《Grand Magic Games: Fairy Tail X Magi Crossover》Chapter 24

The next day, everyone cheered as they heard the new game, 'Chariot'.
"This is a race that competitors must run along these connected war chariots and reach the goal without falling." Chapati explained.
"Still, this isn't any normal race." Yajima said while the 2nd guest, Jason, yelled cool 3 times from his excitement.
"The war chariots will be constantly moving, so even a momentary lapse in concentration could lead to a crucial mistake. The course runs through the famous old neighborhood of Crocus! So, which team will be the first to cross the finish line at Doms Frau Stadium?! The people already in the Stadium will be able to catch the entire race on Lacrima-Vision!" However, for Fairy Tail and Magi, they deadpanned. Looking towards Yajima, sweat dropping. "By the way, Yajima, could anyone have expected this turn of events?"
"Hmm..."
"Why did Natsu enter this one?!" Gray's face twitched from annoyance.
"It's called 'Chariot'. You can tell from the name. Or you should..."
"He said he was competing, and wouldn't listen to reason." Erza said as she crossed her arms over her chest.
"Far behind the leading group is Natsu of Fairy Tail A, looking incredibly groggy!" Sweat dropping, Chapati watched as Natsu was panting out air and slowly 'running'.
With Team B, they were couldn't move.
"That idiot! Is he as stupid as Natsu?! Even I knew somethin' was up!" Sora yelled.
"Well, this is a bust..." Shaking his head, Laxus pinched his nose with two fingers.
"By this point, we'll never get in top 3..." Jellal said.
"Aww, c'mon! Gajeel will think of something!" Mira said, smiling.
They all looked at her, deadpanning. "Only you could look on the bright side..."
"And he isn't alone!" Chapati said. "Just steps ahead of him is Gajeel of Fairy Tail B and...Sting of Sabertooth, both also looking groggy!" Sweat dropping, he leaned into the microphone. "What could this mean, Yajima?"
"There must be something to cause all three of them pain at the same time."
As Chapati heard Jason yell cool, Chapati gave him a weird look. "Um...Jason, can you tone it down a bit?"
On the Chariots, Gajeel doubled over, sweat pouring down his face. "Wasn't it just Salamander...and Sora...who gets motion sickness...?"

"What's going on? Why is Gajeel...?" Lily asked.
"Don't go imitating Natsu and Sora!" Happy cried.
"It's even affecting the Saber guy..." Levy said.
Sweat dropping, Lector tried to make this situation cool for Sting. Crossing his arms over his chest, he closed his eyes. "This is a problem. For Sting, who's the greatest wizard in the world, to have his one weakness revealed..."
"Fro thinks so too!"
"Now, let's look at the lead group...At the front is Raven Tail's Kurohebi! Right behind him is Ichiya from Blue Pegasus!" Que Ichiya's signature move. "Yuka from Lamia Scale, and Risley from Mermaid Heel!"
Looking behind himself, Yuka said to Risley, "I'm surprised you can keep up, given your shape."
"Don't underestimate Chubby Power!"
"And slightly separated from them is the reservist from Quatro Cerberus, Baccus!"
Hiccuping, Bacchus had trouble keeping up. "I can't do it...This hangover from last night..."
However, Yuka did 'Wave-Motion Boost!', allowing him to release masses of energy from his palms as he ran forwards. "You won't be able to use magic inside my wave!"
"Don't you dare...underestimate the chub!" Risley ran on the side of the Chariot, doing gravity magic.
"There it is! Risley's Gravity Transformation! She avoided Yuka's 'Wave-Motion' and is racing along the outside of the Chariots!" Chapati announced.
"A wave that eliminates magic...?" Ichiya said. "Then...Fast-Feet Perfume: Point-Blank Inhale!" Hence, he inhaled two of his perfumes into his nose, allowing him to run ahead of Yuka and Risley.
"Oh? They're really getting into it. It makes my spirit tremble." Bacchus said as he watched them. "Maybe I'll get serious too, for just a bit." Stomping his left foot on the Chariot he's occupying, he made the ones in front of him fly in the air, shocking everyone as the fell. Seeing his chance, he ran in front of Yuka, Ichiya, and Risley. "See you at the finish line! But if you fall off, you lose!"
"What was that...?" Ichiya asked.
"A dirty trick!" Yuka complained.
"Don't underestimate the chub..." Risley said as she sat on the Chariot, sweating.
"You're not chubby, now!" Chapati, Sora, and Magi yelled. Meanwhile, Bacchus ran in front of Kuro, ending up in first place. "And with that, he's across the finish line in 1 quick spurt! Quatro Cerberus gets 10 points!"

