《My Vampire (Book Three)》Chapter 15

"No!" I scream at the top of my lungs and using every ounce of my strength to break free of him. He's erasing them again. He's erasing Isaac.
"Desi!" I scream trying my best to break his hold against my wrists. I'm moving my head around as if it would stop him from reaching inside but it doesn't.
He growls loudly and sinks his fangs into my neck just to hurt me. He pulls back and laughs and I see my own blood around his mouth.
"You sick fuck!" I scream but feel myself growing weaker. I won't forget them. I should have never left Isaac. Now Desi will take me away and I'll have no memory if him.
I feel my eyes getting heavier and the pain in my head is no longer bothering me. I feel the ground shaking, have I gone mad?
I feel Desi being ripped from above me by a giant rush of black fur and teeth. I grunt and sit up feeling weak and try to get up when I hear their struggle has stopped. I look back and see Desi on the ground laughing as the scratch marks across his cheek slowly heal. I look up at the wolf that saved me and see Gabriel naked and walking toward me.
"After all these years you think you can take her away from me. Have you forgotten who made you immortal Gabriel??" Desi screams at him but he doesn't listen as he picks me up.
"Are you okay?" I ask him and he nods his head.
"Tell me Gabriel. What trouble has my dear Ada gotten herself into." Desi laughs and sits against a tree.
Gabriel doesn't say anything and starts walking away holding me tight against him.
"I'll let you go for now." Desi says quiet enough for only me to hear him.
"How did you find me?" I ask Gabriel as he finally sets me down. He finds a pile of clothes and starts putting them on.
"You know I'm the only wolf in the world that can track your scent Ada. Isaac said you were missing and I found you just in time." He says and I feel awkward being with him alone.
"Come on. Your nose is bleeding." He says and extends his wrist. I don't decline this second offering of food and bite into him gently. His blood cools down my throat immediately but also brings back the feelings he had towards me all those years ago. I pull back and wipe my mouth and he stares at me.

"Gabriel. Please don't look at me like that." I ask him and he continues doing it anyways.
"Are you hurt?" He asks and I shake my head as I see the bruises on my wrists beginning to heal before my eyes.
"Take me back to Isaac. Please." I beg him and he looks away finally and we start walking in silence.
"Thank you for saving me." I say but he doesn't reply.
"Gabriel.." I want him to at least talk to me. He stops and I see we reach a 3 story house and I can sense the Alpha inside as well as Isaac.
"There I've brought you back. Go." He says and starts walking away.
"No!" I yell and and catch up to him and force him towards the house.
"Why? I can't face them I can barely face you! You know how much I loved you Ada. You used to enjoy getting beatings from that psycho and every time I told you it was wrong you believed me but never fucking left him! You belong with me!" He says with such desperation in his voice that I feel ashamed of myself.
"If I leave with you, I put everyone here in danger. Just stay with me please." I say but he's done talking, he's done arguing. He walks towards me and wraps his hand gently on the back of my neck and kisses me gently. I feel nothing when he does.
"Come on. Before that pup tries to fight me." He says and we begin walking towards the back of the house.
But before we go in I grab his hand and he stops walking immediately but doesn't turn around to look at me.
"Don't kiss me. Things can never be like that night Gabriel. I want you to understand that." I say and he straightens his back and snaps his hand out of my grip.
"After you m'lady." He says plastering a wide smile on his face. There's the Gabriel I knew. The one that never let his true emotions show. He opens the back door and I hear yelling voices suddenly become quiet and I walk in through the living room door to see all eyes on me again.
"Ada..." Isaac gasps and runs to take me in his arms.
"What happened to you?" He asks looking at my appearance, my hair must be a nest and I'm sure I'm covered in dirt.
"Desiderius was here." I say and stare directly at the Alpha as I do.

