"So, [Y/N]... How'd you sleep?" Yang slid up next to you, wrapping an arm around your shoulders. You were organizing some things in your locker, but then closed it as soon as the blonde arrived (you still didn't have a weapon, but hey! You still got your Advent Decks!).
You yawned and just shrugged your shoulders. "Dreamt about being displaced and transported to a fantasy world where I have to fight against villains and monsters, so I guess I got some decent sleep. How about you?"
The lilac-eyed female laid her head on your shoulder, enveloping you with her whole body. "I slept fine, but it would've been better if you were there laying next to me..." You blushed to think of how that would've turned out, but then slapped away the thought.
"Yang, we have our own beds for a reason." You said with rolled eyes and began to walk over towards Ruby's direction with Yang attached to the left side of your body. "Nooo! Let's be alone together!" She whined and snuggled down on your neck.
"Oh, goodmorning, [Y/N]! And-- Yang!? What on earth are you doing?!" Ruby called at the top of her voice, possibly making you deaf. All your efforts to squirm out of Yang's grasp had proven to be useless as she tightened her firm hold on you.
"Just initiating some friendly skinship with [Y/N] here! Nothing else, little sis!" The older sister said with a wide grin. She hadn't noticed that she was actually choking you instead of hugging you. Or was it both..? You weren't sure — you couldn't think straight due to the blonde squeezing you by the neck, cutting off your upper air circulation.
"Too... early... to... die...! Yang..!" You frantically tapped her arm, but she still hadn't noticed! Fortunately, Ruby was able to see that you were about to die from Yang's grasp and saved you at the speed of light.
"Thank... you..." You coughed and the younger soothingly rubbed your back. "There, there... Yang! Can't you see that you were about to choke you!? Jeez, what's got you so worked up this morning?" Ruby frowned at her older sister.
Yang chuckled, coming closer to ruffle your [H/C] hair. "I guess I did get a little carried away. I'm just kind of excited for our initiation today." Drawing in a breath of air, you cleared your throat and spoke clearly again. "And, I have no idea what we're doing that requires us to be outside. I would rather stay inside and sleep through the day."
Ruby giggled, now closing the locker door after retrieving her red scythe. "Now you sound like a total vampire. You'll miss out on all the good things if you keep doing that, [Y/N]." Yang smiles at her sister's jovial mood. "You seem awfully chipper this morning."
Ruby broadened her smile, stroking her unsheathed mechanical weapon. "Yep! No more awkward small talk or 'getting to know you' stuff. Today I get to let my sweetheart do the talking." She softly purred as she leaned her head against its red metal covering.
"Well, remember Ruby, you're not the only one going through initiation. If you want to grow up, you're going to have to meet new people and learn to work together." Yang reminded the younger girl and crossed her arms.
You nodded your head in agreement. "She's right, Rubes. If you socialize yourself with new people, it'll help you determine a tool for happiness and longevity." Her face crimsoned at your nickname for her.

"Yang... Ugh, you sound like dad! Okay, first of all what does meeting people have to do with meeting? And secondly, I don't need people to help me grow up. I drink milk!" She proudly declared, causing you and Yang to shake heads.
"Hate to break it to you, but milk doesn't make you taller. But it can be a tool to help you grow to your potential height. Keep in mind though that it doesn't MAKE you grow." You deadpanned, but Ruby pretended to not hear any of that.
Yang placed her hands on her hips, wounding up a question. "But what about when we form teams?" You could tell Ruby hadn't thought of that and hesitantly answered. "Uhm, I don't know, I-I'll just be on your team or [Y/N]'s..."
Yang slightly frowned at her answer and calmly told Ruby, "Maybe you should try being on someone else's team?" The younger sister took a step forward towards the latter, pointing a finger directly at her chest. "My dearest sister, Yang, are you implying that you do not wish to be on the same team as me!?"
"W-What!? No! Of course I do, I just thought... I don't know, maybe it would help you break out of your shell." Yang gestured the part about 'breaking out of the shell' with her hands, opening and extending them out in the air.
"What the--?! I don't need to break out of my shell, that's absolutely--!"
"Ridiculous! There's no way I put my gear in locker 636 yesterday!? I would've remembered having to count that high! Ugh, why does this have to happen today!?" Jaune cries out, unknowingly finishing Ruby's sentence.
