"Did Edward tell Bella about Alice's vision?" Eleanor found herself in Carlisle's office that night. While she had escaped to the Reservation for a little while, Alice's vision still haunted her thoughts.

"No," Carlisle shook his head, "but Edward took her to Florida to see her mom and get her away from Victoria."

"When will she come?" Eleanor asked, worriedly.

"Tomorrow night." He answered.

"I want to help you fight," Eleanor thought aloud. She remembered protecting herself and Bella from James and how proud she was of herself. She wanted to help stop Victoria.

"Eleanor," Carlisle sighed, "even if I did let you fight, you couldn't keep up with her."

"You can carry me or something," she said, "plus I'm more powerful than you, so I could do more damage to her."

"More powerful?" he teased.

Eleanor just raised a brow and stepped away from him, before turning towards the door. Suddenly, the girl turned on her heel and whipped her arms around front and aiming at Carlisle. A scarlet orb shot out of her hands, and hit Carlisle in the chest.

She watched him fly backwards and onto the couch and laughed. Carlisle smirked at her, and used his speed to appear in front of her. He grabbed her waist once again.

"Yes more powerful. You're a vampire but the only gift you have is extreme self control," she giggled. She was just teasing him, of course, but she was having fun with it.

"Alright, you win," he leaned down and pulled her in for a deep kiss. Eleanor moved her lips against his, and sighed contently when he pulled away.

"Does that mean I can help you?"

He stared into her eyes momentarily, before throwing his head back and groaning, "I guess you can help us."

"Thank you," she smiled. Suddenly a previous thought came to her, and she frowned, "what's happening in Seattle? I heard Charlie mention something about it the other day and forgot to ask you."

"A boy went missing about a year ago. Since then there's been more mysterious disappearances and murders," he explained.

"So vampires?" She raised her eyebrows.

"We think so. We're keeping an eye on it to see if it gets any worse."

"So now we have to worry about Victoria and this? Fantastic."

The Cullens and Eleanor stood in the woods not too far from the Cullen house. Eleanor stood next to Carlisle, her hand tucked in his. Her eyes scanned the area, her mind searching for Victoria's.

"Are you sure this is where you saw her?" Emmett asked, crossing his arms as he stood next to Rosalie.

"She's almost here," Alice reassured and gasped "on your left!"

Carlisle put Eleanor on his back, and took off after his family. Eleanor held onto him with one arm, and kept the other at her side in case she needed to use her powers. The wind whipped her face, and she squinted her eyes to see better. She should have really thought this through more.

Eleanor could make out Victoria's figure in front of them and smirked. She gripped Carlisle tighter, and raised her hand as a scarlet orb appeared. She threw the energy to Victoria, and watched as she landed next to Emmett.

He was able to grab her arm, but Victoria spun around and twisted her arm out of his grasp. Eleanor could hear Emmett growl, and her eyes widened when she saw Victoria leap over the creek.

"Emmett, they'll handle her!" Esme shouted, trying to get the boy's attention.

"She'll get away!" He yelled, and lept over the creek after her.

"Emmett no!"

A wolf suddenly jumped in front of Emmett and collided into him. Emmett flew back in the river, and stood, glaring at the wolf. Eleanor could tell it was Paul, and watched as the two growled at each other.

Carlisle stopped, and set Eleanor back on the ground. She sighed, and looked up at him. He smiled down at her and took her hand again, "at least we tried."

She hummed, "I'm sure some of the wolves are still chasing her too. We'll get her."

"Yeah," he said, staring back at the direction in which Victoria disappeared, "let's go back to the house, El. Are you staying tonight?"

She nodded, "if that's okay."

Carlisle laughed, "it's always better when you're over there, sweetheart."

Eleanor's face turned red, and she looked down at the forest floor. Carlisle chuckled to himself before he spun Eleanor around. She squealed as she spun through the air, and suddenly landed on Carlisle's back.

He turned his face slightly and Eleanor took the chance to peck his cheek. She wrapped her arms around his neck, and her legs around his waist. Carlisle's hands found the back of her thighs, and then he took off towards the house.

Eleanor buried her face into Carlisle's neck, doing her best to shield herself from the cold wind in Forks. While she liked running around with Carlisle, she hated her hair getting in her face and the wind stinging her eyes. At least the run from where they were and the Cullens' wasn't very far.

"I'll be right back," Eleanor called to Carlisle before grabbing a pair of trousers from her bag and entering the bathroom. She quickly slipped into the sweatpants and let her hair down, untangling it with her fingers. Eleanor scrubbed her makeup off her face, then exited the toilet.

Carlisle wasn't in the room when Eleanor entered. She sighed when she didn't see him, but went over to the bed. She fell face first onto the bed, and buried herself beneath the blanket and stuffed her head into the pillow.

Carlisle entered the room quietly. A smile fell upon his lips when he saw Eleanor lying on the bed. He leaned against the door, and stared at her for a moment. He was so in love with her and everything about her. Carlisle thought back to when he first met her in the hospital, and chuckled when he remembered who mesmerized she had been.

Eleanor opened an eye when she heard Carlisle's laugh. She lifted her head up and shot him a sleepy smile, "what're you laughing at?"

He uncrossed his arms, and made his way over to his mate, "I was just thinking about the time when you and I first met."

"Oh really?" She giggled, "and why is that funny?"

"You couldn't stop staring at me," he started to chuckle again, "it was very obvious."

"Carlisle shut up," Eleanor blushed, and slapped Carlisle's arm.

He took her in his arms. His smile grew wider when she wrapped her arms around him and laid her head on his chest. Her own mind wandered to her time together with Carlisle.

Her brows furrowed and she lifted her head, "we've never been on a date."

Carlisle looked at her, shocked. He seemed to be going through memories, trying to find a time when they had. His lips gradually turned upwards, "I guess I'll have to arrange that, huh?"

"I guess you will," she smiled back.