"No matter how many wolves you have out there he'll get through." I tell him and he growls lowly and glares at me, Isaac growls back but then looks between me and Gabriel.
"Why is he here..." he says trying to control his anger.
"He saved me. That's all." I say glaring at him for mistreating my friend.
I feel something warm grab my hand and I see that it's Crystal.
"Come on we can go get you cleaned up." She smiles at me and I see that Rebecca nods with her. Without me even replying they start walking me upstairs. It isn't until we're in the bathroom do I realize the real reason why she wanted me alone.
"So Gabriel....how long have you known him?" She says and grabs a brush from the counter and begins to gently untangle the knots in my hair. Rebecca watches us intently almost like she's her guard. This girl doesn't care for me, only for her family history.
"I knew him briefly. He was with me when I was a newborn. He was one of Desi's. An immortal. He never told me much about him except that I reminded him of someone he lost." It's all could say since it's all I could remember. I groan and hold my head when I feel another headache coming through my head.
"I don't know what memories are real or not. You can't trust me." I say and I feel like crying. The first people to be kind to me in a hundred years and I can't even be civil in front of them. Rebecca hands me a tissue and sighs wiping away the blood from my eyes.
"I've read about your maker. He has that ability. To manipulate people's memories. I didn't realize until yesterday that the only person who was immune to his abilities...was Gabriel." She says and I sniffle taking the tissue from her hand.
"Why are you both so nice to me? I've put you all in danger!" I sob and Crystal hugs me from behind, Rebecca watches us cautiously.
"We've both been in danger when finding our mates. We want to protect you. But first we have to understand you and your maker and Rebecca can help" she says rubbing my shoulders and I nod my head reassuringly.
I feel something warm and wet being rubbed against my arms and I see Crystal washing off the dirt from my pale skin.
"Your skin is so cold. Does that ever bother you?" She asks and I laugh and grab her hand.
"Your skin is so unbelievably hot. Doesn't that bother you?" I ask and we all laugh in the small bathroom
After Crystal and Rebecca helped cleaned me up I felt a new bond with them forming, I never knew what it was like to have female friends. We all walk back downstairs to our mates and they're eyes fall on us only I had both Gabriel and Isaac looking at me. I put my head down in shame for kissing Gabriel and immediately cuddle into Isaac's side enjoying his warmth.
"So you're a vampire again?" Mark says as he sits on the sofa with Crystal.
I nod my head and look at the sadness in Isaac's eyes as we sit down with them, Gabriel comes to my other side but keeps his distance.
"As if some serum could undo what Desiderius has done to you." He scoffs and I growl at him.
"You undid your own immortality." I hiss at him and he laughs and lifts his hand twirling a small streak of black smoke between his fingers.
"I could easily get it back if I wanted to." He says and Isaac holds me closer to his side as I growl again.
"Gabriel you haven't been honest with me. And I don't even know you. You need to tell me everything about this stupid vampire that is putting my pack in danger." Mark yells at us both and Gabriel and I look between each other ashamed.
"What is it? What's wrong?" Isaac says placing his hand under my chin.
"The only thing Gabriel and I know about Desiderius is his name. Everything else he kept to himself. You already know you can't beat him. I apologize." I say and hear Rebecca clear her throat.
"I think I can help. A long time ago when I paid a visit to the vampire hunting side of the my family. I took something of theirs as a keepsake. It was a very old handwritten book and it was written by my great great grandfathers and I didn't realize until now that it mentions both yours and Gabriel's names." Rebecca says and I hold Isaac's hand tight.
I've never been more excited to hear to secrets unfold of the man I once loved and now want dead.

Molting the Mortal Coil
Reincarnated as a child in a new world a mild mannered programmer, named Sage, finds himself struggling to survive. The road to immortality is paved with danger, treasure, and conflict. This mystical eastern world is filled with Demonic Beasts, Treacherous Cultivators, and Extraordinary Legacies. Follow Sage on his journey to adapt to this new world, and find out if he can overcome the limitations of body, mind, and soul. Will he rise to the occasion and become a hero? Or maybe he'll turn to the dark side and end up a villain? Molting the Mortal Coil is more of a slower paced journey. It's not about endless battles and conquering the next bad guy who spits on the main characters shoes or sends him a funny look. There's also not a treadmill of tournaments or love interests. It's more of a slower burn with lots of, and hopefully not too much, world building. It's still supposed to be stuffed with action, but that won't pick up for a while since we start with a weakling. The first 30 chapters have a lot of time-skipping, but stay with me it gets better. I plan to re-write and add more to the first 30 in the future, but if you can push through I feel it gets much more fun after! Updates will be weekly.
