《Grand Magic Games: Fairy Tail X Magi Crossover》Chapter 2

As most of Fairy Tail were on a ship heading to where Tenrou Island was located, they questioned if they were really close.
"Is it really around here?" Bisca asked, putting down her binoculars.
"There's nothing to see..." Alzack commented.
While Droy continued eating, Warren stood beside him looking at the sea. "According to those Pegasus guys, there was something about 'Eternano' in this part of this ocean..."
"What's 'Eternano' in the first place, anyway?" Max asked while looking at the map.
"How am I meant to know? Probably something like little particles of magic, right?"
"Was it really ok not to bring Romeo along?" Biska turned towards Alzack.
"We should have brought him along, by force if necessary."
"It's not a certainty that everyone is still alive." Max was being reasonable, at least...
"We shouldn't get our hopes up..." Warren agreed.
However, Jet and Droy were ecstatic. They put their arms around each others necks and chanted, "We can see Levy again! We can see Levy again!"
"So noisy!" Warren's jaw dropped. Closing his mouth, a drop of sweat poured down his face. "There's been no word in over seven years. Think about the worst case scenario as well!" Silence was the answer.
Suddenly, they noticed a figure in the distance. "What...is that?" Max asked.
"A person...? How?! It's on top of the ocean!" Warren was astonished. "S-she's standing on it! Who is it?!"
As she smiled at them, she raised her hands in the air. Waves formed around her, but that wasn't all. Tenrou Island was raised out of the ocean with a barrier surrounding it entirely.
"Tenrou Island/It's Tenrou Island...!" Both Max and Warren's jaws dropped. However, the girl simply started to walk towards Tenrou.
"That woman! She went to Tenrou Island!" Warren pointed at her.
"After her! Hurry!" Max stated.
As they were trying to catch up to her, everyone shouted for her to wait for them, even on the Island. It wasn't fair that she was out of reach with them running. She practically floated above the ground, though they couldn't see since she was far away.
"What's up with that woman!" Biska asked.
"But she did show us the location of Tenrou Island..." Alzack said. "Maybe she'll lead us to where everyone is..."

"I-I see!" Warren said.
"Don't lose sight of her!" Jet was in the lead. Getting ahead of everyone, he suddenly stopped, making everyone stop with him. Before anyone could ask what was wrong, they saw something that gave them hope.
"Natsu..." Alzack said. Natsu was laying on his stomach, covered with dirt and rocks.
Meanwhile~~~~~~
Back at the Guild, Raki was cleaning a table while Romeo read a book.
"Romeo...was it really a good idea for you not to go along?" Makao asked, a smile forced while sweat poured down out of nervousness.
"Even if Tenrou Island is found...there's no telling whether everyone is alive, right?"
"Nonsense! we have to believe!" Nab exclaimed.
"There's been no word in over 7 years." Everyone sighed at Romeo's blunt answer.
However, Teebo and his goons returned, smashing the door out of the way. "There are a lot fewer people here today... Rather than a Guild, what is this? Some sort of friendship club...?" Some smirked while others laughed.
"Teebo! Payment's due next month, isn't it?!" Wakaba asked.
"Our Master, well, you see...he said that simply won't do... It's a problem if payments are not made on schedule... If Master's said it, then it can't be helped..." Before anyone could stop him, Romeo interrupted him.
"We don't have any money to pay you guys..." He closed his book shut.
"Stop it, Romeo." Makao stood up.
"What's up with that attitude, you little brat...?" Teebo was starting to get agitated.
"To have been tamed by punks like these...Father and everyone are cowards...!" Romeo started to use his magic. "I'm going to fight! If things keep up fairy Tail's name will be worthless!" Fire formed in his hand while his other hand was clenched in a fist. However, Teebo sighed and dispersed his magic, shocking Romeo.
While getting his bat(?), he said, "You guys will never be above us, as long as you live!" Before he could hurt Romeo, two certain pink-heads kicked him behind, sending him flying into a wall, shocking everyone. Before Teebo's goons could beat the mysterious figure, other mysterious figures beat them too. One tooth flew in the process as they fell face first.
Getting a good look at them, it was the gang from Tenrou. Some questioned what's wrong with the Guild while others said they were home.

