Meanwhile, in the crowd, was a cloaked girl. Watching the Lacrima vision, a tear fell down their face.
Feeling their presence, Jellal's eyes widened. '...The same one?!'
Near the cliff, Melody and Ur felt the presence. "The one like Zeref, but somehow different?" Ur asked.
"In the stadium...again?" Melody asked.
As Jellal ran towards the presence, Ur telepathically said, "Jellal, make sure whoever it is doesn't get away this time!"
"I know! I'm worried about the match, but this is more..."
With Natsu, he heard Sting say, "You're saying one of you...is enough?" Annoyed, he continued. "What kinda crap is that?"
"I got no business with you! I'm here to fight Gajeel!" Rogue said, furious.
Smiling, Natsu said, "Okay. Take me down, then go after him."
Using Dragon Force, Sting said, "Dragon Force uses the same power as a dragon! There can't be any power greater than that in the whole world!"
While Sting charged towards Natsu, Natsu chuckled. "But you ain't at 100%, are ya?"
Blocking his attack, Sting yelled. "This is the power I used to kill Weisslogia!"
"Is that right? Well, this is the power I use..." Frowning, Natsu glared. "To fight for my friend who your Guild laughed at!" Fire surrounding his fist, Natsu punched Sting, sending him flying.
Using Dragon Force, Rogue yelled, "Shadow Dragon's Roar!"
Seeing it coming towards him, Natsu yelled, "Fire Dragon's Roar!" Being sent backwards, Rogue screamed.
Getting up from the ground, Sting ran at Natsu. "This isn't over yet!" Meanwhile, Rogue squatted, glaring at Natsu.
Smirking, Natsu motioned them to him. "Come at me." Blocking each attack they both sent at the same time, he punched them.
Meanwhile, Lector cried. "Sting!"
~~~~~~~~Flashback~~~~~~
Bowing, young Lector yelled, "Please make me your disciple."
Stopping, young Sting turned around. "Huh?"
"I just watched the fight you had! I want to become much, much stronger!"
"Wait, you...aren't afraid of me?"
As he cried, Lector stood up. "I'm not afraid at all! I just want to get stronger!"
Smiling, Sting closed his eyes while he rubbed the back of his head. "A cat as a disciple...?" After a moment of silence, Sting opened his eyes. "Yeah, okay. Just follow me."
"Yes, Master!"
~~~~~~~~~Flashback over~~~~~~~~~
Standing beside each other, Rogue said, "Sting!"
"Right!"
While they combined their attacks, Lector thought, 'In the end, I didn't wind up much stronger...but I sure loved watching Sting and his strength.' Cheering for his friend, he cried harder. 'Sting, you're the best there is!'
Using Divine-Shadow Dragon: Light Fang, Sting and Rogue sent it towards Natsu. Preparing himself, Natsu yelled, "Dragon Slayer Ultimate Attack...Blazing Flashover Blade!" Fire covering his fists, he clawed at them, fire being sent their way.
With their attacks clashing at each other, everyone was shocked upon hearing the arena rumble.
While the debris was clearing, Rogue was on his knees, barely staying up. 'Natsu Dragneel...Doesn't he have...any...limits...?' Falling, he closed his eyes.
Falling down, Sting glanced at Lector with all the strength left in him. 'Lector...Natsu is...too strong...'
Blinking, Chapati said, "L-l-look at this...It's Fairy Tail!" Celebrating, Natsu threw his fists in the air. "They've defeated the Twin Dragons! this means that Sora will go back to Fairy Tail!" Fairy Tail was in 1st place with 45 points while Saber was in 2nd with 44 points. "They've risen to the number one spot! This brings the 4th day of the Games to a close! There will be a one-day break from the Games, and after that will be the final match! The final match will be a survival game with all 5 members of each team!
"Which Guild will come out the victor in the end?! Everyone, you can expect fireworks!"
~~~~~
Cheering, Magi looked at Sora. Aladdin, Alibaba, and Morg waved at her. Seeing her wave back, she smiled. Seeing her this happy, Sin, Kouen, and Muu couldn't help but feel happy for her.
Sighing, Alibaba smiled. "I'm so glad Natsu won!"
Aladdin nodded, smiling. "Yeah. This means Sora will go back to Fairy Tail!" To this, Morg nodded from his statement.
With Saber, Orba frowned. "I never thought for a second that those two might lose."
Chuckling, Rufus said, "It was an interesting match. And I've committed it all to memory."
Laughing, Orba smiled. "It looks like we'll be able to tease them about this for a long time!"
Glancing at them, Minerva smirked. "If they have 'a long time'." Looking at Sora cheering, she put her hand on her hip, walking over to her. "Well, looks like I underestimated your brother. Unfortunately, you'll be going back to your family. Too bad you couldn't stay in Sabertooth. You would make a great edition to us."
Looking at her, Sora frowned. "Whatever. I already have a family waitin' for me to come home." With that, she ran to Fairy Tail.
With Natsu, he looked at Rogue and Sting. Sighing, he smiled while he closed his eyes. "Let's fight again real soon, okay?"
Opening his eyes, Rogue started getting up. 'A complete failure...And if Gajeel...has the same fighting strength as Natsu...just how overly cocky was I this time?"
Meanwhile, Gajeel was panting, clutching the side of the cart, which was thrown off the track. "Salamander...I'm gonna kill him this time for sure..." Looking around, he glared at his surrounding. "But first...where am I?! Somewhere below the stadium?!" Suddenly, he stopped looking. When something caught his interest, he stood up and walked towards it.
