《Prisoner 345 {the 100}》Chapter 11: I Am Become Death

Currently everyone was waiting for Clarke etc to come back. Yesterday a drop ship from the Ark exploded.
I was sitting next to Octavia when a kid started speaking. "Hey, any signs of your brother and the others yet?"
"Hey, I don't care.", Octavia sassed back. Then her eyes focused on something. I couldn't make out what, though.
"Jasper, tell us again.", I heard Harper say. Ever since Jasper's shooting fight yesterday everyone thinks he's a hero and he is going up in it too much. At least that's mine and Octavia's opinion.
"How'd you stay so calm? I would've been terrified.", Harper said impressed.
"Fear's only a problem if you let it stop you.", He answered exactly quoting Finn.
"That's not even his line.", I told Octavia rolling my eyes.
"I know. Finn said that.", She answered also rolling her eyes. Me and her had become really close. She was like a sister to me.
"When I saw the Grounder's in the trees, it was like nothing I ever felt. You know, pure animal instict took over.", Jasper told everyone. "One pull off the trigger, two Grounders dead."
"Pure animal instinct? More like pure pants-wetting panic.", Octavia said. I couldn't help but snort at that comment.
"You don't know what you're made of until a moment when it's killed or be killed. There's just nothing between you and the tip of a spear.", Jasper said.
"Okay, this has to stop.", Octavia said and I nodded, agreeing with her.
"Oh, come on. Let us have this.", Monty said.
"Us?", I asked him confused.
"Look at him. My boy's a folk hero. They even gave us a bigger tent.", Monty told us.
Suddenly I heard a weird sound.
"Somebody hit the trip wire!", I heard someone yell.
"Is it a Grounder?", I heard someone else yell.
Everyone kept talking like that and I looked at Octavia. Someone just pulled the trigger two times. What the hell?

"I think I got him.", Someone said.
"Lincoln.", Octavia whispered.
Me, Connor and Octavia ran outside of camp. I walked behind Octavia and Connor walked behind me.
"Octavia, be careful.", Connor said concerned.
We saw a body laying in front of us. Octavia went to touch it but the person yelled. He turned around. I saw a face I never wanted to see again.
"Murphy?", Octavia said. Thank you, captain obvious. Octavia walked over to him. "Someone help me carry him."
"What? No way, he's banished.", I told Octavia. That person almost killed me.
"We can't just leave him here like this, he'll die.", Octavia said. I couldn't believe she was actually planning on letting him back into camp.
"I don't care!", I yelled and I walked back to camp. Murphy was going to ruin everything again, I was sure.
————-
We stood inside of the drop ship. Everyone looking at Murphy when Bellamy walked in.
"Where is he?", He asked and saw Murphy. "Everyone but Connor and Derek out.", He demanded but I didn't move. "Now!"
"He claims he was with the Grounders. We caught him trying to sneak into camp.", Connor spoke up.
"I wasn't sneaking. I was running from the Grounders.", Murphy said.
"Anyone see Grounders?", Bellamy asked.
"No one saw Grounders. He's just lying so we won't kick him back out.", I told Bellamy and he nodded.
"Well, in that case.", He held up his gun to Murphy.
"What the hell is wrong with you?", Finn said.
"We knew what would happen if he returned.", Bellamy said and I agreed. But we shouldn't kill him, though. Just kick him back out.
"No, if he was with the Grounders, he knows things that can help us.", Finn said standing in between Murphy and the gun.
"Help us? We hanged him, we banished him and now we're gonna kill him. Get the hell out of my way.", Bellamy said.