"Didn't think that Quatro Guild had a guy like that..." Sin said as he crossed his arms over his chest.
"Who knew they had someone like that..." Aladdin shrugged his shoulders.
"And after him is Raven Tail's Kurohebi! Then Risley in 3rd, Yuka in 4th, and Ichiya in 5th!" Chapati announced. Looking at Gajeel, Natsu, and Sting in the Lacrima, he sweat dropped. "And all that's left are those 3 in that pathetic race to be last..."
As Natsu slowly walked, trying not to throw up, Gajeel covered his mouth. "T-this can't be...I've always been fine...on moving vehicles..."
Looking towards them, Sting gulped down his saliva as he sweated profusely, smirking. "Then...you finally joined us...as a full-fledged Dragon Slayer...Congrats...new guy!"
However, that only irritated Gajeel. As he was about to make Sting fall off, Natsu came between them, upon realizing something horrific. "I can't work up any strength!"
"Natsu...Gajeel..."Sora mumbled, worried for them. 'You can do it! I know you can!'
"Oh...? This is what he meant by 'getting worked up'." Orga said.
"This isn't on purpose, is it, Rogue?" Rufus asked.
"All Dragon Slayers get sick on moving vehicles...it seems." Looking down, Rogue frowned. 'I always thought it was just us two.' Looking towards Sora, he watched her every move. 'I wonder how she deals with it...'
"Do you think Laxus does also?" Mira asked.
"Don't say a word to anybody else!" Laxus warned.
"Secret's between us, but everyone outta know by now, considerin' you're a Dragon Slayer." Sora said as she kept her eyes on Natsu. However, upon feeling eyes on her, she looked towards Sabertooth. When she saw it was Rogue, she cocked her head to the side, confused. When she saw him looking away, she looked at him suspiciously. 'Wonder what his problem is...'
With Rogue, as he saw Sora notice his stare, he looked away, blushing. Covering his face with his arm, he tried to keep his composure and let no one see his face.
Meanwhile, Natsu had had enough. Gathering up strength, he shouted, "I gotta...move forward!" As he walked in front of Sting and Gajeel, who was close on his heel, Natsu stumbled, trying not to fall.
"This is really not cool! He's getting serious even though he can't get any power going." Sting complained. Glancing towards Sora, he looked back at Gajeel and Natsu, his face twitching from annoyance. 'And he's making me look bad in front of Sora.'
Trying to look smug, he smirked as he stumbled to walk forwards. "F-fine...You can have this match! From here on in, we'll win every time! So, we don't need a measly 1 or 2 points!"
Smirking, Gajeel looked at Sting. "Don't go cryin' over your missing point later, Kiddo!" Hence, Natsu and him screamed as they moved forwards.
Puffing out oxygen, Sting watched them. "Answer me one question...why did you guys even come to the Games? I'd never imagine the old Fairy Tail doing that! It's like, now you care how strong you are, or what other people think...The Fairy Tail I used to know marched to their own beat. They never gave a crap what anybody thought!" Thus, shocking Fairy Tail.
As Natsu crawled forwards, he simply said, "It's for my friends! For 7 years...all that time...they waited for us! It was hard on 'em...They had sad times...they got humiliated, but they just endured it...and kept protecting the Guild...It's for my friends! I want to show 'em...that Fairy Tail will live on! That's why I gotta move forward!" As Fairy Tail heard this, they all started crying tears, others smiling.
"You know, Sora and Natsu really do know how to move people." Sin said, smiling.
"Almost like you." Muu said, crossing his arms over his chest, eyes watching everyone.
"What is that supposed to mean?!"
"Well...You do make a speech when it comes to fighting..." Aladdin sweat dropped.
"Aladdin, you're not on his side, are you?!" And so, Magi bickered as Morg and Kouen watched them, looking left and right.
"Fairy Tail A, Natsu, comes in 6th for 2 points! And in 7th is Fairy Tail B, Gajeel, for 1 Point!" Chapati said as they fell forwards, smiling. "Sabertooth's Sting is out of the running with 0 points!" Meanwhile, the audience were moved by Fairy Tail, earning Fairy Tail a cheering crowd at last.
However, Sting's face simply darkened as he watched Natsu. " 'For your friends'? That's just pathetic."

Dauntless: Origins
Snow white hair, blue eyes, pale. Devil, monster, mutt, failure. This story follows one Tyr Faeron, crown prince, heir primus and mass murderer. A wrathful, angry, and lost young man that has made it his goal to hunt down the men that killed his mother - and he is on the cusp of finishing the promise he'd made before her cairn stones so many years ago. On the surface he is duplicitous, whimsical, and base of cunning - but within the depths beyond the many masks he wears, something is waiting. Waiting for an end, the end he'd come to long for, whether it be to himself or any possible threats in his vicinity. After that long labor of vengeance is completed... Nobody knows, not even him - an arrogant and otherwise solitary individual with nothing in the way of friends - only the brothers of the blackguard who follow him through life as he pursues this mission. He was born a prince, but he'd be called a disappointment - failing to manifest the great power that he was born to before being summarily discarded by his father, a 250 year old 'primus'. That word again... Men who can shatter mountains and level cities, that's what he was supposed to be. Some call them demi-gods, all Tyr sees is a poor excuse for a parent. Time had made him bitter, cruel, and arguably psychotic - seeing only enemies wherever he looks. They'd come for him, too, one day - to wipe the slate clean and make room for another - and it's his conviction to ensure that he dies while taking as many of those rats with him. This is a story about finding acceptance, growth, and understanding - from the point of view of a cold and brutal individual who wears many masks. Of someone who was born to be the greatest emperor the eastern continent has ever seen - but he failed in that. Strong, yes, but only in the context of a man - Tyr's magic is weak. His convictions are weak. He has been made a beast of instinct by loss and a constant confronting of his own impotency in the face of his father. A mythos that stretches across planes, of magic, a pantheon of cruel gods. Of someone who's dedicated his entire mind to the art of killing a man, and none to living a normal childhood or coming to understand friendship, empathy, or compassion. The first five years of his life a mystery, a hole none have ever been willing to fill, leaving him warped and twisted. His formative years gone and what must've been most of his humanity along with it. Now 17, he is on the cusp of leaving the city he'd never been permitted to leave for what might be the first time in his life. Always searching, though he won't know what for, for some time. An episodic that follows experience and symbolism rather than a never ending series of battles - where the conflict lay in constantly searching for wholeness in lieu of great villains or heroes. This is where it all started, the origin, the tale told a million times - and yet it hadn't been, 'reality' is tricky like that. The greatest lie ever told by the tongue that speaks is that any of this was real at all.
