Chapter two
Nishi smirked, easily dodging Sharrkan's attack. Sharrkan was one of Sinbad's eight generals, and was a very good swordsman. Nishi continued dodging and redirecting Sharrkan's attacks, then got an idea. She used a spell Yamuraiha had taught her, 'Sharrar Magd', making herself invisible to Sharrkan. She then quickly moved behind Sharrkan and hit him with the back of her sword, staggering him.
"Hey! You can't use magic! That's cheating!!" Sharrkan exclaimed. "Come out you stupid magician!!"
Nishi laughed and made herself visible. It had taken a lot of begging before Sharrkan agreed to train her, he hated magicians. But Nishi wasn't sure it was hate really, sure, him and Yamuraiha- the magician in Sindria- fought a lot, but Nishi could tell they respected each other. "I win." She smiled, sheathing her sword.
"No you don't! You cheated!" Sharrkan accused.
"Oops." Nishi shrugged, still smiling. She had been in Sindria for about three -almost four- years now, training with Yamuraiha and Sharrkan the entire time. Yamuraiha was amazing at water magic, and had taught Nishi a lot, but she didn't know as much with healing magic. And Sharrkan was great as well, Nishi knew a lot about swordsmanship now. Sharrkan pouted and Nishi chucked again, saying goodbye to him before walking off.
Nishi walked around the palace, not really sure where to go. She was done training for the day, with both Sharrkan and Yamuraiha, and she had nothing else to do. "What to do, what to do?"
"Hmm..." Nishi thought aloud. She was now walking around the streets, watching everyone go about their day. "Maybe I can go explore somewhere outside of Sindria? I haven't gone outside the country since I got here..." She watched the white rukh flying around her and the townspeople. It still amazes me how nice of a country this is...

She noticed a group of rukh that were acting different than usual. "Hmm..." Nishi followed the rukh to a young boy. She narrowed her eyes and walked closer to the boy. Two others walked over to him and the blue hair boy turned around to greet them. Nishi noticed the girl was a Fanalis. Another Fanalis, huh...cool...I wonder who they are?
The blue haired boy suddenly looked directly at Nishi and she stopped walking. "Uhm, hello." Nishi greeted the trio.
"Hello." The boy greeted. "Miss, who are you?"
"My name's Nishi...I'm Sindria's magi." She smiled. After coming to Sindria, Nishi began to love everything about the country and decided with Sinbad to become it's magi.
"Sindria's magi?" A boy around Nishi's age with short blond hair echoed.
"You're a magi?" The blue haired boy asked.
"Mhm." Nishi nodded.
"So that's why the rukh like you..." The boy looked around her at the rukh that swarmed them.
"Wait, you see the rukh too?" Nishi looked at him with confusion. "What's your name?" She asked. She was curious if he was the one magi she hadn't met yet. Nishi knew Yunan obviously, and had met Scheherazade once before, leaving Judar, the last magi that was supposed to be in this era.
"Aladdin. I'm a magi too." The boy explained.
"Seriously...?" Nishi frowned, that means there's still another magi. "Another magi? Do you have any King's Candidates?" She looked over the two people beside Aladdin, searching for a metal vessel. Her eyes stopped on the blond. He had a sword on him with the djinn mark on it. "Oh...I see. Hello, I'm Nishi." She offered her hand to him.
"Alibaba..." He shook her hand. "And she's Morgiana."

Nishi smiled at the female Fanalis, "Nice to meet you." She turned back to Aladdin, "What kinds of magic can you do, Aladdin?"
"Oh, not much...I only know 'Halharl Infigar' right now..." Aladdin answered.
"Fire magic, huh?" Nishi was glad he was friendly, she was bad at fighting against fire magic, even if she used water magic. And she also had a hard time fighting Fanalis.
"What kind of magic can you do, miss?"
"I do water and healing magic." Nishi smiled confidently.
"Oh cool!"
Nishi smiled more, then asked Alibaba, "What's your djinn's name?" She knew a few of them, she obviously hadn't talked to them before, but she had heard of a few of the dungeons from Yunan.
"Amon." Alibaba answered, confused why she wanted to know.
Nishi nodded, "Awesome." Isn't he the old weird one? Nishi thought. "Did you three just get to Sindria? I can show you around if you'd like? I believe Sinbad is still in...oh where was it again?" She tried to remember where Sinbad had told her he was going.
"Isn't he going to the Kou empire?" Alibaba asked.
"Yea! There!" Nishi exclaimed. She was surprised she'd forgotten about the large empire.

Nishi showed the trio around Sindria, and also got to know them more. To her, they were all very nice people, but she could tell they had a lot to learn. Even Alibaba, who was only a year younger than her seemed to be oblivious to some things. She also had noticed that Alibaba seemed a little out of sorts, like something was bothering him. Nishi wondered what they'd gone through in Balbadd, but she didn't dare ask.
That night, Nishi left the three and headed back to her room, exhausted. "Maybe I'll go explore for a while...Or maybe visit Yunan." She smiled at the thought of the older magi, he was like a father to her and she kind of felt homesick.

Lear County Outlook
Based on true events in my life. Think of these stories as H P Lovecraft meets Rob Zombie. Each story has pieces, confessions, from the rural decay of Appalachia wrapped in horror and madness. All are set in the fictional county of Lear, which is a dark mirror held up to surface, idealized countryside. Blood and familial ties bind deep in a hopeless and rotted south. Tales are whispered of Hill Witches and Demons. Shunned communities molder. All these truths are hidden in the stories of deceit and lies. The first arc revolves around theft and exploitation at one of the last factories of Lear County. Abuse of power draws all down the path of madness.
