《Control [Carlisle Cullen]》1.0

"Jess," Eleanor said, "Jess just listen to me, please." She quickly placed her nearly forgotten items on the counter.
Jessica backed away from her as Eleanor stepped towards her twin. Eleanor's face fell, watching her sister back away from her. This is what she was scared of - her family finding out and being terrified of her.
"Jess, just listen to me," she tried again. She could feel the panic rising in her chest, feel the lump rising in her throat, "I'm not going to hurt you. Nothing is going to happen, just please listen to me."
Jessica only shook her head, and turned out of the kitchen. Eleanor fell back against the counter, laying her hand on her stomach. It finally happened.
"Oh, my God," she mumbled, "oh, my God. Oh, my God."
Tears stung the back of her eyes and she swallowed harshly, trying to fight back the pain. She couldn't be at her house anymore. Jess was going to tell her mother, and then her mom would be scared of her. She wouldn't be allowed home anymore.
Eleanor quickly grabbed a piece of paper and a pen, 'mom, Jess. I'm going on a camping trip with the Cullens'. I'll be back soon. Love you. x'
She taped the note to the refrigerator, and ran upstairs to her bedroom. Grabbing a bag, Eleanor stuffed as many clothes as she could fit. Eleanor wiped away the tears that fell from her eyes, as she slipped her shoes back on and went downstairs.
She couldn't believe she had slipped up like that. She was so stupid- she had managed to keep her powers hidden for eight years and one slip up had ruined it all.
Eleanor drove to Carlisle's house in a rush. The one thing she needed now was him. She needed him to tell her that it was going to be alright.
Her car screeched to a stop when she finally pulled up to the Cullen house. By the time she was out of the car, Carlisle was outside looking confused. Eleanor rushed towards him, hiding her tear stained face in his shoulder.
"Eleanor? Sweetheart, what's wrong?" Carlisle asked, holding her tightly. He felt hopeless, not knowing what was bothering his love.
"I messed up, Carlisle," she sobbed in his shoulder, "Jess saw me. She saw me, a-and she wouldn't even let me explain what it was."
Eleanor pulled away from him, her blue eyes meeting his amber ones. Her eyes were bloodshot from crying, and her nose was bright red. She knew she looked like a mess but Carlisle still stared at her with a look of love.
"God, you should've seen her face," Eleanor sighed, shaking her head, "I've never seen her look so scared."
"El," he whispered as he kissed the top of her head, "let's go inside."
She sniffed, and put her arm around his waist. She held onto him tightly as they walked up the steps.
Esme was the first to approach them and pulled Eleanor away from Carlisle and into her own arms for a tight hug, "what happened, El?"
The woman led her over to the living room, where most of the vampire sat - minus Edward and Bella. Esme and Carlisle sat on either side of Eleanor, trying their best to comfort her. The remaining four gathered close by, awaiting to hear what had happened to Carlisle's mate.
Eleanor wiped her face again, keeping her eyes away from their own, "I've managed to keep these powers hidden for eight years. She scared the shit out of me and I dropped some stuff. I didn't even think before I used them."

El adverted her eyes to Esme's, "can I stay with you for a little while?"
"You know you're always welcome here, Eleanor," Esme squeezed her hand with a small smile.
The rest of the family mumbled in agreement causing Eleanor to smile, "thank you."
Eleanor tapped her leg up and down as she checked her phone again. Her mom had texted her, but she heard no word from Jess. It had been three days since the encounter, and the vampires tried to convince Eleanor that this was good. If Jessica was going to tell their mother, she would've already done it.
"Eleanor?"
She looked over at Jasper, "are you ready?"
The battle would be tomorrow, and Eleanor had been working her bum off everyday leading up to it.
She nodded as she set her phone down beside her and stood. Eleanor glanced down at her hands and eyed the scarlet magic that circled around her fingers. She hated herself at the moment and looking at her powers only fueled her rage.
Eleanor's angry red eyes met Jasper's and she raised her hands to push her magic at him.
Her hands flowed effortlessly through the air as she fought against Jasper. He managed to dodge a few of her attempts, but was eventually pinned down. Her breath came out fast as she glared down at Jasper.
Jasper smirked up at the girl, "if you fight like that, you'll have no problem with the newborns."
