I headed back down south to search around the area that girl said she last saw (Name). There were a few villages spread out around the countryside and I sighed knowing I would have to search all of them for any clues as to where (Name) was. Maybe, destiny would favor me and she would be staying in one of them. Thinking about seeing (Name) again sent chills throughout my entire body. Just thinking about everything I could do with her. I couldn't wait to feel her again. I dont know why, but I really wanted to pull her soft hair right now. I must have been angry because the idea of pulling her hair until it nearly came out sent excitement coursing through my body and I really didn't understand how that caused me excitement further down. I also really wanted to feel a blade slicing through her soft flesh again. I wanted to see the blood run down her body. Then I wanted to baby her and hold her weak body. I wanted to hold her so tight all the bones in her body break. Then, she would never be able to leave me again.
It took about a day or two before I had gone through nearly all of the villages and now I was in the one of the last villages in the area. I headed toward the little village huts when some kid ran into me. I caught him by the neck of his shirt before he could fall. I figured I may as well start questioning now, and kids always seemed to say whatever you needed them to.
"Hey, have you seen a girl around here?" I questioned.
"Y-yes." He replied seeming a little scared from seeing a stranger.
"Could you show me?"
The Kid gave a nod and led me to his village and pointed at each female in his village one at a time. It made me want ring his little neck, hearing him being some smartass. Besides that he had brought my hopes up for nothing. However, I held in my anger and looked at the brat again. "I'm looking for a CERTAIN girl. She has (E/C) eyes and (H/C) hair that is incredibly beautiful and soft. She is the most beautiful person in the world, so if you saw her you would know it."

"...Miss (Name)?"
Just hearing her name aloud made me light up like a candle. I felt myself smiling brightly, I could practically scream from excitement. Maybe she would still be in the village! I grabbed the kid by the shoulders and nearly yelled, "Where is she!?"
I guess I could have been a little quieter because now this kid was terrified and on the verge of tears. "I-I don't want to tell you."
I hadn't ever really dealt with kids before and had no idea what to do to make him tell me what I needed to know. I had thought he would just do it. Now, I had to make him trust me. While many thoughts rushed through my head on what to say Junjun spoke up for me.
"Hello!"
The kid looked up at her, "h-hi."
"What's your name?"
"...Kuo."
"Well, Kuo, my master is sorry for scaring you. He is just really worried about (Name)."
"Really?"
Really! So, could you please tell us where she is so we can bring her home?"
He pointed off into the distance, "she went to see the big tower."
Without saying anything else I was already running off. I knew what he meant by "big tower." If what that kid said was true (Name) might be staying in Serendib. The "big tower" must be the 21st dungeon, Marax! I thought I might die from excitement, I finally found out where (Name) was. However after I stopped worrying about finding her, I was overcome by extreme rage again. How dare she leave Rakushou! She should never ever go so far away from me! She always, ALWAYS, has to stay within my reach!
"W-wait, Prince Kouha!" I stopped running and turned around to see my three maids trying to catch up to me. I let out an irritated sigh then continued on, this time going a little slower. Finally I was able to head out to Serendib, where my precious (Name) was. Soon, so very soon I would have her and I would punish her. I would make her incapable of leaving my side ever again. I would make her suffer so much that she would know to never ever leave my side again!

