We walked along the route to the palace, but the weird thing is Mabel is the one showing the way.
"Hey Mabel, how do you know the route to the palace so well?" Aladdin asked as he walked along side me.
"At least I wasn't the only one thinking that." I thought as I sighed in relief.
"Well, um, you see I have tried sneaking into the palace a couple of times but was always stopped by someone." she said with an awkward smile.
"Why were you trying to sneak in, do you have a death wish or something." Alibaba said face palming.
"I've always wanted to see what the inside if the palace looks like, so I tried sneaking in." she said smiling happily to herself. We soon came to the entrance of the palace.
"Who goes there?" said one of the guards.
"It's Alibaba Salujia, we have came to see the king." he said to the guard. He nodded and opened the gate to the palace. Me and the other three girls looked up in amazement at the beautiful palace in front of us.
"Wow this place is amazing." I said running through the gate.
"Yes it is." Isabelle said happily running up next to me.
"Alibaba, Morgianna, Hakuryuu, Aladdin, it's good to see you back safe and sound." said a man walking up to us. He had white hair and freckles going across his nose and deep green eyes.
"Jafar, it good to see you, we brought some friends of ours here with us." Hakuryuu said pointing to us.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, I'm Quinn, this is Ashlin, Isabelle, and Mabel." Quinn said introducing us. He smiled at each of us but glare at Mabel.
"Not you again." he said coldly. Mabel just rolled her eyes at him and glared back crossing her arms.
"Hello, Jafar." she said bluntly.
"And I'm guess he's the one who always stopped you from sneaking in." I said with a sweat drop.
"Yup, ever time." she said with a smile at me.
"Leave now before I hurt you." Jafar said pulling out is weapon. I stepped inbetween the two and glared at Jafar.
"You hurt her, your going to be going through living hell from me." I said in a scary tone sending shivers down everyone's back. He was startled at how terrifying I could be.
"Like your can hurt me." he said putting his weapon away and yawned. I growled at him pissed off.
"OK, why don't we all just calm down, Jafar weather you like it or not Mabel is your friends so no kicking her out." Alibaba said with a grin trying to calm us down.
"Like the hell she's staying here." Jafar said pissed.
"Jafar, that is enough." said a voice behind him. I looked past him to see a man with purple hair smiling on us. Jafar nodded and backed away. I heard Alibaba sigh in relief next to me.
"Hello, I'm Sinbad, king of Sindria, its nice to meet you." he said shaking our hands.
"Sin, do we have to let her be here." Jafar said glaring at Mabel.
"She's a guest and you will have to respect that." Sinbad said in a stern voice. "anyways I see you have met Jafar, this taller man standing next to me is Masrur." Masrur was a very tall muscular man with red hair and eyes just like Morgianna.
"Where did he come from." Isabelle said a little creepied out.

"I can tell he's the silent type." Quinn said laughing a little from Isabelle.
"It's nice to meet you, I'm Ashlin, this is Isabelle and Quinn, and I don't think I need to introduce her." I said as we all sweat drop at Jafar and Mabel Glaring at each other.
"God, your going be so annoying." Jafar said rubbing his temples in annoyance.
"Well, you'll just have to deal with it won't you." Mabel said with an evil grin.
"Mabel, you should stop arguing with him because you'll never win." Quinn said walking up besides Jafar. He smiled happily that someone appreciates him.
"She is right, a foul smelling animal like you should leave in the my presents." He said with a large evil grin. Mabel got pissed by that saying and pulled out her grappling hook and pointed it at his face. She looked at us and asked.
"Can I shoot him?" but before anyone could answer she pulled the trigger, firing.
"NNNNNNOOOOOO!!!!!" Quinn yelled jumping in front of Jafar to protect him. It hit her in the shoulder as she fell onto the ground in pain. Jafar face palmed at her stupidity while me and the others laughed, well except Masrur and Morgianna.
"Worth it." She said getting up from the ground holding her shoulder.
"Ok, now that we are all sorted out, how about we go inside." Sinbad said leading us into the palace. It was huge and nicely decorated with beautiful flowers. We walked for a few minutes looking at every detail of the palace. Sinbad walked in front of the group talking to Jafar about being polite to Mabel.
"Hey, Ashlin." Quinn said quickly walking up to me with a low whisper.
"What?" I asked back in a whisper.
"Do you think that Sinbad's hair is really soft because it looks soft." she said making sure no one else heard. I looked at his back with is ponytail swaying back and forth.
"I don't know." I said to her making me curious also. I saw Jafar look at us suspiciously. I just smiled at waved making quickly look back forward.
"Hey, Sinbad, can I ask you something?" I asked him as he turned around and looked at me.
"Sure, what is it?" he asked with a smile.
