《Yandere Kouha Ren x Reader (Magi)》Ditched

The vibrating and bumping of the wagon put you in a daze. You tuned everything out and your mind went completely blank. Only until you felt something wet creep down your chin did you come to your senses. You moved your hand up to you chin to notice you had started to drool. You quickly wiped it away and looked around to see if anyone had seen you. Everyone else who had been around sat doing there own things or chatting amongst each other. You sighed and looked at you partially wet hand. You must have been really really bored to have started drooling while you were awake. It didn't really matter that much and you started to space out again. This time however, you were interrupted by the wagon coming to a stop. You looked out from under the tarp covering the wagon and noticed it was already night. People were setting up camp for the night. You jumped out of the wagon and started to help by gathering firewood. As you brought back a heap of sticks you heard a group of drunk boys laughing, making you jump and almost drop all the twigs you had gathered. You looked to see 4 guys probably around the age of 17 trying to set up a tent and failing dumbly. You didn't know why they had already started drinking before everything was put together.
"I-I *hic* give up!" One of them exclaimed as he sat on the ground. The others all followed what he did And quit on their work too. It made you upset to see people slacking off while everyone else was working hard. You almost stomped over there to yell at them but caught yourself. You didn't know what a bunch of drunk guys would do to you, but you had an idea. As you began to walk away some of their stupid conversation reached your ears.
"I'm sure I can capture a dungeon." One of them yelled out as he jumped up.
"Yeah! yeah! We all could!" Another one joined in.
"Really? You can't even dodge a punch from me!" One guy jumped up and punched the first guy in the stomach causing him to puke. Which made everyone laugh and go onto some other stupid conversation about puke. You became grossed out by the conversation and left. You hadn't gained anything from listening to that. But it did remind you of the legend of dungeons and djinns. You remembered hearing stories from travelers, of people concurring these dungeons and gaining immense power. Maybe, if you captured a dungeon you could protect yourself from Kouha. You laughed to yourself, that's seemed like a a whole lot of adventure. Too much for you and too hard. How could you ever capture a dungeon? But it was nice to travel around. Feeling the freedom of joining a caravan. It would be fun to explore the world!

You brought the wood you had gathered to a large pile of already gathered twigs and sticks in the middle of camp, then set off back into the woods to gather some more. You had gone pretty far out to find more. Being alone in the woods was definitely making you tense. Every sound you heard was some sort of monster coming to kill you, but when you turned around it was just wind rustling the leaves or a little animal scampering along. You picked up sticks as fast as you could and before you had even filled your arms all the way you began to speedily walk back to the camp. Tension left your body as you were able to see the light of fires roaring. You sighed in relief but froze with terror as you heard the crying of a child. You slowly looked over to where the sound was coming from, then started to walk towards the camp not daring to approach the sound. All the while, you kept your eyes in the direction of the crying, afraid some ghost child was going to attack you. When you saw a small figure come out from behind a tree you stopped moving and stood still. A part of you hoped that by not moving it wouldn't see you. It only took you a few seconds to realize that the figure wasn't a ghost child but a living little boy who seemed to only be 4 years old. You stared for a second then leapt to you senses.
"Are you alright, where is your family?" The boy looked up at you and more tears fell from his eyes. "Oh! It's alright, it's gonna be alright. Are you lost?"
The boy nodded his head and started to cry again. Quickly you bent over and sat on your knees and hugged him while rubbing the back of his head. "Don't worry. I'll help you find them, okay?
The little boy held onto you tight and you could feel his body shaking. However he seemed to be trying to calm himself down. Before you knew it you were saying, "I promise I will get you home."
Then in the most adorable voice ever he stuttered out in between sobs, "th-th-thank... Thank y-y-you." His utter adorableness made you want to squeeze him to death but you refrained from doing so and gently pushed him away. You then stood up preparing yourself to find where he lived.
"Are you traveling with anyone over there?" You pointed over to the caravan.

