The last thing I remember was looking into Ada's eyes, hearing her sweet voice, she said something. I don't remember exactly what she said only that it made me feel calm and happy, as if I had nothing to worry about.

And almost as if someone slapped me out of this daze a wave of panic ran through me as I finally hear the calls of my wolf screaming that Ada was in danger, only for these cries to be silenced.

It's too late. He has her now.

"Mark? What's happened?" Crystal says standing as he runs downstairs.

"Stay inside Crystal please." He says and nods his head at me to follow him outside, I do following my Alpha's orders but inside I feel numb. I can't hear Ada, or feel her, I've completely lost our connection as mates and I can't understand why.

I run outside with Mark only to be stopped at the sight before me.

"Is he?.."Mark's voice asks as he takes a few steps forward. I don't know how to react as I look at Gabriel's lifeless eyes, could I say he was my friend? Could anyone call him that?

"Gabriel!" Crystal gasps and I turn around see tears forming in her eyes, Mark grabs her when she tries to run for his body.

"He's healing." Io finally speaks as she stares down at his body and my thoughts finally calm down for me to realize Ada had left with Gabriel but I don't know why.

"Where's Ada? Why was she with him??" I yell looking between everyone outside and Mark clears his throat.

"I sent them away to find some of the wolves that vampire kidnapped." He says without an ounce of guilt and I growl feeling my hands ball into fists.

"She used her gift so you wouldn't know." Io says taking her eyes off Gabriel and looking at me.

"Where is she? I can't feel her." I say trying to control my wolf from taking over.

"You could never feel her she's dead you stupid boy. I can give you the illusion of a mate connection but she'll always belong to Desiderius who has her now." She says and kneels down and strokes Gabriel's cheek gently.

"Help me bring him inside." Io says quietly and I scoff.

"You let him take her didn't you?" I yell but she doesn't reply. Out of the corner of my eye I notice Mark taking a step towards her and I growl again.

"You made her go out there. You put them both in danger. What kind of Alpha are you??" I yell at him and he growls loudly and I see his eyes turning black.

"You're just upset Isaac. Ada will be fine." He says and I shake my head at him. He doesn't care about her, about Gabriel and he definitely doesn't care about Ada.

"Isaac don't!!" I hear Crystal yell as I start walking away but I let out a choking gasp and fall to my knees as my body becomes paralyzed. I try my best to breath and glare as Io walks calmly in front of me.

"Now is not the time to play hero. Ada has matured since she found you. I swear we'll get to her but tonight we have Gabriel to worry about." She says calmly and I see her fingers extend slowly and I regain control of my body and take huge gulps of air as if she was drowning me for a few moments.

"Take him inside. Now." She says again and I see Mark throw Gabriel over his shoulder and walk back inside with Crystal behind him.

"Will he be okay?" I turn around and see the two girls from the other night appear behind Io. The one who's name I believe is Selene looks the most worried as she stares at the house.

"He's fine. Leave both of you I didn't call you here." Io says sounding annoyed and my eyes meet with Selene. She looks at her mother and slowly walks over to my side.

"I want to help him." She says and her sister stares at her surprise while her mother glares.

"If you want to play with dogs then go ahead, I have far more important things to worry about." Io says and storms off into the house. Juno looks at us for a moment but doesn't say anything as her body dissappears in a cloud of black smoke.

I start walking away from Selene immediately and she scurries to catch up to me.

"Leave. I don't need you." I say and she stops walking thankfully.

"Gabriel is my father." She calls out and I stop and stare back at her.

"Is my jaw supposed to drop? Leave." I say one more time and keep walking.

"You can't find Desiderius on your own. Vampires don't have a scent a wolf can smell. I can find him. Even if you don't want to admit it you need me and I can find your mate." She says and I stop walking and take a deep sigh.

"Come on." I say quietly and start walking again when she catches up.

"Where is he then?" I ask and snap my head towards her when she grabs my hand.

"Take a deep breath." She says I stare at her confused and open my mouth to say something when it feels like someone has punched me square in the chest and all of the air is sucked out of my body as everything around me becomes blurry and black. The feeling ends in seconds and I find myself in an entirely new area of the pack that I've never been before, an area that I don't think Mark even owns.

"What did you do?" I groan and hold my aching chest.

"I found him." She whispers and stares ahead, I look over to see a dead tree twisted at the top with an opening in it's trunk large enough to walk through but too dark for me to be able to see something.