She nodded at him, feeling a small amount of pride swell in her chest as she released him. Eleanor turned from him and rushed to grab her cellphone from the log. She sighed in disappointment when she saw the empty screen.
"Hey El," Bella walked past her, pushing her out of her thoughts.
"Hey Bells," she mumbled as she shoved her phone into her back pocket, "what's up?"
"Me, Edward, and Jasper are going to spread my scent around the clearing," she said, "wanna come?"
"Um," Eleanor noticed Carlisle standing on the porch, "I'm going to pass. Have fun."
She pushed past Bella, and met Carlisle on the balcony. El reached out her arms and walked into his own, then laid her head on his shoulder.
Carlisle kissed her forehead, "how are you today, love?"
"I don't know," she answered honestly. She had been through a lot of emotions the last three days. She just felt a huge mess of feelings and couldn't find a word to explain it. She could really use Jasper's gift.
"You did good today," he said.
"You saw?"
"Yes. You're upset, Eleanor. It's really helping you fight," Carlisle explained.
Eleanor squeezed his cold body closer to her, "I just want her to talk to me."
"She will. But you know that it's a shock to her - it's something you only see in movies."
"I'm guessing she hasn't told my mom yet," Eleanor told her mate, "or at least she hasn't said anything weird to me."
"Then focus on that. Maybe something good will come out of this," he lifted Eleanor's face up and pressed a chaste kiss to her lips, "I love you."
"I love you, too," she mumbled.
Maybe he was right. Maybe something good will come out of this.
Eleanor held a bag out to Bella, waiting for her friend to take it. It was time - the newborns were coming.
She could basically feel Bella's anxiety rolling off of her in waves. She was making Eleanor nervous and El couldn't wait until Bella left with Edward. She hated feeling anxious.

Bella took the bag from El and slung it over her shoulder. She stared at Eleanor for a moment, before pulling her into a hug, "please be safe, Eleanor."
Eleanor couldn't help but laugh, "I will, Bella. You better not do anything stupid, either."
"I'll try," she joked, pulling away from the hug.
Eleanor snorted and watched as her friend walked down the stairs. Carlisle stood beside Eleanor suddenly, "are you ready to go?"
"As ready as I'll ever be," she sighed and grabbed his hand, "let's go."
Carlisle leaned down so Eleanor could jump on his back and then he took off. The rest of the family ran around them and soon they were in a small clearing.
Eleanor pulled her red jacket tighter around her. It wasn't cold - it was June - but she was nervous and all she wanted was to be curled up in bed with a blanket. This was about as close as she was going to get.
Carlisle grabbed her hand and squeezed it, "I'll be beside you the whole time."
"I know," she whispered. His words did little to calm her fears. She was terrified of what could happen to them.
"Please don't get hurt, Eleanor," Carlisle said, now cupping her face.
She smiled up at him, softly, "that's not part of my plan."
"Carlisle, they're coming," Alice said, bringing the two back to their situation.
Carlisle's face turned hard, and he briefly kissed Eleanor's lips before facing forward. Eleanor studied him for a short moment, before putting her hands by her sides and opening her palms.
She had expected the newborns to come out of the woods. They looked terrifying - she had only seen three vampires with red eyes and now she was surrounded by them.
Newborns thirsted for human blood. El was human and if she happened to get hurt during this fight, then it'd be over for her. Eleanor was beginning to think this was a bad idea. In fact, she knew it was a bad idea.
She was absolutely terrified, but she had convinced Carlisle that she was ready for this. She couldn't back down now.
Carlisle and Eleanor shared another look just before the coven took off towards the newborns. Eleanor stayed behind - she was going to fight, but only if it was extremely necessary.
She watched the battle with calculating eyes. The Olympian coven seemed to have it under control. Sure they were outnumbered, but they knew how to fight. Suddenly, Sam jumped out in the clearing, grabbing a vampire in his jaws and crushing it.
A gasp left Eleanor's mouth when she noticed a small girl cowering away from the fight. She was headed towards Eleanor, though her eyes were focused on the fight in front of her. El raised her hands, readying herself in case the girl was going to attack.
She continued to walk backwards to Eleanor, stumbling over her feet as she walked. Eleanor twisted her arms and, using her magic, whipped the girl around the face her. The vampire looked at Eleanor with wide eyes, "what're you doing?"