Stopping, he couldn't believe what he saw. "What...is...this...?" Standing before him were skeletons of dragons. "A dragon...graveyard?!"
Meanwhile, Jellal was following the mysterious being in the town. 'That person won't get away this time! Whoever it is who can us magic like Zeref's! Just who are you?!'
Elsewhere, in the castle, Yukino stared at the land. "So Sabertooth lost? Lost to Natsu...?"
Behind her, a guard said, "I imagine your feelings on that must be complicated, Sergeant Yukino."
Closing her eyes, she responded, "Not at all...I have cut all ties with the Guild." Smiling, she opened her eyes as she looked at him. "But I must say I have trouble adapting to being called 'sergeant'."
"I apologize for the necessity. If you are involved in the Eclipse project...you will, at the very least, need a certain position in the hierarchy."
Turning away, she looked at the sky. "The Eclipse project...If my magic can be of any use at all, then I'm prepared to put forth all my power. It will also be for the sake of the man who game a place. Arcadios...Ah! I suppose I should call him Colonel, should I not?"
Smiling, he said, "He doesn't stand on ceremony. I still call him, 'Captain'. His old friends call him, 'Dio'."
"Is that right?"
"But he is not as worldly as I thought. He is trying to save the world...and no one has even noticed."
In the infirmary, Carla saw a premonition of the castle crumbling to the ground.
Seeing her face, Wendy asked, "What's wrong, Carla?"
"Nothing." Looking at the ground, Carla frowned. 'There's that premonition of the castle crumbling again!'
Opening the door, Levy walked in while Jet and Droy followed behind, smiling. "Lu, we did it!"
"Levy!" Lucy sat up.
"If things go like they are, we could come out of this as winners!"
Smiling, Lucy smirked. "Of course we could! There's no way those 5 could lose!"
Looking towards Wendy, Levy asked, "By the way, have you seen Gajeel?"
"Huh? He hasn't come back yet?" Lucy tilted her head, questioningly.
"Maybe he's out havin' an iron snack or somethin'." Elfman suggested.
"He'll be back before you know it!" Wendy said.
"I guess you're right." Levy said.
~~~~~~~~~
Standing behind the mysterious being, Jellal said, "Stop." Showing his face, he frowned. "I will show you who I am...so turn around and show me who you are." As silence ensued, he glanced her he legs. 'A woman?'
As she turned around, he couldn't believe what he saw. "It couldn't be...!"

Note to Reader: I understand this book is not for everyone, if there is a writer that can write to please everyone, I have never heard of them. The MC can be frustrating in his decisions as he learns to grow and accept what and who he is. I believe this reality is unavoidable. That being said, if you feel the need to give a review, please do so, just know that I will report you if all that review seems to do is blab toxic language and insult my literary choices without giving constructive advice or alternatives. That's not just a me policy, that's a policy of this website. I'm not writing this note because I'm a writer who does not acknowledge that there are faults in my work. I know there are. That's what happens when it hasn't been professionally edited by someone other than the author. I'm saying this because I'm sick of reading 1 star or 0.5 star rated reviews that seem to do nothing but hate on the book because they don't like the story. No comments on grammar, ways to improve or suggestions for better story arcs. Just plain hate. It's not on, and I frankly shouldn't have to write this note, but needed to get it off my chest. In saying all that, thank you to those who do leave reviews that don't fall into the above category. Your appreciation of my work, or alternatively, your willingness to give advice for improvement, is appreciated.

The Designated: Out of Control
It happened quicker than anyone would have imagined. Multiple hurricanes were one thing. People had dealt with that in the past. But, like kids playing dominoes, one thing crashed into another. Areas affected by hurricanes needed resources all along the Gulf and East Coasts drew rescuers and resources away from other parts of the country. When wildfires lit up the Pacific coast and mid-west, those areas were already understaffed. Driven by hurricanes in the Pacific basin, uncontrolled wildfires burned through towns, destroying everything in their paths. Across the Pacific, Asia didn't escape. From the Philippines, across China, into Indochina, and Bangladesh and India. Typhoons and cyclones pounded the coasts and far inland. Widespread flooding forced millions from their homes and across international borders. Mexico was hit hard and thousands died in mudslides as Katia slammed into their East Coast. The refugees fled north and west. Rumours started that hundreds of thousands were headed for the US border. Instead of running out of steam in the southern US, several hurricanes tore up the eastern seaboard, devastating cities and renewing their strength before veering east across the Atlantic. Maria and Ophelia veered east and slammed into Europe, reaching as far as the Netherlands and Russia before finally dissipating. After that, too many weather stations were offline to provide any form of co-ordinated information or warnings. Wildfires in Portugal burned ahead of the storms, fanned by hurricane winds. They sparked wildfires leapfrogging across Europe, beyond any one country's ability to cope. Already uneasy from multiple terrorist attacks over the summer, anti-refugee groups seized the opportunity to stage protests across Europe. Some turned violent as they clashed with police forces. Several governments declared martial law to quell the rioting and enforce evacuations along the path of the storms. Rumour and speculation overwhelmed facts. Unrest spilled over into widespread violence. Then sickness broke out in the displaced populations. Within a matter of a dozen weeks, tens of millions died. In the coming winter months hundreds more would follow. The Designated Project was activated.