"There's no one here." I say wincing as it hurts a little to breath, she shushes me immediately and takes a few steps toward the tree.

"You lied. There's no one-" I grunt as what feels like a freight train knocks me off my feet and I hear Selene gasp. I groan and grasp at the grass around me and hold my chest as I try to get up. Selene leans down to help me when the same black blur comes back and knocks her twenty feet away from me.

"It's him!"She groans and I see her shoulder sticking out in an unusual way, she takes a deep breath and cries out in pain as she pops it back into place.

I growl lowly and look around our surroundings, the woods remain dead silent but I narrow my eyes on the small movement I see behind a tree.

"Come out!" I yell and stand ignoring the pain in my side where I was knocked down by.

"Isaac!" Selene cries out and I turn around see Desiderius pull her up from the ground by her hair making her cry out, she struggles and tries to move his hand away, instead the action angers him and he hisses loudly extending his facing and drags them dangerously close against the vein on her neck.

"Well don't you smell delicious." He smiles and I glare at him and notice his eyes flash a bright blue as he finally looks at me.

"Well then. I finally get to meet the one and only Isaac Argent, she told me a lot about you." He says and holds Selene closer to his body.

"Where is she?!" I yell and he chuckles and rubs his cheek against hair her slowly.

I growl again louder and take a step towards him only to be twisted around and pushed into the ground from the same force earlier. I turn my head around and see Desiderius still standing there holding Selene still and I'm confused for moment before I realize what's happened and I stand immediately and look around crazily.

"Ada?!" I scream and scan every tree, every bush and every inch of the dead field we're standing in.

"Ada!!" I yell again and take another step closer towards Desiderius and she knocks into me again faster than I could even blink and my face meets the ground once more. I groan feeling frustrated and annoyed with the fact that not only can I not even take a step towards them but Ada doesn't seem to care it's me that she's hurting.

I grit my teeth and push through the pain and stand one more time taking a deep breath and face Desiderius who has a smug smile and slowly sways Selene with him and I see her hands now held together behind her back and his fangs slowly sink into her neck to pierce the skin and I see a small stream of blood move down her pale neck.

I take another deep breath and this time when I take another step I stick my hands out to grab at Ada when she tries to push me down again, she doesn't expect it and doesn't stop running but with my extra weight she becomes off balanced and trips roughly and takes me with her.

The animalistic growl that comes from her mouth catches me by surprise and I notice her body shake with anger and I stand immediately holding my hands in front of me.

"Ada...please it's me." I say and her head snaps up and she hisses at me and I take a few steps back.

"Ada." I say more calm as she slowly stands and I never realized until now just how easy it would be for her to kill me.

"She's still mine. You thought that little claim of yours could be stronger than anything I do to her? You're a fool!" Desiderius yells.

"Ada listen to him. He's just using you please. He doesn't love you like I do. Ada.." I slowly step towards her.

My heart aches at the way she looks at me, my wolf cries out to her but she stares at me blankly, not one ounce of emotion towards me.

"Ada.." I say one more time and slowly take another step.

"Isaac get down!" I hear Selene yell and when I look towards her I see this force pulse from her entire body sending Desiderius flying behind her. She extends her arms and claps them together in front of her. My eyes widen as a bright light forms and comes flying towards Ada and I and I immediately worry for her safety.

"Don't!!" I yell at Selene who only raises her arm and I fall my knees and watch in horror as the light engulfs Ada making her scream in pain and fall unconscious. I hear Selene running over to us.

"Grab her and lets go!" She screams and without thinking I run to carry Ada's body when a very angry Desiderius appears out of nowhere in front of her body, the front of his clothes are ripped with singed holes and I notice his face healing painfully from the burns he received.

He looks over at Selene who looks beyond terrified and I notice the way he stands that he will charge at her and definitely kill her. I feel my claws extending knowing that I will have to shift if I need to fight him. But to both of our surprise a cloud of black smoke starts appearing before Selene protecting her and as it dissappears her sister stands there defiantly with her head held high as she stares as Desiderius.

Desiderius smiles wide which sends an uneasy feeling down my spine.

"You know what to do Selene." Juno says and I see a tear go down her cheek and Selene whimpers as she grabs my hand.

"Wait no!" I yell and watch helplessly as Desiderius attacks Juno and she lets him sink his teeth into her neck and we leave Ada behind and there's nothing I can do about it as my surroundings blur into nothing but darkness.