"What're you doing?" Eleanor retorted, "why aren't you fighting?"
"I-I don't want to," she stuttered, "I don't want to fight."
Eleanor could hear the fear in her voice, before sighing as she let the girl go, "stay behind me if you don't want to fight. I'm sure Carlisle will take you in once this is all over. What's your name?"
"Bree Tanner," she smiled gratefully. Bree crouched behind a large rock beside El.
"Eleanor Stanley."
"Watch out!" Bree shouted, causing Eleanor to whip around to come face to face with a newborn.
Her heart fell - the boy couldn't have been more than sixteen. Unfortunately, Eleanor had to fight him.
With a grunt, Eleanor wrapped the man in tendrils of scarlet. His eyes widened as he looked around himself. In between her palms rested a small ball of power.
"What the hell are you?" The boy asked.
She scoffed, "I don't even know, dude."
Eleanor spread her arms wide apart, stretching the magic through the air. The newborn gradually fell down to his knees, his back bending towards the ground as she pressed her hands closer together.
Similar to when she was fighting Emmett, the ground beneath him began to crack, "please stop."
"I'm sorry," she answered, feeling guilt flood into her heart. She looked away from him, locking eyes with Paul who began to run towards them.
He grabbed the newborn's head in his mouth and tore it off, just as Eleanor broke the ground and sent his body underneath. Paul sent her a nod before running back towards the vampires.
Eleanor looked over at Carlisle, who had just slammed a newborn into the ground as Esme laid a fist to his head. She smiled at the two of them.
A glare soon replaced her grin when she saw Rose on the ground. Eleanor faced both of her hands to the ground, lifting herself up and floating over to Rosalie. When she landed, she waved her hand, causing the newborn's worst fear to fill his head.
He fell backwards long enough for Rosalie to kill him, "thank you."
"No problem."
"Eleanor," Rose pointed over at Carlisle, who's back was pressed up against a rock. He pushed against the girl to no avail.
Eleanor took a few steps forward, before shooting out her hands. The girl froze. She let out a piercing scream, then Eleanor flipped her hands and sent the vampire flying into a large boulder.
She stared over at the dead vampire with a frown. El felt wrong for killing them, even if they were after her family. A pair of strong arms grabbed Eleanor, and she nearly screamed.
The girl pushed her hands back into her stomach and spun on her heel to face whoever had grabbed her. She was about to shoot her hands forward to attack again, but stopped when she saw Carlisle on the ground.
She let out a breath of relief, "oh, my God, Carlisle."
He stood quickly and pulled her into a close embrace, "it's okay. I'm so happy you're alright."
"Eleanor?"
Eleanor let go of Carlisle and turned to Bree, "are you alright?"
Bree nodded, "thank you."
Carlisle stared at the two in confusion, "who is this?"
"That's Bree. She didn't want to fight, Carlisle," Eleanor explained, looking at him and the rest of the family, "I told you that you could help her."
"Something's wrong," Alice shouted, alerting the three.
Edward and Bella burst through the trees. Eleanor rushed up to Bella, enveloping her in a hug, "did you kill Victoria?"
"Yes," Bella mumbled, gripping her arm.
Eleanor glanced down at it, noticing the blood running through her shirt. She rolled her eyes, "what did I say about not doing anything stupid?"
Bella just laughed, awkwardly and the two walked back to their mates.
"How long Alice?" Edward asked.
"Not long, ten minutes."
"What's happening?" Eleanor asked Carlisle.
"Volturi," he answered. Bree tensed, and Eleanor moved the girl behind her and Esme.
"The pack needs to leave," Jasper said, "the Volturi won't honor a truce with the wolves."
A snap of a twig caused Eleanor to freeze. She turned to look behind her only to notice a newborn sneaking out from behind a rock.
"Leah, don't!" She called when she saw the grey wolf leap towards the vampire. Jacob pushed her away, grabbing the vampire.
She held her breath as the two fought, but within a second, the vampire wrapped his arms around Jacob's stomach and pressed down. A whine left his lips and he instantly fell to the ground.
"Oh, my God!" Eleanor sprinted over to Jacob as the wolves finished the newborn. The pain caused Jacob to shift back and he curled into a small ball.
