《My Vampire (Book Three)》Chapter 17

Io kneels down slowly while the other girls watch us closely, she places Gabriel's head in her lap and kisses his forehead gently and seconds later he jumps up and practically leaps across the room to get as far away from her as possible.
"Is this Io?" Isaac whispers to me and I nod my head and flinch when she snaps her head towards us.
"What have you done Ada?!" Gabriel yells at me and all three women giggle and stare at me. I groan in pain as I feel this force rip me away from Isaac's arms and I'm forced to kneel before them.
"Don't you dare hurt her!" Isaac yells and I see Gabriel run to him and hold him back. Io circles around me closely and runs her fingers through my hair before kneeling down before me.
"Another form of Desiderius." She sighs and shakes her head.
"Why have you summoned me girl?" She says her eyes going black again and my entire body feels paralyzed.
"I want to be human...I want to kill Desiderius." I whimper and feel a warm stream of blood go down my cheek, I don't even know why I'm crying.
"This can't be done if you're human. There's another shameful reason you're hiding from me." She hisses raising her hand and I scream in pain, it feels like she's ripping me apart. The girls behind her laugh at my pain, I feel more blood pour from my eyes.
"I have a mate! I feel nothing towards him as a vampire!" I sob and she lowers her hand and the pain stops and she moves her head closer to my ear.
"If you ever try to summon me by killing Gabriel again...I'll send you to hell." She whispers in my ear and releases her hold on me. I grunt and fall to my hands and knees trying to get past the aching in my bones.
"So the time has finally come...Desiderius must die." She smiles looking at all of us, the girls behind her giggle again.
"What can I do for this girl?...Juno?" She looks over at the girl with purple eyes who smiles at me.
"Only Desiderius can undo her immortality completely. You can make her able to love her mate of course...if she's worthy." Juno says and runs her finger along my cheek to gather the blood on it and sucks on it, she moans as she swallows.
"Perhaps she is worthy." Her eyes glow for a moment and for a second I swear I saw fangs in her mouth.
"Selene...what do you think?" Io looks over at the other girl who stares at me blankly. She stares at Gabriel across the room who growls at her and her eyes immediately lower to the ground.

"Desiderius must die. This girl is the key to his demise. Give her what she needs and we can end your suffering mother." Selene says and Io nods slowly and extends her hand to Isaac.
"Give me your wrist boy." She says and I look over at him and nod my head letting him know she will not kill him.
He extends his hand and she pulls him to his knees next to me. She presses the nail on her thumb hard against his vein and blood pours slowly, she closes her eyes and whispers something in another language. When she looks between us her eyes are a light blue and she smiles and forces me to stand on my knees like Isaac by pulling the hair on the back of my head, I gasp in pain but don't fight back.
"Don't hurt her." Isaac growls at her.
"Isaac don't please. Just let her do what ever is needed." I cry as she slowly brings my mouth towards his wrist.
"Drink." She says and forces my own fangs to extend.
"What will happen if I do?" I whimper as she pulls my hair even more.
"You'll feel everything he's ever felt in his entire lifetime. All the pain, joy and suffering. Only then will you have your precious mate bond. I cannot turn you human permanently, only your maker has that gift." She says and Isaac tries pulling his wrist back but she holds onto him tight.
I don't say another word as I slowly lower my mouth biting into him gently and feeling his warm blood slide pleasantly down my throat. I shudder as I pull my head back and she lets go of my head. I shut my eyes as the strange new feeling grows inside me, I feel excited and happy. But the feeling fades quickly and I scream holding my chest as I feel my heart breaking.
"Ada!" Isaac holds me to his chest and I groan as the feeling grows.
"Did I forget to mention this...it will be all your mates that you're feeling. All the ones you never met in your lifetime that were reincarnated one after another because you never found them and they died alone." She hisses at me and I groan feeling all the wounds they suffered over their lives and all the power and all the happiness they've been through.
"Make it stop! Please! It's not worth it!" Isaac yells at her as I feel blood pouring from eyes. I sob and look at Gabriel who won't even meet my eyes. My body is shaking uncontrollably as all these feelings come at once and I feel all their deaths and fears and love come together.

