《Grand Magic Games: Fairy Tail X Magi Crossover》Chapter 31

Inside the hotel room, Lucy sat from Yukino.
"Business? With me?" Lucy asked.
"Yes. I have important business with you, Miss Lucy." Yukino said.
"What kinda of business does Saber have with us?"Sora said as she scowled.
"Sora, let's at least hear 'em out." Aladdin said, smiling.
"I am not here to fight. These." Placing down 2 keys, Yukino sat back up. "The keys to the Twin Ichthyoid Palace and the Scale Palace. My business is to place these 2 keys in Miss Lucy's possession."
"Huh?" Lucy's eyes widened. "That isn't...possible. I can't take them."
"On the opening day, when I first saw you, I made a decision: when the Games were over, I'd give the keys to you."
"But, Miss Yukino, the Games aren't quite over yet..." Morg said.
"For me, they are."
"What do you mean?" Sin asked.
"I would suppose that Minerva will take my place. That will place the 5 strongest members of Sabertooth on the same team."
"You mean you weren't one of the 5?" Sora asked.
Looking down, Yukino closed her eyes. "I was merely a novice; simply filling the place of Minerva while she was away on a job."
"Then why would you do this? Those are your precious Celestial Spirits, right?" Wendy asked.
"That is exactly why I am entrusting them to an outstanding Celestial Wizard. It will bring happiness to those spirits to be guided to Miss Lucy."
Frantically waving her hands in front of her, Lucy smiled. "I'm happy for the compliment...but I don't think-"
"You have already gathered 10 keys to the 12 Golden Gates. If you add my 2..." Opening her eyes, Yukino looked straight into her eyes. "Then you will have all 12 keys. And you can open the gate that changes the world."
"What's that?" Sora tilted her head as she crossed her arms.
"It is an old legend. Nothing more. I do not understand the meaning of it myself. You may have already noticed, but over these past several years, the number of Celestial Wizards has been rapidly dwindling. Just recently, there was the Zentopia incident. We two may be the only Celestial Wizards left.
"You are one who is loved by the spirits, and you love them in return. You must gather all 12 keys and move in concert with the spirits."
Looking down, Lucy sighed. "No. I can't take them." Startling Yukino, she smiled warmly towards her. "Celestial Magic is a magic built on mutual bonds and trust...It isn't that easy to switch owners."
"I do not consider this decision...easy." Yukino said, incoherently.
"Huh?"
Standing, Yukino sighed. "Nothing...I thought that this might be your reply." Walking away, she stopped, and turned. Smiling, she said, "It is obvious that when the time comes...all 12 keys will be gathered together again. I hope we may meet again." With that, she left.

Patting her back, Sora smiled. "I think you did the right thing, Luce."
"Yeah! Who said you had to take things from people?" Alibaba asked.
"Many people." Magi said.
Laughing nervously, Alibaba scratched the back of his neck. "...Sorry..."
Later, as Sora and Magi, who were following her, were walking to their respected hotels, Sora suddenly stopped.
"Sora, what's wrong?" Muu asked, putting a hand on her shoulder, looking worried.
"Sorry. But I have'ta do somethin'!" Smiling, she left them alone.
Blinking, Magi looked at each other. 'What was that about?'
"Do you think we should follow her?" Sin asked.
"Nah! I think she'll be fine." Aladdin said. "Besides, we should get to our rooms. It's late, after all!"
Time skip~~~~~~~~
"I'd say you just wasted a valuable opportunity." Carla said as she dried herself. Lucy, Wendy, and her were all done showering, and were drying off/dressing themselves.
"You had the chance to get all 12 keys!" Wendy said, putting a shirt on.
"A long time ago, I was all fired up to get all 12. But it really isn't an ambition of mine anymore." Lucy said, taking her clothes off. "As a member of Sabertooth...or maybe it's just her, but she really cared about what happened to her Celestial Spirits. And I can't break the bonds between her and her spirits. Or should I say, I don't want to break those bonds?"
Chuckling, Carla and Wendy smiled.
"Come to think of it, where did Natsu and Happy go?" Lucy asked while showering.
"They went chasing after Yukino-san. There was something they forgot to say to her or something."
Meanwhile, as Sora and Yukino were conversing and walking in the city, Natsu and Happy told them to wait up.
"Natsu. Happy." Yukino said as they stopped.
Stopping in front of them, Natsu grinned, closed his eyes, and scratched the back of his head. "Gotta tell ya that I'm sorry. You're not a bad person after all!" Blinking, he tilted his head. "Sora, what're you doin' here?"
"Same as you. And I wanted to get to know her better."
"Look, Natsu. You can't go deciding that people are bad or not just because they come from Sabertooth. That includes you too, Sora." Happy scolded.
Bending down, Natsu said, "That's why I came to apologize, right?"
"Hmm...I already paid my respects!" Sora flicked Happy's forehead.
"Hey! What did you that for?!"
"Hmm~ No reason~" Smiling, she looked at Yukino.
"Apologize?" Yukino asked.
"My bad." Natsu grinned.
"Too casual!" Happy jumped into the air from shock.
"We're really sorry." Happy said. "And apologizing for it means that Natsu, and maybe Sora, has matured just a tiny bit."
"What's that supposed to mean?!" Natsu and Sora said.
Trembling, Yukino looked down. "You came chasing me all the way here for that...?"
"Geez...The same thing I got..." Sora sighed.