"She was wondering if your hair was soft or not." I said pointing at Quinn. She looked at me wide eyes and flushed red from embarrassment while I just sat there smiling. He was surprised but soon answered.
"Hahaha, well I guess it is, see." he said moving is pony tail in front of him. Quinn held out her hand a stroked it.
"Wow, I was right, it is soft." she said smiling taking her hand away. Everyone behind us was trying there best to hold in their laughter, including me. She glared at us as we just sat there giggling.
"Morgianna, can you take the girls to there rooms, you know where they are." Sinbad said as she came forward taking us to our rooms. We walked down a couple of halls until we reached your destination. We each got separate rooms which were a lot bigger then you expect to be for one person. I thank Morgianna before going into my room. It had white marble walls with a deep sea blue rug. The bed had silk sheets on it that were blue. There was a large patio door that lead out to a balcony. There was a large dresser sitting beside the bed against the wall. I walked over to the bed and set my stuff down and started to unpack my things into the dresser. I reached in and grabbed the teddy bear that Chloe gave me. I smiled as I set in on top on the night stand on the other side of the bed neatly. Once I was done packing I walked out on to the balcony and stared out at the beautiful sea. Below there was a beautiful garden planted with many different colored flowers. I sighed as I remember the events of this morning.

"How the hell am I suppose to figure out who I truly am." I said leaning against the railing my head in my hands.
"Boom!" I heard a loud sounds making me jump and almost crap myself. I look to my right were the entrance to the palace is and saw smoke. Out of instinct I ran out of my room and to the entrance.
"Ashlin, what's going on?!" Quinn said running out of her room along with Isabelle.
"I don't know, but your about to find out." I said as we made it to the entrance. There was a large crowd of servants and soldiers standing there. We squeezed threw until we reached the front were we found Sinbad glaring upwards. I look up to see a man floating in the air. He had black hair that was braid and went down to his feet and red eyes as cold as ever. Alibaba and the others we're standing on the other side of Jafar who was standing next to Sinbad.
"What are you doing here, Judar." Sinbad asked with annoyance in is voice.
"Just here to have a little fun, that's all." he said with a smuged smile. His smile vanished when he saw me and my friends but soon reappeared with a evil grin.
"Well, look here, I see you made new friends, I'm guess there weaker that baka over there." he said pointing at Alibaba. I glared at him, balling my hands into fists. I hate it when people saw stiuff like that about my friends. He notice and his grin grew wider.
"Someone looks mad, what did I strick some fear in you." he said laughing.
"Ashlin, don't let him get to you, that's what he wants." Sinbad said putting a hand on my shoulder. I relaxed and just glared at him. I soon see the Rukh flying around him and was a little surprised.
"Black Rukh?" I said quietly but Sinbad heard it.
"Wait, you can see them?" he asked, I nodded shocking him a little. He soon smile at Judar with confidence making him all confused.
"What's up with the smile, king moron." Judar asked floating down to the ground and walking up to me. He approaches me with his face inches away from mine. He smiles at me and holds out his hand.
"Why don't we work together, you have a metal vessel on you so that's means you captured a dungeon, so what do you say, want to help me." he said smiling with confidence. I sighed and knocked his hand away shocking him by my actions.
"I would never work with a man that is surrounded by darkness." I said bluntly. His smile soon turned to one of anger.
"Also a man that is surrounded by the darkness of the black Rukh, should never be aloud to be in the presents of the king." I said taking a step forward to him making him step back.
"Ha, you don't scare me." he said with a chuckle. Everyone was watching everything unfold, amazed that I would stand up to him.
"You have no idea you are up against, I'm a Magi, the most powerful human being in the world." he said pulling out is wand. I just sat there with no expression on my face. I soon felt some kind of power surge threw me, it was a nice warm feeling inside that showed that I can defeat this guy.
"Um, Sinbad, this is when we should step back like a lot." Quinn said slowly sinking into the crowd in terror along with Isabelle. Sinbad took that as his cue to get everyone back.
"Everyone, get back." He yelled as everyone slowly backed away. Once everyone was far enough away a smile crawled onto my lips making Judar shiver a little.
"I know what I'm dealing with, and I know that I'm going to kick your fucking ass." I said as I got into my hand to hand combat position.
"Fine then you want to play the hard way, then the hard way it is." Judar said collecting water and turning it into a bunch of ice shards. He flung one at me as I moved to the side dodging it easily. He sent two more as I duck down and off to the side dodging them again. He started to get pissed at flung five more, I moved my upper body the side again catching on of the ice shards and throwing it back at him. He was surprised as it hit is barrier shattering it. I took the opportunity to run forward and swung my leg around hitting him in the ribs. On impact all I hear is a large crunch and sent him flying into the wall on the others side which was about 200 yards away from where I'm standing. It created a large crater as he fell to the ground. He slowly stood up holding his side.