"You can stop it now. Just mark the stupid girl." Io says rolling her eyes and Isaac wastes no time moving my hair to the side. He places a soft kiss on my neck before biting into my slowly, I sigh as all the pain slowly dissappears and I feel like I'm floating again just like the first time he marked me.
"Now you will have your bond." Io says and my body feels extremely weak and I feel blood slowly dripping from my nose and ears. My throat is starting to burn and I lean into Isaac's shoulder not caring if I get blood on his shirt.
"I need to eat.."I say my voice sounding hoarse and I hear Gabriel walking towards me.
"Take me blood. You'll feel better quicker." He says extending his arm but I see Io force him to stand.
"She's had enough of your blood! She can live off her mate's blood." She hisses and I feel Isaac bring his wrist to my mouth. But I push it away immediately and shake my head.
"No..I can't hurt him." I groan as the burn in my throat becomes a fire.
"Mother.. let me." Selene says and steps towards us. Io hisses at her and stands in her way.
"I'd rather I'd kill you then for this creature to drain you!" She yells at her but Selene walks past her calmly and kneels by my side. Gabriel doesn't look her away as she stares at him, she looks back at me and offers her wrist. I almost want to moan at the scent of her blood running through her veins and I don't hesitate to bite into her. I shiver as her power flows through and I barely drink for a minute before I pull myself back, I haven't felt this full in decades. I lick away the extra drops around my mouth and lean into Isaac's chest feeling emotionally and physically drained.
"Leave Io and take your....daughters." Gabriel says glancing at Selene for a moment, she looks slightly hurt at the way he says it. She stands and walks beside her mother who pats her on the back gently.
"I do believe I am needed here Gabriel." She twirls a piece of gown between her fingers and smiles mischievously at him.
"You used to be so fun. But ever since you lost poor-" he interrupts her immediately.
"Don't you dare say her name. You have no right!" He yells loudly to make me scared, Isaac holds me tighter as I flinch.
"Whose name? Natalia...or Merriam. You loved them both but only one was your true mate." She says and Juno smiles widely at the pained look that comes over Gabriel's face.
Merriam...Merriam...I knew that name. It was beginning to form memories in my head, I knew someone by that name when I was human. Could it be the same Merriam?
"Leave. And take your whore daughters with you now!" Gabriel yells and Selene turns her back towards him and lowers her head and her hair falls over her eyes like a curtain to shield her emotions.
"You have no right to talk to me like that. As I said you need me, Desiderius is very angry that you've taken her." Io says and hers rake over me in disgust.
"No one has taken me." I say and groan as a small wave of pain flows through my chest. Isaac rubs my back soothingly and I bury my face into his shoulder breathing deeply, his scent actually helps with the pain.
"We can deal with him. Leave." Gabriel says one more time and I can't take anymore and stand on my feet, I stumble for a moment and almost feel like fainting but I keep my stand.
"You heard what Rebecca said. She's the only one that can kill him. You and I both know what he's like. He can easily take control of both of us to turn against this pack, then what chance do they have?" I say and he glares at me but doesn't say anything,he knows I'm right.
"Then it's settled." Io smiles clasping her hands together as she walks over to Gabriel and circles him.
"We'll see you soon." She says out loud as she looks up at him, her daughters dissappear in a cloud of black smoke, but she lingers for a second longer to look at Gabriel before disappearing in the same way. Gabriel sighs and runs a hand through his hair before looking between me and Isaac.
"Enjoy your mate." He says bitterly before shoving past Isaac to leave and slams the door as he does. Isaac is back to my side in seconds just as I finally collapse from the pain, so many emotions passing through my body and so many voices in my head.
"What can I do? I feel your pain I want to help." Isaac says panicked and the look in his eyes breaks my heart even more.
"Take me to bed." I whisper in his ear and the moment he scoops me into his arms my vision goes dark and I'm asleep in seconds.

Adventurer Book II - Dawn of an Empire Short story prequel- The Lurking Lair: An Adventuer Series Short Story Summary for the LitRPG savvy reader: Looking for a LitRPG that is more tabletop traditional role playing game and less MMORPG? This is probably your cup of tea. Long term progression with a heavy slice of life element. Strong mix and inclusion of ancient Greek life, values, and myths. Hence, the world can be a bit more harsh and brutish than modern sensibilities. The system is tangible and knowable beyond the MC's insights. The MC is more of an everyman than someone specifically chosen for the experience. Author's Note: This is my debut novel. Up until this point, the only thing I have written of comparable length has been non-fiction and related to history. I am immensely grateful to all the folks who have given me feedback and helped me improve my writing.

Rifts of War
The visions. It was they that told us about our future. They said that we were the true rulers of the world, the spreaders of light, the guardians of the rightious path. The visions gave us signs of a bright new world, one united under a single banner of light. All those who opposed us suffered and here we stand on the top, watching over the world. We thought it would last forever, but we thought wrong. The visions once again spoke to us and gave us insight, but not to glory or power. They spoke of a terrible fate. An enemy from beyond the realm, one that wishes to destroy us all, one that threatens to bring about the end of the light and usher an age of darkness. As its guardians, we could not allow that. And so we decided to strike. Our armies and our mages gather at the great rift that connects our world. No one knew what we would find. Treasures? Rich land? Savage beasts? There was only one way to find out. A/N: The story starts out pretty quick and I know people will say this is a "military p*rn" but that's only the beginning. I really do have much more planned for this book so I can make a true 'war of the worlds' type of deal. So stick around and enjoy