Looking back at Ruby and Yang, the two sisters don't seem to be getting out of their family feud for a bit, so you decided to accompany Jaune. "Yo, Jaune! What's up?" You skipped to his side, peeking over to see what he had written on a loose sheet of paper.
"Oh, hey [Y/N]. I'm just trying to find which locker I put my gear in last night. I wrote down 636, but there's no 636 anywhere! Can you help me find it?" You sighed and clapped a hand to your forehead. "Jaune... the numbers go up to 400. It's either in 366 or 363. It's not that hard to remember, dude."
"Oh... my... God! You are a genius, [Y/N]! My locker is in 366! You're the best!" He hugged you close and then bolted across the room. "It's just common sense... Well then..." All of a sudden, you felt someone tap your shoulder, making you turn around to only meet the flushed face of Weiss Schnee.
"Oh great! Just when I thought my morning was going just fine... Are you here to make my morning a living hazard, princess?" You raised an eyebrow at her. The white-haired heiress circled her pale blue eyes and pressed something against your hands. Confused by her silent demeanor, your eyes drifted downward to only see your black jacket trench coat that you lent her yesterday at the opening ceremony.
"I would... like... to thank you for being so considerate and caring towards me despite everything I said yesterday... And for that, I... I want to apologize." She stated quietly, now glaring down at the ground. "I'd understand if... you don't want to forgive me..."
.....
....
...
..
.
Say what now?
Your [E/C] eyes went wide with shock at the apology. Weiss Schnee, the arrogant and spoiled brat that you encountered yesterday, is apologizing to you? Your morning started off on a bizarre note and with each passing second, things kept getting weirder!

You blinked rapidly and soon snapped out of your shocked stage. Clearing your throat once more, you dismissed her with a wave of your hand. "I'll forgive you... only if you stop acting so cold and bitchy towards Ruby. She's a nice girl, and she didn't mean any of that to happen. You should apologize or make up with her when you get the chance to do so, alright?"
"But I-- She--" You shook your head as she tried to explain herself. "No buts. If you really want to make it up to me, then apologize and make up with Ruby." Weiss wasn't in favor of this twist, but reluctantly agreed to your conditions.
This all felt so strange... Why was she suddenly apologizing to you? It almost seemed like she wanted to become your friend, but at the same time she would stab you with a goddamn javelin if you kept talking to her.
"Hey, Weiss. Why are you apologizing to me? You don't look like the kind-hearted type to be doing this all of a sudden. What's this about?"
With a scowl on her face, she grimaced. "Why should I explain my actions and reasons to an idiot like you? I simply had to because..." Realizing what she was trying to say, a smile gently forms on your cheeks. "Because you wanted to be my friend?"
"T-That isn't--!" Her crimson face and shaking hands says it all. You chuckled and gave her a friendly pat on the head. "Gotcha, ice queen. You don't have to say anything else."
"D-Don't call me that! Ugh, why did I even bother apologizing to you!? I take it all back! You're a complete jerk!" Weiss walked off, her heels clicking on the surface. And she's back to her hotheaded self again... 'I just realized that she's hotheaded, but her color scheme is on the cold side... Ah, I don't even know anymore.'
"Don't worry about her. I'm sure she meant what she said earlier." You turn towards the new voice. Standing before you is a tall female that wore her red hair in a ponytail that's slightly curled into a loose ringlet. She also had light-green eyeshadow around her emerald eyes. Her outfit consisted of: a brown corset with light brown linings in the center and at the upper tip; dark brown gloves that ran from her elbows and down to her hands; a black miniskirt with a long red sash that reached to her ankles; a brown circlet with a pair of small green emeralds latched onto thin chains underneath her crimson locks; bronze bracelets; and a matching gorget all around her neck.
The first thing that came out of your mouth was, "Wow... You're really, really pretty..." The girl lifts an eyebrow, heaving a coquettish smile at you. "Oh? Well you're not so bad yourself. Can I get a name?"
"[Y-Y/N]... And you...?" You stuck out a hand, and she obliged by lapping yours into her gloved hand. "Pyrrha Nikos. Hopefully we get to be on the same team together... that way... we can learn more about each other." She flashes you a wink before taking off with her javelin and shield.
"I-I... I..."
Dragblacker:
"Well, I'm having a gay panic attack. Is that a thing?"
