《Prisoner 345 {the 100}》Chapter 10: Unity Day ✯

I was looking at a screen where Chancellor Jaha was talking crap about Unity Day. Jasper ran towards us with a tank filled with juice.
"Whoo, yeah. Monty strikes again!", He yelled. "I call this batch Unity Juice. Who's thirsty?"
I just watched as everyone filled their bottles. Finn walked over to me.
"Hey, shorty. Not thirsty?", He asked me. I sighed and shrugged. "Are you okay?"
I looked at him and shook my head. I grabbed his hand so we could speak privately.
"Yesterday, this man from the Ark, Shumway, asked me to kill Bellamy and I actually considered doing it. I feel so guilty, I'm not a murderer. I really do believe that no one deserves to die.", I told him. I expected him to yell or anything but he looked at me like it was the most basic case in history.
"I know. Clarke told me. But you didn't do it. And Bellamy wasn't mad so, what's the real problem ?", He asked me. He knew me too well.
"When I considered killing him, it felt like something took over me. Like.. like, I didn't even realise what I was doing anymore. It scared me.", I mumbled.
"Shorty, I'm pretty sure it's normal. You were scared something was going to happen to your family and since Bellamy isn't family you considered doing it. It's normal, okay? And it will happen again. The most important thing is that you know how to control it. You have to be the boss over your actions. 'Cause after all, it's your responsibility if something bad happens. You should go to the training. I'm sure they'll be able to help you. You're going to be a good fighter, Aaliyah.", He said and smiled.
"What if I don't wanna be a fighter? I don't want to kill people.", I told him. I felt like I could tell him anything.

"Then you don't have to. I would still go to training, though. I mean, you never know.", He told me and he ruffled my hair.
✯
"You did good for the first training. I see you tomorrow, same time. Be there.", Tyler said and I nodded.
Finn convinced me to go to training. I went and Tyler, a boy around 17, trained me. It was really fun. We trained for almost 3 hours and I really loved it. He first taught me how to hold a sword and then how to use it. He also learnt me tricks with knives. Tomorrow, I'm going to learn how to fight when I don't have any weapons. I'm super excited.
You're probably wondering how some kids here know so much about fighting. I don't know about the other kids, but Tyler told me his father was a guard. He always wanted to be one too so his father taught him a lot of skills since he was a little kid. Now, he just wants to get revenge on the Ark.
I walked out of the drop ship and I saw Bellamy leaving. I ran over to him.
"Where are you going?", I asked him.
"Finn set up a meeting with the Grounders, we're coming just in case something happens.", Bellamy said.
"Great. Let me grab my sword, I'll be right back-", I said but Bellamy cut me off.
"You aren't coming.", He told me. In that typical 'father' tone, you know?
"What? But I had training today, I wanna test my abilities. And you need me.", I told him.
"I don't care, Aaliyah, it's too dangerous.", He said and I saw he was about to call Ethan again but before he could I cut him off.
"Okay, okay. I'll stay here. I don't need a babysitter.", I said and rolled my eyes. He shook his head but smirked. Then, he and a group took off. Including Jasper. Were they actually thinking I wasn't going? They obviously needed me. So, I followed them. They didn't see me, though.