"We can just kick him back out.", I suggested.
"No, Finn's right.", Clarke spoke up. That's not true. Murphy should be kicked out.
"Like hell he is. Clarke. Think about Charlotte.", I raised my voice as Clarke walked over to Murphy.
"I am thinking about her. But what happened to Charlotte was as much our fault as his.", Clarke said and I couldn't believe what she just said.
"Our fault?", I asked her.
"He almost killed Aaliyah too.", Bellamy said defending me.
"Everybody deserves a second chance.", Clarke said.
"Whatever. I can't listen to this crap anymore.", I said furious and walked out of the drop ship.
A few minutes later Bellamy walked over to me.
"What happened with him?", I asked Bellamy, referring to Murphy.
"Clarke wants him to stay until he tells us everything, then we kick him out.", Bellamy said.
"Like hell we are. He doesn't even deserve a treatment of Clarke. I will throw him out myself if I have too.", I told Bellamy.
"Calm down, kid. You're going to have to stick with this.", Bellamy said. I started coughing, heavily. I held my hand in front of my mouth and I saw I was coughing up blood.
"What the hell.", I said looking at Bellamy but I felt really dizzy.
"Aaliyah? Are you okay?", He asked me but I couldn't answer. He lifted me up and ran to the drop ship.
He yelled for someone and Clarke walked over to us.
"Oh my god, Aaliyah. Lay her down somewhere.", Clarke demanded Bellamy.
"Here, come on. She can take mine.", I heard Murphy say. Was I supposed to feel grateful now?
"Bellamy, get out. I don't want you to get sick either.", Clarke demanded Bellamy. He looked at me and I gave him a nod. He walked out of the drop ship. Finn walked in along with Octavia.
"Lincoln told me the virus doesn't last long.", Octavia told Clarke as she walked over to me.
Octavia held my hand.
"It's true.", Murphy spoke up. "I feel better."
Suddenly Clarke didn't feel good either and she also had to lay down.
"They need to stay hydrated.", I heard her tell Finn.
"You need to stay hydrated.", Finn told her.
I heard Octavia say something and then I heard Murphy say "I'll help you." Whatever he did, he better didn't do anything near me. I felt so tired and darkness took over me.
—————
I woke up feeling the urge to puke and I did but it was blood and it was disgusting. I would puke from the fact I was puking blood.
"Hey, lay on your side.", Murphy walked over to me trying to help me lay on my side but I slapped his hands away. I puked and when I was done I looked at him.
"Get the hell away from me,", I told him. I actually felt better after my puke-session. I sat up and tried to stand.
"Sit down, what the hell are you doing? You're sick, I'm just trying to help.", Murphy told me.
"I said, get the hell away from me.", I told him.
"Here.", He offered me a towel but I used my sleeve.
"When I get better and you're still here-", I started but Clarke cut me off.
"Hey. I got her.", She told Murphy. She handed me some water.
"Are you feeling better?", I asked her.
"Yeah. You, try to get better soon.", She told me and I nodded, closing my eyes again.
————-
The next morning we were all standing outside. Raven had built a bomb they were going to let explode at a bridge the Grounder's had to cross to get to us so we would win more time.
We heard something explode and saw a huge gray cloud of fog forming.
"They did it.", Bellamy said.

Divine Progress
Progress is a dubious god. After failing him, three people are banished from modern times and sent to another world. Seemingly out of place, Christoph is snatched from his own time and plunged into a world of violence and magic with no deity to lend him support. Instead, Progress has seen fit to curse him with an eternal hunger for magical energy. Branded as a demon, he must fight for survival while battling the servants of the god who sent him there, struggling against the 'gift' that Progress bestowed upon him and the past he sought to abandon. Can he make his way across the lands and gather enough strength to survive without the blessings of the Divine? Or will the gods bend him to their will, breaking him if he seeks to resist? This is not a short story, and the plot will take many twists and turns before Christoph's journey comes to a close. After all, it is not the destination, but the Progress that matters in the end. Like many other stories on RoyalRoad, this is my first piece. Feedback is more than welcome, so please leave a reply if you have a comment or question.

The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde
It is about a London lawyer named Gabriel John Utterson who investigates strange occurrences between his old friend, Dr Henry Jekyll, and the evil Edward Hyde. The novella's impact is such that it has become a part of the language, with the very phrase "Jekyll and Hyde" coming to mean a person who is vastly different in moral character from one situation to the next.------------I do not own or did not write this story. It is a copy of Original Book that I have uploded to help spread the book to wider audiences. Hope you enjoy.