"What's the matter, did I break a couple of ribs." I siad smirking walking to him.
"How the hell can you hit that hard!" he yelled really pissed now. I walked up to him as he sent a large spike at me, I did a back flip as it went under me scraping my arm in the process. I landed on my feet as blood slowly dropped from my arm. I glared at him as I ran to him kicking him in the head down to the ground making another crater, he slowly looked up at me.
"Who know a Magi like you could be so weak." I said as I glared down at him a shadow covering my eyes. He then past out, unconscious. I turned on my heels and walked away from the unconscious Judar laying in the ground. Everyone in the crowd had there mouths wide open, even Masrur. Isabelle and Quinn came running up to me laughing as they hugged me. I giggled as I hugged them back.
"Wow that was amazing, you were never that strong before." Quinn said with sparkles in her eyes along with Isabelle.
"I don't know why, but I felt this power surge through me, giving me strength." I said looking at my hand and balling it into a fist.
"Ashlin, come with me please." Sinbad said sternly walking back into the palace.
"This can be good." I mumbled to myself before following him. We came to a secluded spot so nobody can hear our conversation, Aladdin came as well.
"Ashlin, do you know what the necklace is." Sinbad asked.
"No I don't, but I was told it was important and that I must never take it off." I said as Aladdin stood next to me silently listening.
"That necklace was forged by the first Magi that came to this world, it as the ability to allow the person to use the power of a god." he said looking at Aladdin making sure he understands. I was confused by all of this.
"You see Ashlin, only special people who have the ability to see the Rukh are able to use it, but the only people who could use it were Magi's, some how you have the ability to see the Rukh, I read about it once in a book, that's why when we we're on the ship I wanted to look at it." Aladdin said with a serious gaze. I nodded understanding what he meant.
"Ashlin, I'm going to use Solomons Wisdom tomorrow on you to let you explore your past to see how you got this ability, but before I do, I am going to warn you that Judar more likely saw that necklace and he will come after you so I wish you to be careful." he said with a small smile.
"I promise I will and anyways if he tries hurting my friends I will not hold back to hurt him." I said rubbing Aladdin's head making him laugh. I looked out side to see that sun was reaching the horizon.
"It's getting late, we shall continue this conversation tomorrow." Sinbad said as me and Aladdin nodded in agrement.
"Wait, what are we suppose to do with Judar." I asked seeing that the crowd was gone and all our friends were waiting for us, along with an unconscious Judar on Masrur's shoulder.
"We will have to heal him and send him back to the Kou Empire after treatment." Sinbad said with a sigh. "why, are you worried about him."
"Well, he is an ass, but that doesn't mean he should die." I said with a shrug. Soon everyone surrounded me and gave me a big hug.
"That was awesome." they all said in unison. I smiled then yawned from exhaustion
"Yea, I don't know about you, but I'm tired so I'm going to sleep." I said walking away from everyone waving.
"Hey Ashlin, wait up!" I heard someone yell. I turn to see Alibaba running up to me.
"I did promise you that I would teach you sword fighting so tomorrow, I'm going to train you along with Sharrkan, he's one of the generals." he said with a smile. I smiled back and patted his head.
"Alright, see you tomorrow." I said as I walked away smiling happily to myself.
"I can't wait for tomorrow!" I said in my mind as I walked into my room, not even bothering changing into my pjs, and layed down on the bed and went to sleep.

The Elemental Arena
*A Rational-Adjacent litRPG Survival Series.* The time for the trials has come, pitting the mortal species of the galaxy against one another. By completing challenges, clearing dungeons, and defeating rival species, the players may forge themselves stronger and smarter. But only one species will be declared the winner. Earth has finally qualified... ...and participation is mandatory. A twenty-nine year old data entry clerk works together with a group of internationally diverse players to survive. Learning synergistic skills and using teamwork, can humanity achieve an upset? If they don't, their lives are forfeit. Author's note: Chapters will be anywhere from 6k to 10k in words, varying based on the plot beats instead of specific word counts. Realistic actions and teamwork will be important aspects of my story. I'm trying something a little different in writing a realism focused litRPG, hoping to capture the essence of how real people would react to their situation. People are complex and don't always get along. I don't recommend starting the series expecting wish fulfillment tropes just because it's tagged litRPG. It's a survival story with the game settings on Hell difficulty. The plot hasn't gotten there yet, but in the future of the series I want to recreate my nostalgia of forty person raids on Ragnaros, but with the high stakes of boss battles in Sword Art Online. I also love puzzle rooms so expect one of those each book. Warnings: mild PG-rated language, graphic violence and gore, and graphic medical content.