I watched from behind as I saw Jasper randomly starting to shoot. I rolled my eyes at his stupid action but stayed hidden when the Grounders started shooting with spears.
Everyone started to run back as I stayed hidden in my post. I had to, if Bellamy or Clarke would see me here, they'd kill me. When everyone was gone I came out of my hiding spot. I heard a tree branch crack from behind me and I turned around, holding my knife protectively in front of me. I stood eye in eye with Lincoln. Lincoln was the Grounder who saved Octavia. And she's probably in love with him 'cause he's the only thing I hear her talking about when I try to fall asleep.
"Aaliyah?", He asked me.
"How do you know my name?", I asked him not removing the knife.
"Octavia told me, what are you doing here?", He asked me. I removed the knife and put it in my pocket.
"Taking a walk.", I muttered as if it was the most obvious thing ever.
"Does anyone know you're here?", He asked me.
I scoffed. "Probably.", I said. The actual answer was no.
"You should get back to your camp, it's not safe here and definitely not for a little girl on her own.", He said and I winced at the word 'little'.
"Excuse me? Apparently, I happen to be a great fighter. Especially for a little girl.", I mocked his words in a deeper voice making him chuckle.
"Alright then, little fighter. Get back to your camp.", I nodded.
"On my way.", I said. I pat his shoulder and walked off. Where did my shyness go?
✯
I was about to walk into camp but I saw Bellamy standing there with his arms crossed. Damn it. I walked into camp right past him. He grabbed my wrist.
"What the hell were you doing out there, young lady?", Bellamy said raising his eyebrows. I made a weird look at the fact he said 'young lady'.
"Just going out for a walk.", I told him.
"Aaliyah, I'm serious. I know you followed us. Something could've happened to you. No one knew you were out there.", Bellamy lectured me.
"Well, you just said you did know.", I used his own words in my defence. He sighed.
"Aaliyah. Aaliyah, Aaliyah, Aaliyah. How many times do I have to tell you it's dangerous out there. When will you finally understand?", He asked me. Woah, it looked like he was desperate.
"How many times do I have to tell you I don't need a babysitter. I can take perfect care for myself. And next time, I am going to show you my skills.", I told him. He sighed and shook his head.

Apocalypse at Mighty Max
God sold us out and the world ended... well, sort of. God may have sold us, or at least, our universe but our world didn't end. Instead, the new owners decided to play, and we all know what that means: Monsters, a System, Magic, Cultivation, and, of course, two new moons! Thanks for reading! I appreciate the interest. This is a rough draft and is intended to flesh out some ideas for a novel that I had. Maybe figure out if I want to do this author thing, you know? If you want immediately OP MCs, fights every chapter, a harem, this is not the story for you. Sorry about that. If you're willing to put up with a long growth curve, an MC that doesn't know what he's doing most of the time but is trying his best both to survive and to help his friends survive, you might enjoy the story. I'm just trying to have fun, maybe create something that in a second draft I can sell on the eBook market. If you're not into that, not into providing helpful comments for revisions, hey, that's cool, but do us both a favor and stop reading now. ** Oh, release schedule For the first weeks, I'll be releasing a chapter (1800-3000 words) a day. Following that, I'll be releasing whenever the mood strikes me. If I get some feedback, the mood might strike me more often, hint! hint!

Ætla Verǫld
AV Online was just a flash in the pan—a harsh, experimental land which lost most of its players in mere weeks. Only the dedicated few remained, carving out their destinies in corners of the vast abandoned world. Lily Quinn wasn't one of them. With a career worth millions in the esports world, she didn't have time for a game like Avo—but when an exclusive beta test for the new version showed up on her doorstep, she couldn't say no… as much as she wanted to. Literally hooked into the simulation, Lily reluctantly entered a world beyond anything she'd ever dreamed of. Accompanied by seven other beta testers desperate to save their beloved game, Lily dives into a vibrant, beautiful world, where mystery and adventure waits around every corner. Despite her reservations, Lily finds a joyful escape in Avo, shattering her cold, hollow reality. It was just a game though… until the group discovered they couldn't log out. Trapped in a game with no rules, and surrounded by cutthroat players eager to kill for a quick windfall, Lily and her ragged band have no choice but to fight their way out, or die in a game that has turned all too real. Hi there! I'm setting off on yet another adventure, come join me :3 Unusually for me, there's only one perspective this time, and it's quite a bit more action-oriented than I usually write. Don't worry, though: everything's still as character-driven as always, and I never get tired of writing dialogue. Just to acknowledge it up front: this story is heavily inspired by EVE Online and the many stories generated by that world. However, since this is a fantasy setting, not sci-fi, don't expect any real parallels. Chapter publish rate for this one will be whenever I write them, as with Epilogue. I don't expect to move as fast here though, since it's not for NaNo. The plan is chapters somewhere in the 4k-5k range, and hopefully frequently. The Last Science takes priority as always though. Special thanks to Reaver and Ace Arriande for pushing me to get this going, and to all my fellow writers whom I've stolen from been inspired by. You're all wonderful people and I love you Quick reminder: Patrons get to read ahead of what's published! Also, try my other works: The Last Science — A Tale of Modern Magic Epilogue — A Post-Fantasy Psychodrama What are you still doing on the synopsis? Get to reading!