"Jacob, you're gonna be okay," Eleanor told him, "Carlisle's going to take care of you."
Carlisle crouched down next to his mate, "his bones on the right side of his body are shattered."
Jacob groaned, "Bella."
"I'm right here, Jake," she said, grabbing his hand.
Leah marched into the clearing with a scowl, "Jake, you idiot, I had it!"
"Leah don't!" Sam snapped, causing the girl to shift her glare to him.
Carlisle ignored them all, "I need to set the bones before his accelerated healing kicks in. It's already starting."
"We need to get him out of here," Sam said, "I'll take him back to Billy's."
"I'll be there as soon as I can," Carlisle replied. Eleanor bit her lip and took Carlisle's hand as she watched the men walk away with Jacob.
"He'll be okay, Eleanor," he told her.
"They're coming!" Alice called.
Eleanor snapped her eyes up to forest as four cloaked vampires emerged. Her breath got caught in her throat as she stared at them. They radiated power.
The four came to a stop in front of them and simultaneously pulled off their hoods. Eleanor almost scoffed, what a way to make an entrance.
"Impressive," the words came from the girl in the middle. Her light blonde hair shined in comparison to her pale skin. Her red eyes stood out as she locked eyes with Carlisle, "I've never seen a coven escape an assault of this magnitude intact."
"We were lucky," Carlisle said, tensely.
"I doubt that," the smile on her lips unsettled Eleanor.
"It appears we missed an entertaining fight," the boy on her left said with a smirk. Eleanor looked between them and, after a moment, realized they were the twins. Jane and Alec.
"Yes," she agreed, "it is not often we are rendered unnecessary."
"If you arrived a half hour ago you would have fulfilled your purpose," Edward said.
"Pity," Jane spat. Her eyes suddenly landed on Eleanor and her smirk grew, "ah. You're the famous mate everyone's been talking about."
Eleanor only glared at Jane, and she allowed her eyes to glow the same crimson red as theirs. Jane's eyes widened for a split second in shock, but she covered it quickly with a smug grin. Her eyes darted behind Eleanor and to Bree.
"You've missed one," she tsked.
"We've offered her asylum in exchange for her surrender," Eleanor explained.
"That wasn't yours to offer, witch."
Eleanor's mouth fell open slightly at what Jane had called her. Witch.
"Why did you come?" She focused her attention on Bree, "who created you?"
Before she could answer, Bree fell to her knees and screamed in pain. Eleanor stepped forward, raising her hand, just for Carlisle to grab her wrist. She glared at him only to watch as he subtly shook his head.
"Stop!" Esme shouted, "she'll tell you anything you want to know!"
"I know," Jane smiled. Eleanor suddenly felt sick.
"I don't know!" Bree cried, "Riley wouldn't tell us! He said our thoughts weren't safe."
"Her name was Victoria," Edward said, "perhaps you knew her."
"Edward, if the Volturi had any knowledge of Victoria they would have stopped her," Carlisle said to his son, shooting him a warning look, "isn't that right, Jane?"
"Of course," the girl didn't miss a beat. Eleanor narrowed her eyes at her, "Felix."
Eleanor looked up at the tallest of the group, a brunette with pale skin and dark red eyes. He focused on Bree, and Eleanor shook her head, "she didn't fight! She's innocent, just leave her alone!"
"Give her a chance," Esme placed a hand on Eleanor's shoulder, "we'll take full responsibility for her."
"The Volturi don't give second chances," Jane murmured, "keep that in mind. Caius will be interested to know that she's still human."
"The date is set," Bella spoke.
Jane hummed, "take care of this, Felix. I'd like to go home."
Eleanor stepped forward again and, before Carlisle could grab her, she shot a hand towards Felix. Emmett jumped in front of her magic, and fell backwards on the ground. Eleanor immediately dropped her hand, and knelt down besides Emmett.
Felix stared at the human, briefly, but then focused back on the newborn. Carlisle crouched down beside Eleanor and turned her into him, to shield her from the events unfolding before them.
Eleanor squeezed her eyes shut at the sound of Bree's screams, but she couldn't stop the tears that fell down her cheeks.