"Y-you guys..." Makao said everyone's thoughts, especially Romeo's who was silenced out of shock.
"So young!" Rika said, crying.
"They haven't changed at all since 7 years ago!" Nab cried.
"Well thanks~!" Sora grinned. "Guess it's 'cause we're naturally young."
"Hey!" Nab pointed at her.
"What happened...?" Bijitor cried.
Lucy looked down. "Umm, well..."
Flashback~~~~~~
As Max and Jet were trying to get Natsu and Sora out of the rubble, they shouted for him to wake up.
"What~?! Shut up!" As Natsu was annoyed, Jet and Droy tackled him to the ground out of happiness. Air was knocked out of him. "What the heck happened...?! Why did you guys come here..." He was sweating. Sitting up, he pointed at them while Max joined them. "And by the way...did you age a bit?!" His eyes popped out.
"You haven't changed at all!" Max scratched the back of his head.
"And Droy got fat...!" Droy was too happy to comment. Laying down, he said, "We just got hit by Acnologia's attack..." He suddenly jolted up. "What 'bout everyone else?!" Before anyone could answer, the girl returned.
"Right here." This made everyone turn towards her.
"...Who?!" Droy asked what was on everyone's mind.
"My name is Mavis. Fairy Tail's First Master, Mavis Vermillion." Everyone's jaws dropped. She smiled and turned around, walking away with them following close behind. As they finding everyone, they asked her questions but she merely stated, "Why don't we find everyone first?" As they found everyone, the only one left was Sora.
"Now, Sora's just missing..." Max scratched his head, looking around.
Getting on all fours, Natsu sniffed the ground. Standing up, he sniffed the air.
"Natsu...what are you doing...?" Everyone sweat dropped. However, Natsu's eyes brightened and he started running away. They shouted for him to stop, but he continued. Finally, he stopped close to a tree. Searching, he found Sora still asleep. She was snoring while a snot bubble was threatening to pop. While shaking her, they watched the scene. "N-Natsu, I-I wouldn't d-do that..." Max stuttered, knowing where this was going. He was scared since he woke her many times, most ending in a punch to the face.
However, Natsu wasn't listening. He shouted for her to wake up. Once he did, she punched him, knocking him down. "Shut up, Max! You're gonna give me a headache." Rubbing her ears, she turned to who it was. "Oh, it's you..." She gave Natsu an expressionless look.
"Don't 'oh, it's you...' me!" He tackled her to a hug, eyes sparkling.
While he clung onto her, she looked towards Droy. "Hey Droy, did ya get fat...?" Getting a good look at the rest, she narrowed her eyes. "And why do all look so...old...~"
"Why don't I explain..." Mavis coughed into her hand. After everyone settled down, she started to explain. "Back then...I took the strength of everyone's bonds and faith...and converted all of it into magical power. All of your thoughts allowed one of the three Great Fairy Magics...'Fairy Sphere' to be activated... It is a magic that will protect the Guild from any evil, an absolute defensive magic. However, everyone was sealed in a frozen state...
Though it's been released, a span of seven years has passed..." While saying this, everyone was shocked. They didn't know what to say since they were processing this new information."
Makarov was trembling with tears. "What now... So the First protected us, huh..."
"No...I'm just an ethereal body. Since I converted everyone's strength into magic, I had to give it my all." She started to float in the air. "Unwavering faith and resilient bonds will bring even miracles to your side." Looking towards Makarov, she tilted her head while smiling with her eyes closed. "It's become a wonderful Guild...Third.
Flashback over~~~~~~~
"...she said... Ah, well." Makarov sat cross-legged on a table.
While Romeo was trembling, Natsu and Sora noticed him. They walked towards him, smiles brightening.
"You're all grown up, Romeo."
Sora put her hands on her hip. "Can't believe you've already become a man!"
As everyone was crying, well the ones who didn't sleep for seven years, Romeo finally cried his heart out. All the feeling he held in poured out in this moment. "Welcome back! Natsu-nii! Sora-nee! Everyone!"

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14

This is my first story here on RRL and it's becomming one of the things I look forward to working on each day. As of June 2020, the story description has been updated (now that the characters have told me what was actually going on this author thought it prudent to update this) . Updates will be sporatic as i have time to juggle real life with writing. You the readers have become an integral part of the story helping to decide how things will progress, so enjoy the story and please leave a review or rating so this author can continue to improve the story. New chapters coming soon with edits to existing ones in process As a side note, I wish I could add a science tag to this. While this is still fiction, I have been incorporating real life scientific theories and explanations for how things could be *plausibly* explained. (No, I will not lecture on these points, but they are added to author notes) ~badw0lf
