Eleanor was devastated when she had to return to Seattle. Since her engagement, she hadn't wanted to leave Carlisle. She was too happy, too giddy.

While she wasn't excited to leave, she was excited to show off her ring to Angela and Jess. She knew her sister was going to be happy for her. Eleanor hadn't stopped admiring it since Carlisle put it on her finger.

Now, Eleanor sat in her car. With another glance at her ring, she opened her door and swung her bag over her shoulder. She pulled out her phone and shot Jess a quick message, then headed for her first class.

Her day went swiftly, and soon Eleanor was back in her dorm room. She was by herself, as the girls had went to grab them dinner.

Since she was bored out of her mind, she dialled Carlisle's number and put her phone to her ear. After a few rings, her fiance picked up.

"Hello?"

"Hi!" Eleanor smiled.

"How are you today, El?" He chuckled.

"I'm fantastic," she replied, "you?"

"I'm great. How was class today?"

"Same as always. Boring. Have you heard from Bella and Edward?" Eleanor began to twirl her fingers around and mess around with her powers.

"I haven't heard from them since Edward called last night. He only called to say they had arrived to the island," he explained, and Eleanor suddenly stopped her movements.

"Island? Where'd they go?"

The line fell silent, and Eleanor narrowed her eyes, "Carlisle, what island did they go to?"

"I might've offered them our island," he said, and El scoffed.

"They got to go to the island before we did!" She wasn't angry, she was only messing with him. It was fun to make him flustered.

"I just thought it be nice for them so they wouldn't have to spend a lot of money!" Carlisle told her and she laughed.

"I'm only messing with you," she giggled. The door to their room began to open, and Eleanor sighed, "Jess and Angela just got back. I'll talk to you later."

"Have you told them yet?"

"No, I'm going to in a minute. I love you."

"I love you, too." Eleanor ended the call, and stood from her bed. Angela and Jessica were busying themselves by taking their food out of bags.

"That smells so good, I'm starving," Eleanor reached over with her right hand and grabbed a box of Chinese.

"You're always hungry," Angela joked, and Eleanor laughed.

"You're not wrong."

The three girls made their way over to Angela's bed. Her bed gave them the perfect view to the television, so that was where they always sat. Angela flipped on a movie and they dug into their food.

"Who were you talking to? Carlisle?" Angela asked, nudging Eleanor's shoulder and sending her a wink.

"Yes," Eleanor giggled.

"Were you saying that you were going to tell us something?" She asked, taking another bite of rice.

"Maybe..."

Jess and Angela sat upright, and Eleanor put her food on the table next to her. Quickly, she shoved her left hand in front of her.

Her friends gasped and Jess grabbed her hand, "Oh, my God that's gorgeous!"

"He proposed?" Angela squealed, "when did he do that?"

"Right after you two left," Eleanor said.

"How'd he ask? We need details!"

Eleanor dived into the details of Carlisle's proposal. Her twin and Angela gushed over how romantic Eleanor's fiance was.

"Have you picked a date?" Jess wondered.

"Jess, he just asked!" Eleanor exclaimed.

"Well, we're going to be in it, right?" Angela asked.

"Of course, you're going to be in it!"

Jess grabbed Eleanor's hand again, and peered down at the ring, "I'm so happy for you, Ellie."

Angela agreed with her, and Eleanor pulled them both into hugs, "thank you, girls."

Two weeks had passed since the wedding. Eleanor hadn't been back to Forks, which meant she hadn't had the chance to tell her mother about her and Carlisle.

She was a little worried about how her mom would react. Mrs. Stanley had only met Carlisle once as Eleanor's boyfriend, and now she was going to tell her that they were engaged. Thankfully she would have Carlisle by her side.

Eleanor despised the drive to and from Forks, but seeing Carlisle most weekends made it worth it. She was happy once she made it to the house.

She fixed her blouse and shut her car door, before heading to the door. She was only there to pick Carlisle up and then she would be going back later.

Just as she walked in the door, she was attacked with a hug. Eleanor let out a cough, attempting to hug Alice back, "Hi, Alice."

"I haven't seen you in ages!" The vampire said, happily, "I hate you being away at college."

"Believe me, I hate it too," she sighed, "have you seen Carlisle? We're supposed to be meeting my mom."

"Yeah, he was in his office," Alice told her, "I'm sure he'll be out any minute."

"Thanks," Eleanor followed Alice to the sitting room, and took her spot on the sofa. Emmett came down the stairs and plopped down on the couch next to her.

"The witch is back!" He exclaimed, and gently punched Eleanor's shoulder.

She glared at him, "I've been gone two weeks."

"You've practically lived here since you and Carlisle got together," Rosalie joked with her.

"The house is extra quiet now that you're away," Esme joined in, "It's a lot more lively when you're here."

"I'll try and visit more often," Eleanor said, "I've just had loads of homework."

"Are you ready to go Eleanor?" Carlisle suddenly walked into the room, fixing his sleeves.

"Yep," she nodded and stood up, "I'll see you guys soon!"

The family wished the two of them luck as the two walked out of the house. Carlisle rushed in front of El and opened the door for her. He closed her door, and then appeared in the driver seat.

Before he could start the car, El reached over and placed a kiss on his cheek, "I've missed you."

"Me too, Ellie."

