《Control [Carlisle Cullen]》1.5

"When Aro wants someone from a coven it's never long before evidence turns up proving the coven has committed a crime." Eleazar spoke.
Soon after the Romanians arrived, the vampires gathered in the Cullen house. The news of Aro's witnesses came as a shock to everyone. No one had a clue of what to do, and the vampires had a new growing fear.
"So he's done this before?" Eleanor asked, looking straight at Eleazar.
"It happens so rarely," he nodded, "I never realized it was a pattern."
"Apparently he always pardons one person whose thoughts he claims are repentant," Carlisle explained. Eleanor moved her eyes to him, only to see him staring straight at the floor with a solemn expression.
"This person always has an ability," Eleazar continued, "and they're always given a place with the Guard."
"Alice and Eleanor," Edward realized, "it must be why she left. But if he wants both of you, I don't understand why she wouldn't try and take you."
"Why does he have witnesses?" Emmett asked, looking at El worriedly.
"To spread the word that justice has been served," Alistair spoke from behind Carlisle. He stuck his hands in his pockets as he continued, "after he slaughters an entire coven."
Suddenly, Eleanor felt sick to her stomach, and she reached behind her to grab Carlisle's hand. She couldn't believe the Volturi were coming after them, she couldn't believe any of this was happening.
Amun stepped forward, "Tia, Benjamin, we're leaving."
"And where will you go?" Edward snapped, "what makes you think they'll be satisfied with Alice or Eleanor? What's to stop them from going after Benjamin next?" He looked around the room, "or Zafrina, or Kate, or anyone else with a gift. Anyone they want. Their goal isn't punishment, it's power. It's acquisition."
Edward paused and shook his head, "Carlisle may not ask you to fight but I will. For the sake of my family. For the sake of yours. And for the way that you want to live."
The room was silent as the vampires all shared looks. Eleanor looked around desperately, waiting for someone to step up and fight with them. To fight for themselves. Her eyes moved to Jacob as he stood, "the packs will fight. We've never been afraid of vampires."

The Denali's stood next, and Tanya spoke, "we'll fight too."
Benjamin locked eyes with Edward, "we'll join you."
"Benjamin no," Amun shook his head, sternly. Benjamin looked at his friend and grinned, "I will do the right thing, Amun."
"We will stand with you."
"And so will we."
The rest of the vampires rose to their feet, and swore the alliance with the Cullens'. A slight feeling of hope spread through Eleanor's body as she watched the vampires. Maybe they would have a chance against the Volturi after all.
Vladimir glanced around the room with a smirk, "well that didn't take much."
Edward nodded at them in thanks, "hopefully it doesn't come down to that."
Alistair only scoffed, and leaned forward to whisper in Carlisle's ear, "we'll see."
Eleanor pressed her back against a tree with her arms crossed, and watched as Kate attempted to teach Bella to use her shield. The Denali's had came up with an idea for Bella to help the rest of them fight - if she could project the shield.
"You need to visualize it," Kate instructed, "see how it moves. What color it is. Now picture it expanding. Will it to go beyond you."
Bella closed her eyes, and El watched a small shimmer leave Bella's body. It only went out for a moment, before she grunted and opened her eyes. She looked back up at Kate. "I think she needs something to motivate her," Eleanor spoke.
Edward glanced back at the witch, and then down at his hand. Eleanor frowned when he stepped forward but soon realized what he was doing. She smirked.
"No," Bella said sternly.
"It's all right," Edward assured, "I can handle it."
"He says that now," Garrett scoffed.
Suddenly, Carlisle appeared beside Eleanor causing the girl to jump. She stared up at him blankly, annoyed that she startled so easily. He only grinned at her, before they both returned their attention back to Bella.
"Edward, I'm not ready to do this!" Bella exclaimed. Bella watched Kate touch Edward's hand, and gasped when he fell to the ground, "I'm sorry, I said I wasn't ready!"