Essence Eater (A Super Progression Fantasy)
Gods. Demons. Aliens. Superheroes. Supervillains.Consume them all for power. Eighty years have passed since WW2, when Prime took to the skies and ended the war. No one knows what gave him his power, or what birthed the wave of supers that came after. Some claimed the nuclear bombs dropped in Japan cracked the barrier between Universes, allowing alien energies to enter the dimension. Others believed the wars finally triggered what humanity needed to reach a new stage of evolution. Daniel Das lives with his uncle in post-super London, the League of Hero's primary hub. He's spent all of his twenty-one years pushing himself, training in martial arts and studying supers, hoping he'll awaken his metagene and gain super powers. The cut-off age is close, but he hasn't yet awakened superpowers. Meanwhile, the League is steadily losing parts of the city to the growing villain factions. Daniel's uncle wishes to keep him away from the world of supers, but with the hot zones closing in, that's easier said than done. There are villains selling unregulated superpowers to gangs and dark days are on the horizon. Despite his limitations, there is no stopping Daniel. He is ravenous for power. If needed, he will ally with demons if they give him the power to protect his family and home. -------------------------------- This world building is heavily inspired by Worm and The Boys. It features dark, realistic storylines, corporation-funded heroes, and villains who aren't necessarily bad guys. The protagonist's powerset involves the crowd-favourite consuming enemies for power trope, too. The GameLit/LitRPG elements are super light and takes a while to kick in. The powercreep is slow as well since I don't enjoy overpowered protagonists. Chapters everyday until book 1 is complete. The schedule will change once I reach that point.

Era: Dawn of the New Gods
Concise Synopsis: This is a post-apocalyptic story about the origins of various powerful figures that appeared after the apocalypse event. During the apocalypse monsters appeared possessing powers and constitution beyond the limits of human understanding. They ravaged the world and brought down all governments. The first part of the story follows Jade, a terrorist that was ravaging the world before the monsters arrived. Dramatic Synopsis: The New Gods, the most feared and revered beings on the planet. They are forces capable of absolute destruction and creation. The Council of Branches Hayley, the Living Lie (if that is her real name) Chao Feng, the Prince of Stars Lara, the Mother of Heroes The Great City of Tver Gog, the Ever Losing War The Unkillable Freak Dave, the Flow Demon Avatari, (only the name is known) Satoshi, the Gentle Hurricane As Impactful as they are no one knew their origin, they are called the New Gods so there must be Old Gods. I and my collegues dedicated our lives to finding their origins only to find out that the beings we fear and adore were once like us, average, mortal and weak... at least most of them were. *It is a sort of reverse RPG as no one knows anything either skills, abilities or how the system works but they find out on their own or develop their own skills or abilites. *The story has many protagonists and point of views but it paints a beatiful story of survival in a world of endless perils for both the humans and the monsters(some monsters are protagonists). *There is a system but it is very limited (not overpowered) and treats everyone equally, monster or human. The system is very different from regular systems; no exp, levels and system items. *The story is a world building story where overall, the world is the true main character. The cover image photo is credited to Angel David *For now it's one chapter a day

Two And A Half Deadmen
Silver-Spruce is a very strange and very haunted town. Ghosts inhabit its buildings and walk its streets. Some of them friendly and sane. Some of them not so much. Alder helps ghosts. Helps them fulfill their last requests so they can move on to whatever comes next. Sometimes the ghosts aren't so friendly and have to be moved on by force. Alder does that as well. And he's gotten rather good at it too. After a particularly rough exorcism, he finds himself following a strange ghost to a local tourist attraction. And while Alder never means to find himself caught up in chaos, monsters, magic, and mayhem always seem to have a way of finding him. You want more specifics for what you're reading? Here you go: This is Urban-fantasy but a little bit of a different spin. Often the protagonists in such stories tend to be the bigger fish in their world, or at least far from small fry. Be they legendary boogie men or badass wizards (which is in no way a bad thing, I love a lot of those stories.) But I thought it would be fun to have a protagonist who's far closer to the bottom end of the scale. He has some magic, and it's potent in its own way. But he isn't the big dog or a fighting machine. Outside of his bubble of influence, our protagonist is essentially a normal human as far as powers are concerned. And while you should be warned that this story will get dark in some places it's (hopefully) balanced out by humor and the lighter stuff. I'm not sure how to end this synopsis section so I'll just say bye. Bye!
