When I wake up I feel that familiar burn in my throat and by how well rested I feel , I assume the sun has gone down. I look beside me and see Isaac sleeping peacefully, he doesn't even move when I leave the bed which I'm grateful for.

I pull back his bedroom curtain and see that night has fallen over the somewhat calm pack and I take a deep inhale smelling the different scents in his home until I find one in particular that I'm drawn too,blood.

I slowly open his bedroom door and without a sound I speed to his kitchen in seconds and open the fridge where sure enough there are four more bags labeled with different blood types. I pick up one and feel the cold liquid jiggle in my palm and I almost lose my appetite, I have to eat. If I dont I'll start bleeding from my nose and ears. I dig through his cupboards and find a long glass and set it on the counter before tearing open the blood bag and pouring it inside the glass. After heating it up in the microwave for a few minutes and taking a sip I find that it's okay to eat but still not as good as biting into someone's vein.

Which just as I imagine how good it would feel to bite into Isaac's neck and end this all now I hear someone behind me. In seconds I set the glass back down and press my arm into the neck of the intruder and slam them hard against the other side of the room and extend my fangs ready to rip their throat out.

"God dammit Ada!" Gabriel says strained and pushes my arm away immediately.

"I'm...sorry. I-" I can't remember the last time I saw Gabriel, it doesn't feel that long ago but I can't seem to remember.

"Isaac told me you made your way back. It's understandable that you would be a bit jumpy." He says and straightens his shirt.

"Ada!?" Isaac shouts as he runs into the room and looks between us worried.

"It's alright I just scared her by accident." Gabriel says and looks down as Isaac places a kiss on my forehead and rubs my arms concerned.

"You should have told me you were coming." Isaac says and looks back at Gabriel who just shrugs.

"We need you both to come to the pack prison and take a look at the wolves Desiderius turned. If there's a way that Ada might help them." Gabriel says looking over at me and I already hear Desiderius in my head going over exactly what would happen once I came back.

They might bring you before the wolves I've turned. They can't know there is no way to change them back and they can't be killed. Tell them I must be caught to change them, do your best to make them believe you.

I close my eyes remembering his words before looking up at Gabriel and Isaac and nodding my head.

20 minutes later I scrunch my nose in disgust as we walk down into the prison of this practically filled to the ceiling with rogues, most of them looking like they've been here for awhile.

"Shouldn't all rogues be given death sentences?" I ask looking down at the men who look at me with curiosity since they are unsure of what I am.

"Based on their crimes yes. Most of the rogues here are serving sentences or are waiting to be transferred to another pack to be sentenced." Isaac says and puts his hand on my lower back protectively. We finally reach the very end where four male wolves sit glaring at the man standing in front of their cell, but all their eyes land on me when I come into their view.

"Alpha" both Gabriel and Isaac say at the same time and the man nods his head at them before looking over at me. He's the Alpha. Desiderius told me about him...his name is Mark.

"I'm glad your back Ada. I apologize for putting you in danger." He bows his head and I just nod my head not knowing what he did that put me in danger, I look over at the wolves in the cell who have smirks on their faces as they look at me. Do they know about Desiderius' plan?

"They don't see me as their Alpha anymore. They killed the rogues in the cells next to them, is there any help for them or should I order their execution already?" Mark says and my eyes widen in panic.

"No! They can be saved. You have to find Desiderius. He can fix them...and me." I lie and look over at Isaac who gives me a small smile.

"Fine. Do you know where he was hiding last?" Mark asks me and I nod my head.

"At least 10 men will do to catch him. He's weak the last time I saw him, he's been hurt." I lie again and I feel Gabriel look over at me.

"Let me talk to the men and I'll tell them where to find him." I say and Mark nods his head at Gabriel who follows after him.

"I want to be apart of the search party too." Isaac says and my head snaps over at him and I feel panicked again and my mouth opens before I even think at what I'm about to say.

"No! You can't....I need you here.." I say quietly and grab his hand.

"She's right Isaac. I can't risk you,it'll be better to send a small group first." Mark says and leaves the prison with Gabriel following after him.

"I will face him eventually and I'll make him pay for everything he's done to you I swear." He says and I hear the door to the prison opening again and the sound of more men coming down.

"10 of my best fighters. You're sure he'll be taken down?" He says and I nod my head.

