"I'm scared." Y/N said.

Today is the day. After finalizing everything and choosing which hospital will best fit Y/N, they immediately made an appointment, and in just a few minutes, Y/N will go inside the operating room for her surgery.

Losing her eyesight for years really messed her up, and now she's scared that this operation will fail. Her judgment as a doctor really keeps bugging her mind. She was a doctor, one of the best, and she knows that this kind of operation doesn't always work.

"It's gonna be okay, my love." Scarlett said, holding Y/N's hand and kissing her knuckles.

The kids are currently in school, but they all slept together in one bed last night. Since Y/N didn't want to show the kids that she was scared, Y/N just told the kids that she wants to cuddle.

"Don't think of the what if's, okay? I have faith in this. You'll have your eyesight back, baby. I know it." Scarlett said, "And when you're done with the surgery, I'll be here with the kids. We'll take care of you, okay?"

Y/N smiles, nodding her head. "Okay."

"That's my good girl." Scarlett said, smiling.

Y/N just blushed.

Scarlett chuckled. "Anyway, clear your mind, my moon, because this will be successful and I can't wait for you to see the world again." She said.

"Me too, Scar." Y/N said, smiling. "Me too."

Just then, a knock was heard before the door opened. A doctor walked in with two nurses following behind him. The doctor smiles and he walked towards the bed.

"Hey, Y/N. Are you ready?" Dr. Dean, Y/N's old mentor, asked.

Y/N thought that if someone was to operate on her, she'd want someone she could trust in the medical field. So, she chose the hospital she used to work in and specifically asked for her mentor to do the surgery. Though, even if she didn't asked for him, the doctor would still take the case because he wants to make sure that Y/N will have the best surgery and knowing what she went through, he knows Y/N would want someone familiar.

Y/N smiles a little, "I am."

Dr. Dean smiles and nodded his head, "Great, you know the drill, okay? We'll put you through anesthesia and we will wait for it to take effect." He said.

"Yeah, I remember." Y/N answered, smiling a little. She's nervous, excited, and hopeful. She really wants this operation to work.

"I don't doubt that," Dr. Dean said, smiling. "Okay, I'll go and prepare now. I'll see you, Dr. L/N." He said.

Scarlett smiles.

Y/N just nodded her head, smiling a little. It's been so long since someone called her that.

As Dr. Dean walked out, the nurses started to bring Y/N to the operating room, and Scarlett didn't let go of Y/N's hand. The actress keeps squeezing her girl's hand, a way of telling her that everything will be fine. She's also nervous. That's normal. Her girlfriend is about to enter the operating room while she'll wait for the surgery to be done. That's nerve-racking. But she's positive that this will work. She's positive that after this surgery, Y/N will regain her eyesight.

"Okay, Ms. Johansson, this is as far as you can go." One of the nurses said, smiling at Scarlett.

Y/N licked her lips and biting her bottom lip.

"I'll be here, hon. Don't be afraid, I'll be here." Scarlett whispered to Y/N as she hugged her girlfriend.

"Kiss me, Scarlett." Y/N said, she didn't care anymore if someone's there. She's about to have a surgery, and all she wants to feel at the moment is her girlfriend.

Scarlett didn't need to be told twice or asked questions. She pulled away from the hug and gently cupped her girlfriend's face, closing her eyes and leaning in. She sighs when her lips met Y/N's. She heard the nurses gasping, but she didn't care. She will do anything for Y/N, and if that means coming out like that, then so be it. She's not afraid of what the people will say, as long as Y/N's with her. Y/N and their kids are all she cares about.

Once air's needed, the couple pulled away.

Scarlett gave Y/N's lips three pecks, whispering how much she loves her girlfriend. "I'll wait for you, love. I'll be here." She said.

"I know." Y/N said, smiling. She feels a lot better now. "Tell the kids that I'll be fine and... I'll see them soon." She said, smiling widely now. "I'll see you all soon."

Scarlett smiles, "I will."

Scarlett watch as her girlfriend and the nurses disappeared inside the operating room, she sighed once the door closed. She's hopeful, she knows this will work.
