Gilly POV
Daddy scooped me up and said we have a "change of plans". Now we are on our way back to the pack house for some reason even he doesn't know.
"Daddy why do we have to hurry so much?" I ask. He seems worried.
"Because I didn't like the tone Brenton used. Something odd is going on and I don't like being in the dark. Especially when it comes to you." He tells me.
"It will be Okay. Alpha won't let anything happen to me... Kenzie won't let him." I say and he chuckles.
"I trust Brent with my life but he can't control everything... just stay close okay tadpole?"
"Of course... why do you call me tadpole?" I ask. I never understood the nickname.
"You know what people call vampires right?" He asks and I nod.
"Leeches." I answer.
"Well you are a vampire but you are far too cute to be a leech. I had the thought that tadpoles are the cute, good, and kinder version of leeches." He explains.
"So it's a racial slur." I say and he pauses.
"No... at least I didn't mean it that way... I thought it was cute. Like calling a wolf child pup... if it bothers you I will stop." He says and I smile. My daddy is so sweet... I actually kinda like tadpole... as long as it's only him who calls me that.
"You don't have to stop." I tell him.
"I'm glad... you know I never meant it that way right?" He asks.
"I know."
"We're here... remember, stay close." He says and I nod.
When we enter the house we go straight for the Alpha office. Daddy growls before bursting through the doors.
"You let them in here!" Daddy growls holding me to himself. I sneak a peak and see two people sitting across from Alpha Brenton and Kenzie.

"Calm down Landy." Brenton says.
"Their kind want to kidnap both of our mates and you let them in! This is not the time to be calm!" He yells back.
Finally I am able to turn and face the new people. They seem familiar. Like a memory or a distant dream.
"Little bean? Is that you?" The man asks and daddy looks down at me confused.
"You... you're... Ba?" I ask.
"My baby!" The woman yells getting up and running over causing my daddy to be extra protective and pull me back into his arms.
"It's okay daddy... I... I think I know them." I whisper. He looks worried but sets me down. He doesn't let go of me but it allows me to look at the people. "You two were in my dreams... do I know you?" The woman starts crying and the man kneels in front of me.
"My name is Killian and this is my beloved, Grace... I think you are our daughter." He tells me.
"But Father said I didn't have a mom. Only him... but... I remember you. You played with me and she made yummy food just for me and you... you... you're my real father... I'm not related to him..." I put the pieces together. I didn't realize I was crying until someone wiped away the tears.
"I know it's hard. You thought he was your dad. I won't push you, just know I, we love you very much." My dad says.
"Not hard... I'm so happy he's not my father! The dreams are real! Ba, your real. I don't have a monster for a father!" I'm so happy right now but u see my dad go from worried for me and happy to see me to angry.
"What did he do to you, little bean?" He asks.
"It's over now... I'll just say he wasn't a nice person." He nods before standing up and walking back over to Brenton's desk. "Please help us kill this bastard."

"Will you stop following me?" I growl at my bulky shadow.
"No can do. My Alpha told me to help my co-Delta and I have to listen to my Alpha." Maddox smirks at me.
"You are a pain." I respond.
"It wouldn't be painful to be around me if you accepted me as your mate... well you could reject me and eventually you may find someone else but you like me too much to do that." He says.
"You won't let me reject you!" I yell.
"Hush puppy, you wouldn't want to make a scene." He tells me and I huff before continuing to walk into the pack house.
He is right. If anyone in the pack finds out he is my mate Brenton will catch wind of it and have my butt fir not accepting him already.
"Stop." Maddox commands. I hate that I didn't even hesitate to submit to him. He steps behind me and grabs my throat pulling me against him. "You need to calm down pup. I'm not forcing a relationship on you so chill out. You keep acting like a brat around me it will be obvious to everyone what we are. I know you don't want that so take a breath then we will continue." He releases me and I take a deep breath shivering at the loss of contact. I really want his arms around me again and the deep breath just made my head dizzy with his scent.
"Master please." I hear myself whine. Before I know what I'm doing I'm curled into his chest with his arms wrapped around me. My emotions are all over the place and I don't know what to do.
"You're okay... I got you pup." He coos rubbing my back and scratching my scalp.
"I don't know what to do." I whimper into his chest.
"Talk to me. Maybe I can help."
"I can't be submissive... I'm a leader. It would hurt the pack but... I want you." I admit.
"Well if we are co-Delta than you can be what ever you want and there will still be a dominant in the position. You won't lose any of the respect you've earned thus far as Delta and as far as any outside packs are concerned the position is heald by a dominant. There is no pressure on you here. You just have to decide what you want." He says. What I want?
I look at the handsome man that is my mate and smile. I know what I want. I pull Maddox to me and kiss him. He quickly takes control of the kiss and I'm done for.
"We need to go see the Alpha." He reminds me pulling away from the kiss.
"Yea." I agree holding on to my mate.
"So do you accept me?" He asks and I groan.
"Isn't it obvious?!" I respond.
"Well then we have some news for your cousin and a ceremony to plan." Maddox says.
"Or you could just mark me and be done with it. I'm not interested in a ceremony." I tell him.
"You sure?" He asks and I nod. "Good." He growls and bites down without warning. As he pulls away he sighs. "The wolf in me has been wanting to do that from the moment I saw you... we ate going on a run later."
"Okay." I whisper still not fully with it after that interaction. Maddox takes my hand and pulls me along into the office.
"We have some help in our fight now. We're ending this fight." Brenton tells us as soon as we get in and Maddox answers for the both of us.
"Let's do this."