"Dude you're not motivating her!" Emmett teased Edward, causing the vampire to shoot his brother a look.
"You want to try?!" He asked, causing Emmett to hold up his hands. Eleanor let out a small laugh at the two boys.
Bella took a deep breath causing her shield to appear in front of her again. Kate reached for Edward's hand again, sending him to the ground once more. "Kate!"
"You seem to lack incentive," the blonde mocked, "should I go see if Renesmee is awake?"
"Are you crazy?" Bella growled.
"All right," Kate smirked, holding up a hand, "this one's on full power."
Eleanor pushed herself off of the tree, and waited for what was to happen. Bella pursed her lips, allowing her shield to cover Edward's body when Kate touched his hand. He visibly tensed up, but didn't fall as he did previously. Eleanor's lips tilted up into a grin.
"It's painful, but it's bearable," Edward looked at his wife in awe. Bella smiled, causing her shield to go away.
"Okay," she laughed, "we should try again."
"Wait," Kate shook her head. The Denali turned to Eleanor, "I want to see what you can do. We're protecting you, so might as well see what you're capable of."
Eleanor glanced up at Carlisle, who sent her a reassuring smile. He squeezed her waist gently, "you can do it, Ellie." She bit her lip, and wrung her hands together as she stepped forward. She looked at Kate, "I'm not sure what you want me to do."
"You can fight me again," Emmett stepped forward, "we've done it enough."
El shook her head, "exactly. I don't want to fight you anymore."
"Me," Bella spoke, causing Eleanor to frown, "I've always wanted to."
Eleanor looked between Carlisle and Edward, before sighing, "are you sure, Bells?"
The newborn nodded, but Eleanor could see her swallow, nervously. Nonetheless, Bella stepped away from Edward and towards Eleanor. The two began to walk a few steps further from the group, and Eleanor turned to face Bella when they were far enough.
Without warning, Bella sprinted towards Eleanor. She instantly put her hands up, making a shield of her own with her powers. The force pushed Bella away from the witch, but she was back to her attack in moments.
As Eleanor moved to switch hands, Bella ran past her, pushing the girl to her knees. Carlisle tensed from beside Edward, but continued to watch Eleanor spin and push her right hand forward, leaving her left by her chest.
Her face was twisted into a scowl as she hit Bella once more, knocking the newborn onto her back. Eleanor held her down, and before Bella had the chance to get up, El switched her hands, sending the vampire into the nearest tree, and holding her into it.
She panted as she glared at Bella, "don't push me down."
A laugh filled the air, making El snap her red eyes over to Garrett. The vampires followed her gaze to look at the laughing man. He nodded his head at Eleanor, "if you could do more with your abilities, you'll have the Volturi on the asses in a second."
Eleanor frowned, dropping her hands and releasing Bella, "what do you mean?"
Garrett shrugged, "you can clearly do more. Do you not know how to use them?"
Eleanor thought back to when Carlisle left. She thought about every other time she had gotten over emotional. Her powers had always been out of control - she had always been more. She looked back at Garrett, "how do I do it?"
"I could help you," Kate offered, "how hard could it be?"
Eleanor looked to Carlisle. His golden eyes met her blue, "it'll give you more protection against the Volturi."
"Or make her a bigger target," Edward pointed out, "they already want her with the powers she has now. They won't stop if she gets more powerful."
"She doesn't have to show her full potential," Garrett countered, "make herself seem weaker than they thought. Then, at the grand finale-" he moved his hands in a mocking way, mimicking Eleanor.
She smiled at him before staring between Kate and Carlisle, "he's kind of a genius."
Garrett smirked, "so I've been told."

A Fool fooling around in another world
Do you think that a story, where the MC isn't dense as lead, would be fun? Do you think that a story, where flags are intentionally set, would be interesting? Do you think that a story, where the MC isn't a wimp, would be a nice change for once? ...No? Oh... that's not the answer I expected.

And the world's changed that video games level and classes governed the power system of the new world! What will she do as a weak and fragile girl? Will she get her power back? How will she survive in the harsh world? Author's note: I will update daily if possible and each chapter is around 2,000 words. Gores, Sexual Contents, and Traumatising Contents are limited and I try my best not to write them. However, for the progress of the story, I can't help but write some of them in the latter part of the story. However, don't expect them too much ^_^ English is not my native language, so there might be grammatical errors (maybe a lot), but I'll try to fix them, so constructive critiques will be appreciated (^_^)

The Lost Archon
One early spring afternoon, sixteen-year-old Reid is going for a walk when he finds a magical occurrence taking him to another world. A world where he is considered an impossible mage - and where he becomes ridiculously powerful quickly. Though he's happy for the adventures he can go on and the friends he makes, Reid also wants to find out how he got there and why, and if there's a way to return home to his parents. Reid's priorities in this new world are learning magic, going on a few adventures, dealing with his feelings for the cute wolfkin Terrence Windfang, and seek an audience with the gods. All but one of them, he finds, is significantly easier than he expected. This is a participant in the [April 2022 Royal Road Writathon Challenge]. The story is also concluded as of 4/26/2022. IMPORTANT NOTES: 1) This is a story about an OP guy doing OP guy things. There will be few fights that he struggles with, and he will rarely, if ever, find his life in peril. 2) This is a slice-of-life and adventure story, which means that there will be periods of chapters without any action or conflict, but also periods of chapters with battles and exploration/adventure. 3) There will be NO petty squabbles or conflicts going on in this story, because it is meant to be a fun one, not a high-tension, drama-filled story. So it will NOT be that. If you want lots of action or lots of conflict, then find another story to read because this isn't it. 4) There will never be an overarching evil/villain/conflict to deal with in this story. Ever. 5) This story will not contain sexual content as it will end after Book 1. As such, Reid and his future boyfriend will never reach 18+ years of age in-story, so they will never have sex in the story. There will also be no harem in this story. 6) This is a part of the Royal Road April 2022 Writathon Challenge. 7) This story takes place in its own story universe, with its own rules. Please keep that in mind when reading it and other stories.

GLADIUS // Eret X Reader
PHANTASM SERIES BOOK 4---Gladius, (noun): (in ancient Rome) a short sword.---Eret perked up as soon as you and Simon walked into the room, a wide and welcoming smile coming onto his face. He was softer looking than his father had been, but you could still see some of the similar traits. He had a head of thick dark curls, and the same sharp jaw that his father had had. He wasn't as bulky though - he was tall and thin - and his face was a lot more open. What separated him most from his father's likeness though was the colorful cape, and the large mirrored glasses he wore - swirling with colors reflected from the room. He stood from his seat when Maven let the doors swing shut behind her, that wide smile still on his face. "You must be the embassy.""And you must be King Eret." You said, stooping into a bow. "Oh, there's no need for that." Eret said as you rose from your bow. He stepped down from the dias where his throne sat - colorful cape trailing behind him - and came to stand in front of you, taking your hand instead. "I'm not really one for formalities." He grinned, shaking your hand. His palm was warm against yours, and you could feel some slight callouses - most likely from practicing his sword work.