That medicine had worked liked a miracle, which really surprised you. You gave your head a little knock. It worked AND you still had your memories. After the doctor came you had progressively gotten better, and now after just a couple of days you were as good as you had ever been.
However, you needed to hurry and leave this city. You didn't really think Kouha would be able to find you, but you decided it was best to get out of the country. It had taken you a while to decide where you were going to go and what you were going to do, but being sick seemed to have given you the time to think about it. Your mind was now dead set on going to Sindria. There was no way Kouha could get you out of an enemy country. Not to mention, from what you had heard Sindria was the happiest place on earth. Although you didn't really believe something like that it was your best hope. At least they didn't have a slave system there.
As you exited the inn you gave the greedy innkeeper another coin. Then, you headed out into the streets of the city. Your plan was to find another caravan to take you to a port city, then get on a ship headed for Sindria. Although it wasn't a completely thought out plan you figured it would be okay to just improvise as you went.
On your way to the edge of the city you noticed that house tower thing again out of the corner of you eye. You were smart enough to figure out it was a dungeon, and for some reason you felt a need to head over to it. You just wanted to take a look at the outside of it. Even though it looked stupid it also looked majestic. Before you could stop yourself, you were already headed towards the dungeon. It felt so alluring you just had to keep going towards it. Of course, being you, a stupid thought came into your head which caused you to stop in your tracks. You felt like a some moth heading straight towards a light, and thinking something like that made you feel really stupid. You turned around to head back to the edge of the city again, but once again you had turned around to go to the tower. Then, you turned around again then again. After doing that for a considerably long time you noticed people staring at you. Embarrassed, you ran off into the direction you were facing which just happened to be towards the tower. "SCREW IT!" You yelled out as you continued running towards the tower.
Finally, you made it to the tower. You bent over breathing hard, you had run for a while there then ended up walking the rest of the way. After you caught your breath you looked up at the tower. It was humongous and lined with gold. You looked at it closer and saw jewels adorning it. It astounded you to see that there seemed to be no missing jewels. Surely someone would have tried to take one. You reached to grab one but it wouldn't budge. You sighed and gave up, it didn't really matter to you. Finally, You adjusted your gaze to the wierd looking house that jutted out of one side of the tower. It wasn't anything fancy like the tower portion of the dungeon. It was made of of wood and seemed to be falling apart. The door to the house wasn't even attached to the building correctly. Is was slightly off its hinges. Just as you reached out to touch the door you were interrupted by a loud voice coming from behind you.
"(NAME)!"
You turned around to see a short girlish boy with pink locks and pink eyes glaring at you.

In the Light of His Infernal Fire
"It is said that at the night of Walpurgis, the barrier in between worlds is at its weakest. However, for Kyouko and other Magical Girls at Mitakihara, the situation got out of control much sooner as forces from beyond their universe started to creep in to change their fate forever. Beyond the veil of reality, the Dragon stirs, seeking to increase his growing hoard - not with gold or gems, but with people and worlds. Directorate: Nationbuilding in Apocalypse
A nation is just a means of survival. Metro Manila fell within 5 months of the first report of cannibalism. Once a hyperurbanized region of 15 million inhabitants, it's been reduced to a dead, greenless shell. Most of the infected had since left to ravage the countryside. The central government was nowhere to be found. Among the survivors who clung to the few gardens and humble plots of arable land left, one of them finds evidence that the slaughter wasn't going to just end with the first wave. Without a nation and a wall of guns, everyone will die. Directorate is an original nationbuilding webnovel that focuses on the gradual rise to power of a select few individuals, and the subsequent unification of the survivors of a devastated Metro Manila. Releases targeted at every 1 to 3 weeks. If there are no chapter updates after 3 weeks, there will be a progress update. Number of releases targeted at a maximum of 100 chapters. Every 10-15 chapters, there will be a 1-month hiatus to let me plan for the next 10-15 chapters. Double releases have a not-insignificant-but-still-small chance of occurring. Original cover edited on GIMP. Destroyed city original photo "apocalypse" from Camila Rodrigues on Pixabay.

Stories Of Indlu
“… to grow, for opportunity, for adventure, to be free. Join the colony ship Nao Vittoria. Be the first to live amongst the stars.” It was obvious from the literature that the NextStar corporation wanted the young, the adventurous and the brilliant. So why were the super rich fighting over seats? Why were AI’s trying to stow away? Did this signify a premature end to human/AI civilisation? Why had some questions directed to NextStar been aggressively sidelined? Why did the colonist inflight entertainment trial produce fatalities? In fact, why colonists at all? Those and many other questions, however, boiled down to a single central question. Why was the world’s most advanced AI dumped with a hundred year babysitting job for 50 million people speeding towards an uninhabitable planet? It made such little sense. The only sure way to get answers, catch a ride on the Nao Vittoria and play the inflight entertainment game, Pax Domini. I joined, and this is my story. Well, I feature. OK, I’m more of a spectator. Actually, I’m completely irrelevant I was just there. I’m only the storyteller. But what a story to tell. --------- Hi All, Content will be published weekly usually Saturday and typical posts will be 25oo to 4ooo words per post. Though for some reason the Royal Road word count does not include the content of tables so some posts may not appear to meet this criteria. Currently I have written sufficient unedited content to keep this schedule for the next 12 months (half way through the first story arc). My current productivity would indicate that I can maintain this schedule for well into the second story arch. This also allows for the additional content that will be posed exclusively on Patreon (https://www.patreon.com/StoriesOfIndlu). This additional content follows minor characters, peripheral events, maps and other content that does not take away from the main story. I would love to accelerate the post schedule but to meet this I need the assistance of more beta readers than I currently have. So please let me know if you are interested. - Andy ©2022 Andy Leauter.