"N-no." He shook his head.
"Okay, well then do you live in a village?" He slowly nodded his head. You took him by the hand and headed to the small road the caravan had been traveling on. You remembered that your village had been next to a small road that no one had ever seemed to pass on. You thought that maybe his village would also be next to a road. Besides it was your best chance to find the little boy's home. As you walked you looked at him clutching onto your arm. He was so adorable you could barely take it. "So, what's your name?"
"...Kuo."
"That's so adorable!" Kuo smiled slightly and you couldn't help letting out a little squeal. He looked at you curiously, but you averted your eyes to the road. You notice a fork in the road and looked both ways to figure out which way to go.
"I-I think I remember mommy taking me down here before." Kuo pointed down the left path. Hoping for the best you went straight down the path. Thankfully it only took about ten minutes before you saw a small village in the distance. As you approached you heard voices calling out something. Eventually it became clear what they were saying. They were calling out for Kuo.
"M-mommy!" Kuo detached from you and ran to his mother who started to cry.
"Everyone has been looking for you for hours! I was so worried!"
"I'm sorry. The miss over there helped me." He pointed straight at you and you could feel them both stare at you.
"Well~ I'll just be on my way then." You said as you spun around on one leg and started to walk away.
"No wait! Thank you so much for bringing Kuo home."
"It was nothing. I couldn't just leave him there."
The mother got up and grabbed your arm. "Please! Everyone would be so happy and will want to meet you."
You knew it was probably really stupid to go to the village. You had a bad feeling about going there, but when Kuo said please you couldn't say 'no' to his cute face. Everyone was really happy when Kuo returned, but it didn't surprise you. Growing up in a small village, you knew how close other villagers were. They were all pretty much family.
When a small celebration was over you were dizzy from being drunk and were led over to a small hut to stay in which you fell asleep in the moment you entered. When you woke up the next day it was already afternoon. You had a horrible headache and couldn't think straight. You stumbled out of the hut and looked around, then everything that had happened came back to you. But worse, it was the afternoon! You ran down the road to where the caravan had set up camp. You felt like you might faint when you saw that no one was there. They had all packed up and left you! You stood there for a few minutes, staring at the empty space, before heading back to the village.
When you arrived you asked them where the closest city was. They gave you directions for a different route going in a completely different direction then where you were headed before. However, they told you it was close enough for you to make it just there a little after dusk. You stayed in the village for a little while longer excepting a few things from the villagers. Eventually you prepared yourself for a long walk and began to head out when from behind you, you heard, "don't go!"
You turned around to see Kuo running over. "You can't leave! You have to be mine." What he said sounded familiar to something you had heard from someone else.
"I'm sorry Kuo, but I have to go." He looked down at his feet. He was on the verge of tears.
"Don't worry I'll come and visit you."
He looked up at you hopefully, "really?"
"Really really!"
"Okay! When you come back tell me about the big tower in the city!"
"Big tower?"
"I heard my mommy say there is a big tower in that city!" You thought about it for a second then pat him on the head.
"Aright, I'll tell you all about the big tower." Kuo smiled at you and gave your leg a big hug. Once he let go you headed out, on your way.
"Goodbye (Name)!"
"Bye, Kuo!" You called out as you felt the hot sun beat down on you. This was definitely going to be a very long walk.

Wildling
Blurb: Silas--a scavenger living off the ruins of humanity--has spent his entire life fighting tooth and nail to provide for himself and his crew. But when a scavenging run goes awry and he's snatched up by an android patrol, he finds himself thrown into a cage and priced to sell as a pet. And when a suitor comes calling, he fears the worst: that he'll be turned into a Domestic, a human lapdog brainwashed into total obedience. Instead, he discovers an equally disturbing truth: that the creatures who stole his world have created a videogame the likes of which Earth has never seen; a sprawling, game-like theme park where humans are the Avatars and androids are the players who control them. And to make matters worse, his android guide is as hopeless as they come, having gotten all of her previous Avatars killed in record time. So if Silas wants to regain his freedom, he'll not only have to fight his way through a world that was specifically designed to murder him in brutal fashion--he'll also have to convince his android guide that he should be the one calling the shots. FAQS: Q: Who are you, handsome stranger? A: I'm Kyle Kirrin, the author of Shadeslinger, book 1 of The Ripple System, published by Portal Books, and I write crunchy LitRPG. Q: What is Wildling? And is it complete? A: Wildling is a crunchy LitRPG mash up of Fantasy and Science Fiction. And yup, Wildling is already complete at 64 chapters, or about 120,000 thousand words. You're looking at something like a third draft here--it's fairly polished, but it hasn't been picked over by a copy editor yet nor has my developmental editor seen it. Q: Upload schedule? A: 5 initial chapters today (2/15/2021) and one chapter a day for the next month. After that I'll probably slow down to 2 or 3 chapters a week until the story is complete. Q: How crunchy is it? A: It's pretty crunchy. I'd put it on the same tier as Ascend/The Land/RSSG, but it might be a bit crunchier than those three? Q: Is this the first book in a series or a web novel or what? And what are your plans for it? A: It's currently a standalone with series potential. Full disclosure: this story may head the way of my publisher eventually, but will be available on RR for quite a while no matter what. Likely several months after it's complete with plenty of warning before/if it's taken down. Q: What kind of build does the MC create? A: Sword and board! Q: Crafting? A: Plenty! Crafting isn't as center stage as it is in The Way of the Shaman, but it's close. Q: Base building? A: Two fully separate, distinct bases, both of which play a major role in the story. Q: VRMMO? Portal? Reincarnation or what? A: This one's a bit tricky. Basically an advanced race has created a game-like world that closely resembles a theme park. Think Westworld but with copious amounts of loot. And the MC has to fight his way through that to earn his freedom. Q: Permadeath? A: Nope! The MC gets 3 lives to play through the entirety of the game world, and death is extremely punishing, but not fatal. Q: Harem? Or romance? A: No and no. Q: Cursing? Blood? A: Quite a bit of cursing, yeah. There's blood, too, but it's not a gory book by any means. Q: How can I support? A: Instead of a Patreon/donations etc, I'd ask that you consider giving my debut LitRPG Shadeslinger a chance. It's free on Kindle Unlimited and the audio is already out narrated by Travis Baldree. It's an epic fantasy VRMMO where the main character gets 3 days of exclusive access to a new game plus a snarky, talking axe to guide him through it in exchange for agreeing to become the target of a serverwide manhunt once the Head Start period ends. Q: How's it similar to Wildling? And how's it different? A. The crunch level is very similar, but Shadeslinger is a much lighter, epic fantasy take on the genre. It's also VRMMO, but without any real world components aside from the first chapter. The MC is very different--he comes off as a bit of a jerk early on and can take a bit to warm up to, especially before his backstory is revealed--but he's also got a talking axe that constantly puts him in his place. Shadeslinger's a much more humorous story in general, and it's a great deal more polished as well. Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoy Wildling!