"If you want to bring more just to be safe then be my guest." I say and he looks back at the men who all look amongst each other before nodding their heads.

"They'll get a few more just in case. Where's he hiding?" Mark asks and I look between all the men that I'm certainly sending to their own death.

"There's a clearing about ten miles east of here. He's knocked down every tree within a mile of it to make it harder to reach him, but it'll make it easier for you to know you're close. In the middle of the field is a dead tree, it looks empty but he's built a cave beneath, that's where you'll find him." I say and they nod their heads leaving the prison immediately and I can already feel Desiderius' plan will be a success.

"I guess all we can do now is wait." Mark says and starts leaving the prison, Isaac grabs my hand and makes me start walking with him but I look back at the cell filled with hybrid wolves and notice one nod his head at me, already understanding of what's to come.

"You okay?" Isaac asks me as we finally leave the prison.

"I'm fine." I lie and grip his hand harder when I see the two witches Desiderius warned me about waiting for us outside.

"Within a few hours we should have the vampire captured." Mark says to the white haired one who only smirks.

"And you're so sure about that?" She raises an eyebrow and Mark only glares at her.

"I've got other business to take care of. I can trust you will all handle this." Mark says and everyone nods their heads except me and the white-haired witch.

Mark then starts walking away and Gabriel leans against the outside wall of the pack prison and I try my best to remember the witches name. However when I'm trying to concentrate I feel Gabriel's eyes on me again which makes me lose focus.

"How exactly did you escape Ada?" He asks and all eyes fall on me immediately making me extremely nervous.

"I came to my senses and in his weakened state I managed to escape." I lie and the witch looks at me with a small smile on her face.

"I've never once seen Desiderius in a weakened state, you must have used a powerful spell Selene." She looks down at her daughter who only nods her head.

"We're going to take a walk." Isaac says and grabs my hand which I'm grateful for since Gabriel will no longer question me.

"Gabriel talks too much." I say and take a few steps ahead of Isaac to get a better look at the moon. It's a full moon tonight and I enjoy the way its light makes everything around me glow in a special way that makes me feel like I'm in a dream. I close my eyes enjoying the moment when I feel Isaac grab my hand and gently squeeze it.

"I remember the first time I saw you, you looked exactly like this. The moon light shining down on you made your skin look white, I thought you were dead." He says and steps closer to me.

"Well I am technically dead." I say and let go of his hand and start walking away again.

"You won't be for the long. He'll change you back. We'll make him." Isaac says and I roll my eyes and face him.

"How? Threaten to kill him? You're going to kill him no matter what. He knows that and surely wouldn't waste his time on something like that." I say and Isaac looks a little hurt.

"But wouldn't you want to be turned back into a human? I could turn you into a wolf and we could get married and have kids." I say and can't help the dry laugh that escapes my mouth.

"Do I look like a mother to you? I never cared for children." I say and Isaac looks like he can't believe a word that's coming from my mouth.

"What's gotten into you? You've become so cynical. Is all this bothering you? You don't want to see your beloved maker murdered?" He yells and my blood boils and for a moment I want to agree with him, I want to declare my love for Desiderius and rip out Isaac's heart but that's not how the plan is supposed to go, at least not yet.

"No...I'm sorry." I changed the subject immediately by wrapping my arm around Isaac's neck and kissing him hard, he certainly doesn't want to argue or at least I thought so.

"Ah!" He yelps out pushing me back slightly and touching his lip, when he looks down at his fingers he sees blood there and I suddenly taste the few drops left in my mouth, I guess in my anger I let my fangs extend and didn't think to retract them when I kissed Isaac.

Out of instinct I swallow the blood in my mouth and groan at the warm feeling in my stomach.

"Ada?" Isaac says worried and places his hands on either side of my head to make me look at him. Memories start returning to my head of the time I spent captured with Isaac. How close we became during that time, how I felt the connection with him as my mate.

"I'm sorry...I" I have this overwhelming need to be held by him but do my best to hold myself back.

"There's something you're not telling me." He says looking a little angry but I just shake my head and place my hands on his face. He's kind and good. Why does Desiderius want to kill him? What has he done? I almost want to tell him, tell him everything Desiderius has planned. He's too good to die and no matter how hard I try I can't think of one bad memory with Isaac. But when I open my mouth it's already too late.

"They're back already come on!" Isaac shouts and starts running back and my stomach twists at the thought of seeing Desi again.

