"Is Bella feeling any better?"
Eleanor found herself back on campus that next Monday. She didn't want to go back, but Carlisle assured her Bella would be okay until she returned. She only had classes Monday and Tuesday, so she'd be returning to Forks on Wednesday.
"A little bit," Eleanor told Jessica, "she still looks like a ghost."
"What's wrong with her?" Angela asked.
"I think she caught something from the island," she lied.
"What island?"
Eleanor blushed, avoiding the girl's eyes. She mumbled out the name, keeping her eyes on the path in front of her.
"You have an island?" Jessica exclaimed, and Eleanor reached over to slap her arm.
"Shut up! Carlisle might've bought it after graduation," she said, shyly. She felt weird saying it out loud.
"Oh, my God." Angela laughed, "I need someone like Carlisle in my life."
Eleanor giggled as a blush painted her cheeks.
"You're telling me Edward and Bella went to your island before you?" Jess gave her sister a look, "you know that means they had s-"
"Yes, I know what that means Jessica," Eleanor stopped her, wrinkling her nose in disgust, "do not remind me."
Jessica and Angela snickered as the three of them turned the corner. Eleanor walked faster to ignore their teasing, and jogged up the stairs to the building. She could hear the two of them laughing behind her, and only rolled her eyes at the pair.
Tuesday snuck up on Eleanor and passed just as quickly. She was exhausted now, as she sat in her dorm packing her bag. She originally had planned to leave for Forks Wednesday morning, but she was worried for the vampires.
Jacob said that they hadn't fed in weeks, and from the way Carlisle sounded, it was catching up to them. The shapeshifter had called Eleanor earlier in the day and asked if she would keep an eye on Bella while he distracted the pack. She agreed instantly.

The door to the room opened quickly, and Jess and Angela came rushing in. Eleanor glanced over at them with an amused look, before focusing on her bag again.
"El, we want to talk to you before you leave," Angela told her, sitting on her bed.
Jess crawled on Eleanor's bed next to Angela and put her head in her hands, "it's about your wedding."
"Okay?" She said, hesitantly.
"Are you going to ask us to be bridesmaids?" Angela questioned.
Eleanor looked between the pair, before a smile broke out onto her lips, "I was if you guys would've gave me time. Now I'm not so sure."
Jess reached out and hit her with a small pillow and a grin, "you were really going to ask us?"
"Of course!" Eleanor laughed, "you're my sister, and Angela you're my best friend. It'd be weird to have my wedding without you guys in it."
The two launched forward and tackled Eleanor in a hug. The witch laughed and gave them both tight hugs in return, "I love you guys."
"We love you, too."
Eleanor hugged them tighter and squeezed her eyes tightly. She knew it'd be a while before she turned into a vampire, but she dreaded saying goodbye to the things she loved.
With a sigh, El released the two, "anyway, I have to get going."
"Why are you going over there tonight?" Jess asked.
"Wedding planning. I think we're finally setting a date tonight," she lied. She would really be protecting the house while the vampires hunted.
"Ah, have fun!"
"I'll try to," she said with a wink. Eleanor grabbed her bag and waved goodbye, before walking out of the room.
"Honey, I'm home!" Eleanor pushed the door shut, and spread her arms open as she entered the house. It didn't take long for Carlisle showed up with a puzzled look.

"What're you doing here?" He asked, pulling his mate in his arms.
"Nice to see you too," she rolled her eyes, "I'm guarding the house while you hunt."
Carlisle looked behind his shoulder and threw Jacob a dirty look. The wolf only waved at Carlisle with a grin, and Carlisle turned back to Eleanor. She shot him an innocent smile, but he only raised an eyebrow.
"I wish you would have told me," he said.
"Then it would've ruined the surprise," she teased, squeezing him tighter.
"What surprise?" Carlisle teased her back.
El scoffed, "me, of course."
Carlisle only laughed, and leaned down to peck her lips. Eleanor moved her lips against his slowly, then pulled back with a wide grin, "anyway, I told Angela and Jess that we'd set a date tonight, so let's do that and you can go hunt. You need it."
Carlisle's now black eyes peered down at her, and he nodded with a sigh, "okay. Come sit down."
Eleanor followed Carlisle to the sofa, and threw herself down on the cushions. Carlisle slowly sat down beside her, "what were you thinking?"
"I want it to be in the spring," she told him, "maybe April? And we'd obviously have to have it inside somewhere since you can't be in the sun because you sparkle."
She giggled at the thought of him in the sun, "but if you want to have it outside, we can figure something out."
Carlisle smiled, "I figured you'd want to get married in the spring," he took her hands in his, "El, I don't care where we get married, or when, or any of the little details. All I care about is marrying you, and spending the rest of eternity with you."
Eleanor closed her eyes as her cheeks grew warm. She opened them once again and gazed up at Carlisle, "I love you so much."
"I love you so much more," he teased, and reached down to capture her lips again. Eleanor moved her hands to his blonde hair, tangling her fingers in his locks. His hands gripped her waist loosely as his lips moved against hers.
"Hey, we're getting ready to - oh sorry!" Eleanor broke away from Carlisle at the sound of Jacob's voice. Her face was redder than ever, and she avoided Jacob's and Carlisle's eyes. Jacob cleared his throat, "we're going out. Are you ready Carlisle?"
"Yeah," he said, awkwardly. The doctor stood from the sofa with a quick squeeze of Eleanor's thigh. She kept her eyes away from his, trying to focus on returning to her regular skin tone. Jacob glanced at Eleanor one last time, then walked out of the room.
Eleanor moved her eyes to the doorway once they left, and let out a long sigh. The witch began to stand, when Alice rushed into the room. The energetic vampire landed next to Eleanor. Her dark eyes were gleaming with happiness and she grabbed El's hand, "I heard you and Carlisle talking about the wedding. Now I personally don't agree with his choice, but I know you'll plan a beautiful wedding. I had a few ideas of my own-"
"Alice!" Eleanor laughed, loudly, "as much as I love you, I want to plan most of my wedding. You can help me with the venue and cake. Not the dress."
Alice's lips turned to a pout, "but that's the best part."
"Not. The. Dress."
"Fine."

8 179Small Pond
In a world without systems, levels, or any standard power levels, Faust is a naturally skeptical person who always asks questions first and accepts after he gets confirmation. A lot of it. With some information unknown to the reader, represented as [?], Faust is left to discover who kidnapped him, where he is, if magic exists, and what to do while the reader silently observes him. And as for the YOU dear reader, I'll need your help choosing some things... Small Pond isn't meant to be a high-paced action light novel, but instead, there's a greater focus on world and character building in order to create a greater narrative. Expect the unexpected in this story ;) The release schedule will be paused, for now, I'm going to try and spend some time rethinking the intro and work on school.