Dragblacker:
Before you could respond, a buzzing, static sound makes its way to your ears and everyone else's. The speakers come on, and Glynda's voice resonates through the locker room.
Students, once you have gathered your gear, you are to report outside of Emerald Forest. The headmaster and I will meet you there. Don't be late.
And her voice cuts out. With no time to waste, you ran out the door with Ruby and Yang trailing after you. "[Y/N]! Wait for us!" You peered over at them and picked up your pace. "Come and catch me, you two! Ya can't catch this!"
"Alright! That's it! Get back here, [Y/N]!"
"Never~!"
[~Now In Front Of Emerald Forest~]
You and the other students stood above stone plates, keeping quiet as Ozpin speaks, "For years you have trained to become warriors. And today, your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest."
'When you've trained and become a warrior in like three months. Can't relate--'
Dragreder:
Glynda takes the second lead and explains in further detail. "Now, I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of teams. Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion. Each of you will be given teammates... today."
With Ruby on your left side and Jaune on the right, you could hear her whine. "What? Aw..." She glances over at Yang, who was happily smiling and readying for launch.
Ozpin continues to clarify the rest of the assignment. "These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon. So it is in your best interest to be paired with someone with whom you can work well."
"Aw no... [Y/N]..." You turn your head to look at Ruby, squeezing her hand reassuringly. "You'll be fine, Rubes. I know you'll do amazing." You whispered to her, pulling your hand away.
"That being said, the first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years." You nonchalantly shrugged at the news, whereas Ruby provided a different response. "What?!?"
"See? I told you!" A girl with orange hair and jade eyes energetically tells the male next to her. She was dressed in a black collared, sleeveless vest, and underneath it is a white shirt with a cut-out heart in the center of her upper chest; detached white sleeves around her arms; pink gloves; a matching skirt; and white ankle-length boots with pink laces and soles.
The young male situated next to her had long black hair that was gently tied back into a low ponytail, a magenta streak of hair sliding down the left side of his face, and his eyes matched the color of his singular hair streak. Seemingly swayed and influenced by Chinese culture, his clothes consisted of a long green tailcoat with dull gold designs and black trimmings around his waist and collar. Accompanied by this is a black long-sleeved shirt under the coat, white pants, and black leather shoes.
'Well, they look like an interesting pair...'
Dragblacker:
'Oh... Yeah, right.'
You paid close attention to Ozpin's instructions. "After you've partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest. You will meet opposition along the way. Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path, or you will die."
Jaune was trembling with fear, but he tried to suppress the unpleasant emotion by laughing it off. Clearly, he has no experience in fighting with the Grimm. "Good luck, Jaune!" You whispered to him.
"Uh... Y-You, too!" He murmured back, and his body tensed up at Ozpin's voice. "You will be monitored and graded for the duration of your initiation. But our instructors will not intervene. You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics. Each pair must choose one, and return to the top of the cliff. We will regard that item, as well as your standing, and grade you appropriately." His eyes were locked on you. "Are there any questions?"
Everyone remained silent, you shook your head, and Jaune... well. He had a few questions about this assignment. With a raised hand, he timidly called out, "Yeah, um, sir--"
"Good! Now, take your positions." The silver Huntsman uttered and everyone, including you, had already taken their positions. "Uh, sir? I've got, um, a question." Jaune insisted on having his question answered while Weiss catapulted in the air.
As other students hurled into the clouds, the blonde asked, "So, this landing strategy thing, uh, w-what is it? You're, like, dropping us off or something?"
"No. You will be falling." The headmaster deadpanned, and another student was pitched into the air. You sighed and shook your head. How did Jaune even get accepted into this school again? Hopefully, he'll do fine on his own.
Jaune gulped, then nodded. "Oh, I see. So, like, did you hand out parachutes for us?" You glanced over at the next person to go, watching her as she went flying through the blue sky. "Woohoo!"
The brown-eyed man answered bluntly. "No. You will be using your own landing strategy." The anticipation thickened as Yang and Ruby ejected from the stone plate. You secured the Advent Deck of Dragreder in your right hand, and a few seconds later, the stone plate that you were standing on had launched you into the blue sky like the others.
"So, um, what exactly is a landing strateGYYYYY!?" You heard Jaune shout at the end as he was tossed into the air after you. Gliding past Ruby and Yang, you held out the Advent Deck in front of you and transformed after yelling out, "Henshin!"