We reach the prison fairly quickly and I can already tell that all men I've sent to capture Desi have been turned and are now half wolf and half vampire and stronger than anyone in this pack, however I am the only one to notice and they're completely under Desiderius' control. Two of them are holding his arms and I notice silver handcuffs burning his skin, when he sees me he gives me a small wink and I look away immediately.

"He wasn't that hard to catch" one of the wolves says and looks directly at me with a smug smile on his face.

Io walks over to Desiderius while her daughter stays as far back as possible.

"You look well Io. For a woman of your age." Desi jokes but she doesn't smile.

"This will not end well for you." She says and then looks over at me.

"Gabriel! Good to see you're still alive" Desiderius laughs but Gabriel grabs him roughly by his upper arm and begins taking him down into the cells with 4 other wolves following behind me which makes me nervous since although Gabriel is just as strong as them, he is still outnumbered.

"I'm going with him. Stay here." I tell Isaac and run down without waiting for his reply.

Just as I make it down to the cells I see them uncuffing Desi and opening his cell but the moment he sees me a smile grows on his face and I yelp in surprise as he speeds over to me and slams me against the cell of a rogue who growls at us.

"Ada!" Gabriel yells and I notice the wolves behind him ready to attack him while his back is turned.

"No!" I scream and they all look at me.

"Call off your men. Now is not the time." I whisper to Desi and he looks at me strangely.

"Are you having second thoughts?" He says staring down at me and I shake my head.

"Get away from her now!" Gabriel yells and Desi does as he's told and walks calmly back towards Gabriel.

"I was only saying hello." He says and Gabriel pushes him inside the cell before slamming the door closed and locking it.

Gabriel looks over at me concerned but I nod my head to let him know I'm okay.

"All of you can leave now." He says to the wolves around him but they don't move.

"Are you deaf? Go!" He yells I flash my eyes at them warning them to not try anything and they leave immediately giving me small smiles and bowing their heads and Gabriel looks at them confused.

"What did you do?" He asks as I walk over to him and I only shrug.

"Well this is nice. When was the last time we were all together like this?" Desiderius says and leans against the end of his cell and smiles at us both.

"When you tried to kill me and took Ada away." Gabriel growls and I put my hand on his upper arm to calm him down, I had almost forgotten about that horrible night.

"Ah yes. Well what's in the past stays in the past." Desiderius says and looks to his right to see the hybrid wolves a couple of cells away from him.

"You want me to change them back don't you?" He says not looking back at us.

"It's what Alpha Marcus wants." Gabriel says and Desiderius chuckles.

"Look at you. Submitting to an Alpha. Wasn't that long ago that you and I destroyed entire packs and gorged ourselves on Alpha's blood. Then again packs were smaller in those days. How many would you say are in this pack?" He smiles lowering his gaze at Gabriel who only clenches his fist but doesn't say anything.

"Those men aren't a threat, sure they could kill a few hundred wolves but I'd need way more than that to take this pack down." He tilts his head and I start getting nervous.

"Can you change them back or not? Can you change Ada?" Gabriel says and Desi looks at me and stands up straighter and eyes me up and down.

"Back to a human? So her mate can make her a wolf and force her to carry his children and die a mortal death with him? Look at her. Mortality never suited Ada Warren." He says and my head snaps up and my head starts pounding.

"What did you say?" I ask and he clicks his tongue and rolls his eyes.

"Warren. Ada Warren. Your name you stupid girl. The name given by your mother and father. Baby Ada, they called you in your entire village, the village I burned down right before I found your home and changed you." He says and starts walking closer to the bars.

"Liar. Fucking liar!!!" I scream and Gabriel grabs me before I reach for him between the bars. Why is he saying this?? Why does he want me to hate him and help him at the same time why????

"Ada." Desiderius says calmly and I feel my eyes burning with blood tears already flowing down my cheeks.

"You're mine." He whispers and his eyes flash a bright blue and my anger dissolves immediately and feel nothing but love and loyalty towards Desiderius.

"I'm fine. He won't be of any help to us." I say standing up straight and wiping away the blood around my eyes and taking Gabriel's off of me.

He looks at me confused and doesn't say anything when I start walking out of the prison, I know who I am. My name is Ada, Desiderius saved me life he made me immortal and loves me with every inch of his being. I owe him my life, my love and loyalty. I will not fail him.
