Tristan's POV

Lilith was gonna meet me outside of my house so that if my father answered the door, he'd see for himself that I am going to be the son he wants. I've been waiting for her for 10 minutes before she finally shows up parking behind me.

"Hey, Tris," she says when we begin to walk up the driveway.

"Hey, Lilith," I smile at her, but it's fake. I feel uneasy. I don't know why. I knock on the door and hold her hand. Mother opens it.

"Hello, honey." She says bringing me into her arms.

"Hi, mom. Is dad here?" I ask. She nods.

"I told him you were coming so he should be down in a minute." She says after inviting us in and shutting the door once we've entered.

"Did you tell him about Lilith and I?" I ask with hopeful eyes and another fake smile. She looks at me sadly, why?

"Uh, I, um, yes I did." She smiles. A tear falls down her cheek and she notices. "Um, please go sit. Dinner's almost ready and Theresa is waiting for you both." She leaves wiping away her tears. Seeing mother cry like that makes me wonder if this is what she wants me to do. She told me all she cares about is my happiness, and I know right now lying to myself and them isn't making me happy.

"Hey baby brother," Theresa says once Lilith and I enter the kitchen. She engulfs Lilith and I in a hug as she sits us down and pours us some water.

"How was school?" Theresa asks once she's sat down.

"It was fine, just glad today's Friday," I say. Mother and father enter, mother holding the pan of lasagna and father glaring at me, until his eyes land on Lilith. He smiles, half relieved-half suspicious.

"Who is this?" he asked. I gulped nervously. Lilith spoke for me.

"I'm Lilith, Tristan's girlfriend. You must be his father," she holds her hand out to shake my father's and he accepts.

"I am," when he says that I try to hold back tears of joy and relief.

"Well now I know where he gets his looks from," she smiles. Dad lets out a flattered chuckle. Lilith always knows how to charm her way into people's hearts. We had a lovely dinner and laughed and talk about each other's day. It seemed like everything was normal again.

"Uh, may Tristan and I be excused?" Lilith asked making my eyebrows frown in confusion. Father nodded his head. Lilith thanked him and took my hand leading us upstairs. "Where's your bedroom?' she asked. I started getting nervous.

"T-t-t to the l-left," I am a stuttering mess. She smirks and opens my door, closing it behind us once we're in. "so what's up?' I ask trying to be calm. She walks towards me and puts her hands on my chest.

"Just wanted to spend time with you," she says lowly. I let out a nervous laugh.

"Cool," I say. She pushes me on my bed and straddles my waist. "Whoa, w-what are you doing?" I ask in a whisper not wanting my parents to come up and see us doing whatever this is. She pulls out her phone and sends a text to someone before throwing it aside.

"I'm doing what I've always wanted to do," she says as she kisses me. Her eyes are closed as mine are open. Her phone keeps vibrating and vibrating.

"Sh-shouldn't you get that," I ask.

"No," she says as she nips at my neck. I'm so uncomfortable.

"It could be important,"

"Not really," she says as she shoves her hands down my pants.

I sit up abruptly, "Whoa, whoa, whoa what are you doing?'

"What do you mean?" she asks innocently.

"My parents are right downstairs and I, I—don't believe in sex before marriage." She gives me that glare that says 'you're not fooling anyone'.

"Tristan, if you wanna prove to your father than you've changed, this is the best way to show him. Having sex with a girl will make him see that you aren't gay anymore." I take her words into consideration. I know I won't enjoy it, for more than one reason, but maybe I can make myself enjoy it. Her phone is still vibrating and she groans before shutting it off.

"What d'ya say, Tris? Wanna fuck?" she asks. I can't form words so I just nod. She smiles before laying me back down and kisses my neck.

Damon's POV

"I just, don't understand, ya know? Why does he feel the need to please his father?" I ask my parents. My parents and I have become really close ever since I came out. I can literally tell them anything. They know I've had sex with guys and they know our plan for Tristan. Ma sighs looking at my Pa for help.

"Well Damon, when you're a part of a family with values like Tristan's, you always feel the need to get approval from everybody. To them it's all about succeeding in life and always sticking to the book,"

"But why though? Why do they feel this way? Don't they know they can live their own life without sticking to the book so closely?' Ma frowns.

"It's because of how they were raised, son. When you're told the same thing over and over again your entire life, you start to believe that's the way things are supposed to be." I let out a sigh as I get a text from Lilith. My eyes widen as I read it.

"Son,"

"What's wrong?"

"I-I need to stop her," I say.

"Stop who?" Ma asks.

"Lilith, she's not sticking to the plan!" I grab my jacket and send a group text to Charlotte and the others.

"Alright, we're coming with you." Pa says. I tell them, no this is my fight.

"Well if anything happens to you it'll be our fight too, all we want is your happiness, son." Ma tells me. I nod and head out as they follow behind me. I tell them to follow me to Tristan's house as Charlotte agrees to meet me there too. I look at Lilith's text again and throw my phone in the backseat.

*plans changed. Im doin it noW*

All that matters is making sure Tristan doesn't break.