Carlisle pulled out of the drive and onto the main road before taking Eleanor's hand, "do you think she'll take it well?"

Eleanor thought for a moment, "I'm sure she'll be a little shocked, but she'll be okay."

She tapped her leg up and down, trying to calm her nerves. While she thought her mother would be okay with her engagement, she was a little scared to see if her mom would act positively.

Thankfully, her house wasn't too far from Carlisle's, so she didn't have too much time to be negative. Carlisle parked in front of her house, and began to open his door before Eleanor stopped him. He turned to look at her in confusion.

Eleanor's blue eyes met his topaz, "what if she gets mad?"

"What happened to your positivity?" He teased.

She looked at her house and bit her lip. Carlisle sighed when he realized she was serious, "Eleanor. At the end of the day, the only people that matter are us, right? I know you want your mother's approval. But if it comes down to it, I want to marry you."

Eleanor softly smiled, and reached up to kiss Carlisle. She pulled away and rested her forehead on his, "I love you."

"I love you, too." He said, and opened his door. Eleanor followed his actions, and took his hand to walk up to the house.

Eleanor took a deep breath before reaching to open her front door, "mom? I'm home!"

Quick footsteps came from the living room, and Mrs. Stanley appeared in the hallway, "Ellie!"

Her mom crashed into her, causing Eleanor to stumble backwards. She hugged back the best she could, before her mom pulled away. She moved over to Carlisle next and quickly embraced him, "nice to see you too, Dr. Cullen."

"You too, Mrs. Stanley. And please, call me Carlisle." He smiled, and squeezed El's hand.

The couple followed Mrs. Stanley into the kitchen and took their seats. Eleanor's mom poured the three some juice and joined them at the table, "so how's school, Eleanor?"

"It's great," she said, "but we miss you a lot. It's weird not living at home."

"I miss you, too. I'm lonely now," Mrs. Stanley said and Eleanor felt guilty for not visiting her more often, "anyway, what are you two up to?"

Carlisle and Eleanor shared a look before Eleanor looked back at her mother. She was staring at her daughter with a gleam in her eye, and El had a suspicion that she knew what was going on.

"Well, " El started, looking over to Carlisle for support. "We're engaged."

Mrs. Stanley hummed and took a quick sip of her juice. Her eyes stayed at her daughter as she drank and Eleanor resisted the urge to break eye contact. Her mother was making her anxious.

She placed her cup on the table, "you don't think it's too soon? You don't think you're too young? I was your age when I married your father and you know how that worked out."

Eleanor's heart dropped and she averted her eyes to the table.

"I know this may seem a little soon," Carlisle cleared his throat, looking at Eleanor and then her mother, "but I'm in love with your daughter. It may sound cheesy, but I have been since the moment I first saw her. If Eleanor didn't want this, I wouldn't have asked. I should've asked you first, but I'm here now and asking for your blessing."

Eleanor stared at her fiance. She was so lucky to have him as her soulmate. She glanced over at her mother, praying that his little speech had meant something to her. Mrs. Stanley's lips raised slightly.

"Good answer," she nodded. Carlisle and Eleanor looked at each other in confusion.

"What?" El asked.

"I just wanted to know if he was serious about marrying you. It is a little weird to think my daughter is marrying someone thirteen years older than you, but what can I do? If you're happy, then I'm happy."

"Oh, mom!" Eleanor reached over to hug her. Mrs. Stanley squeezed her daughter back, holding her as close as she could, "I love you."

"I love you, Ellie," Mrs. Stanley whispered. They pulled away and Eleanor wiped the tears that had formed in her mom's eyes. Mrs. Stanley cleared her throat, "Anyway, can I see the ring?"

"So your mom took it well?" Esme asked later that night.

Eleanor nodded, and smiled at the woman, "way better than I thought she would."

"I was actually a little nervous," Carlisle admitted, and Eleanor laughed. Carlisle nudged her shoulder, chucking.

"Can we pick a date now?" Rose asked with a grin on her face.

"Can I plan it?" Alice wondered, "I'll make it an even bigger wed-." She stopped suddenly and her eyes went out of focus. Eleanor sat up, and stared at Alice with wide eyes.

The room grew quiet as Alice watched her vision. She broke out of it with a gasp, "get my phone. Call Bella. Now!"

Eleanor's heart raced as Alice was handed her phone and dialed Bella's number. She squeezed Carlisle's arm as the phone rung. It felt like ages before Bella answered the phone.

"Bella? Bella are you alright?" Alice panicked.

It was silent for a moment, "Why? What's wrong? I just..."

Alice stopped talking again and locked eyes with Carlisle. The doctor's face was stone cold, making Eleanor's anxiety worsen, "Here's Carlisle."

Alice passed him the phone, "Bella, what's going on?"

"Has Edward been harmed?" He asked, and Eleanor looked at Esme with worry. The woman came and sat by Eleanor. She put a comforting hand on her back.

He sighed, and ran a hand through his hair, "The sooner Bella's here, the sooner we can find out what it is. I need you to get to the mainland right away."

It was silent for a few minutes longer before Carlisle hung up. The vampires sat around in shock, while Eleanor stared at Carlisle, "what's going on? What happened?"

"I think Bella might be pregnant," he said and Eleanor's mouth dropped.

She cleared her throat and looked around the room, "our wedding is going to be a lot later than I had hoped."
