Grabbing a stink, Wendy drew runes on the ground round herself. "I knew it! I thought it was an attack spell, so I wrote this character wrong!"
"A Magic Pattern?" Lucy asked.
"What're you doin', Wendy?" Natsu asked.
"Have you been listening at all?" Sora asked.
"She said it's called 'Milkyway'." Happy stated.
Finally down, Wendy smiled. "That should do it!" Looking at her friends, she said, "Everybody, stand back a bit!" After they walked a distance away, she got on her knees and looked upwards with her arms reached upwards. "Oh wandering dragon spirit! Bestow upon me your voice! Milkyway!" Suddenly, a ray of light appeared. Magic flowed around her. As this happened, the bones started moving.
Screaming, Lucy latched onto Gray. "The bones...!"
Sweat-dropping, Gray looked away. "I wonder if Wendy's really okay?"
"I search for the soul of a dragon! An ancient will that wanders these caverns...So small..." Opening her eyes, Wendy found one. "I found you!" Clasping her hands together, she mustered all her strength. Without warning, a flash of light surrounded her. Appearing in front of everyone was a ball of light.
"Whoaa!" Sora exclaimed.
"That is a soul?!" Lily asked.
Walking beside, Happy said, "Wendy?!"
"It looks like she's concentrating." Carla stated.
Suddenly, a dragon skeleton started moving, startling everyone.
While Natsu yelled, Gray asked, "What is-"
Before he could finish his sentence, a dragon appeared from his skeleton. Growling, he scared everyone. Seeing their terrified expressions, he laughed. "The faces of startled humans always make me laugh! I am called, 'Zirconis', the Jade Dragon!" Looking around, he searched for the person who summoned him. "Somebody called my soul back...That's Sky Dragon Grandeeney's magic, right? Where are you?"
Looking down, he saw Wendy. Bending down, he put his head close to her. "Such a cutie! Did such a tiny Dragon Slayer manage to revive me?!"
Blinking, Sora and Natsu threatened him. "Hey! Watch it! Stay away from Wendy!" Natsu exclaimed.
"Natsu..." Sora sighed. 'Boy...Even I know this won't turn out good for him...'
As they both stood in front of her, Zirc glared at them. "No way! I'm gonna eat this girl!"
"You jerk!" He yelled.
"It was a joke! What'd you expect?! You humans are so stupid! Look at me! How's a ghost supposed to eat anyone?!" Laughing, he straightened himself up.

"You big..."
Shaking her head, she face-palmed. "Are you that much of an idiot?"
Growling, he turned to her. "Hey! It's not my fault he tricked me!"
"Yeah, but, it's your fault for falling into it."
"Tch..." Looking away, he crossed his arms over his chest whilst pouting.
"So this guy's a...prankster?" Lucy deadpanned.
"Not a 'guy'. A dragon." Gray corrected.
"Not even that. A ghost, I guess." Gajeel stated.
Turning towards Gajeel, Zirc frowned. "Let's be specific! I am Zirconis, the Jade Dragon!"
"You just said all that!" Gray exclaimed.
"What happened here?" Carla asked.
"There are so many dragon bones here..." Happy said.
"We called back your spirit to find out why." Lily explained.
Zirc only looked at Gray, Lucy, and Gajeel. "I have no words for humans. Leave!"
"We're cats." Carla stated.
"I see...Well, it was some 4 hundred years ago."
"You're not one for hard-and-fast rules, are you?!" Gray sweat-dropped.
Clearing his throat, he glared. "Look, do you wanna know the story or not?"
As Gray was about to say something, Sora covered his mouth. Nodding, she smiled nervously. "Yes. Yes. We wanna know!" Taking her hand away from his mouth, she looked at Zirc.
Clearing his throat, he continued. "At one point, we dragons were the rulers of the world! We danced in the sky at will. We gamboled upon the Earth. We crossed the oceans and lived in prosperity. Everything in this world belonged to Dragon-kind."
A scene played in his head as he said this. Dragons were flying in the air.
"Humans were nothing more than a snack to us!" Laughing, he licked his lips as he remembered the taste of humans, and how good they were.
"But, there was a foolish dragon who objected to the rule of Dragon-kind! He blathered some idiocy about wanting to build a world were we could coexist with humans.
"A war erupted between the dragons that agreed with him, and those who opposed him. I fought against him."
"Against...? You mean..." Lucy shook from fear.
Smiling, he laughed. "I can't bring myself to like humans. Well, as dinner, I think they're great!"
Something occurred to Natsu and Sora. Trying to contain their snickers, they covered their mouths. "So right now..." Natsu started.