"Well, you know, you got this dark look about you. And I thought maybe it was 'cause of my attitude!"
"That ain't all." Sora smirked.
"What's that s'pposed to mean?!" About to pummel her, Yukino's eye formed a tear.
"No...Forgive me."
"You don't need to apologize. You did nothin' wrong!" Sora deadpanned.
As tears suddenly fell from her face, Natsu said, "And crying is even worse!"
"What's the matter?!" Happy asked.
"Natsu, you made her cry!" Sora yelled.
"What did I do?!"
Crying, Yukino fell to the ground. "I just...can't do this! No...No one ever considered my feelings like this...I had always yearned to join Sabertooth. And last year, I finally was able to join...But now...I can never go back there again!"
"Huh?" Natsu said.
"What d'ya mean?" Sora sat down, putting her hand on Yukino's back.
"I lost once...and they made me quit ! I was forced to strip in front of a crowd of people...and remove my Guild mark..." As she said this, Natsu and Sora stopped moving. Eyes widened, they continued to listen to her. "It was so horrible! So shameful...My memories...my self-respect...they were all crushed...And now I have no place left to go..."
Clenching his fists, Natsu looked at her tremble. "Sorry, but I don't know what goes on in other Guilds..."
"Natsu..." Happy said. Looking at Sora, he saw her do the same. "Sora..." Getting a bad feeling, he stepped back.
"Yes...Forgive me. I couldn't...help it..." Trying to stop crying, she wiped her eyes only for more tears to form.
"You may be from another Guild, but we're both wizards, and I get that!" Natsu tightened his fists.
Hugging her, Sora held her tight. "I can guess how awful it must feel to be in that situation. Humiliated to the point where you just wanna curl up into a hole and cry. That isn't how a Guild works!"
"Any Guild that makes their friends cry..." Natsu started, fury written over his entire face.
"...can't be called a Guild at all!" Sora finished as she tightened her hold more.
'Friends...' Yukino watched Sora and Natsu. Getting up, Sora nodded towards Natsu.
Meanwhile, with Erza, she looked at the city.
"What is it, Erza? Why are you out here?" Gray asked a distance away from her.
"Gray?" Turning towards him, she remembered what Milli said. "No...It's nothing. What are you doing out here alone?" She watched him as he stood beside her.
"I was in the middles of some weird negotiations between Juvia and Lyon, and I didn't get any of it." Looking at the city, he didn't look at her once.
"What? 'Didn't get it', you say? I was not there, but I believe I understand the gist of it." As he looked at her, frowning, she smiled. "You are not stupid, so you must see how Juvia feels. It is time you made up your mind, is it not?" Looking away, she chuckled as he growled. "I shouldn't talk. 'Love' and 'hate' are weighty subjects. I have no right to lecture."
"Did something happen?"
Turning away, she started to walk away. "No. It's late. Shall we return to the inn?"
Meanwhile, in the palace, Arcadios was in the library. "One girl holds 10 keys...and one girl holds 2." Smiling, he laughed. "All 12 keys are here! Eclipse will be brought to full functionality!"
While the Guild slept, something crashed into the building. Waking up, Sting looked at the side of where he heard the sound. "What was that?"
Suddenly opening the door, Rogue and Fro entered his room. "Intruders!"
"Lector, wake up!" Fro flew in.
"Intruders?! In the inn where all of Sabertooth's members are staying?!" After getting dressed, they ran in the hallways, towards the sound. "Who are they?"
"I don't know. However, I suppose they don't intend to return alive." Rogue said. Before they could react, a member crashed into the hallway. "Over there!"
Arriving to him, they saw Sora and Natsu destroy the building and bring down the members of Saber. "Where is your Master?!"
As everyone was shocked, Jiemma stepped towards them. "You have some business with me, brats?"
"So you're the Master?"
"You expel somebody after just one loss?" Sora glared.
"Gotta be pretty fired up to do that!" Natsu said.
"Huh?" Angered, Jiemma glared at them. Scared, the Saber members only stared at the scene.
"So the same applies to you..." Natsu said. "If you lose to us, you're closing down your Guild!" Igniting their fists in fire, they stood across from him, glaring.
"I hope you're serious...brats!"
"Anybody who doesn't think of a as a member..." Sora started.
"...gets no respect from me!" Natsu finished.
'Is he talking about Yukino?' Rogue thought.
'This doesn't have anything to do with you, right? Do normal people get all worked up about things like that?' Sting thought.
"I don't know what you're talking about...but I do see that you live by certain rules of your own." Jiemma smirked.
"You don't know...what we're talkin' about?!" Natsu glared. Meanwhile, Sora tensed up at what he said next.
"Alright. I'll agree to your bet only if your sister joins our Guild if you lose."
"What?!" Pointing at him, she glared at him. "I wouldn't be caught anywhere near your idiotic, so called Guild!"
"Tch." Looking away, Natsu looked towards her as she rambled. As he caught her eyes, he looked away. 'Sorry, Sora.' Looking back at Jiemma, he stared at him. "Fine."
"Natsu?!" Sora's eyes widened. Hitting him on the head, she glared at him. "When we get back to the hotel, you and me are gonna have a 'talk', you hear me?!"
Holding his head, he nodded frantically. "Yes ma'am!"
Stepping back, she looked away and crossed her ams. "Stupid boys, and their bets!"
