad. He decided to stop for now and start again in a couple of hours.
He took a shovel, that he found in the first house he jumped into when he returning back to their house. He dig a hole the back of their house in the garden. He knew how much she loved her garden and thankfully it wasn't completely destroyed.
He dig a big hole before he picked her up and softly place her in. He brushed her hair of her face, smiling. He put the dirt on of her.
He signed exhausted as he threw the shovel on the ground. He sat down and laid back as his back was killing him. He could feel his eyes staring to close as he tried to keep them open since he wanted to continue searching for his daughter. He failed and sleep took over his body.
He woke up hours later with the sun hitting his face. He narrowed his eyes as he placed a hand in front of his face, blocking the sun. He looked around for a minute trying to remember what happened and his heart hurt when everything came back.
He immediately got up as he remembered that his daughter was still missing. He looked at the place he buried his wife promising to both of them to find her at all costs.
He looked for days. He could feel himself staying to doubt as the days passed without a trance of her. One day he found a small village like theirs. This, though looked alive. Kids were laughing ladly as they chased each other while their parent were cuddle up together watching out for them.

He quickly looked away as memories of his family popped up in his head. He wished they were like this. He wished he could turn back the time where his wife was still alive and his daughter not missing.
He saw a young boy sitting in the end of an alley. He frowned as he approached him. He could see him better now that he was closer. The boy looked at least twelve years old. He clothes were ripped and dirty. He looked alone and a little sad but he tried to hide it.
He heard someone moving towards him and immediately tensed as he got up. He spotted him and moved back. John stopped as he noticed that. He tried to reassure him and calm him down and eventually after a lot of tries, the little boy relaxed.
He sat back down wrapping his small hands around himself as he shivered. It was chilly outside and the boy wore a thin shirt. He took his jacket off and gently wrapped it around him. The boy looked up at him a little shocked at his action since no one treated him with kindness for a long time. John gave him a soft smile before he sat down keeping a distance from him, since the boy didn't trust him completely.
The time they stayed there, they talked. They boy was hesitating in the beginning but, eventually gave in. John satyed with the child and told him what happened and the boy did the same. That boy was Kennan. Kennan helped him look for belle but they didn't found her. At their journey, Kennan kept gathering more and more men with him.
John was like a father to him. He didn't let anyone hurt him. He was protective of the older since he was by his side for so many years. He talked to him when he was sad or angry or when he felt like he wanted to just talk. John was there, listening to him and advising him, like a father would do.
After a couple of months, they found a unmarked territory and they decided to settle there. Some of them, started building their own houses. John was a doctor and he would help whoever needed medical care, without asking for money. Everyone loved him. He was amazing at his jobs and knew a lot of things. He was really smart and wise.
Isabella had cried again, in the middle of his story but then, calmed herself down, she thought she was pregnant and crying so much wasn't good.
They just sat there and talked for hours not noticing that it was getting dark. They talked about everything that came into their minds. They started building their father-daughter bond, once again. They didn't talk about the past and just pretend like it never happened since they wanted to move on with their lives.
Isabella gasped as she looked at the clock on the wall, it was past ten and Kennan would be home by now. She asked if John could take her home, since she was scared in the dark alone. He agreed as he followed her outside the building.
Kennan must be so worried. They walked fast and in at least five minutes they were standing outside the tend. Isabel thanked her dad and promised to go see him again. He smiled excitedly, gave her a kiss on her forehead and said his goodbyes.
She walked in and immediately spotted a furious and worried Kennan. He was pacing back and forth. His gaze fell on her as soon as he raised his face. He hurriedly run to her as he looked at her with a furious look.
He grabbed her forearms and shook her a little,"Where the heck where you, huh? Do you know how long I have been waiting for you? Do you know how worried I was? I though something happened and I wasn't here to protect you! "He yelled irritated.
She lowered her head in shame as she felt guilty for making him worried." I'm sorry." She apologized in a sad voice.
He stared at her for a minute before he sighed, pulling her in his warm embrace." You don't have to apologize. I'm sorry for reacting like that, little one. I just got back early and you were nowere to be seen. I though the worst. I though I lost you." He whispered as he though his heart stopped at the though of something happening to his precious girl. He wouldn't handle it.
She signed in content as a shiver run down her spine at his touch. She wrapped her hands around his waist tightly before she placed a kiss on his chest. She felt him relax in her arms making her smile at the effect she had on him.
"I'm fine. I'm here. "She whispered softly. He rocked them back and forth making her laugh. His heart skipped a beat at her sweet laught. He would do anything to hear her laugh. They stayed like that for some minutes before she signed, moving back a little to look at him better.
"Kennan, I have to tell you something." She said, suddenly serious. He frowned confused as he hadn't seen her serious before and he didn't know if he will like what she wanted tell him.
She closed her eyes, taking deeb breath before opening her eyes again. She could hear her heart beating fast in her ears. He was patiently waiting for her to speak.
"I was at the doctor today," he nodded waiting for her to continue but she didn't miss the concert in his eyes, she continued,"I told him what I had been feeling and he decided to run some test and..."Her voice got quiter, he raised his eyebrows.
"I'm-I'm pregnant." She finally said.