"You're talking to your food?!" Sora finished. "That must be humiliating!"
"Quiet! You annoying little ants!" Zirc exclaimed.
"So...? What happened with the battle?" Carla asked.
Coughing, Zirc continued. "The battle hit a stalemate. The clash of dragon against dragon tore the earth apart! But eventually, the faction that wanted peace with the humans struck on a very foolish strategy: They bestowed upon the humans magic that could slay dragons...and had them join the battle." Shocked by this information, no words came out of Gajeel, Natsu, and Sora.
"...Dragon Slayer magic?" Lucy asked.
"That's the origin of the Dragon Slayers?" Happy asked.
"The power of the Dragon Slayers was unbeatable. It was only a matter of time before the dragons who wanted peace with the humans would emerge victorious. But there...they made a miscalculation.
"They had given the Dragon Slayers too much power. And the slayers started killing even those dragons who wanted peace with mankind. And among the humans was one...who bathed in far too much dragon blood."
Closing his eyes, Zirc could barely get out his sentence from the horror of that war. "I shudder to let that human's name pass my lips. This 'man' murdered more and more dragons and bathed in their blood! Eventually, his skin turned to scales...his teeth turned to fangs...and his human body became physically changed into that of a true dragon."
"A man turned into a dragon?!" Lucy couldn't believe it.
"That is the end of the path of Dragon Slayer Magic. All of the dragons that lay here were slain by that man. Though once a human, he became the Dragon King! That battle gave birth to him. The Dragon King Festival! That king's name is Acnologia! A dragon, and yet not a dragon. The Wings of Darkness!"
"That..." Lucy's eyes widened.
"...'Was once a man'?!" Gray yelled.
"No..." Sora covered her ears from disbelief. Closing her eyes tightly, she refused to believe this.
"Not possible!" Gajeel yelled.
Meanwhile, Natsu had no words.
"He managed to destroy nearly all the dragons. And that was 4 hundred years ago. All that's left...is to tell you..." Zirc started disappearing.
Running forwards, Natsu yelled, "Hey!"
"He vanished!" Gray exclaimed.
"We still got questions to ask!" Gajeel yelled.
Panting, Wendy frowned. Meanwhile, Carla and Happy ran towards her, yelling her name.
"It's no good...His spirit has completely vanished from this place. To put it in religious terms, you could say he has gone to the next life." Wendy explained.
"That was a pretty overwhelming story." Gray frowned.
"It was just too huge!" Lucy shuddered.
"So if you use too much Dragon Slayer magic, you become a dragon?!" Natsu started sweating, turning to the other slayers.
"I don't want that!" Gajeel exclaimed.
"What do I do?!" Wendy started to panic.
Eyes widening, Natsu clung onto Sora who was in deep thought. "Sora, you're not allowed to use your Dragon Force anymore! You're too close to becoming a dragon!"
'Oh dear...' Sighing, Sora took him off of her and set him in front of her. Clutching his shoulders, she looked him dead in his eyes. "That won't happen. I promise."
"But-"
"That is not possible." Arcadios said, appearing behind them from a distance away with Yukino.
"Who's there?!" Wendy exclaimed as everyone turned towards the voice.
Walking forwards, Arcadios smiled. "I'm afraid I eavesdropped on your conversation. And it seems to confirm the historical research we've done. I assume you are familiar with the demons of the Book of Zeref."
Frowning, Gray's eyebrows furrowed. 'Deliora?!'
Yukino and Arcadios stopped before them. "Acnologia is close to that. The theory is that Zeref transformed a Dragon Slayer into Acnologia."
"Zeref did?!" Happy exclaimed.
"In other words...the first step to defeating Zeref, who caused all of this...is to capture Acnologia."
"Who are these b*****ds?!" Gajeel asked, glaring.
"Defeat Zeref?!" Natsu asked.
"But...that's impossible! You can't possibly think you can capture Acnologia!" Sora clenched her fists while looking at Arcadios.
"Yukino?!" Lucy said.
Meanwhile, Carla couldn't believe she saw Arcadios. 'The white knight I saw in my premonition!'

Starlight Antiquities
There is a place in the galaxy that deals in antiquities of all kinds, human and non-human alike. Its inventory of artifacts is colossal as is its inventory of mercs who they hire to acquire any artifact a client may wish that is yet to come into their possession. The ill-reputable business is constantly rubbing against the changing tolerance of the Union's government, and there are many security officers who would love nothing better than to vaporize the whole place with its owners inside. Yet, there are many tasks that nobody can do better, especially in the vastness of deep space where Union law is worth less than the energy needed to display it. One of its jobs involves finding an artifact that may not only hold the future of the human race but may also disturb the balance of the whole galaxy. *** While waiting for the next season of Mandalorian and the Witcher, and rewatching Firefly for the gazillionth of time, I decided to write this space-based series. The series has some litRPG elements in it, but it does not read like one. So, you won't run into any blue screens here. Yet, I wanted to use litRPG to give another dimension to this whole story and make it as unique as possible. This is a work-in-progress. Hope to keep on improving and fixing my mistakes as I go along.

Be advised.**
